Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried: Getting Married in January!

One year ago this week, The Bachelorette star Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried got engaged on the show after he earned her coveted final rose. Now, Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray own the majority of that spotlight, but the fire still burns between Des and Chris, who are still together and happy. And getting married this winter! Desiree Hartsock’s bridal shower was held in Hollywood last weekend, and upon her return to Seattle, where they now live, they dished on their plans. They are aiming for this coming January, Hartsock and Siegfried say, and are “thinking an intimate wedding with about 125 people,” according to Chris. Will ABC air it? The two are open to that as well. “We are up for sharing it,” says Siegfried . “Our entire love story unfolded in front of (millions of viewers.)” Hartsock, a bridal stylist for eight years in Southern California, has designed her own wedding dress, having teamed up with Maggie Sottero designs. Desiree is also launching her own line of wedding dresses – a combination of Art Deco and modern – with Sottero, along with her own jewelry line. Siegfried, like Dorfman’s fiance Josh Murray , is a former professional baseball player (he pitched for four years in the minors) who now works in finance. Take note, guys who enjoyed a minor league baseball career but couldn’t make it to the big leagues so they got a real job but haven’t landed a hot brunette yet. Des and Chris are also returning to reality TV, albeit briefly. The two will apparently be visiting Bachelor in Paradise this season to serve as couples’ “love doctors.” “We seem to have an immense amount of expertise with this relationship thing,” jokes Siegfried, who says they agreed to that brief role to help out. Whether the wedding goes down in January or a little later, on TV or in private, it looks like the matchmaking show has another bona fide success story on its hands. Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser: Married!

Former Gilmore Girls actress Alexis Bledel and Mad Men star Vincent Kartheiser reportedly got married back in June in a secret ceremony. Bledel and Kartheiser got engaged in 2012, shortly after she guest starred on Mad Men . The ceremony was both low-key and star-studded as guests included several of the couple’s co-stars. Fortunately, Kartheiser is said to be nothing like Pete Campbell – the weaselly social climber he portrays on Mad Men. In fact, the actor is famously devoted to an ascetic lifestyle. He doesn’t own a car, and has lived for years in a 600-square-foot “micro-home” in Hollywood. Bledel has reportedly embraced Kartheiser’s simplistic way of living…though she has gotten him to part with his miniscule crib. Little is known about the ceremony itself, other than that the couple kept things basic, in accordance with their beliefs.  “Alexis looked breathtaking,” says one guest. “She wore a floor-length gown and her hair was up. Vincent wore a grey suit and teared up when she walked down the aisle.” Congrats to the happy couple! Here’s hoping Vincent doesn’t take his marriage cues from the guys at Sterling-Cooper! James Garner Dies; Veteran Actor Was 86

Amiable and acclaimed actor James Garner of The Rockford Files and Maverick fame has died at the age of 86, according to multiple news reports. Law enforcement sources reported that an ambulance was dispatched to the actor’s home in Los Angeles around 8 p.m. Saturday evening. He was dead when they arrived. No immediate cause of death was available. A man who cut a dashing figure but also brought a sly sense of humor, Garner played private investigator Jim Rockford from 1974-80 on The Rockford Files . He was already known as gun-slinging Bret Maverick from 1957-60. In many respects, Garner was unusual for being very successful in both film and television. He starred in more than 50 films over his impressive career. He starred in The Great Escape (1963), The Americanization of Emily (1964), Victor Victoria (1982) and was nominated for an Oscar in Murphy’s Romance (1985). In addition to those and countless other TV and movie roles, also appeared in The Notebook (2004) as the older version of Ryan Gosling‘s Duke. R.I.P. Celebrities We Lost in 2014 1. Behati Prinsloo and Adam Levine: Married!

Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo are officially husband and wife as the Maroon 5 singer and model, who got engaged last summer, tied the knot in Mexico. The location was Flora Farms in Los Cabos, and the newlyweds were feted by approximately 275 of their close friends and family on Saturday night. While the bride wore a custom-made Marchesa dress, while the guests were not held to a specific dress code for the summer-inspired affair. “All the guests were happy and relaxed,” says a source close to the couple. “They were excited to celebrate with the couple on their big day.” The rustic setting and its intimate ceremony capped off a celebration-filled weekend for the duo that included a beach celebration Friday night as well. Levine, 35, previously partied with a group of about 50 friends at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas for his bachelor party, but those days are over. He recently commented that he has ” had enough bachelor parties ” in his lifetime and was ready to settle down with the Namibian-born Prinsloo, 25. “I definitely feel like I’m sitting in the chair I’m supposed to be sitting in right now,” The Voice coach said, looking back. “It all feels very natural.” Congratulations to the happy couple! Of course, these pictures are only half as good as they could’ve been though, considering Kaley covered up for some reason. Scooter Braun, the manager and very close friend of Justin Bieber, exchanged vows on Saturday with Yael Cohen in Whistler. Miley Cyrus Reveals Shrine to Dead Dog Floyd on Instagram

Miley Cyrus’ dog died  back in April, setting off a downward spiral of depression for the singer that had many fans concerned for her wellbeing. After word got out that Miley’s dog was killed by a coyote , much of the concern turned to outrage, and some of Miley’s Twitter followers accused her of being an unfit pet owner. Miley’s new dog Emu was all over her Instagram page over the weekend (It’s actually her second new dog since the coyote attack. She gave the first away, feeling that it was “too soon.”), and while she’s clearly in love, she wants to make sure everyone knows she hasn’t forgotten about the dear, departed Floyd: Mile Cyrus’ Dog Shrine That’s a video that Miley took of a wall in her house that serves as a shrine to Floyd. Regardless of how you feel about Miley’s abilities as a pet owner, certainly everyone can agree that the shrine video is kinda sweet, but more than a little creepy. Miley nearly went off the deep end in the weeks following Floyd’s death, so there’s a lot of pressure on Emu to serve as a stabilizing force for the eccentric singer.
