If you’re a female celebrity, it’s pretty much a rule that you fall in love with Taylor Swift at some point. First Taylor and Karlie Kloss became BFFs . Shortly thereafter, every hot model on earth decided they want to hang with Taylor . Now it’s Lorde’s turn. Lorde and Taylor have hung out previously, and the duo was quickly anointed with the obvious nickname of “Lorde and Taylor.” (Ya know? Like the store! Derp!) But their relationship reached a new height today, as the 17-year-old New Zealand native gave an interview in which she basically just gushed about Swifty the whole time: “I feel like Taylor is a really good role model and I think that the girls who listen to her music are so devoted to her, and I think that what she’s saying is pretty cool. It’s empowering.” Wow. Lorde had previously “insulted” Taylor by describing her as “perfect and unattainable,” but says Tay-Tay wasn’t offended by the world’s most flattering diss: “She was like, ‘It’s fine,'” says Lorde. “‘If all you’ve done is call someone perfect, it’s not a bad thing.'” Even her responses to put-downs are perfect! Of course, now that Lorde and Taylor are relationchicks, Swift might have some explaining to do with one of her other besties.
