While most of the announced tour stops in support of his For Your Entertainment album take place in June, more summer dates will be added. The tour winds up on September 18 in St. Petersburg, Florida, with stops all over the country in between. “I hope the audience will be able to escape for a few hours and fall into a world full of glam, drama and excitement,” Lambert said in a press release. “And I would love everyone to come away with a new appreciation for the music on my album.” While he already knows what it’s like to share the stage with Iraheta, he’s excited to be bringing Orianthi along for the tour. “I was lucky enough to work with Orianthi on the ‘Sleepwalker’ track on my album,” he said. “She is a killer guitarist and a great vocalist. I’m so excited to be sharing the stage with her. “I am such a fan of Allison’s music and I am so excited for her to perform it live in front of an audience,” Adam added about his pal Iraheta. “We have such a great brother-and-sister energy, having shared the stage both on ‘American Idol’ and on the tour [last] summer. She is pure rock and roll.” So, what should fans expect from the show? Lambert teased that it’s very theatrical in nature and that he wants his costumes to be very “cutting-edge.” “I hope to use some special-effects lighting,” Lambert explained. “The Glam Nation Tour is going to be very theatrical. People won’t be let down in the glam department; it’ll definitely be something to look at as well as listen to.” Here are the dates for Adam Lambert’s Glam Nation summer tour:

‘420 Day’: Events Around The Annual Unofficial Celebration

The national High Holiday for pot smokers is a long tradition. Photo: Justin Sullivan/ Getty Images If you notice that some slackers are conspicuously absent from the office on Tuesday (April 20), just look at the calendar for a clue as to why: It is, after all, “420,” the national High Holiday for marijuana enthusiasts from coast to coast. Whether advocating for pot legalization or just taking a day to wake, bake and repeat, “Marijuana Appreciation Day” has turned into an unofficial day of reflection for pot smokers. ( Editor’s note: MTV does not endorse the use of any illegal substances or events that promote their consumption. ) Among the major events commemorating the day is a daylong rally at Denver’s Civic Center Park calling for marijuana legalization, as well as an unauthorized public smoke-out on the campus of the University of Colorado in Boulder that is expected to draw thousands. There is also a large annual gathering at the University of California at Santa Cruz, where thousands get together at 4:20 on 4/20 for a giant smoke-out. The origins of the holiday vary, including suggestions that it’s tied to the penal-code violation in California for marijuana possession or to the amount of chemicals in pot plants, though urban myth has it springing from a group of 1970s teenage potheads in San Rafael, California, called the Waldos who would gather at the same statue every day at 4:20 p.m. to get high. The term began to catch on in the 1990s and has since become shorthand for lighting up, even popping up in movies like “Pulp Fiction,” where all the clocks are set to 4:20. The latest 420 Day comes as a new poll from The Associated Press and CNBC found that 55 percent of Americans oppose marijuana legalization while 33 percent support it, though the figures were very different for those under 30, where 54 percent favored legalization to 39 against. The site CelebStoner.com has listed a number of events celebrating the day, including shows by Snoop Dogg in New York (at the Fillmore), Cypress Hill in San Francisco (at the Warfield), Willie Nelson in Topeka, Kansas (at the Topeka Performing Arts Center) and Sublime with Rome in Los Angeles (at the Palladium). Not at all coincidentally, Cypress Hill’s latest, Rise Up is slated for release on Tuesday, along with new ones from fellow weed-thusiasts the Kottonmouth Kings, Devin the Dude and Nelson. There is also a “420” celebration in Los Angeles that will feature a silent plant auction, music from DJ Crash, cultivation lectures, performances, comedy and music from Lunell, Red Spanky Hayes and others. Milton, Washington will host the Seattle Hempfest 420 Members’ Social at the Cedarwood Dome & Hookah Lounge, described as a 21+ “member’s only evening of music and discussion about the origins of 420, the cultural significance of the number, and the future of cannabis in modern society.” There are also screenings of the “Phish 3D” movie in Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York and Washington D.C., and a 420 Film Fest in Calgary, Alberta, which last year honored such cinematic triumphs as “Johnny Appleweed,” “Blaze” and “400 Bowls.” The day’s activity — which happens to coincide with Adolf Hitler’s birthday — comes at a time when medical marijuana use has been approved in 14 states, including Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, Michigan, New Mexico, Vermont Rhode Island and New Jersey.

April Fool’s Topeka Google Logo

Last April Fool’s, Google surprised its search engine users when they posted an April Fool’s prank using a Topeka Google Logo. It served as thank you to the real Topeka, a name of a town in Kansas when Google wanted their bid for the broadband network service to win, the Topeka mayor temporarily changed the name of the town to Google Kansas just recently. With this came the origin  of the Topeka Google Logo which Google used as prank to its users this April Fool’s. Well, it is clear that Google is not changing its name however this Topeka Google Logo was one heck of a surprise for the Google search engine users. April Fools:Bieber or Die, Google to Topeka

How exciting April fools day is. The happenings in the internet and with some celeberities gave more excitement to this celebration. Some said that it is a way to increase popularity. There were reports earlier that Google change its name to TOPEKA and that the town Topeka in Kansas has been renamed to Google, Kansas. This made many people confused. Another story of an April fool prank is about what Starbucks did. They announced to have new sizes, the Plenta which is more like a bucket of KFC, and the Micra having small size. A news came in the internet that Funny or Die announced that Justin Bieber bought the site. The news made Bieber’s fans surprised. Its new name, Bieber or Die, made the site more popular. Everything said was, of course, hoaxes! April fools! April Fools:Bieber or Die, Google to Topeka is a post from: Daily World Buzz Continue reading

Google Changes Name to Topeka

Go to the Google homepage, and see if you can spot something out of common. Yes, the Google logo has changed. That’s because Google has announced on its Official Google Blog that the company has officially changed its name and it’s now called Topeka. It’s all true. As a matter of fact, the company asks to use the term Google to refer to the Kansas city that changed its name from Topeka to Google last month in order to earn the right to be one of the cities where Google Topeka will experiment its 1Gbps fiber optic service. Google, Kansas served as inspiration for the rebranding of the company. Google/Topeka explains on its blog post that both the company and the city have many things in common, therefore it’s an honor to have switched names. The Mountain View based company is completely serious [wink] about the rebranding that it has even changed all sings on the Googleplex, which we’re guessing is called the Topekaplex now, from Google to Topeka. Google Topeka says that the decision was not an easy one. For instance, there are certain things that will change from now on. The company states that there might even be some consequences and even disruptions. added by: UrbanGypsy

Topeka is Google? Google Changes Name to Topeka Kansas

Why does Google say Topeka? What does Topeka mean? What is Topeka? Where is Topeka? So many questions… and we have the answers. The quiet town of Topeka Kansas did something no one thought of before. They changed their name, temporarily, to “Google.” So anyone hailing from that town had an address of “Google, Kansas” for that short period of time. It was a great marketing trick to get that said little town of Topeka Kansas on the map, and not just Google Maps. It seems that their strategy is really paying off. The search giant, Google Inc. has changed their name to Topeka. Google is no longer Google. Googling someone is no longer an acceptable phrase. From now on, when you go online to search, you are Topeking. You go to Topeka. Here are some suggested ways of adapting and using this new language. Proper use of Topeka – “Before our blind date, I did a Topeka search on him.” Acceptable use of Topeka – “Before our blind date, I Topeka’ed him.” Questionable use of Topeka – “Before our blind date, I Topeka’d his ass.” Incorrect use of Topeka – “Before our blind date, I topeka’ed him with Alta Vista.” Of course, as cool as this all seems. It’s just an April Fools Day prank from Google Topeka. Happy April Fools Day! You can find more cool April Fools jokes online! Google Changes Name to Topeka Kansas Topeka is Google?
