Today Show Hosts Laugh Off "Erroneous" Shake-Up Report, Appear to Get Along Well

This just in: There is nothing just in at The Today Show. Despite chatter online yesterday of  Natalie Morales and Willie Geist being fired – along with Tamron Hall being demoted and Al Roker simply being a nut case – all four hosts were very much behind their microphones this morning on the NBC program. And they found the firing rumors to be a source of only partially awkward humor. Today Show Mocks Anchor Shake-Up Rumors “Aren’t you supposed to be at MSNBC?” Roker joked to Morales, while Hall said she “read on the Internet” that her colleagues weren’t supposed to be there. Geist, who appeared on the show via satellite from Brooklyn, also addressed the rumors, saying many times that the recent headlines are “erroneous.” “Natalie and I walked into work yesterday and we looked at each other and said ‘What are you doing here?’…” he joked, before turning serious: “I do want to say, and I know Natalie feels the same way, when this totally erroneous report came out, the support and the concern blew me away on Twitter and Facebook and phone calls and emails. So, it just reaffirmed for me how special this show is, how great our viewers are and I’m so grateful for all of that.” Hall then noted how “amazing” it is, the way rumors can spread like wildfire on the World Wide Web. “In this day and age, one thing, and people repeat it,” she said. Did anyone play telephone?!?” We don’t really care much about who anchors Today. We’re just glad something took America’s attention away from those Kim Kardashian nude photos for a short while. Carla Ferrigno, Terese Serignese: Two More Women Accuse Bill Cosby of Sexual Assault

Earlier this month, decades-old Bill Cosby rape allegations resurfaced when comedian Hannibal Buress referenced the dark chapter in Cosby’s past during his stand-up routine. In the weeks since, several more women have come forward with shocking charges against Cosby. First, a former actress named Joan Tarshis provided shocking details of an alleged encounter with Cosby in 1969. Later the same day, former supermodel Janice Dickinson accused Cosby of sexual assault , claiming the legendary comic drugged and raped her in 1982. Today, two more women have independently come forward with similar accusations against Cosby. A Florida woman named Terese Serignese, and Carla Ferrigno – the wife of actor Lou Ferrigno – both gave interviews within the last 24 hours in which they accused Cosby of assaulting them. Serignese says Cosby offered her free tickets and backstage passes to his comedy show in 1976. When she met up with him after the performance, he gave her two quaaludes, which she says she felt pressured to take. “My next memory is I felt high,” Serignese says. “I don’t remember what happened in the meantime…He didn’t have any clothes on, and obviously I didn’t either by that point. I don’t know how they got off.” Ferrigno says her encounter with Cosby occurred while she was still in her teens. Cosby allegedly invited her to his home, where he groped and attempted to kiss her while his wife was in a different room. Ferrigno says she was able to fight him off and run from the house. Cosby has yet to respond to any of the charges. He refused to answer rape allegation questions during a recent NPR interview and simply went silent when the topic came up. He recently  mocked the Kim Kardashian Paper cover and he also made like Kim Kardashian for a recent issue of Details , flaunting his muscular physique. This week, meanwhile, the singer admitted to Wendy Williams that girlfriend Olivia Culpo has seen this hot body up close and VERY personal… if you know what Nick means: he’s no longer a virgin! According to a recent Kim Kardashian interview , Kris Jenner knew nothing about the star’s naked Paper pictorial until it hit the Internet. According to the latest issue of Star Magazine, however, Kim Kardashian is a total liar. The cover story screams that Kris has DESTROYED HER FAMILY in a number of ways. For instance, anonymous sources (that we’re certain are totally real!) allege that Kris forced Kim Kardashian to pose naked in paper . Among the other ways Jenner has supposedly torn her famous family into a million little pieces? She often gets wasted with Scott Disick. She pushed Kylie Jenner to go under the knife and get some plastic surgery. She sometimes refers to Khloe Kardashian as “the fat one.” She turned Bruce Jenner into a woman. Wait… what?!? Really, that’s what the cover states. We’re not exactly the biggest Kris Jenner fans in the history of the world, but we somehow doubt she’s done all of these things. We mean, come on. Don Lemon sat across from  Joan Tarshis for an exclusive interview on CNN last night, asking Tarshis many questions about her past with Bill Cosby. After opening up to Lemon about how Cosby allegedly raped her twice in 1969 and about how she staved off his advances for intercourse by lying about a vaginal infection, Tarshis said she was forced to perform oral sex on the famous comedian. But this prompted Lemon to ask an unusual, wildly inappropriate question in response: Can one really be forced to perform oral sex? Why didn’t Tarshis just bite down on Cosby’s penis out of protest? The actor has canceled an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman amidst this controversy, while Netflix has postponed the launch of a Bill Cosby stand-up special (initially planned for November 28) in light of the allegations. Model Janice Dickinson, meanwhile, claimed yesterday that she was also victimized by Cosby following a business meeting in 1982. Dickinson says Cosby drugged and raped her in Lake Tahoe, becoming the 15th woman to make these sort of accusations against the actor. “Janice’s story accusing Bill Cosby of rape is a complete lie,” says attorney Marty Singer in a statement, referencing the model’s autobiography and adding that it simply said Cosby “blew her off” after Dickinson refused to sleep with him. “You can confirm with HarperCollins that she never claimed Mr. Cosby raped her, that no attorney representing Bill Cosby tried to kill the story (since there was no such story) and no one tried to prevent anything she wanted to say about Bill Cosby in her book.” The main takeaway from this specific story, however, is that Don Lemon ought to be fired immediately. Naya Rivera on Kim Kardashian Diss: Miley Cyrus Was Hatin’ Too!

Last week, Kim Kardashian’s naked butt set the world on fire, because apparently everyone forgot about the 5,000 times we’ve seen it before. While the response to Kim’s moist-looking Paper magazine pictorial was mostly positive, some celebs were openly critical. The first to talk trash was Glee star Naya Rivera, who slammed Kim’s Paper cover on the basis that she’s a mom, and…moms should never be naked, or something.  Rivera spoke out on the Kim diss in lame fashion a couple days later, but other than that, she remained mum on the topic. Until earlier today, that is, when Naya somehow managed to cram her foot further into her mouth by snitching on a fellow starlet: Asked about her anti-Kim comments while appearing on The View this morning, Naya replied, “People really cared a lot, so I just want to point out  – Miley Cyrus was fun-poking too. I started to think I was the only one who said anything.” It’s true that Miley’s been trolling Kim with Photoshopped Instagram pics like these: But that’s hardly the same thing as flat-out calling someone a bad mom because they mooned the world. Something tells us Miley’s just not the slut-shaming type. So yeah, Naya took a bad situation of her own creation and made it worse by trying to throw Miley under the bus.
