If you needed further proof that’s a pretty effed-world we live in, look no further: According to TMZ the Love Ranch brothel where Lamar Odom nearly died from an overdose last week is experiencing a major surge in business thanks to all the free press. The weirdest part? Customers are shelling out big bucks to see the room where Odom was found unconscious and covered in blood. Guests who already staying and spending money at the Ranch can drop an extra $500 for a glance at the VIP suite where Odom nearly lost his life. Even weirder, many Love Ranch are paying top dollar to sleep in the room and there’s a one-month waiting to list to stay in “the Lamar suite. Prior to Odom’s near death experience, the Ranch attracted about 20 men today. Owner Dennis Hof says that in the past week that number has more than tripled. Many have been critical about the way Hof seems to milking the incident for free publicity. Hof bragged about telling the Kardashians to “go to hell” during an appearance on Nancy Grace’s talk show. In response, reps for Khloe politely asked Hof to shut the hell up , but it looks like the brothel owner and former star of the HBO reality series Cat House, plans to go right on cashing in on this tragedy. Over the past several days, we’ve heard from nearly every member of the Kardashian-Jenner family in regard to the tragic Lamar Odom situation. Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian have all issued statements on social media in support of their troubled loved one. Khloe, who is technically still married to Lamar, flew immediately to her estranged husband’s hospital bedside in Las Vegas as soon as she learned he had fallen into a coma. She remained there all of last week and is expected to continue to support Odom now that he’s been transported to Los Angeles . “The past week has been incredibly difficult,” Khloe wrote this morning on her official website. “I am so thankful to family, friends, and fans, who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar. I also want to take a moment to thank everyone at Sunrise Hospital, including the amazing doctors and nurses for their kindness and diligent work. “Under their amazing care, incredible strides have been made.” Just a few days ago, Odom’s odds of survival were placed at a mere 50%. He may still need a kidney transplant and there’s a long road to recovery ahead. But at least there are reasons to be cautiously optimistic. “You can never be prepared for an experience like this, but without the outpouring of love and endless prayers that Lamar has received and the strength I was given from my loved ones, it would have been difficult to endure,” Khloe added, concluding: “Thank you for your continued support. God is great!!!” These words mark the first time the 31-year old reality star has spoken in public since Odom was found unconscious on October 13 inside a VIP suite at the Love Ranch South brothel in Pahrump, Nevada. James Harden Supportive Of Khloe Kardashian Visiting Lamar Odom In Hospital During His Recovery In the midst of all the hoopla surrounding Lamar Odom ‘s health and the support he’s received from Khloe Kardashian and the klan, one subject that hasn’t really been broached is the fact that Khloe is currently dating one of Lamar’s peers, Houston Rockets’ guard James Harden. One might think that James is in a bit of an awkward position in that his girlfriend has just dropped everything in her life to see about her soon-to-be ex-husband who she recently accused of stalking her . But according to PEOPLE magazine, James isn’t even trippin’. Not one bit. “He is so nice and being as supportive as humanly possible given the situation,” a source close to the Kardashians tells PEOPLE. “Lamar essentially has zero consistent family other than the Kardashians, and James understands that. The last thing he would want to do would be to add more stress to her plate.” Another source also vouches for James’ upstanding character while his girlfriend comforts her estranged husband: “He never had any intention of going to Vegas. He supports her of course, but understands she needs space and to be with Lamar,” another source tells PEOPLE. This is a picture of Lamar Odom’s surveillance footage from the Bunny Ranch brothel that I guess records everything, even when you are paying to play there…because dudes who run Brothels like filming all their clients fuck, for extortion reasons and/or security for the girls…who they don’t actually care about, they are their pimps…pimps never care about their whores.. Love Ranch Owner Rips Kardashians For Trying To Silence Him If anyone is going to tell Love Rancho owner Dennis Hof to knock off the attention-sloring interviews with the media about Lamar Odom , it damn sure isn’t going to be the Kardashian family. According to PageSix , the Kardashian machine is trying everything in their power to keep Hof off the TV and the radio. Many in P.R. find the notion to be ludicrous: “For the Kardashians to lecture anyone about showing restraint in the media is really hilarious,” said Hollywood publicist Michael Levine “They’re arguing for restraint in the media? That’s outrageous,” he said. The K’s obviously feel otherwise: A Kardashian rep said in a statement Thursday that the family asked Love Ranch owner Dennis Hof to stop his ceaseless media interviews about the former hoop star’s time at the brothel. “We reached out to Dennis politely asking him to respect Lamar’s — and Khloe’s — privacy during this difficult time and refrain from talking to the press,” the statement said. “The idea that anyone would use it to seek publicity is really sad.” And Dennis promptly responded: “I got a call from their publicist today, saying. ‘Are you going to do any media?’ ” Hof told HLN talk-show host Nancy Grace. “And I said, ‘Yes, I’m going to go on the “Nancy Grace” show.’ And she [the Kardashian publicist] said, ‘Please don’t do that. We’d rather have Khloe say what needs to be said.’ I told her to go to hell.” We get that the Kardashian’s haven’t exactly been pillars of privacy, but the thing is, people shouldn’t feel inclined to be respectful on behalf of them, they should be respecting Lamar Odom.

Man. The Kardashians sure do a number on dudes. Just ask this group, whose lives – for one reason or another – were never the same after the Kardashian and Jenner women finished with them. Kanye can probably handle it. The rest of them? 1. Lamar Odom Was Lamar Odom’s downward spiral triggered in part by his uneasiness with fame? And how his life continued to play out in the tabloids and on the E! show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, even after he and Khloe split up? We may never know for sure, but as he battles for his life and his prognosis looks ever more grim, the Kardashians’ role in this sad saga is sure to be hotly debated and heavily scrutinized. 2. Scott Disick Now in rehab for at least the sixth time, Scott Disick has been a party animal for years and can’t avoid his share of the blame for his own choices in life. Who cheats on the mother of their children and chooses alcohol over one’s kids? Still, his issues with the spotlight undoubtedly led to many of the demons he’s struggled with, and eventually caused him to snap. 3. Kris Humphries Remember Kim Kardashian’s second husband Kris Humphries? The one she was married to for 72 whole days? Yeah, his NBA career flamed out almost as quickly as their marriage. Having been involved in the conversation for most improved player in pro basketball, he soon became involved in one of the most ridiculous celebrity breakups of all time … then faded into obscurity where he belongs. 4. Brody Jenner Brody Jenner’s life is pretty damn amazing, and he’ll tell you as much, but at the same time, he’s been anti-Kardashian long before it was cool. Brody maintains a close relationship with father Caitlyn, as well as his biological half sisters Kendall and Kylie. But he’s publicly feuded with Kim, openly dislikes former stepmom Kris, and for the love of Pete, he’s had to LIVE with all of these people! 5. Ray J The man, the myth, the amateur porn who Hit It First has made a lot of money off of his X-rated rail-a-thon, and yet it probably hampered whatever chance he had of becoming a legitimate star in his own right. Ah, the duality of riding Kim Kardashian from behind while filming it. A paradox, if you will. 6. Rob Kardashian As the only son in a house with five sisters, the deck was stacked against Rob Kardashian from the start. He tried and failed at making socks. He was funny on Keeping Up. He went on Dancing with the Stars. Things were going okay for awhile, as he became inseparable from Khloe and her husband, Lamar Odom. But after those two split up, he went off the rails, bailed on Kim’s wedding, put on a TON of weight, started shading his family on social media, and generally turning into a recluse. Sad. Lamar Odom was never supposed to amount to anything. Lamar Odom’s father was a crackhead. His mother died of colon cancer when he was 12. He was bounced around from high school to high school before getting a basketball scholarship that he eventually lost during his freshman year. Even in the NBA, he failed drug tests and had his career stymied by the fact he was drafted by the Clippers. His son died at six-and-a-half months while the family was at an aunt’s funeral, then he was robbed a gun point. Lamar Odom should not have succeeded. He should have been a guy who had a cup of coffee in the league before losing it all. But Odom overcame the odds and became a key component to a two-time NBA championship team. At one point, he was a top-tier all-around basketball player, former sixth-man of the year and a FIBA gold medalist. Lamar Odom’s career and life up until a few years ago was a story about perseverance and surviving when society gave him no incentive to flourish. Then things fell apart. I don’t know if Lamar Odom battled demons from his past, caved under the weight of reality TV and his relationship to “America’s First Family” *insert wanking motion* or a combination of factors we don’t even know about. But somewhere along the line, addiction, depression and erratic behavior took over. He was dismissed from NBA teams and eventually exiled from the NBA – his life in shambles before our eyes. Lamar Odom was allegedly found unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel last night and is in dire straits as we speak. I know this because I saw an article on Twitter with the headline that said “Khloe Kardashian’s Ex-Husband, Lamar Odom, Is Fighting For His Life.” Beyond the tragedy of Lamar Odom’s current situation rests the fact that Kardashian worship has relegated him to an accessory. A big, Black purse or set of heels whose tragedy is only seen through the lens of their narrative. Lamar Odom isn’t a former basketball player, survivor and all-around great guy according to every one of his peer’s accounts. He’s a Kardashian storyline – literally – as it’s been reported that the Kardashians are at his hospital with a camera crew at their side. Whether true or not, the fact that story is believable tells us enough about the Kardashians. But more importantly, this is where disregard for Black Lives intersects with worshipping a family that’s done nothing to deserve it. Cosmopolitan called the Kardashian’s America’s First Family despite the fact there’s an actual First Family that’s successful and worth looking up to. The Kardashians have been erasers and poachers of Blackness since their inception into mainstream America. They’ve co-opted Black shapes and are somehow the standard for physical beauty. They’ve co-opted the hairstyles. They’ve married and had relationships with any number of Black men they can find in order to accentuate their brand. And now, they’re using an entire Black Life to further their story – even if it means diminishing the value of that life to nothing more than a chapter in Khloe Kardashian’s story. If they did bring cameras to Lamar Odom’s possible death bed and if they do go forward with using these episodes for TV, that should be the end of anyone pretending like they have any worth to society. But this isn’t about the Kardashians. This story is about Lamar Odom. A man who became a millionaire despite America’s disregard for his family. A man who became great when every statistic would indicate that he was destined to be a failure. So when I pray, I’ll be praying for Lamar Odom. When Kourtney Kardashian dumped Scott Disick we assumed that we in time, the Douche Lord would disappear from the reality TV landscape, and eventually all memory of his raging alcoholism and impeccably coiffed hair would fade. Sure, Scott figured prominently in the most recent episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians , but we didn’t have to see his face, which was a wonderful change of pace. But like vampires and cockroaches, Douche Lords are hard to kill, and Radar Online is reporting that a Scott Disick reality show might soon be, well…a reality. A source tells the website that Scott has already pitched a KUWTK spinoff that would focus on “his life as a single dad, raising Kourtney’s kids part-time.” Scott’s not exactly a fan favorite at the moment, but keeping him board at the network might be E!’s best option. “Since he is already under contract with the show, if they are going to phase him out it has to be done in a way that fits into the existing contracts,” the insider explains. Best of all, Scott might be willing to work very cheap. With virtually no real world job experience, he’d likely find it tough to find employment that would allow him to maintain his current lifestyle (even with spousal support from Kourtney ), and sources say Disick has done nothing to curb his spending in recent months. “Scott is frantic right now to save his contract because he is blowing through money and is terrified of being poor,” says the insider.
