Happy Anniversary, Prince William & Kate Middleton!

The world’s most famous newlyweds are no longer newlyweds. It’s hard to believe that a whole year has passed since Prince William and Kate Middleton became Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at London’s Westminster Abbey. The royal wedding was a spectacle unlike any other, and not simply because William is royalty: It’s a celebrity news story that isn’t the slightest bit negative! Nary a harsh word is ever said about the couple, who the whole world is rooting for to succeed (while speculating over Kate’s future pregnancy) 24/7/365. Royal Wedding Kiss and Highlights A year after they declared their love for each other in front of an estimated two billion (!) viewers, they’re keeping their first wedding anniversary private. The Duke and Duchess were to spend part of the weekend with friends in London, then return to their home in Anglesey, on the Welsh coast, by Sunday. So here’s to William and Kate! Will Prince William and Kate Middleton Reenact "The Kiss"?

Prince William and Kate Middleton, now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are headed back to the balcony that saw the kiss seen ’round the world. When they stepped out onto the balcony of Buckingham Palace last April 29 as husband and wife and kissed for the first time, it was a magic moment. Soon, the royals are set to return to that location in honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee anniversary marking her 60-year reign, on June 5. Royal Wedding Kiss and Highlights Prior, the family will attend a service at St Paul’s Cathedral followed by two receptions, a lunch at Westminster Hall and a carriage procession to Buckingham Palace. Somehow we doubt William and Kate will upstage his grandmother with another kiss, but the royal wedding was a day many in the UK will remember. Taking the moment up a notch, after the much-anticipated public display of affection, a Royal Air Force flyover took to the skies to seal the spectacle. The Queen at least deserves that.

Kate Middleton Honors Irish Guards on St. Patrick’s Day

Now that’s St. Patrick’s Day fashion done right. Kate Middleton continued run of recent royal festivities with her husband away on military duty in the Falkland Islands as she set out to Aldershot, England, to greet and charm the Irish guards on Saturday, March 17. Here’s one of our favorite Kate Middleton photos from the event: Clad in an emerald coat dress cinched at the waist, the lovely Kate accessorized with a brown cap, matching pumps, and a bloom of shamrocks on to her lapel. Kate Middleton also donned a clover pin that once belonged to The Queen Mother, Prince William’s great-grandmother, who passed away in 2002. After presenting soldiers with a basket of shamrocks (a tradition dating back to 1901), the 30-year-old got into the spirit with a sip of Harvey’s Bristol Creme sherry. Her outing also included adorning the Regimental mascot Conmeal (a black dog) with a shamrock on his collar. All in a day’s work for the Duchess! [Photo: WENN.com]

Kate Middleton Gets Her Field Hockey On

With Princes Harry (Brazil) and Prince William (the Falklands) otherwise occupied, it fell to Kate Middleton to help ramp up the excitement as the ambassador of the 2012 London Olympics during a private visit to the city’s Olympic Park. Did she ever. She worked out with Team Great Britain’s field hockey squad! Having played the sport herself (and even serving as her school’s captain), the ever-game Duchess wasted no time joining in with the ladies . So how’d she do? As with everything else, Kate Middleton proved herself to be a total natural. “I was really looking forward to coming here, but now I am here and have discovered I have to play,” she told the men’s and women’s teams beforehand. “I am not feeling confident. The last time I played was 2005, maybe. It feels like I haven’t held a stick for 10 years. This is going to be so embarrassing.” “My brain thinks I can do these things, but my body doesn’t play ball. Oh, please don’t tell me I have to do it in front of all these people!” she joked. Kate missed the first three of her goal attempts, but ultimately scored a goal – to rapturous applause from all players and observers, of course. Middleton swapped her blazer and heels for a gray Team GB sweatshirt, coral jeans and Adidas sneakers. She looks great in both ensembles, no? [Photos: WENN.com]

Based on U.S. income from tours, album sale and publishing royalties, Billboard has determined that the talented young crooner earned more money than any other musician in 2011. Just how much did Taylor bring in? A cool $35 million. The singer is currently on tour in Australia, meanwhile, looking to get a big, early start in 2012. Republican Presidential Race: Rick Santorum Cruises to Kansas Caucus Win

The protracted race for the GOP presidential nomination grew a bit tighter today as Rick Santorum won the Kansas caucuses by an overwhelming margin. With 97 percents of the precincts reporting in the Sunflower State, Santorum earned 51 percent of the vote, with Mitt Romney second with 21 percent. Newt Gingrich with 14 percent and Ron Paul with 12 percent to finish in third and fourth, respectively. Alabama and Mississippi hold primaries Tuesday. Santorum stands to gain a substantial number of Kansas’ 40 delegates, which he called crucial to competitive in the race for his party’s nomination. “We have to do well here in Kansas,” Santorum said this week in Lenexa, Kan., a suburb of Kansas City. “We have to win here in Kansas, and win big.” Romney and Gingrich largely skipped Kansas in favor of the states voting next week. Santorum and Paul had been the most active campaigners in Kansas. Romney began the weekend with 339 delegates, with 107 for Gingrich, 95 for Santorum, and 22 for Paul, according to the Republican National Committee. The RNC totals do not reflect any wins in states where delegates are not bound to the winning candidates, and also differ from various media estimates. Romney remains the odds-on favorite to win the GOP nod and face off with President Obama in the fall, but his opponents clearly aren’t going quietly. With 1,144 delegates needed to win the Republican nomination, it will take many more weeks for Mitt to reach that total, if he’s able to do so at all.

Solo Kate Middleton Holds Her Royal Own

Absence has made Kate Middleton ‘s heart grow fonder. With her husband off in the Falkland Islands on military duty, the Duchess of Cambridge confessed she has been “missing him terribly,” but is keeping busy. Among several successful solo engagements , Kate held her own for the first time as a member of the royal family, celebrating with Queen Elizabeth herself and the Duke of Edinburgh, as the family kicked off the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee tour. Kate isn’t entirely alone with William in the Falklands. She has also had special company to keep her from being lonely in recent days: her new puppy, Lupo . “I’ve got a dog keeping me occupied,” the Duchess told interfaith worker Riaz Ravat at a lunch in Leicester. “I’m getting a lot of me time with the dog!” Lupo, an adorable black cocker spaniel puppy that the pair adopted over the holidays, recently accompanied Kate on a walk through Kensington Gardens. Reese Witherspoon Reveals Crush on Kate Middleton

Reese Witherspoon has a new film out (follow this link for a This Means War movie review ), but another topic she discussed today was more interesting. The 35-year-old actress went on Ellen to promote the film, but went on to talk about meeting Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton last summer! “Somebody called me and said we’re having a really small fundraiser would you want to come over and meet the Prince and Princess? I was like, Yes.” It gets better. Check a clip of Reese’s interview with Ellen below: Reese Witherspoon on Ellen “I must have tried on like six outfits. I’m meeting a princess. You don’t understand … You have to be wearing the right outfit and the whole thing.” The Oscar winner continued: “I don’t know, maybe we can be friends. She was really nice. She was just lovely. She’s so composed. She seems like such a lady. I think it’s so nice nowadays to see someone with such composure who carries herself so beautifully. Call me. Call me anytime!” Sounds like someone’s smitten! Not that we can blame her. Reese was later presented a Mr. T Chia Pet by Ellen. No idea why, but that’s awesome.
