Kate Winslet is a mother for the third time. The multiple-time Oscar nominee welcomed a son into the world Saturday, the star’s rep confirms to People, saying the boy was born at an NHS hospital in Sussex County. “Mother and baby are doing great,” Winslet’s rep says. Winslet, 38, has two kids – Mia, 13, and Joe, 10 this month – from previous relationships and this is her first child with husband Ned Rocknroll, who she married a year ago. The actress, who will next be seen in Divergent , told Good Housekeeping many years ago that she adores being a mom. “I love the routine. I love getting up in the morning and getting breakfast and packing lunches and doing the school run. Those things are really important to me,” she said. “My kids are my whole world.”

The Oscar-winning actress, 37, and third husband Ned Rocknroll are expecting their first child together, her rep confirms to Us Weekly. As Us exclusively revealed, Winslet secretly wed fellow Brit Ned Rocknroll — the nephew of Virgin billionaire Richard Branson — in early December of last year after about a year of dating. (Winslet’s Titanic costar Leonardo DiCaprio walked her down the aisle.) The baby-to-be will join older siblings Mia Threapleton, 12, and Joe Mendes, 9, the star’s kids with ex-husbands Jim Threapleton and director Sam Mendes. “I’ve really learned a great deal about myself, in the last four years in particular,” the Mildred Pierce actress told Harper’s Bazaar UK earlier this year. (After her highly-publicized split from American Beauty director Mendes in 2010, she rebounded with model Louis Dowler later that year, and then stepped out with Rocknroll in summer 2011; the pair both survived a devastating fire on Sir Richard Branson’s private Necker Island.) “I think I can see more clearly now – about how the pattern of past experiences has shaped who I am, and the characters I have played – and I’m grateful for that.” Hopefully, the baby will grow up to be as talented as her mommy. You’ve probably heard by now that actress and noted possessor of ethereal beauty Kate Winslet went and married herself a new husband earlier this month. We have no idea if these two crazy kids can make it work, but here’s hoping they decide to have kids, because husband number 3 is walking around with the unlikely name of Ned Rocknroll . So who is this guy? Strangely, he isn’t a former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver or an L.A. Laker. As it turns out, if you heard the name ‘Ned Rocknroll’ and thought ‘eccentric millionaire,’ you’d be 100 percent right. Ned is Richard Branson’s nephew; he currently ekes out a living on what must surely be a pauper’s wage as the head of marketing promotion and something called ‘Astronaut Experience’ at Branson’s commercial spaceflight company, Branson Galactic. Mr. Rocknroll obviously wasn’t born into the Rocknroll family. Cursed at birth with the impossibly bland name of ‘Ned Abel Smith,’ he chose his much more memorable moniker, according to ex wife Eliza Pearson, because he thinks people take themselves too seriously. Practicing what he preaches, he legally changed his name to one that would ensure neither he, nor anyone else, would be able to do that to him again. Fun fact: it turns out that you can’t legally choose a single name as your official name, which is why he went with Ned Rocknroll instead of his first choice, just ‘Ned.’ Sorry, Morrissey! As far as crazy names go, Rocknroll doesn’t quite live up to the standard that Douglas Adams established with Wonko the Sane from So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish , but it’ll do in a pinch. And should he begin to be taken seriously again, we’d like to note that ‘Ochocinco’ is available again, thanks to Chad Johnson’s boring decision to revert to his birth name. Kate Winslet ‘s watermelons are hot, but they’re not hot enough to melt an iceberg, a lesson that was oh-so tragically learned in the 1997 blockbuster Titanic . But over a billion people worldwide were denied the opportunity to fully (and we do mean fully) learn this lesson: the SKINfamous scene where Kate poses for a nude portrait (above) was cut from the Indian release of Titanic. But now censors in India are doing the right thing by approving Titanic 3D , complete with nudity, for screenings in theaters all across the subcontinent. Social progress? Maybe. Great rack? Browsing through the photo record of Tuesday’s Titanic 3D premiere in London, one notices immediately the absence of Leonardo DiCaprio. What gives? I mean, if Billy Zane can make time, then lord knows Leo should be able to drop in for at least a few snapshots with James Cameron and co-star Kate Winslet. At the very least, he’d better have a good excuse — which, according to Cameron, he did. Speaking to reporters on the red carpet, the filmmaker/ deep-sea habitué explained that DiCaprio was busy shooting Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained , and thus unavailable to travel. But that wasn’t all: “I didn’t show him the whole film but I showed him 18 minutes of it a few months ago,” Cameron continued, “It was a good reunion for us but great to watch his reaction. He couldn’t believe it. He said to me, ‘I’m such a young punk. Look at me.’ He was practically crawling under the seat. It was a good moment.” I can only presume this was the same clip package Cameron showed Movieline , which wasn’t that bad. Winslet, meanwhile, said she would seek similar refuge — from her nude scenes in particular: “I’m not going to look. I’ll be in the bar by that point or on the floor. I haven’t seen the whole film in a very long time, I’ve seen little pieces of it, but it’s a whole different me and we look much younger and our acting was different, hopefully not as good as now.” Never let go, babe.
