Back in February, Caitlyn Jenner was involved in a car accident that claimed the life of 69-year-old Kim Howe, a neighbor of Jenner’s. As recently as last month, it was reported that Jenner could face jail time , as the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department had concluded in its investigation that Jenner’s criminal negligence may have played a role in Howe’s death. The case was then passed along to DA, who was to determine if Caitlyn would face charges. Fortunately for Jenner, TMZ is now reporting that the DA has decided Jenner is not to blame for Howe’s death , and will not be forced to stand trial. The DA’s office says that while Jenner may have been “driving inattentively,” she was not speeding, and she did apply her brakes – though not soon enough to prevent an accident. Though Jenner’s delayed response was undeniably the cause of the accident, zoning out while driving is not illegal, and witnesses say the 65-year-old was not texting or looking at her phone at the time of the accident. “A traffic accident, however devastating and heartbreaking when a life is lost, is not necessarily a criminal matter,” reads a statement from Jenner’s attorney, Blair Berk. That’s true, but hopefully, Caitlyn still learned something from all this and will start instructing her daughters not to take selfie videos while driving . In the video featured here, we learn about Leland Shoemake, a six-year old in Georgia who tragically died last Friday after a month-long battle with a brain infection. According to Leland's mom, she and her husband returned home soon after saying goodbye to their son, only to be blown away by what they found. “When Tim and I came home for the first time to get him clothes to be buried in, this is the note we found from him on the table in the living room,” she wrote. As you can see in this news report, the note reads “Still with you. Thank you mom and dad. Love.” “We have no idea when he wrote it but you can tell he was always a special child,” concluded Leland's mom. “We will love you forever Leland. Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite!” Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Shoemake family, but hopefully Mom and Dad can find some comfort in the knowledge that they raised an amazing child.
Kelly Clarkson has delivered some very sad news to a large number of fans. The original American Idol has canceled the remaining 2015 dates on her sold-out tour. In a statement on the artist’s website, Clarkson cited vocal rest as the reason behind this unfortunate change, noting that fans who bought tickets in Canada and the United Kingdom will be eligible for a full refund. “I am truly sorry that I have to cancel the remainder of my tour dates. I was so looking forward to sharing this tour with all my amazing fans in Canada and the UK,” Kelly wrote. “Unfortunately my doctor is telling me I have to stay on vocal rest, but I am working hard to get better as fast as possible.” Clarkson, who is pregnant with her second child , had previously canceled the final six dates on her U.S. tour for the same medical reason. “This kills me, but doctors are saying I need to rest my voice!” she wrote at that time, adding: “I can’t wait to get healthy and see y’all back on the road soon. “I hate canceling and I am truly sorry to my fans that have been excited to see this show. Yesterday, the world learned that Josh Duggar used Ashley Madison , the hacked adultery website, to help him cheat on his wife, Anna Duggar. It was the latest in a long line of scandalous revelations for Duggar, coming on the heels of news that he had molested four of his sisters . That was in 2002 and 2003, though. Horrific as it was, a long time has passed since then. These current revelations, however, are recent. In addition to Ashley Madison, it appears that 27-year-old father of four Josh was on OK Cupid trolling for chicks behind Anna’s back. Josh has issued a statement in which he basically admits as much, confessing his history of infidelity … and addiction to pornography. “I have been the biggest hypocrite ever,” the former lobbyist admits. “While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the Internet.” “This became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife.” “I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family.” “And, most of all, Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him. “I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old.” “Now I have re-broken their trust.” “The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country, I was hiding my own personal failings.” “I humbly ask for your forgiveness,” he concludes. “Please pray for my precious wife Anna and our family during this time.” Wow. She also paid homage to birthday girl Demi Lovato , who turned 23 years old today. “She’s always been so supportive and so cool,” said Clarkson of Lovato before breaking into a cover of Cool for the Summer and adding: “To see a kid that used to go to my shows have this huge career… she’s just killin' it.” She sure is. On Monday, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s funeral will be held near her home in Alpharetta, GA. The memorial service has already generated controversy due to the bizarre “sweet 16” theme chosen by Bobbi’s aunt Pat Houston. Members of both the Brown and Houston families believe the theme serves to make a sick mockery of the proceedings, and they’ve asked Pat to reconsider. She reportedly refuses to budge on the issue. Now, Houston’s handling of the arrangements is once again creating an uproar, and this time, it’s unlikely that Bobbi Kristina’s other relatives will back down. TMZ has obtained a copy of Bobbi Kristina’s funeral invitation , and in addition to strict instructions regarding arrival time and the ban on additional guests, the document asks attendees to make a charitable donation in lieu of sending flowers. The problem, according to certain members of the Brown family, is that the charity listed is run by Pat Houston, and many believe she’s using Krissi’s death as an opportunity to line her own pockets. Leading the push to get Pat to rescind her request for donations is Bobbi Kristina’s other aunt, Leolah Brown. Leolah has taken to bashing Pat in the press, telling TMZ that she is “not the sweet quiet person that she’s tried so hard to make people believe she is.” She’s also sent out an email to several people who have received the invitation, asking that they not donate “ONE RED CENT” to Pat Houston’s charity. Iconic wrestling personality “Rowdy” Roddy Piper has passed away at the age of 61. Piper – real name, Roderick George Toombs – reportedly passed away from natural causes at his home in Hollywood. Piper was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2006, but he reported that he was cancer-free in November of 2014. Even so, it’s possible that the toll taken by the disease or its treatments may have contributed to Piper’s premature passing. Kicking off his professional career with the American Wrestling Association in 1973, Piper quickly became a favorite villain among fans. As a result of Piper’s showmanship, what was supposed to be a brief stint in the ring turned into a career that would span five decades. He signed with the WWE as a “heel” character in 1983, but after a brief hiatus, fans were so overjoyed by Piper’s return that he quickly took on a hero role. Piper is remembered for his unique choice of attire (his kilt, bagpipe and leather jacket were often sported by fans as tribute), as well as for his natural charisma in the ring. Along with Dusty Rhodes ‘, Piper’s death marks the second major loss suffered by the wrestling world in the past two months. Last night on Marriage Boot Camp Season 3 Episode 9, the couples revealed traumatic events, with the goal of forgiving those who hurt them. You know what this means … rehashing the “fondling” scandal starring Kendra Wilkinson, Hank Baskett and Ava London for the 297th time! In July, having milked this for more than a year, Baskett finally admitted that he “messed up” and put himself “in a bad situation” at the time. The model fondled him over the shorts , or so Hank claims … there were no dueling hand jobs and climaxing together as Ava told the tabloids. He also said he only met her while trying to score some weed and ended up in her apartment by chance; Ava says he sought her out online. We’ll never know for sure the logistics of Hank Baskett and Ava London did, or didn’t do, but man has Kendra turned this into reality TV gold. It’s even continuing on Kendra on Top Season 4 (see below). On Marriage Boot Camp Season 3 Episode 9 , Hank engaged in a therapy exercise with one of the WE tv show’s marriage counselors, Jim Carroll. Carroll’s wife Elizabeth says the forgiveness exercise is designed to expunge “emotional trauma inflicted by a person or an event from your past.” “Hank wanted to address his childhood asthma, but he’s avoiding the much bigger obstacle in his marriage right now,” Elizabeth says. Ya think? Asthma, Hank? Really? Jim told the cameras that unless Baskett can forgive London, “who made his private life very public, his and Kendra’s relationship will not heal.” He touches Hank once again. “Put your hands on me. This is what you wanted, isn’t it?” he says. “We can have a good time together cause that’s what I’m going to tell everybody.” “You and me are a couple. I control you. You’re never going to be free of me. I got you all locked up … just like you were in our house.” “You couldn’t even move.” Awkward? Hilarious? Both? “No. I’m forgiving this. I forgive,” says Baskett, resisting the temptation. “I forgive you for this pain that you have put my family through.” “My kids … who have no idea what’s going on in the world, who have to see this one day.
