The Bachelor & The Bachelorette: 27 Most Stunning Exits Ever!

In the past 14 years, The Bachelor & Bachelorette have given us plenty of shockers, from emotional meltdowns to twists we never saw coming. Usually, these events result – or stem from – an elimination. Or a dramatic departure of one's own volition. Or someone being asked to leave by the show itself. Or just a really, really bad breakup. With the TV cameras rolling to document it all, obviously. Suddenly it's no surprise that this franchise has left such a mark on the genre, airing for more than THIRTY seasons, with no end in sight. The men, women and moments featured on this list made their way onto it for very diverse reasons. Often through no fault of their own. All provided images we won't soon forget, however … at least not 'til the next season airs and we have to update this list (see #27). Here's a look back at the most shocking exits in the nearly decade-and-a-half history of The Bachelor and  The Bachelorette  … 1. DeAnna Pappas AND Jenni Croft The one that started it all: Brad Womack rejected Jenni Croft on his season finale, and looked poised to propose to fan favorite DeAnna Pappas … who he ALSO rejected! 2. Jason Mesnick DeAnna Pappas became The Bachelorette, and threw fans for a loop by rejecting beloved single father Jason Mesnick, who was so smitten with her, in favor of Jesse Csincsak … who she stayed engaged to for like two weeks. 3. Melissa Rycroft Jason Mesnick upped the ante on both Brad and DeAnna in the finale night shocker department. After getting engaged to Melissa Rycroft on his season finale, he dumped her … on the After the Final Rose special, in favor of runner-up Molly Malaney! At least this one had a happy ending, though: Jason and Molly are happily married, and have a beautiful daughter. 4. Reid Rosenthal Reid Rosenthal bolted The Bachelorette of his own volution during the final three … then returned to propose to Jillian Harris on the finale after a change of heart … only by then she had already chosen Ed Swiderski to be her fiance. 5. Ed Swiderski Ed, too, left in the middle of that same season of The Bachelorette … only to return and WIN Jillian Harris’ final rose. His shady, cheating ways soon caught up with him, however, and the lovable Canadian decided to List It, Not Love It … see what we did there?! 6. Rozlyn Papa In Season 14, starring Jake Pavelka, Rozlyn Papa got the boot at a rose ceremony … after getting a rose! Say what? Yes, she allegedly had a fling with one of The Bachelor staff members. Selena Gomez: It’s Not the Size of Your Instagram That Counts!

What’s the difference between Selena Gomez and Kim Kardashian ? What about between Selena Gomez and Kendall Jenner ? The answer may be obvious, but Gomez has gone ahead and emphasized it with her response to her latest social media accomplishment. Earlier this week, the singer proved that her popularity is not connected to ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, shooting past Taylor Swift and becoming the most followed person on all of Instagram . If you’ll recall, Kardashian and Jenner celebrated various Instagram follower milestones of their own over the past year with semi-naked pictures because that’s pretty much how they garnered so many fans in the first place. But not Selena. She always keep her clothing on and, as evidenced by her reaction to this exciting news, she also keeps her head screwed on very straight. “Yo just know that I’m fully aware having the ‘most’ of anything isn’t what’s important,” Gomez Tweeted, adding by way of explanation: “It’s how you use your platform. [Not] how big it is.” How perfectly awesome of a response is that?!? Gomez has become the first celebrity to reach 70 million followers and she’s done it by remaining fully dressed at all times. What a crazy concept, right?!? Swift, Bieber, Kardashian and Beyonce are not very far behind, but we’re rooting for Selena to hold on to this distinction for as long as she can. We love her selfies. Khloe Kardashian: Unsuccessful Without Her Family’s Help?

More episodes of Kocktails with Khloe have been ordered, but the talent booker needs to step up his or her game. According to Radar Online , “ Khloe [Kardashian] and her bosses are not seeing eye-to-eye right now.”   Ratings are in the toilet, and the guest appearances haven’t been impressive.  Viewership is reportedly “less than half” of what it was back when the showed premiered in January. “Khloe wants to do this her own way and she is trying to avoid using any of her famous family members on the show,” a source told the publication. “She has made it clear she does not want to rely on them to get people to watch.” The problem is, the entire Keeping Up With The Kardashian clan is more or less the biggest reason why Khloe has her own show.  Ergo, to keep the gravy train rolling along, one must do what one has to do. The producers know this, and want Khloe to wake up, change her attitude and get someone – anyone (hell, bring Penelope in) “Executives have urged her to include at least one of her family members on every single episode. “The producers at the network really believe that people are tuning in to the show to see the off-script Kardashian drama carry over into Kocktails, but now, Khloe said that she does not need to have them on for this show to succeed,” the source added. “Everyone around her tends to disagree.” Just bring Kourtney in.  She and Khloe are a hoot when they’re together. Kylie Jenner Reminisces About Meeting Tyga…When She Was 14!!!

The relationship between Kylie Jenner and Tyga has always been a bit creepy. After all, Kylie and Tyga started dating she was just 17, and they kept their relationship under wraps for the better part of a year due to her age. But until yesterday, many of Kylie’s fans didn’t realize they actually met when she was much younger. 14-Year-Old Kylie Jenner Talks About Tyga Kylie Jenner Brings Tyga to the Stage Apparently, Kylie was spending afternoon watching herself slowly transform into Kim Kardashian in old episodes of her family;s reality shows (a favorite pastime, we’re sure), and she stumbled upon the above scene in which she first meets Tyga…when she was just 14. Thankfully, there was nothing romantic about their first encounter. Kylie simply had a hand in hiring Tyga to perform at Kendall’s birthday party, as he was her favorite rapper at the time. Yes, the really shocking thing about all of this is that Tyga was someone’s favorite rapper at one point. We doubt he still enjoys that status, as Kendall is reportedly one of the many who has begged Kylie to dump Tyga . So far, of course, Kylie isn’t listening to her family’s pleas. Maybe she shared the KUWTK scene on Snapchat in order to remind Kendall that she played a role in the founding of Kyga. Or maybe she still just doesn’t realize how creepy the relationship is.

Scott Disick has done a lot of sleazy things over the years (You don’t earn the nickname “Douche Lord” by being a standup guy), but nothing tops Scott’s years of mistreatment of Kourtney Kardashian . Now that they’re officially broken up (Scott’s attempts to win Kourtney back have been derailed by booze and the fact that he’s awful.), you might think that Disick would tone down the sleaze a bit, if only for the sake of his kids. As you may have noticed, Christine looks an awful lot like another 20-year-old up-and-coming model – Kendall Jenner. Considering Scott dated Kendall’s half-sister Kourtney for nine years and has stated on several occasions that Kendall is like a little sister to him, there’s a serious ick factor to the fact his new girl is basically Kendall’s dead ringer. Hey, on the bright side, we guess this means those rumors about  Disick dating the actual Kendall  aren’t true.

Chris Brown Stalker Gets Restraining Order Against Him Chris Brown’s alleged stalker has flipped the script on him. After driving onto his property uninvited last December and was subsequently arrested, she claims that Chris is now stalking her via social media, and issuing constant death threats… Via TMZ : Chris Brown has turned the tables on the woman who was arrested for trespassing at his house — because now he won’t stop threatening her on social media … according to her, anyway. Danielle Patti filed for a temporary restraining order against Chris, claiming he’s repeatedly harassed her on his social media platforms and said he’d like to see her dead. She also says they used to date. Patti is the same woman who … as we reported, was arrested in December when she allegedly drove onto Chris’ property and refused to leave. In the docs, filed by Patti herself, she tells it differently … claiming she was trying to leave, but couldn’t because someone parked a car in front of hers. She says Chris called the cops and she was arrested. She claims she was cleared of all charges. The judge granted the restraining order — meaning Chris must stay 100 yards away from Patti and have no contact with her — pending a hearing later this month. We’re guessing he’ll be cool with that. Riiiiiiight. Someone needs to speak to a therapist… Splash

Game of Thrones Cast Calls for Syrian Refugee Assistance

Winter may be coming. But various stars from Game of Thrones hope that a lot of help is coming as well. Stars of this HBO drama, from Lena Headley to Sophie Turner, have teamed with the International Rescue Committee to create an important Public Service Announcement. They have set a the goal of raising $1 million for the International Rescue Committee’s refugee relief program. With Game of Thrones Season 6 set to premiere on Sunday, April 24, this campaign will receive plenty of air time over the coming weeks. “It brings a fictional story of displacement and conflict to a real-life one and hopes viewers will be prompted to donate,” says Katherina Rosqueta, executive director of the Center for High Impact Philanthropy at the University of Pennsylvania. “And it’s bringing the cause to the audience, rather than the audience to the cause.” The PSAs, such the one posted below, will air exclusively online, where Game of Thrones, of course, has a loyal and devoted following. The most of any series currently on the air, it's safe to say. Kylie Jenner Shares Anti-Vaccine Views, Flaunts Swimsuit Body

As with the rest of her family, when it comes to Kylie Jenner, you just have to take the good with the bad. The good, in this case, is a welcome reminder that Kylie looks good in a swimsuit . The bad is that she’s apparently one of those nut jobs who doesn’t think you should vaccinate your kids.  Take a moment to enjoy the sight of Kylie’s truck mud flap-worthy profile, before we dive into the crazy stuff. Ironically, that tiny tattoo on her thigh says “Sanity.” Anyway, take a deep breath because we’re about to dive deep into some serious ignorance. Yes, Kylie tweeted and quickly deleted the above meme last night.  We assume the reason it wasn’t live for very long is that someone informed Kylie it’s really dumb. Sure, we should try to assist Third World countries with food, shelter and clean water, but preventing the spread of deadly diseases is right up there on the list of important stuff, too. We’re not saying  Kylie’s bikini selfies  are the only reason to go to her social media pages, but if you’re following her for medical advice or information about global humanitarian crises, you might want to rethink some things. Christine Brown: Sister Wives Star "Miserable" With Kody, Polygamy!!!

Polygamy isn’t for everyone. Just ask Sister Wives’ Christine Brown’s aunt, Kristyn Decker. Decker defected from the Latter Day Saints polygamous sect, Apostolic United Brethren, which the Browns – Kody, Christine, Meri, Janelle and Robyn – happen to belong to.  According to Radar Online , Decker’s father, Owen Allred was once the leader of the sect. Decker told Radar recently that she doesn’t “believe” Christine is happy , and it’s showing. “I call it ‘miserable happiness.’ That truly describes those that were in polygamist marriages and those that left,” Decker said. “I think they are just miserable and the show started showing it.” From watching the TLC series, Decker notices a “lack of connection between the women. “They don’t know where to stand when they’re talking about their relationship with the other women. They don’t get the quality time they want with their husband. Neither do the children. The spousal connection isn’t there.” I’m no expert on the subject, but I can’t imagine polygamy makes it easy for a husband and wife to connect when there are at least two other women involved. “They are happy because they believe they are serving God or their God. But it is miserable happiness,” Decker went on. “I think the Browns are precious people. They are just misled like I was. “They were born and raised with it. They are not representing the majority of polygamy.” Decker didn’t elaborate on that last quote, which begs the question “What exactly does the majority of polygamy look like?’ Last year, Meri was caught up in a catfish hoax ; she got involved in an online relationship with a woman from Oklahoma who pretended to be a man. Kendall Jenner: Who is She Dating?!?

Kendall Jenner may often pose nearly naked for all the world to see on Instagram. But one very reliable source says this 20-year old model gets all the way naked for a certain someone. For whom?!? That’s the question, folks! During an interview with the United Kingdom radio station Capital FM (which airs Monday night), Gomez came right out and said that Taylor Swift has a boyfriend. Which we knew, of course. He’s a famous DJ named Calvin Harris and he’s very handsome. But Gomez also confirmed that both Jenner and Gigi Hadid are spoken for, telling host Roman Kemp: “Taylor is not single, Gigi is not single, neither is Kendall. I am the only single one!” Hmmm…. interesting. Jenner was most recently linked to Harry Styles, having spent New Year’s with the British artist in the Caribbean; shortly afterward, sister Khloé Kardashian revealed that Jenner and Styles were “dating.” The model and the singer have not been photographed together since, however, while Jenner has been busy traveling for Fashion Week jobs. All has remained mostly quiet in Kendall’s love life since, although a seemingly hilarious rumor cropped up last week that alleged Kendall could be dating Chris Brown . Might that not be so funny after all? Might Jenner actually be knocking proverbial boots with the star who knocked Rihanna around a few years ago? Gomez did not elaborate. So we can only take some wild guesses here at The Hollywood Gossip. And we can only pray, for Kendall’s sake, that Brown is not her mystery boyfriend. That guy sucks!!!
