Kelly Clarkson Gets ‘Feisty’ In ‘Mr. Know It All’ Video

Singer calls a glammed-up scene in a massive gown ‘one of my favorite shots in the video.’ By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Matt Elias Kelly Clarkson in her “Mr. Know It All” video Photo: Sony Music Entertainment Kelly Clarkson shows off her many sides — sexy, glam, fun and playful, to name a few — in the brand-new, Justin Francis-directed music video for “Mr. Know It All.” The video, which dropped Monday (September 26), is a mixture of sleek performance footage and glamour shots, which play up the many personality traits of the Stronger singer. The clip even features a little something called “the Wall of Doubt,” which uses real, occasionally negative headlines that have been printed about the singer. But her favorite scene, as she told MTV News, is one where she looks super glammed up in a massive gown. “There’s different sides of me, and that whole outfit was more for all the freeing aspect,” she explained. “Like, there’s all these different sides of you, and that was the free-spirit side of me. That’s one of my favorite shots in the video. It keeps coming back to my hair everywhere.” However, the girl in that shot doesn’t tell Clarkson’s full story. “I think there’s that free-spirit side of me, and then there’s that feisty performer in me,” she continued. “Then there’s the funny side of me. I mean, obviously you have to be funny to have a big giant wall of doubt with actual headlines of your life on the wall. It’s a little fun, a little feisty.” The lead single from her October release, Stronger, was a late addition. “It was actually the last song we recorded, and we had already finished it up,” she said of “Mr. Know It All.” “That song came out of nowhere. And luckily it did, because everybody fell in love with it. “I think why I was attracted to it was, first of all, every girl has probably dated that guy, and also just in work life, I’ve known a lot of those people — especially in this industry,” she continued. “And people that try and pigeonhole you. I think I was just attracted to that idea of being a little sassy and feisty with that message.” The track was written by Brett James (Carrie Underwood), Ester Dean (Beyonc

Lady Gaga ‘Already Working’ On Born This Way Follow-Up

Singer’s manager hopes Gaga will release next LP for free. By James Montgomery Lady Gaga Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage This may not come as a shock to anyone who’s marveled at her multitasking ways, but just four months after the release of her Born This Way album , says she’s already working on the follow-up, which she says will be released “sooner rather than later.” That’s what she told Ryan Seacrest just before the iHeartRadio festival in Las Vegas, adding that the new disc is just one of many projects she’s juggling at the moment. “I’m actually already working on my next album,” she said. “So I’ve been working on that. I’ve been planning the next tour, which keeps me very excited and busy because I have lots of new ideas, and I know exactly how I want it to look. I’m also planning my next music video. I have lots of things to do, but in truth, I feel like I’m the most alive when I’m onstage.” And while there’s still no release date (or any concrete information) on Gaga’s next album, her manager, Troy Carter, recently suggested that, if he has his way, Gaga might give the record away for free. Check out photos of Lady Gaga and others at the iHeartRadio festival. “If it was up to me, I’d give away the next album and put it on every handset that I can put it on,” Carter said last week at the f8 conference in San Francisco. “You can’t be scared to fail. Sometimes we’re going to get big results, and sometimes you learn a lesson, make an adjustment and move on.” Gaga made waves back in May with the multitude of methods she promoted Born This Way, including a much-discussed 99-cent pricing scheme with Amazon.com, which temporarily crashed the site. A spokesperson for Gaga’s label could not be reached for comment by MTV News about the new album. Related Artists Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga Feels She’s Been ‘Probed Endlessly’ About Who She Is

‘Judas’ singer goes on curse-filled rant in new issue of NME. By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage Lady Gaga is on the defense these days. Fans aren’t sure how they feel about her Born This Way cover art , and in the new issue of British music magazine NME , the singer felt the need to let the world know that she’s not some gimmick and her shtick is the real deal, protruding face bones and all. “Let me tell you something. If you f—ing rip my hairbow and my wig off my f—ing head, my shoes, my bra, every single thing on my body, and you throw me on a piano with a microphone, I will f—ing make you cry,” she proclaims in the magazine, which hits newsstands on Tuesday (April 19). On the cover , Gaga appears in a see-through body suit, with zippers over her lady parts, wearing heavy eye makeup, her now signature “BTW” prosthetics and a wig she wore in the “BTW” video. “I feel I have been probed endlessly about who the f— I am,” she continues. “I have been quite open about it. And still nobody seems to have a clue.” Gaga recently unveiled her second single, ” Judas ,” off her May 23 album release. Parts of the song may pay homage to some of her past hits, but it is certainly not the type of pop song that Katy Perry or Britney Spears would record. “I’m not going to start churning out what you expect,” she said. “If you want me to be a manufactured act, you can f— off.” The star also defended her prosthetics recently in Harper’s Bazaar . “Well, first of all, they’re not prosthetics. They’re my bones,” she said in the issue. “They’ve always been inside of me, but I have been waiting for the right time to reveal to the universe who I truly am. They come out when I’m inspired.” She mirrored that sentiment on her Twitter page on Tuesday, writing, ” Born This Way is who I am. An artist in a constant state of half-fantasy/half-reality at all times.” Related Photos The Evolution Of: Lady Gaga Related Artists Lady Gaga

30STM score Moonman for ‘Kings and Queens,’ beating out Florence and the Machine and Paramore. By James Dinh 30 Seconds to Mars at the 2010 VMAs Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage The presenters of the Best Rock Video may not have known what it’s like to be rockers, but they sure met a few when they awarded 30 Seconds to Mars with their win at the 2010 Video Music Awards . The California band’s video for “Kings and Queens” earned them their first Moonman of the night, beating out Florence and the Machine, MGMT, Muse and Paramore. “Thank you. This is amazing. This award really doesn’t so much belong to us. It belongs to the most amazing family of friends and fans around the world that we could’ve have ever imagined,” frontman Jared Leto said while accepting the award. “We’re happy to accept it on their behalf. Thank you to MTV. Thank you to our label, to our management company. We’re really proud to be here, proud to share it with all the other artists. It’s been an amazing adventure, so thank you,” they continued. Immediately after walking offstage, the band posed for a photo with “Jackass” star Chris Pontius … who was trying to fit his penis into a mouse costume. Then, they told MTV News how it felt to win. “I am so grateful … I truly didn’t think we would get it,” Jared Leto beamed. “When I heard Paramore’s name, I thought we wouldn’t get it for sure,” guitarist Tomo Milicevic added. “Honestly,” Leto continued, “right now I feel so humble and so grateful.” Their Bartholomew Cubbins-directed clip features a legion of bikers making their way through the streets of Los Angeles at night. In addition to their Best Rock Video win, the group is also nominated for Best Art Direction, Best Direction and the night’s coveted Video of the Year award . The band previously snagged the MTV2 Award for their video “The Kill” in 2006. 30 Seconds to Mars arrived to this year’s ceremony like no other, riding up on bikes in a fashion similar to their “Kings and Queens” video. Lady Gaga Working On ‘Crazy’ New Tracks, Akon Says

‘Kon says he’s joining his artist in Europe to record songs for her next album. By Jocelyn Vena Akon and Lady Gaga Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage While Lady Gaga has been touring across the globe and gearing up to shoot a video for her single “Alejandro,” she’s also found time to record tracks for her next album. Her label boss, Akon , has already heard some of the Fame Monster follow-up, and he says it is out of this world. “She records while she’s on the road,” Akon told Vibe.com . “I’m flying out to Europe to work on some new records with her. Gaga’s just like me. She has a tour bus with a studio in it. Some of the songs I’ve heard are going to be crazy. She’s getting bigger and better.” Although a release date, title and other details have yet to be revealed, Akon knows that she’s working hard and doesn’t need much advice from him. “All I’m doing at the end of the day is listening to the tracks Gaga has written and approving them for her album. She has producers that she works with outside of myself and they are coming up with some incredible records,” he explained. “But the beauty of it is she knows exactly what she wants. So it just makes it easier for me.” Frequent Gaga collaborator RedOne told MTV News that he and the singer still have a lot of tricks up their sleeves. “That I don’t want to say, because you always want to shock people,” he said. “And you don’t want to let people know, so that when they hear it, [they go], ‘Oh my God.’ ” And after winning a pair of Grammys with Gaga this year, RedOne promised more successes to come. “We’re just gonna rock again,” he said. “When me and Gaga get together, it’s crazy. It’s unbelievable.” What do you hope Gaga will do on her next album? Tell us in the comments! Related Photos The Evolution Of: Lady Gaga Related Artists Lady Gaga Akon
