Although she hasn’t officially decided on it, actress and avid Democrat Ashley Judd isn’t ruling out a run for U.S. Senate in her native Kentucky. Judd lives in Tennessee and would have to re-establish residence in neighboring Kentucky before challenging Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell. The 44-year-old says she’s honored to be mentioned as a potential candidate, but sidestepped the question of whether she would actually run in 2014 . “I cherish Kentucky, heart and soul,” she said. “While I’m very honored by the consideration, we have just finished an election, so let’s focus on coming together to keep moving America’s families, and especially our kids, forward.” No Democrats have stepped forward to challenge Republican McConnell, a political powerhouse who already has $6.8 million in the bank for his re-election. In 2008, he won re-election to a fifth term and became Kentucky’s longest serving senator. McConnell spent some $20 million on his last campaign, beating Democrat Bruce Lunsford, a wealthy Kentucky businessman, by 6 percentage points. His campaign manager Jesse Benton, withheld any criticism of Judd – at least for now. “Sen. McConnell and his wife are big fans of Ashley Judd’s movies and appreciate her energy, especially when it comes to bringing young people into the political process,” he said. What do you think? So I don’t know about you, but I didn’t know TV Guide was even still around. Probably because I’m not 90-years-old and figured out how to find TV listings on the Internet a decade ago. But hey, the magazine decided to do a photoshoot with my new favorite cutie, Nina Dobrev , so they’ve obviously got good taste. If they want to get the kids back into TV Guide though, this just isn’t going to cut it. Luckily, I’ve got a few ideas to kick this photoshoot up a notch: add a couple of Nina’s hot friends, bikinis, and jello wrestling. No need to thank me, just make it happen. Ohio Woman Breaks Into House, Cleans And Leaves Bill Behind An Ohio woman who suddenly got the urge to clean someone else’s home uninvited was recently charged with attempted burglary. The woman broke into the home, cleaned it and then left a bill behind for the family. via ABC News A family in Westlake, Ohio, was not delighted when a “cleaning fairy” came into their home uninvited, did some chores and left a $75 bill behind on a napkin. The Chronicle-Telegram said that Susan Warren, 53, drove by the home last May 22 and “wanted something to do.” She entered the home in the early morning hours, washed coffee cups, took out the trash, vacuumed and dusted, all while the homeowners’ 19-year old daughter slept upstairs, according to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office. Last week, Warren pleaded guilty to one count of attempted burglary in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. Her sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 26. Neither Warren nor her attorney could be reached for comment. “She left a note for the homeowner on a napkin, stating that she had cleaned the residence and left a bill for $75,” Maria Russo, a spokeswoman for the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, said in a statement. Warren, of Elyria, Ohio, left her name, address and phone number on the napkin. Nothing was stolen from the house, the Prosecutor’s Office said. Uhhhhhhhh…. Chris Brown Covers Prestige Magazine Chris Breezy recently sat down with the folks at Prestige Magazine to speak on his love of art and his Symphonic Love Foundation. Here is some of what he had to say: Via Presitge Hong Kong What do you want the world to know about who you are and what you stand for? As a 23-year-old young entertainer, I want the world to see my art and hopefully be inspired by it, promote positivity with what I do now – with painting, with fashion, with directing, with creativity as far as videos and cinema. I want to have people admire that and hopefully have people follow in my footsteps. What are you having the most fun at right now? Honestly, my day-to-day life is the most fun right now because I get a chance to not focus on “the artist” Chris Brown. Going through the regular things, like going to the grocery store. I’m also running a label right now, so I have different artists, four or five different acts, shooting videos that I’m directing and coming together. Tell me about your painting. I’ve been painting secretly since I was a kid. A lot of people didn’t know that it was my hobby. I focused on doing the bad stuff at first with graffiti and vandalising as a kid. But as you get older, you start studying art books and sketchbooks in the libraries. I started getting better, like maybe three or four years ago. I met Ron English and Kid Zoom [Ian Strange] and they were just teaching me different techniques for painting. So my art started growing and I started doing it on my own. I finally got people to recognise it and I did a couple of art galleries – one in LA and one in New York – and I sold four out of my seven paintings. You know, I’m new. But my feet are in the water and that’s all it takes. I don’t think I want to conquer painting. It’s just something I love to do. Acting is something else you do well. Was that something you discovered later in life? Acting is just something that comes natural. I used to look in the mirror all the time, make funny faces, trying get my face right. Looking at Jim Carrey, looking at a lot of different movies. The key is that you pick up what you see all the time. That’s kind of where I got my Michael Jackson inspiration, my charisma. I did a couple of acting lessons, but when it comes down to it, I learned more from the actors on set, their energy and timing. Breezy also took a minute to talk about the kids: What’s Symphonic Love all about? Symphonic Love does programmes in schools, like with my school back home. Musical programmes and helping kids with disabilities. I do a lot of stuff with Best Buddies that coexists with that. The name comes from a tattoo that I’ve got [runs hand across his chest] – something that’s over my heart right now. So my heart is where it’s at. The tattoo “symphonic love” encompasses the positivity of what I’m trying to do – uplifting humanity. Is there something that fans would be surprised to learn about you? Just how involved I am with everything. I think a lot of people, a lot of artists, they get the glamour and glitz and everything else is already set for them. You see it and you say, “Oh man, it’s perfect.” But everything is already written. For me, it’s all just straight from thin air. I hear a song [claps his hands] – that’s my concept. When you hear my records, it’s really me writing. It’s really my emotions. It’s really me behind the cameras, directing those videos. It’s me making the decision on what singles we put out. Being the CEO. A real businessman at 23. That’s what I want to show my audience. The generation that we’re in – we’re a lazy generation. The kids in my generation are not as hyper. The work ethic isn’t there. The attention span is short. But I think if they can see me do it at 23 and have all this stuff going on – and still have fun while I’m doing it – who’s to say they can’t? There’s new information regarding the heartbreaking story of two young children who were stabbed to death by their nanny. According to RadarOnline reports : We’ve got new details for you in the case of Yoselyn Ortega, the Manhattan nanny accused of violently killing 6-year-old Lucia Krim and her 2-year-old brother Leo last week. The NY Post reported that the parents of the murdered children, Marina and Kevin Krim, had given the 50-year-old an ultimatum to do better at her job, or they’d find someone else. “She was told that if she didn’t improve her work, she would be let go,” an insider said, adding those close to the situation reported that the nanny was having mental and financial issues and looked unhealthy in the month prior to the double-murder. Police said Ortega told some she was planning on seeking psychological help, though it’s unclear if she did. “There was friction between her and the family,” police told The NY Post, adding the nanny was also enraged at the prospects of adding an extra five hours housework to her job duties for extra payment. “They were asking her to clean, to do housework. She was unhappy about that,” police sources told the paper, adding Ortega said the extra time would have cut into her doctor’s schedule. “She said something like, ‘I’m paid to watch the children, not clean up and do housework,’” the source told the paper of the nanny’s statements in the wake of the double murder. This doesn’t excuse what happened, but still it’s a far cry from the portrait the dad’s mother painted of her, saying the nanny was treated like gold. Does this make you nervous to let someone else take care of your kids?
I know she’s 11, but looking at someone flaunting themselves never hurt anyone…it is when you decide to touch…or expose your penis on the bus where you get in trouble…and unfortunately for you perverts…saying that for 1000s of years of humanity…and in some cultures today…the fact that a girl had her period makes her old enough to marry the prince to have his babies….just won’t hold as a solid defense in court…because western society says a bitch…although fertile and ready to make babies…is only ready to make babies with people over 18 when she turns 18….otherwise it is sex offense…..which could be unfair in your pervert eyes….but that I think is a welcomed law…cuz we gotta protect our kids…and more importantly…girls are only fun after they’ve got a little experience in them… But I can still appreciate a young fit body…who is obviously being told to exploit and expose her young fit body…because why the fuck else would she be posting pics like this of her ass on Twitter….making me think maybe her mom needs to be looked at a little closer…in how she’s raising her kids to be hookers…. Michael Lohan sucks at getting Lindsay Lohan into rehab, but he says he got the job done with Octomom Nadya Suleman. Seriously. MiLo is claiming credit. Lindsay’s dad claims he’s running a non-profit in Florida for nine months that stages interventions for people in need of substance abuse treatment. So far, he’s successfully helped at least 25 people, according to Mike at least. His latest success story? Successfully having Octo check into rehab . Octomom’s manager recently voiced her concerns to him about the mother of 14’s Xanax dependency, so Michael decided to take action last week. Why on earth anyone calls Michael Lohan for help about anything is up there with why anyone would watch the Octomom porn on the list of un-answerable questions. Still, he apparently made arrangements for Octo’s treatment. Respect. Then he helped her people stage an intervention, and Octo agreed to get help. Michael tells TMZ, “The most important thing is the willingness to realize and surrender to the issue and commit to getting help, which Nadya did!” “If it wasn’t for her manager Gina, my good friend, Tim Chapman at the Chapman house/Teen savers and Gina’s daughter, this would not have been possible.” Octo’s currently in a 30-day in-patient rehab program, but still gets to call her kids twice a day. If you are a previously godless East coaster who’s found himself prostrate and praying for electricity in the wake of Hurricane Sandy , here’s a suggestion: Visualize Denzel Washington when you say those Lord’s Prayers. If God makes his will known through the people, then it turns out that the Flight star would be the top choice to portray Jesus Christ in a movie about the New Testament. By the way, this does not rule out God being a woman, since we all know that Denzel is so handsome and talented that the female God would want him to play her son so she could get closer to all that hotness. (Memo to God: Do not underestimate the power of Pauletta !) Washington is far and away the top choice, with 21 percent of the vote, seven points higher than Daniel Day-Lewis , who is the actor of choice when it comes to portraying god-like historical figures. Al Pacino finishes third, which suggests that Jesus says “Hoo-ah!” a lot, while Ryan Gosling , who evokes the most “OMGs” among the young female crowd would be fourth. (Come to think of it, if Baby Goose grew his hair out, he would look a bit like the Son of God). The biggest surprise of the poll: Woody Allen , who, cinematically speaking, was the King of the Jews back in the 1970s, beats out Philip Seymour Hoffman , who is generating Oscar buzz for portraying a man who appoints himself the god of a self-invented religion in The Master . It’s Hitchcock in the morning, Hitchcock in the evening, Hitchcock at supper time given the upcoming Hitchcock movie, the recently-aired HBO flick The Girl , Blu-Ray releases of Dial “M” for Murder (in 3D!) and Strangers on a Train , and now a sumptuous new collection of the Master of Suspense’s work. On the other end of the spectrum is a kids’ holiday movie that never got the acclaim it deserved — but now that director Paul Feig has gone on to make a little film called Bridesmaids , maybe it has a shot at cult status. HIGH: Alfred Hitchcock: The Masterpiece Collection (Universal Studios Home Entertainment; Blu-Ray $299.98) WHO’S RESPONSIBLE: This impressive set features 15 films directed by the Master of Suspense. WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT: Hitchcock plied his trade at a number of movie studios over the years, so this is hardly a complete retrospective of his legendary career. That said, Universal offers a sumptuous array of some of his best movies (and a few that aren’t the greatest). Recent Sight & Sound magazine chart-topper Vertigo pops up, alongside such cherished classics as Psycho , North by Northwest and The Birds . The box set also includes such lesser-known but equally unforgettable films Shadow of a Doubt , Frenzy , Rope , Marnie and Saboteur . WHY IT’S SCHMANCY: Hitchcock’s career is notable for more than his directorial talent. After David O. Selznick brought him to the U.S., Hitchcock became one of the most successful Hollywood filmmakers of his time. Then the French film critics who later started the New Wave, made the case that Hitch wasn’t merely a genre director but rather an artist and auteur . He scored a trifecta of sorts when the Alfred Hitchcock Presents TV show, featuring his droll wrap-arounds, made him a household name in this country in a way few directors ever accomplish. All three Hitchcocks — the journeyman, the visionary and the self-promoter — are on display here. WHY YOU SHOULD BUY IT (AGAIN): Only a few of these titles have been previously available on Blu-Ray, and there are enough extras here to stun an ox, from audio excerpts of the famous Hitchcock/Truffaut interviews to trailers and documentaries. Leonard Maltin even pops up to provide a defense for one of my least-favorite Hitchcock movies, Topaz. If anyone’s going to make me rethink a film, it’s Maltin. LOW: Unaccompanied Minors (Warner Home Video; DVD Double Feature with Dennis the Menace Christmas $12.97) WHO’S RESPONSIBLE: Written by Jacob Meszaros and Mya Stark, based on the story by Susan Burton; directed by Paul Feig; starring Dyllan Christopher, Gina Mantegna, Lewis Black, Wilmer Valderrama. WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT: Spencer (Christopher) and his younger sister Katie (Dominique Saldaña) are flying on their own — “unaccompanied minors,” in airline-speak — to spend the holidays with their father when they get snowed in at a Midwestern airport. Big brother and a bunch of other solo-traveling youngsters must outsmart the airport’s Christmas-hating manager (Black) to make sure Katie gets her present from Santa. WHY IT’S FUN: OK, yes, it sounds like your typical Home Alone rip-off, but Unaccompanied Minors deftly mixes youthful angst (they’re all the children of divorce) and hilarious hijinks in a way you’d expect from Feig, the creator of Freaks and Geeks . As with his critically-acclaimed NBC series, Feig has a great eye for casting the kids (the juvenile cast includes Brett Kelly from Bad Santa and Everybody Hates Chris ’ Tyler James Williams). He also loads the cast with a team of comedic all-stars that includes Teri Garr (as a woman whose holiday decorations are so aggressive that they scare passers-by), Rob Corddry, Sandra Tsing Loh, Mindy Kaling, B.J. Novak, Jessica Walter, Tony Hale, Dave “Gruber” Allen and three of The Kids in the Hall. WHY YOU SHOULD BUY IT: If you’ve got kids you need to keep entertained this holiday season, or if you want to check out a comic gem that was mostly ignored at the time of its release, this one’s absolutely worth picking up.
