Jared Fogle Prison Attacker: The Pedophile Deserved It!

Approximately one year after he beat Jared Fogle nearly to death, the man responsible for bludgeoning this disgraced former Subway spokesman has finally spoken out. In the following letter, he explains why Fogle deserved what happened to him. First, however, a refresher: In November of 2015, Fogle was sentenced to 15 years behind bars after an investigation determined that he often partook in some truly reprehensible behavior. According to authorities, Fogle texted over a dozen victims (all of them minors), offering to pay them money for various sex acts, often receiving illicit photos from several of the young girls.   A raid of his home turned up child pornography on Fogle’s computer, while court documents stated he had traveled between Indiana and New York City several times between 2010 and 2013 to pay for sex with teenage girls. Like we said: truly reprehensible behavior. With such strong evidence against him, Fogle didn’t even go to trial. He pleaded guilty in late 2015, hoping to reach a deal with prosecutors that would result in only five years in jail. But a judge saw things differently. Hence the 15-year punishment. Fast forward to January of last year and reports that Fogle was savagely beaten in the prison yard. According to a TMZ report in March, James Nigg – a 60-year-old serving numerous year on a weapons charge – reportedly pushed Fogle while outside with him and then repeatedly punched him in the face. Shortly after news of this assault went viral, family members of Nigg’s said they were not surprised by the confrontation. Nigg had reportedly been complaining about the presence of child molesters in the minimum security prison for awhile… and he simply could not handle such a famous one being in his presence. Now, in a letter obtained by TMZ, Nigg has basically confirmed this assertion. In the message, Nigg says “Jared is [a] hero” to other pedophiles in prison, writing in disgust: “You would not believe how arrogant Jared was. He hired bodyguards and the other child molesters looked at him as if he was a god.” This perception was altered, briefly at least, when Nigg left Fogle with a bloody nose, swollen face and scratches on his neck early last year. Following his pummeling of Fogle, Nigg was moved to an Oklahoma prison. He says he’s since “lost good times [that is, time off his sentence] and spent many months in the hole, plus the loss of commissary and email” due to the actions he took against Fogle. Still, “I have no regrets,” Nigg concludes. So we’ll just stop writing words now in that case.

El Chapo From Prison: Hey, Am I Still Famous?

Eventually, you’ll be familiar with El Chapo from the inevitable Netflix series based on his exploits, but in case you can’t wait that long, here’s a run-down: Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman was digging tunnels in Mexico long before the Donald hatched his cartoon supervillain plan to build a border wall. The infamous drug lord escaped from prison twice  before being recaptured and extradited to the United States. As if that’s not Hollywood enough, it was actor Sean Penn who inadvertently led police to El Chapo after interviewing the head of the Sinaloa Cartel for a piece in Rolling Stone. These days, Guzman’s life is considerably less glamorous. The 62-year-old is currently being held in solitary confinement in New York’s Metropolitan Correctional Complex. Sources say Guzman is confined to a “closet-sized” cell 23 hours a day, five days a week. He’s permitted to leave the cell for one hour each weekday so that he can work out on a treadmill or stationary bike to prevent his muscles from atrophying. Chapo’s lawyers are in court this week arguing that the treatment is inhumane, and petitioning for their client to be relocated to the facility’s general population wing. It’s a tough sell for a couple of reasons: 1. Chapo is a two-time escapee, and if prison officials are no doubt concerned that he’ll try again. 2. Chapo is an A-list celebrity in the crime world, a fact that could make him an esay target for inmates with something to prove. Interestingly, insiders tell TMZ that Guzman isn’t all that concerned with the upcoming trial that will likely land him behind bars for the rest of his life. Instead, he’s reportedly more focused on his celebrity status . “He regularly asks his lawyers, ‘What are they saying about me?’ He’s very concerned about his image,” says a source inside the prison. Of course, he needn’t worry too much, as a story like his probably won’t go too much longer without being adapted for the screen. View Slideshow: 19 Celebrities Who May Have Killed People It’s a thorny issue, because on one hand, El Chapo is a murderous gangster who’s devastated whole communities, and thus, probably doesn’t deserve to be celebrated. But on the other hand, the guy had to spend two days hanging out with Sean Penn. So when you think about it, he’s really already suffered enough.

Hillary Speaks on 2016 Election Loss: I’m Never Leaving the House!

Hillary Clinton is struggling to come to grips with the idea that Donald Trump is U.S. President-Elect , but she's getting on with her life too. Wednesday, the former Secretary of State made her first public appearance since the stunning 2016 election results of last week. At a Children's Defense Fund event in Washington, D.C., there was no avoiding the fact that she was still reeling from the experience. “I know that over the past week a lot of people have asked themselves whether America is the country we thought it was,” she said. “The divisions laid bare by this election run deep.” “But please listen to me when I say this: America is worth it. Our children are worth it. Believe in our country, we fight for our values.” “[We] never, ever give up.” The fact that we know who won the popular vote by more than 1 million votes is likely of zero solace to our nation's 42nd FLOTUS. “”There have been a few times this past week when all I wanted to do was just to curl up with a good book or our dogs,” she said. “And never leave the house again.” In that sentiment, she is far from alone. No matter how conciliatory and hopeful she may be about a Trump presidency, this has got to hurt. See highlights of Clinton’s speech below …

Kendall Jenner Ranks Relative Names: Which is Worst?

Kendall Jenner was forced to come clean on Wednesday night. Either do that, or the 21-year old model was asked to eat something very dirty. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star was a guest on The Late Late Show with James Corden, sitting down at one point for a round of Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts. This is basically an extreme version of Truth or Dare in which the participants must answer an awkward question … or eat a revolting food of some kind, such as grasshoppers or fish eye The is akin to “the worst first date ever,” Jenner joked on air. But Corden then turned serious when the topic turned to Rob Kardashian's new baby, along with the two kids birthed by Kim Kardashian. “Kendall, three of your nieces and nephews are named Dream, North and Saint,” Corden said. “Rank those baby names from best to worst.” Ooooh, tough one! Here is how The Hollywood Gossip feels about that question. Watch the following video to see how Kendall responds to it, along with a number of other personal inquiries.

Brendan Dassey: Making a Murderer Subject to Be Released From Prison

Last year, Making a Murderer proved to be a massive – and massively surprising – hit for Netflix. Part of the reason the documentary series’ success was so unexpected was that it never offered viewers a traditional hero to root for: Virtually nothing is revealed about murder victim Teresa Halbach, and the filmmakers are less focused on her than on the circumstances of her death. Steven Avery – even if innocent of the major crimes that have led to him spending most of his adult life behind bars – is admittedly a deeply troubled man prone to animal cruelty and fits of extreme rage. The attorneys tasked with protecting Avery from what at times seemed to be an obvious frame-up were lauded for their efforts, but they ultimately failed to secure a not guilty verdict. The series has spurred intense debates on social media with regard to who was responsible for Halbach’s death and whether or not justice was served, but all viewers seem to agree that it’s impossible to watch Murderer without feeling profound sympathy for Avery’s then-teenage nephew, Brendan Dassey. Now 27, Dassey has been serving a life sentence since 2007 after being convicted of aiding Avery in Halbach’s murder. Dassey was just 16 when he was arrested, and he had previously been diagnosed with several moderate to severe intellectual impairments. Murderer featured footage in which investigators coerce a confession from Dassey, telling the teen that they won’t be able to “protect” him unless he signs a statement accepting responsibility for Halbach’s death. Dassey clearly doesn’t understand the implications of his confession, and maintains, even while signing the statement that he was in no way involved with the murder. Back in August a judge ordered that Dassey be released from prison after serving nearly a decade behind bars. At the time, it was determined that prosecutors would have 90 days in order to decide if they wished to challenge the ruling and re-try the case. The state of Wisonsin filed a motion to prevent Dassey’s release earlier this week, but they were overruled by U.S. Magistrate William Duffin, who has ruled that Dassey is to be released by 8 pm on Friday night. “In the motion to stay the respondent largely re-argues the same points already considered and rejected by the court in deciding Dassey’s motion for release,” Duffin wrote in his decision. “The court finds that reconsideration of these arguments yields the same conclusion. The respondent’s motion to stay is denied.” View Slideshow: 19 Celebrities Who May Have Killed People Dassey’s mother never stopped fighting for his release, and family insiders say she has been excitedly preparing his bedroom and planning his favorite meal for Friday evening. As for Avery, he filed an appeal in January and will go to trial with a new attorney in the months to come. A second season of Making a Murderer featuring the many developments in the case is reportedly in the works.

Michael Jace Found Guilty of Killing His Wife

Michael Jace, an actor best known for his role on FX’s The Shield, has been found guilty of murder. Jace was convicted of second-degree murder today for shooting his wife, April Jace, in front of the couple’s two young children in 2014, E! News has confirmed. He will appear in front of a judge on June 10 for sentencing and faces 40 years to life in state prison. An attorney for Jace had tried to argue in court that his client merely meant to wound his wife during a fight between the pair, which took place after April said she wanted a divorce. Jurors deliberated for fewer than three hours over the course of two days before arriving at the verdict.  The ruling was changed from first-degree to second-degree murder because the jury didn’t believe the crime was premeditated. Evidence, however, proved that Jace shot April three times during their confrontation. Jace was arrested after Los Angeles police officers responded to a 911 call. He was placed under arrest and held in jail on $2 million bail, at which time a protective order was issued for him to stay 100 yards away from his and April’s two sons. “I was just angry,” Jace told investigators, based on a transcript released Thursday. “All I intended to do was shoot her in the leg. And then I shot her in the leg and that was it.” Jace stood out for his role on The Shield, but also had appearances in Boogie Nights, Forrest Gump and the TNT drama Southland. O.J. Simpson Manager: He Didn’t Even Write "If I Did It"!

O.J. Simpson’s longtime associate and former manager Norman Pardo says the disgraced NFL star got a raw deal, particularly involving If I Did It . He spoke out again Tuesday, on the 20th anniversary of Simpson’s infamous arrest for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. Pardo claims O.J. didn’t write the controversial book If I Did It , the 2006 tome which explores how Simpson would’ve hypothetically probably killed people . If he did it, that is. If. Personally, we feel that this alternate title and cover (above right) would have been more appropriate under the circumstances, but alas, we digress. According to Pardo, Simpson agreed to claim authorship of If I Did It after being promised a $600,000 payout by NewsCorp and its subsidiary ReganBooks. “I remember when that book was coming out. O.J. called me. He said, ‘Here’s the deal,’ because it was in the news that he was going to do an interview.” “I said, ‘O.J., don’t do it, it’s stupid.’ He said, ‘Hey, they offered me $600,000 not to dispute that I [wrote] the book.’ He said, ‘That’s cash.'” “I said, ‘They’re going to think you wrote it.’ He said, ‘So?'” “‘Everybody thinks I’m a murderer anyway,'” the Juice reportedly told Pardo then. “‘They’re not going to change their mind just because of a book.'” Amid public outcry, the project was yanked, and in 2007, the family of Ron Goldman acquired its rights to satisfy the 1997 wrongful death suit against O.J. So what creep was actually behind the words in If I Did It? “A ghostwriter for [the book’s publisher] wrote the book. [O.J.] was going to do an interview to say, ‘ I wrote the book , blah blah blah,’ and they give him money,” Pardo said. O.J.’s right about one thing in that people do believe he probably killed people – exonerated in the eyes of his Lord as he may be (in his warped mind). That book? Not exactly a positive PR move, however. 15 Celebrities Who May Have Killed People 1. O.J. Simpson O.J.
