Daniel Radcliffe: Engaged to Erin Darke?!

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is engaged to longtime girlfriend Erin Darke, Star magazine reports. “They’re trying to keep it low key,” says a source close to the couple. “But they’re both bursting with excitement. It’s the happiest we’ve seen him in years!” Happier than when he was chosen as Seeker for the Gryffindor quidditch team?! We don’t think so, source . The insider also claims Radcliffe has selected his Potter co-star Rupert Grint as his best man for a ceremony that will reportedly be held on the banks of Lake Michigan. Radcliffe broke up with Rosie Coker just a few months before meeting Erin.  The relationship between Radcliffe and Darke  was made official in early 2013, and despite hailing from different countries (Erin is American), the two have reportedly been inseparable ever since. Erin is an actress who’s appeared in such films as Young Adult and Noah . She and Daniel met on the set of the film Kill Your Darlings , in which Radcliffe played legendary beat poet Allen Ginsberg. If the report is true we’d like to offer our heartiest congratulations to Daniel and Erin. We couldn’t be more excited if we had front row seats at the Tri-Wizard Tournament! Ellen Page on Bryan Singer Charges: "Super Disturbing"

Actress Ellen Page has spoken out about allegations that director Bryan Singer molested Michael Egan while the latter was still in his teens. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Page described the charges as “super disturbing,” adding, “I guess the truth will come out in the way that does, but it’s hard to hear about someone being in that position, someone you like working with.” Page, of course, reprises her role as Kitty Pryde in the upcoming film X-Men: Days of Future Past , which was directed by Singer.  “Whatever comes of it,” Page says. “I do think there’s a systemic issue of people in places of power manipulating and abusing young people.” The actress recently made headlines of her own for unrelated and very different reasons. Page came out as gay in February and has since gained legions of new fans and become a sort of representative for the LGBT community in Hollywood.  Though she’s probably best known for her role as a pregnant teen in the 2007 film Juno , producers of the latest X-Men film were reportedly so wowed by Ellen’s abilities as an action star that they’ve cast as her a sniper in the forthcoming film Queen & Country . For his part, Singer has denied all of the accusations against him, along with Garth Ancier and Gary Goddard – two other Hollywood moguls who were allegedly a part of the same underground Hollywood sex ring as Singer. Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen Back For ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’

Prepare for a double dose of mutant powers: The X-Men of the past and future will collide in Bryan Singer ‘s forthcoming sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past , which will bring Patrick Stewart ‘s Professor X and Ian McKellen ‘s Magneto together with their X-Men: First Class counterparts James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender in the same film, Singer announced today. I’d like to officially welcome back James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, & Nicholas Hoult to #XMEN for #DaysOfFuturePast — Bryan Singer (@BryanSinger) November 27, 2012 Thrilled to announce @ ianmckellen118 & @ sirpatstew are joining the cast of #XMEN #DaysOfFuturePast #magneto #professorX More to come… — Bryan Singer (@BryanSinger) November 27, 2012 This should be exciting for X-Men fans, who’ve seen the comic book franchise flit around timelines and younger/older versions of the same characters since Singer’s X-Men spawned a film universe of spin-offs and standalone superhero pics. This synopsis for X-Men: Days of Future Past explains how two Professor Xs and Magnetos can co-exist in the same film (via The Film Stage ): The storyline alternates between present day, in which the X-Men fight Mystique’s Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, and a future timeline caused by the X-Men’s failure to prevent the Brotherhood from assassinating Senator Robert Kelly. In this future universe, Sentinels rule the United States, and mutants live in internment camps. The present-day X-Men are forewarned of the possible future by a future version of their teammate Kitty Pryde, whose mind traveled back in time and possessed her younger self to warn the X-Men. It’s a familiar tale to fans of the X-Men comic; the dystopian alternate future saga of Days of Future Past was a hugely popular storyline, adapted memorably in the animated X-Men series in episodes featuring the time-traveling Bishop. The original comic storyline featured Kitty Pryde in the pivotal time-traveling role; is it too much to hope for Ellen Page reprising her X3 character to bring the entire X-Men film franchise full circle? (Probably.) X-Men: Days of Future Past is being scripted by Simon Kinberg, aiming for a July 18, 2014 release — excited, X-fans? Follow Jen Yamato on Twitter . Follow Movieline on Twitter .
