Jesus Take The Wheel: 16 Black Ohio Families Find Bibles With N-Word Written On Them In Front Of Their Homes!

Only a ignorant a$$hole thinks the Bible and racism go together… 16 Black Families In Ohio Find Bibles With Racist Langauge At Their Homes Via ZanesvilleTimesRecorder David Jones Jr. said he was excited to see a new Bible sitting on his front porch Monday morning. Then he looked inside and found what he describes as a “racial slur toward blacks,” written on the inside cover. A total of 16 black residents along North Mulberry and Springmill Streets and Vale Avenue received the marred Bibles on Sunday, according to the Mansfield Police Department. “At first I said good, because I can use another Bible, but when I opened it to see who it came from it just had a nasty statement in there,” Jones said. “I thought someone was saying it to me, but then I saw it on other porches, so I called police.” A few doors down, Lillian Webb had the same initial reaction. “I thought someone was trying to be funny, saying I need to read the Bible,” Webb said. “After I read (the slur), I thought, who would write that in a Bible?” Across the street, the Friendly House received three Bibles, director Terry Conard said. Bibles also showed up at two vacant houses on either side of Webb. Nine of the King James Holy Bibles were recovered Monday morning after Jones called in the complaint. Six more were found by police canvassing the area Wednesday. The same slur was “neatly” written in neon colors, according to victims. SMMFH @ “neatly” Police are classifying the act as ethnic intimidation, meaning the racial slur was meant to threaten and intimidate residents, Capt. Ken Coontz said. Those responsible could face menacing charges, a fourth-degree misdemeanor. If tied to ethnic motivations, the charge could increase the offense to a third-degree misdemeanor, or up to 60 days in jail, he said. The police are still searching for any clues that might help them find the person(s) responsible. We suppose this is better than a burning cross on your lawn, but it still has to be a little unsettling that this type of racism is still alive and kickin’ in 2013. Phil Jackson Says He Wasn’t Feelin’ Kobe Bryant Professionally Or Personally After Denver Sex Assault Accusations In New Book!

Phil keeps it trill. Phil Jackson Said He Resented Kobe Bryant After Denver Sex Assault Accusations Via LATimes Phil Jackson’s memoir hit bookshelves Tuesday and in addition to talking life, Michael Jordan, and Zen, the 13-time NBA champion, the former Lakers coach spoke on how Kobe Bryant’s sexual assault case drastically changed the way he viewed #8. It’s coming out now, though, in Jackson’s 339-page memoir co-written with Hugh Delehanty and available Tuesday: “Eleven Rings: The Soul of Success.”… Jackson talked about how the sexual-assault charges levied against Bryant in 2003 temporarily changed his outlook on the perennial All-Star. It “cracked open an old wound” because Jackson’s daughter was the victim of an assault while on a date with an athlete in college. “Brooke expected me to get angry and make her feel protected. Instead I suppressed my rage — as I’d been conditioned to do during childhood by my parents … it left her feeling alone and unsupported. (In the end, after filing a report with the police, Brooke chose not to press charges.) “The Kobe incident triggered all my unprocessed anger and tainted my perception of him. … It distorted my view of Kobe throughout the 2003-04 season. No matter what I did to extinguish it, the anger kept smoldering in the background.” Charges were dropped against Bryant in 2004, a few months after the Lakers lost to Detroit in the NBA Finals. The coach-player relationship eventually improved to the point that Jackson defended Bryant after his infamous trade demand in 2007. Bryant was irritated after three languid seasons and wanted to continue his championship pursuits elsewhere. “No question, losing Kobe would be a blow to the organization and to me personally,” Jackson wrote of that summer. Can’t say we blame Phil, Kobe been an “ain’t isht” n***a for a long time now. Continue reading

Whatcha Talkin’ Bout Willis? Kobe Bryant’s Parents Call Him A Liar, Mom Says He Gave Her The Memorabilia

SMH! Kobe please handle your scandal behind close doors. It’s always sad when families fight especially in the public eye. Kobe Bryant’s Parents Say Son Is A Liar According to TMZ Kobe Bryant’s parents have turned their backs on their son — claiming Kobe was LYING when he accused his mother of stealing more than a million dollars worth of his basketball memorabilia … and putting it up for auction, TMZ has learned. Kobe’s mom and dad — Pamela and Joe — both filed sworn declarations in the legal dispute between Kobe and Goldin Auctions, the auction house planning to sell off the valuable stuff … insisting Kobe willingly gave his mother the items in question … and it’s her right to sell them. According to Kobe’s dad, Kobe gave his mother the memorabilia over the years, telling her, “Here mom, these are for you.” Kobe’s mom insists she never took anything from him without permission. Even Kobe’s grandma has filed a declaration in support of Pamela. Kobe’s sister Sharia Washington, on the other hand, filed a declaration claiming their mother has been conspiring to sell Kobe’s stuff for years … telling her the family could profit greatly from Kobe’s stardom. Who’s lying? As we reported, Kobe has countersued, claiming his mother stole the memorabilia from his house. He wants to stop Goldin from selling the items and to have them returned to him. A judge has blocked the auction, but only for now. It’s kind of funny how Kobe’s entire family has turned against him. Hmm.. We bet somewhere Vanessa is smiling from ear to ear. Continue reading

Family Matters: Shady Kobe Bryant Takes Legal Action To Keep His Poor Momma From Auctioning $1.5 Million In High School Memorabilia

The Black Mamba has a cold, cold heart… Kobe Bryant Puts Cease-And-Desist On Mother’s Auction Of His Memorabilia Via Philly For years, Pamela Bryant kept asking her son: Do you still want all this stuff that I’m keeping for you – your old basketball jerseys, your sports awards, your high school trophies? And for years, according to a lawsuit filed in federal court in Camden on Thursday, the son, now 34, was content to let it all sit around at the house. Until … Until Pamela Bryant, Kobe Bryant’s mother, wanted to auction it off for an expected $1.5 million so she could use the money to buy a house in Nevada. That’s when the Los Angeles Lakers shooting star (and Lower Merion High School basketball phenomenon) put the brakes on the idea, sending a cease-and-desist letter to the auctioneer, Goldin Auctions L.L.C. of West Berlin. The 42 items of merchandise, which include several Lower Merion uniforms worn by the player and two 2000 Lakers Championship rings designed for his parents, were to go up for auction in June, each authenticated as genuine by Pamela Bryant. Sounds like Mama Bryant has been planning this little get-rich-quick scheme for a few years now. According to the lawsuit, Pamela Bryant had been storing some of her son’s memorabilia for at least 15 years – his high school uniform shorts and jerseys date back to 1994 and there’s even a Sonny Hill League Future Stars Champion trophy from 1992, when he was still in middle school. Seven or eight years ago, well after Kobe had gotten married, Pamela Bryant asked her son’s wife, Vanessa, if she wanted the items. She said no – those items belonged to the past, according to the suit. And so, five years ago, the lawsuit says, Pamela Bryant packed up the jerseys, the championship rings, and award plaques, spending $1,500 a month to store and insure them in West Berlin. “Pamela Bryant indicated to Ken Goldin that Kobe Bryant has never demanded the return of any of the items, nor were they in any way taken from [him] without his permission,” the suit says. Mother and son haven’t always been close. According to reports, Kobe Bryant’s parents, who are African American, didn’t attend his wedding because they thought at 21 he was too young and because his wife is not black. But like most disapproving parents, they came around with the birth of a grandchild, a girl. Things might get even more dicey because according to the lawsuit Kobe’s mom has already been paid $450,000 in advance of the sale and has used that money to put down on her Nevada dream home. Money and family just don’t mix. SMH Image via AP Continue reading

Kobe Bryant on Mike Rice: I’d Have Smacked Him!

Kobe Bryant did not attend college. But if he did? And if he had been at Rutgers University during the violent reign of Mike Rice ? The Los Angeles Lakers superstar knows exactly how he would have reacted. “I woulda smacked the hell out of him,” Kobe tells Jim Rome in an interview that airs on Showtime tonight. “No question about it.” Mike Rice Flips Out as Rutgers Players Rice was fired by Rutgers last week after the above video surfaced in which he hurls basketballs at his players and refers to them by homophobic slurs. The Rutgers Athletic Director then resigned because he failed to fire Rice in December upon first viewing the video. What a pair of morons.
