New Watch Alert: Fancy Shmancy Watch Maker Hublot Unveils Kobe “Backdoor Bandit” Bryant’s Signature Timepiece [Photos]

So now the guy with all the rings has a watch too? Must be nice… Hublot Unveils Kobe Bryant’s Signature Timepiece King Power Black Mamba Via Forbes Swiss luxury watch brand, Hublot, has named Los Angeles Lakers’ star shooting guard, Kobe Bryant, is its newest ambassador. To commemorate the partnership, Hublot released Kobe’s signature timepiece, the limited edition King Power Black Mamba. “Bryant was the perfect choice for Hublot—a brand known for its precision and excellence, traits that have characterized the basketball icon’s celebrated career,” said Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot. Hublot is enhancing its alliance with Bryant through its support of the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation. The Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of youth and families in need by providing financial resources for like-minded organizations. The announcement was made Wednesday on the rooftop of The London Hotel West Hollywood. Guadalupe presented Bryant with the Limited Edition King Power Black Mamba. This was followed by a shoot-off with two children from After-School All Stars Los Angeles, a charitable beneficiary of the Bryant Family Foundation. Taking shots from a makeshift basketball court constructed over the hotel’s rooftop pool, the contest raised $30,000 for the program. At least Kobe was able to finagle some charity out of these folks instead of just selling luxury goods to rich followers who want to live like Mr. Camel . Shots Fired: Vanessa Bryant Addresses Drizzy About Not Shootin’ In The Gym “I’m Raising Our Daughters, Signing Checks And Taking Care Of Our Home Life”

Scheme on that Drizzy! Well Kobe may have laughed it off when fans were chanting Drake’s “She wasn’t wit me shootin’ in the gym” off his “Stay Schemin’” verse but apparently Vanessa doesn’t find it very funny. The real actual basketball wife finally addressed the lyrics nearly a year after they dropped in a lil rant in her Instagram comments. Here’s what she had to say: I love when immature kids quote a rapper that has never been friends with Kobe and knows nothing about our relationship. Just shows how gullible they are. I don’t need to be in the gym. I’m raising our daughters, signing checks and taking care of everything else that pertains to our home life. I really wish people would stop THINK and then realize that they are being sucked into someone’s clear intention to monetize and gain attention off of our family’s heartache. This is real life. I hold down our home life so my husband can focus on his career. It’s a partnership. Since my husband is isn’t friends with Drake, we received a text of an apology forwarded from his manager. It’s done and over with and it’s now time for people to THINK before speaking. There ya go Drizzy, don’t worry if she shoots hoops, she writes checks! But on the real, did she take it too far with the signing checks line bit? In case you haven’t been following her on IG (she just joined this November) we compiled a few of our favorite posts she’s done in the last couple months. Hit the flip to see ‘em.

How Precious: The Black Mamba Says Voting Became More Important To Him After He And Vanessa Had Their Lil Laker Babies

How cute is this picture of Kobe Bryant with wife Vanessa and kiddos Natalia And Gianna? The Black Mamba is flexing his blogging skills in a new write-up about voting and how his kids help motivate him to the polls. Via iVillage.com : Why vote? The idea that each vote matters and that we individually have the power to influence how we are governed is why so many of our men and women have made the ultimate sacrifice. WE MATTER. That’s a powerful feeling, one that I’ve taken for granted in the past. In the past I believed that not exercising my right to vote would not make a difference in who became the next president so why should I take the time to learn the issues? I’d rather be shooting hoops! The change occurred when Vanessa and I had our babies. Neither of us grew up in politically charged households so the issues weren’t things we were necessarily excited to read about and discuss to say the least. It was ESPN for me and “Carrie Fever” (Sex and the City) for her. (Yes, I watched the show and loved it… It was quite “informative.”) As parents, the importance of the world we live in became a priority. Nothing is more important than the future of our little munchkins. They are now nine and six and are learning about the civil rights movement and the fight for women’s rights so they naturally have questions. Why were African Americans forced to sit in the back of the bus? Why couldn’t women vote? The most important answer we can give them outside of the ones found in our history pages is that our world has CHANGED for the better because individuals fought for their rights while inspiring others to do the same. We tell them, YOU too can change the world if you so dream and that YOUR opinion matters, YOU MATTER. Yes, voting is about doing your part as a responsible citizen but what really moves us to vote and learn about the issues is the example we set for our children and honoring the history of DEMOCRACY that our beautiful country stands for. Thank you for your time. Don’t forget to vote. That was really touching and for a moment we almost forgot what a tool-bag the Kobester is. But seriously, we should applaud his effort to motivate the public to exercise their civic duty. Keep up the good work Black Mamba! On another note, y’all peeped how he made the Hov reference about Vanessa talking about “Carrie Fever.” We think somebody must be trying to improve his public image and show how his matrimony-dom is still going strong.

True Or False? Vanessa Bryant In Talks To Do A Reality TV Show

Another one bites the dust?? Vanessa Bryant Says She Would Never Do A Reality TV Show If you guessed false, then you guessed right. Kobe’s ride or die wifey chick says she’s “100%” not in favor of putting her family’s personal life on blast. While it would be interesting to see what family like with the Bryant’s is like behind closed doors, Vanessa, the former wife of NBA superstar Kobe, shot down the possibility of having a camera crew follow her family’s day-to-day activities. Vanessa, who was married to the 34-year-old Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard since she was 18-years-old, knows only too well what it’s like to be a ‘real’ basketball wife, making sure the couple’s two daughters are well taken care of, allowing Kobe to focus on what he does best: play basketball. But the 30-year-old made it clear that she had no intention of showcasing her family’s antics with the world, during an interview with Giuliana Rancic’s lifestyle site, FabFitFun.com. Said Vanessa when questioned on the prospect of a reality TV show: “Absolutely 100% no. Kobe and I were approached to do a reality show after Nick and Jessica started Newlyweds, then they wanted my friend La-La and I to do one, years ago. I really enjoy my privacy and I love being my goofy and sarcastic self with family and friends. I certainly don’t want to enable people to think they have a significant opinion on what goes on in my life,” she added. Although she’s been constantly labeled a ‘gold-digger’ over the years, it seems Vanessa really does seem to put family first! Hmmmm….we’re thinking Vanessa just might be telling the truth since she’s remained out of the limelight for the most part so far…but you never know. Source

Vanessa Bryant: I’m No Gold Digger!

Vanessa Bryant may not be a gold-digging, domineering basketball wife … but she gave a quote earlier this week that certainly came off that way. Regarding husband Kobe Bryant, she told New York Magazine, “I certainly would not want to be married to somebody that can’t win championships.” “If you’re sacrificing time away from my family and myself for the benefit of winning championships, then winning a championship should happen every single year.” Yeah. Probably not the best word choice. Vanessa is now setting the record straight, clarifying to TMZ that she loves and supports Kobe , no matter what. “I’m sad to hear that some of the comments in my New York Magazine interview are being misconstrued and taken out of context,” says Vanessa Bryant . “I have been with Kobe for 13 years. I accepted his marriage proposal PRIOR to him winning any of his 5 championships with his teammates.” “I have and will continue to support my husband’s dreams. For anyone to think otherwise is wrong. It is not about being married to a ‘winner.'” “It is about our sacrifice as a family.” Kobe and Vanessa got engaged in 2000, the year he won his first NBA title, so you can’t argue with her there, and she took him back after he allegedly cheated more than once. Basically you gotta cut the female Bryant some slack … right? Vanessa Bryant: Digging for gold?

Vanessa Bryant Says Her ‘Championship’ Comments Were Misconstrued After being quoted as saying that she “ wouldn’t want to be married to a player who doesn’t win championships” during rare but candid sit-down with NY Magazine earlier this week, Vanessa Bryant now says it’s not quite like that and that she’s still gonna ride or die for her dirty-dog husband Kobe. via TMZ Bryant is finally responding to critics who skewered her for the interview she did with New York Magazine in which she said, “I certainly would not want to be married to somebody that can’t win championships.” Now, Vanessa tells TMZ … “I’m sad to hear that comments in my New York Magazine interview are being misconstrued and taken out of context. I have and will continue to support my husband’s dreams.” Vanessa continues, “I have been with Kobe for 13 years. I accepted his marriage proposal PRIOR to him winning any of his 5 championships with his teammates.” “For anyone to think otherwise is wrong. It is not about being married to a ‘winner’ it is about our sacrifice as a family. “ FYI — Kobe and Vanessa got engaged in May 2000 … and he won his first championship in June of 2000.
