Forget wah-wah . There’s only one sound Kim Kardashian hears when thinking of her impending child: KA-CHING ! The reality star has started to cash in on her pregnancy, blogging Monday after a “super comfy” pair of mommy jeans that are designed by J Brand. “I feel like I’m back to my old self and I’m so happy!” Kardashian wrote on her official site. “With this being my first pregnancy I’ve been finding it really difficult to find clothes that are comfortable and fit me well, but these are great. Are there any other moms to be out there who have tried these?” Probably. But there aren’t any others who were paid six figures to write those words. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are expecting a girl in July, but this doesn’t mean the couple will be getting married any time soon. For one thing, Kim is STILL legally wed to Kris Humphries . For another, she said in a recent Cosmo interview that she does not feel an urgency to marry. That, of course, may change the more cash E! throws at her to televise the wedding.
Tanning Mom is no longer on the hot seat … well, legally anyway. A grand jury declined to indict the New Jersey raisin for dragging her five-year-old daughter into a tanning bed last year, for which she was arrested. She became a national punch line, but Patricia Krentcil won’t be an inmate after the case against her never materialized into formal criminal charges. Children under age 14 are barred from using tanning salons, but Krentcil had denied bringing the kid into the physical tanning bed inside the place. A grand jury must have agreed. Tanning Mom claimed the burn marks on her little daughter’s legs came from the sun, which we assume did not appear to testify before the grand jury. The arrest generated publicity because of Krentcil’s extreme tan and professed love of tanning salons; Kristen Wiig did an unreal impression of her. According to CBS New York, Krentcil’s daughter was not taken away; she remained in her mother’s custody as the case proceeded through the grand jury. So anyway, Case closed. Tanning booth presumably open in N.J.
Robyn Rihanna Fenty, best known to fans by simply her middle and stage name, was born in Saint Michael, Barbados, 25 years ago today. Happy birthday! She began her career as a result of meeting producer Evan Rogers in late 2003. Yes … that was 10 years ago now. She’s sure come a long way since age 15. With 25 million-plus albums sold and nine #1 hits, the Caribbean queen is, in no uncertain terms, one of the most successful female recording artists ever. She’s done so having drastically altered her image, shedding a once-innocent appeal in favor of a harder, edgier, hyper-sexual persona … as you know. You can’t keep this girl down, and she’s gonna do whatever. Number of f–ks given? Zero. Case in point: Rihanna and Chris Brown being back together. Whatever you think of the style chameleon personally or professionally, her success is undeniable – and she’s not going anywhere anytime soon. Be sure to wish her a very happy birthday in the comments below! Then click to enlarge some vintage Rihanna pictures , past and present, as well …
Stop whatever you are doing and do the chicken dance, THGers. This is amazing news. Kristen Wiig has landed a unique role on Arrested Development Season 4 , as Vulture confirms the beloved actress will come on board the returning sitcom as a young version of Lucille Bluth . Like we said: amazing. Following years off the air, Arrested Development will return in May on a special deal with Netflix. All Season 4 episodes will be released on the same day and each will focus on a different member of TV’s funniest family. These will then lead into an eventual Arrested Development movie. Need we say it again? Okay: AMAZING.
A memo allegedly written by the U.S. Justice Department lays out the legal justification for potentially using deadly force against Americans abroad. An NBC News report said the 16-page “kill Americans memo” offers a detailed explanation of when it’s appropriate to use deadly force against Americans. Americans suspected of playing significant roles in al-Qaida terrorist operations may be killed by the U.S. government, according to the leaked memo. The document claims the federal government has the legal authority to target and kill American citizens believed to be responsible for terrorist activity. Even if there is no definitive evidence they are involved in planning a specific attack against the U.S., the memo suggests lethal force may be legitimate. The document reportedly broadens the legal justification supporting a recent surge in pilotless drone strikes, including those targeting Americans. A drone strike killed U.S.-born Anwar al-Awlaki and Samir Khan in Yemen in 2011, sparking debate over how the U.S. decides who can be legally killed and why. In January, a federal judge ruled against The New York Times in its effort to compel the U.S. government to reveal information on how it determines this. What do you think? Should the government be allowed to target American citizens if they’re on foreign soil? Or is this a huge constitutional overreach?
Forget eating a whole wheel of cheese. THIS is impressive: Kristen Wiig has officially joined the cast of Anchorman 2 ! Director Adam McKay announced the news last night on Twitter, with Christine Applegate quickly following up via her own message: “So excited Kristen Wiig has joined our cast for anchorman2. Going 2 b best movie ever made. Besides the best movies ever made.” The sequel comes out on December 20 and will return Will Ferrell, Applegate, Paul Rudd, Steve Carrell and Dave Koechner in their roles from the original classic. Three Massachusetts men and a 14-year-old boy were reportedly arrested Saturday night in connection with a violent brawl … at a baby shower. Bottles and punches were thrown and furniture was smashed. Police say 24-year-old Patrick Cardoso Lopes; 24-year-old Paulo Pires Depina; and 22-year-old Aderito Lopes Deandrade, all of Brockton, were arrested . They are scheduled to be arraigned Monday on charges including disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assault and battery on a police officer. The 14-year-old’s name was not released because of his age. Police say they responded to a function hall in Stoughton at about 11:45 p.m. Saturday and found as many as 200 people involved in the fight. One sparked, apparently, by uninvited guests. The fight, involving women, went on in front of children. Sgt. Daniel McGowan called the scene a “nightmare.” Another word might be “cluster*%k.”
Move over McKayla Maroney . Tommy Lee Jones is here to show you what it means to truly be unimpressed by something noteworthy. Among the highlights of last night’s Golden Globe Awards, Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig presented the trophy for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy. But while everyone at home and everyone in attendance laughed uproariously at their attempt to praise the nominees – for movies they apparently never watched – Jones looked more angry than entertained. Like, a lot more angry. See for yourself in this reaction shot:
