What Will ‘The Hills’ Legacy Be? Kristin And Audrina Weigh In

Final episode of ‘The Hills’ airs Tuesday, July 13, at 10 p.m. ET on MTV. By Jocelyn Vena Audrina Patridge Photo: Christina Garibaldi/ MTV News Shortly after Lauren Conrad bid a fond farewell to “Laguna Beach,” she found herself looking for love, friends and a career on “The Hills.” Over the show’s six seasons, LC and her pals — including Heidi Montag, Audrina Patridge, Lo Bosworth and even onetime frienemy Kristin Cavallari — created lots of drama, shared laughs and tears and let fans into their lives to get an intimate look at what it’s like to be a 20-something in Los Angeles. But when “The Hills” wraps permanently on Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET on MTV, what will it most be remembered for? “What people really responded to was how beautifully it was shot,” Cavallari told MTV News. “And the cameras they use [for the show] are the best, so it looks like a movie.” It looked so good that, when the show became a hit after its launch in May 2006, a number of other reality shows tried to capture that “Hills” magic. “I think they broke the mold for a lot of shows,” Cavallari said. “So I think they’ll be remembered as that [show].” Patridge, however, has a different theory about what the show’s legacy will be. “There’s been so many emotional scenes — and lots of blank stares,” she laughed about the show’s go-to dramatic close-up. “Lots of tears. Lots of fighting. Lots of gossip.” What do you think will be the legacy of “The Hills”? Tell us in the comments! Join MTV News all week as we look back at the best of “The Hills” and celebrate the series finale with the cast on Tuesday, July 13. Related Videos Saying Good-Bye To ‘The Hills’

Twilight Stars Will Make AT LEAST $25 Million Doing Some Weird, Weird Things

I know I previously begged for a little pity on behalf of poor, beleaguered Robert Pattinson, but consider my mercy at an end. Vulture is reporting that all three Twilight stars — that’s Pattinson, Kristin Stewart, and passionate wolfboy Taylor Lautner for those of you just returning from a cave on Mars — are set to pull in a record payday for the bifurcated last chapter of the Twilight saga.

‘The Hills’ Recap: Kristin Gets Her Flirt On In Costa Rica

Brody tries to play off his jealousy, and Audrina feels ‘awkward’ around Justin Bobby. By Amy Wilkinson Kristin Cavallari on “The Hills” Tuesday Photo: MTV For the 100th episode of “The Hills,” the gang (sans Lo) headed to Costa Rica for a little rest, relaxation and, of course, drama. As everyone explored their posh tropical resort, Stephanie wasted no time pulling Audrina aside to see how comfortable (or uncomfortable) she felt vacationing with Justin Bobby, whom Audrina had been seeing more of since she and Ryan Cabrera broke up. “It’s a little romantic of a trip,” Stephanie began. “Is that weird, since Justin is with us? Are you going to be OK?” For the most part, Audrina seemed unfazed, but she and Stephanie weren’t the only ones chatting about a potential hookup. “I think Justin and Audrina are probably going to hook up,” Kristin declared, though the rest of the group seemed sure it would be Kristin and Brody doing the hooking up. But later, Kristin confided in Stacie that she had her doubts about Brody. Stacie’s advice? “Flirt with every single guy here.” It didn’t take long for Kristin to follow at least part of Stacie’s advice as she got her flirt on with their lip-ringed bartender, Will. Brody was visibly irritated as Kristin told the bartender he was cute and accepted his invitation to hang out later that night — but Brody tried to play it off, saying, “I’m not going to get upset. I’m looking for chicks here too. You’re like my little sister.” Wow, harsh. Perhaps inspired by Kristin’s overtures, Justin Bobby began putting a few moves on Audrina. “You’re so cute with your hair up,” he complimented her. And later, as he was leaving the bar, he took it upon himself to grab Audrina’s butt — both cheeks! The next day, after an afternoon of surfing and ATV riding, everyone (including bartender Will) gathered for dinner. Sitting next to each other, Audrina asked JB why he’d been acting so strange lately. “It was awkward last night,” she said. “I had my reasons for not being my normal self,” Justin said, talking about Audrina’s emotional baggage. Brody again pretended not to be miffed by Will’s presence, offering a toast to Kristin, or as he so creepily put it, to “the sisters I’ve had sex with.” That was more than enough to rile Kristin, who grabbed Will, left the table and began making out with him by the pool. As the trip wound down, Justin made one last attempt at pleasantries with Audrina, asking her if she’d ever come back to Costa Rica, to which she simply responded, “Not with you.” Should Kristin and Brody quit playing around and get together for real? Sound off in the comments. “The Hills: Final Season” airs at 10 p.m. ET/PT every Tuesday, followed by “The City” at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. Top 10 ‘The Hills’ Moments, From Speidi’s Wedding To Lauren’s Farewell

We pick the best so far, as the reality series celebrates its 100th episode on Tuesday. By Jocelyn Vena Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner and Kristin Cavallari Photo: MTV We’re more than halfway through the final season of “The Hills” and Tuesday’s (June 29) show will mark the 100th episode of the MTV reality series. Even with Lauren Conrad long-gone, Speidi, Stephanie, Audrina, Kristin and the rest of the crew have been up to some serious shenanigans this season. Leading up to the show’s pivotal 100th episode, MTV News is giving you a cheat sheet of the show’s top 10 moments — a list of some of this season’s top moments so far is on the way — all to help you get caught up before the “Hills” finale airs July 13. #10: Stephanie Pratt’s Interview With Kelly Cutrone After landing a coveted job interview with People’s Revolution PR maven Kelly Cutrone, Pratt seemed at a loss as to how to actually leave a good impression on your potential boss. For one, telling her your objective is to become a handbag designer? Bad idea. Did she get the job? Of course she did — then she lost it. #9: Justin Is Christened Justin Bobby Before Audrina brought her new guy over to meet Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth, the two pals went back and forth over what to call him. “His name is Justin, but he, like, wants to change it to Bobby,” Lauren explained to Lo. When the hairstylist/drummer arrived at the girls’ apartment, Lo asked if it was OK to call him Justin Bobby , bestowing him with the most memorable nickname in “Hills” history. #8: Heidi Crashes LC’s Work Party As an intern at Teen Vogue, Lauren was just hoping to stay in the good graces of her boss, Lisa Love. Her party-girl roommate, Heidi Montag, however, just wanted to have a good time. She showed up uninvited to the bash with a small entourage and nearly ended Conrad’s internship. #7 & #6: Holly Gets Tipsy, Heidi Marries Spencer While it was probably shocking for bride-to-be Montag to watch her sister Holly’s drunken antics at her rehearsal dinner , it was probably even more shocking for viewers who realized that Heidi and Spencer really did intend to get married. #5: Kristin Declares War There has been bickering on “The Hills,” but nothing seemed quite as vicious as the fight between Kristin Cavallari and Audrina , who fought over Justin Bobby at a rooftop party during season five. Plus, until then, we’d never heard any of the show’s stars utter anything as juicy as Kristin’s now infamous “It’s on, bitch!” #4: Heidi Moves Out After many ups and many more downs, the dynamic duo that was once Lauren and Heidi really began to fall apart, when one major down, Spencer Pratt, came between the roomies. Heidi moved out of her apartment with LC to pursue her relationship with Spencer. And although the once-close pair sometimes crossed paths, their friendship was never the same. #3: LC Chooses Love Over Paris Maybe Lisa Love was right when she predicted LC was “going to always be known as the girl who didn’t go to Paris.” But at the time, Conrad really thought she had something going on with boyfriend Jason Wahler. Her pal Whitney Port went instead and Lauren had a pretty terrible summer. #2 & #1: LC, Heidi Reconcile, LC Exits It was the moment that had Heidi, LC and “Hills” fans in tears. For a brief moment, the onetime besties reconciled and reminisced about what had made them friends in the first place: They actually liked each other. But the brief reconciliation was too little, too late. What is your favorite moment from “The Hills”? Let us know in the comments! “The Hills” airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on MTV.

‘The Hills’ Recap: Audrina Breaks Up With Ryan

Meanwhile, Kristin warns Allie and McKaela not to cross her path again. By Amy Wilkinson Audrina Patridge on “The Hills” Tuesday Things haven’t been looking great for Audrina Patridge and her spiky-haired musician boyfriend, Ryan Cabrera , so it was hardly surprising the couple called it quits on Tuesday night’s episode of “The Hills.” After tearing up at Ryan’s concert last week and leaving in the middle of his set, Audrina finally offered the first coherent explanation for her waterworks. “In my mind, I feel like it’s coming to an end,” she told Stephanie, Lo and Kristin while out for dessert. “I made a mental list of pros and cons. It’s not going to work.” But Audrina, it’s nearly your birthday! You must do something fun for the big 2-5! Stephanie smartly suggested a boat ride in Marina Del Rey. But when Kristin asked if she should invite Justin Bobby, Audrina remained mum. Later, Lo, Stephanie and Kristin debated whether they should indeed invite JB to the shindig. “I just don’t want him to take advantage of the situation,” Lo worried. “The thing with Justin and Audrina is, they’re always going to be in each other’s lives,” Kristin countered. But Lo was sure Justin had an agenda. “I’m worried if Justin comes, the opening will be there, and she might take it. You can see it when they just talk.” One person who won’t be receiving an invite to Audrina’s party? McKaela — because where McKaela goes, Allie follows. Just as the gang was settling in for a night of partying at the club (and Kristin began administering a “love squeeze” to Brody), in walked the ever-innocent McKaela with her much-disliked gal pal Allie. And once again, Allie confronted Kristin, trying to convince her that she didn’t break into Brody’s apartment looking for the now-infamous lost ring. “You have absolutely no reason to hate me, Kristin,” Allie yelled. The two engaged in a short, heated game of grabbing each other’s wrists, which was the last straw for Kristin, who finally decided to leave. The next day, Kristin ran into McKaela while picking up Lo for lunch, leading to another awkward exchange. “Is this really about Allie or is this about me dating Brody?” McKaela asked. To which Kristin replied that they weren’t dating and that the next time McKaela saw Kristin, she should go the other way. Audrina, meanwhile, finally got some closure of her own by going over to Ryan’s house to end things. “You think we’re done?” Ryan asked, and Audrina agreed. After a good cry, however, Audrina was ready to par-tay! All of Audrina’s friends (including Justin Bobby but not Ryan) convened on a sailboat to drink, eat cupcakes and be merry. Audrina later found Justin Bobby alone on the deck of the boat. They talked about the reasons for Audrina breaking up with Ryan and how both Audrina and Justin Bobby have grown since their own split. “This is a good place to be,” Justin said. Though where that “place” is remains a mystery to us, as the two sailed off into the wild blue yonder. Do you think Audrina and Justin Bobby should get back together? Share your thoughts in the comments. “The Hills: Final Season” airs at 10 p.m. ET/PT every Tuesday, followed by “The City” at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. The Hills Recap: Make Up to Throw Up

Somebody please explain this one to us, if you don’t mind. At what point did Justin-Bobby become more than a transient figure, but a guy The Hills is based around, with Kristin Cavallari and Audrina Patridge smitten? What is the appeal of this guy? What woman doesn’t love a mysterious, shady individual morally opposed to haircuts, bathing, working or speaking coherently? It is useless to resist. Audrina Patridge proved again that she cannot quit him, casting Ryan Cabrera aside. Meanwhile, Kristin brought the ruckus to that psycho b!tch Allie Lutz. Here’s THG’s recap of Tuesday’s The Hills , “Make Up to Break Up” … FEEL THE MAGIC: A scene straight out of a Lifetime film . Audrina has weighed the pros and cons with Ryan, and it’s not gonna work. We’re imagining her writing an actual list. Pros: Nice, rich. Cons: Hair? Minus 4 . Kristin and Lo are bummed about Audrina’s feelings toward Ryan. Plus 5 , because they know he deserves better and that Justin-Bobby is a waste of space. From the moment Brody Jenner arrives at the club, Kristin and he flirt relentlessly. Hot. Plus 3 , because you might as well cue the adult film soundtrack now. Sleazy T sighting! Plus 2 . Brody says McKaela Line is crazy for bringing Allie Lutz around. Minus 8 , because McKaela Line and her connection to the crew are clearly fabricated by MTV. Allie spots Kristin across the club and tries to make amends, but Kristin calls her and their awesomely snarky confrontation almost gets physical. Plus 12 . BITCH PLEASE: Kristin Cavallari will bring it, Allie Lutz. Step. Away . Kristin shows up at Smashbox to meet Lo for lunch and is fake surprised to see McKaela there. Wow, can you BELIEVE the coincidental run-ins on this show? Plus 7 . Ryan Cabrera asks Audrina why she left his show early and she says it’s just too hard for her to hear him sing, ’cause the feelings just aren’t there. Weak. Minus 8 . No Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. Again. Minus 10 . Kristin invites Justin to Audrina’s b-day party for reasons unknown. Minus 5 . Weren’t these two supposedly together at the end of last season? That fizzled fast. Audrina and Stephanie talk about the difficulties of relationships and the importance of honesty … except when faking every single scene for a reality show. Plus 3 . Justin-Bobby tells Audrina he’s happy where the two of them are now. Sitting at THG World Headquarters writing this, we wish we could say the same. Minus 5 . TOTAL: -8 . SEASON: -14 .

The Hills Recap: Poor Ryan Cabrera!

Another week, another episode of The Hills that could have used a dose of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, who have just vanished from it with no explanation. Amusingly, Speidi’s real life drama is chronicled on the MTV show’s official blog, despite no sign of them on the show in weeks, or acknowledgment of this fact. In any case, the show was more of the same that we’ve seen in recent weeks – Allie Lutz continues to vie for McKaela Line and battles it out with Team Kristin. Seriously, this is what The Hills has become, and alas, what it will continue to be in all likelihood. Lauren Conrad and Speidi are not walking through that door! Here’s THG’s plus-minus recap of last night’s The Hills … Once again torn between Justin-Bobby and a superior guy, Audrina Patridge talks with Lo, who asks if she’d take J-B back if he changed. No answer. Minus 14 . Justin-Bobby gets thugged out at the club – and deep, man . Kristin Cavallari tells Brody Jenner that she warned McKaela about Allie and alleged break-in we’re supposed to care about. She’s so catty, it’s great. Plus 7 . Allie insists to McKaela that Kristin’s stories about her are, like, so totally not true and drops the classic drunk girl line: “They don’t even KNOW me!” Plus 5 . Everybody heads to Les Deux later – including Justin-Bobby and Ryan Cabrera, who have the most awkward introduction ever. Plus 9 , because that was real! Justin-Bobby tells Brody that Audrina “deserves the world” and doesn’t need grief. Minus 12 , because there’s no way he didn’t read that off MTV’s cue cards. Stephanie and Max are having a nice dinner when talk turns to her estranged relationship with Spencer Pratt and her DUI arrest. Double buzzkill! Minus 9 . When Audrina suggests that the “honeymoon” is over, Ryan says “If we caught each other at the wrong time, we need to figure it out. It’s your life.” Plus 5 . The cheese factor is amped up to 11 when, live in concert, he says he wants to sing a love song, which prompts Audrina to start crying. Words fail us. Wash . Kristin Cavallari Lutz Allie have it . Side note: You gotta love how Ryan, unlike the others who receive just a single name (e.g. Audrina, McKaela, Kristin), is always billed as Ryan Cabrera. Plus 3 . Stephanie says she isn’t sure if she is ready to date at this stage, at least until she finds a guy who understands her life. Minus 8 . Um, girl, get over yourself. At the Young Hollywood Party, Audrina Patridge hints at a breakup with Ryan. Too bad, because he actually seems like a good dude, despite the hair. Minus 7 . In vintage Hills fashion, an argument soon erupts between Kristin and Allie before Brody breaks it up. Poor McKaela just looks lost, unsure what to do. Plus 8 . Kristin thanks Brody for having her back, which he says he always will … unless he wants to nail some new girl. They walk off arm-in-arm, as usual. Minus 3 . Side note: We swore Kristin Cavallari was Heidi Montag for a sec with the makeup and teased hair – but a lack of HUGE fake breasts dashed our hopes. Plus 2 . TOTAL: -14 . SEASON: -6 .

‘The Hills’ Recap: Audrina Reconsiders The Justin Bobby Question

Meanwhile, Kristin nearly came to blows with Allie. By Amy Wilkinson Audrina Patridge and Ryan Cabrera on “The Hills” Tuesday Photo: MTV Many months ago, while standing on a pier overlooking the ocean, Audrina predicted that she and Justin Bobby would never speak again after that day. Boy, was she wrong. The drumming hairstylist continues to pop up in Audrina’s life, and on Tuesday’s episode of “The Hills,” it seemed she was having second thoughts about ending their relationship. Continuing last week’s debate, Audrina wondered if she should tell current boyfriend Ryan Cabrera about her run-ins with JB. Lo thought she should tell him, while Stephanie wasn’t so sure. Then Lo posed the real question: “If Justin got to the point where he could be the guy you wanted him to be, would you ever go back to him?” Audrina had no answer. It wouldn’t be long before Ryan had his own Justin Bobby meet-and-greet, as the couple ran into him at Les Deux while out partying. “I’m guessing this is supposed to be the big meeting,” Ryan joked as JB approached and shook their hands. “Did you really just shake his hand?” Lo chided Audrina. After several minutes of awkwardness, Audrina and Ryan decide to leave, but not before Ryan and Justin Bobby shared an ill-timed handshake/high-five/fist bump exchange. And in a very astute observation, JB told Brody how nice of a girl Audrina is, and how she shouldn’t be hurt by a rocker again. Words to live by, Justin. Later, when rehashing the night with Kristin, Audrina said she couldn’t help but feel like Ryan had missed his golden moment at Les Deux. “Even though it was really uncomfortable, it was Ryan’s opportunity to stand his ground,” she said. Kristin wondered whether Justin Bobby were trying to win Audrina back. When Audrina and Ryan finally sat down to discuss the uncomfortable evening, Ryan revealed that he was worried about what may happen once he’s away on tour. “If we caught each other at the wrong time, we need to figure it out,” he said. Later, when Audrina went to see Ryan in concert, she broke down in tears as he sang “On the Way Down.” When asked by Stephanie what was wrong, she couldn’t seem to articulate her thoughts, simply replying, “Everything.” When everyone met up later at the Nylon party, Audrina still wasn’t sure what to do about the Ryan/Justin Bobby situation. Meanwhile, McKaela, who showed up with trouble-making friend Allie, confronted Brody about their flagging relationship. “You left out of my life,” she accused him. Kristin told McKaela she must not be the sweet girl she pretends if she’s hanging out with Allie. At this, Allie and Kristin got into a heated argument. “What was that?” McKaela later asked Allie. “I’m humiliated, and they all hate me. Why didn’t you just walk away?” After the altercation, Kristin thanked Brody for having her back, to which Brody said he’d always have Kristin’s back. Then he really laid the charm on thick: “Can I drive you home? No. Can I take you home? Yes.” And the two left hand-in-hand. “The Hills: Final Season” airs at 10 p.m. ET/PT every Tuesday, followed by “The City” at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. Plus, Audrina Patridge Reunites With Ex Justin Bobby By Amy Wilkinson Audrina in “The Hills” episode 6 Try as they might, Kristin Cavallari and Audrina Patridge seemed incapable of escaping their exes on Tuesday night’s episode of “The Hills.” After last week’s blow-up with ex-boyfriend-cum-friend-with-benefits Brody Jenner , Kristin was ready to dive back into the proverbial sea of fish to reel in a new catch. “If a guy came along, I wouldn’t not hang out with him because of Brody,” she told friend Stacie. The two decided to ditch Hollywood and head to Venice on a manhunt. But the night didn’t go as well as they had hoped, as the two were hit on by a tipsy klutz who almost spilled Kristin’s drink and a guy whose best pick-up line was asking if they’d seen the ’90s teen flick “Can’t Hardly Wait.” Meanwhile, on the advice of Brody, new friend (or girlfriend?) McKaela met up with Lo to talk about the Kristin situation. “It seems like there might still be something there,” she confided to Lo, asking if she should be worried about Brody’s lingering feelings for Kristin. Lo advised McKaela simply to be friendly to Kristin and, rather randomly, to interview for an internship with her employer Smashbox. Lo later accompanied Audrina and Stephanie to the Viper Room to help Audrina scout the Brit band Purple Melon. But as the rockers left the stage, another band took their place: the same band that Audrina’s ex Justin Bobby plays drums for! “I thought that was always a joke,” Lo said of Justin Bobby actually being in a band. Audrina said something about him being shy and letting his hair fall into his face while playing, to which Lo astutely added, “Like a Muppet!” Lo asked Audrina if she was going to tell boyfriend Ryan Cabrera about seeing her ex, but Audrina never really seemed to give a straight answer. She met up with Justin Bobby after the set, and the two shared a hug and a civil interaction, exchanging pleasantries. Not surprisingly, when Audrina met up with Ryan the next day for a tour of his new house, she was mum about meeting up with JB. Ryan told her he would be gone on tour for a few days; Audrina responded that it was probably best that way as she had been neglecting her friends. Does Justin Bobby count as one of these friends? McKaela ended up landing the internship at Smashbox, and one of her first tasks was to assist Lo during a photo shoot. This proved to be the perfect opportunity to seek more advice about her relationship with Brody. “How do you handle the ghosts of the past?” McKaela asked, clearly referencing Kristin. “Be observant, and if you feel like something isn’t right, it probably isn’t,” Lo advised. If only McKaela had been at Voyeur later on to see Brody getting his flirt on with Kristin after the two ran into each other. “You look good tonight,” Brody complimented her. She complained that he hadn’t texted her after their argument the week before, to which he said he was merely giving her space to cool off. The conversation ended with the two declaring their love for one another (platonically, we think) before leaving the club together. But Kristin wasn’t the only one to run into her ex, as Justin Bobby arrived with his entourage and began chatting up Audrina. “I don’t think Spike’s going to like this,” Justin Bobby warned Audrina. “When Spike’s away, Audrina will play.” Related Videos The Hills (Season 6) | Ep. 6 | ‘Ghost From The Past’ The Hills: Live After Show (Season 6) | Ep. 6 Related Photos The Hills (Season 6) | Ep. 6 | ‘Ghost From The Past’
