‘The Hills’ Series Finale Marked By Life Decisions

Lo, Stephanie, Audrina and Kristin begin their post-show lives. By Amy Wilkinson Kristin Cavallari and Brody Jenner Photo: John Shearer/ WireImage For six seasons, the stars of “The Hills” have lived the L.A. dream — partying at Les Deux, riding on the back of bad boys’ motorcycles and swapping boyfriends like so many borrowed frocks. But during tonight’s series finale, the high-living Hollywood hotties made some serious life decisions. Lo decided that she would break her cardinal rule of not moving in with a man unless she was engaged to him. “It would mean I was starting the rest of my life,” she said as she contemplated moving in with her boyfriend, Scott. But from the sound of it, Scott won’t be waiting too long to commit. “I want this to be a long-term deal,” he said. “I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I’d marry you right now.” Though Stephanie’s far from the wedding chapel — we think — she did make her romance with motocross racer Josh official. While visiting him at the track, she made her feelings for her floppy-haired paramour plain. “You’re like the manliest guy I’ve ever dated,” she said. “But at the same time, the sweetest too. I like hanging out with you a lot.” And with that, the pair decided they didn’t want to see other people. Audrina decided what she really needed was a little distance from the drama of Hollywood, so she moved to a house in Hermosa Beach that had a view of the coastline. Meanwhile, Kristin packed up and moved to Europe to find out what life is like on the other side of the world. “I don’t want to wake up in 10 years still looking for that guy,” Kristin lamented to her friend Stacie. “Brody found his girl, so I have to go find what I want.” Though Brody tried several times to change her mind, Kristin was resolute. “I can’t believe this is really goodbye,” she said. The two hugged in front of the Hollywood sign one final time before Kristin was swept away in a black town car. 5 Reasons Why the Final Season of The Hills Was a Total Bust

The final season of The Hills was more disappointing than the last season of The Wire , and MTV wasn’t even trying to force a goofy fake serial killer plot down our throats (though come to think of it, this final stroll with Kristin and Brody probably would have been more enjoyable if an imaginary murderer was terrorizing the Hollywood Hills). Instead, MTV assumed the role of the assassin by destroying what used to be a good franchise by making Kristin Cavallari the star and stripping the audience of its collective dignity, one incest joke at a time. On the eve of tonight’s series finale, here are the five reasons why the last season of The Hills was a complete letdown.

Tony Yayo Explains 50 Cent Onstage ‘Attack’ In Brazil

G-Unit member says incident has been exaggerated — a fan simply ‘got a little carried away.’ By Shaheem Reid Tony Yayo and 50 Cent Photo: Johnny Nunez/ WireImage One overzealous fan doesn’t stop a show, Tony Yayo says. Earlier this week, footage of 50 Cent and G-Unit performing in Salvador, Brazil, hit the Internet. In the middle of “Ayo Technology,” a fan jumps onstage and tries to grab the G-Unit general . 50’s security and Lloyd Banks promptly subdue the fan — and the song never stops. On Tuesday (July 13), Yayo gave his take on the situation. “The show got crazy, man,” Yayo, who is still in Brazil with his crew, told MTV News Tuesday via phone. “For security reasons, when somebody jumps onstage … when [performers] got on chains for $20,000, $30,000, $40,000 dollars, that’s a security risk right here. Nobody should be onstage except me, Banks and 50. It was just a fan — he got a little carried away, a little happy. People make it seem like he got beat down real, real bad. He didn’t get beat down bad — he just got tackled, taken off the stage and the show [went] on.” Yayo said that whenever the Unit go to foreign territories, fandemonium ensues. “We been getting crazy love,” Tony added about the group’s time in Brazil. “That’s why I don’t want people in Brazil to think we out here beating down our fans. When somebody is on the stage, you want to keep the show going. We never stop the show. When you onstage and you got a crowd of 10,000 Brazilian people, you don’t want to stop it because a guy is jumping onstage. Just like Africa or other places you go, people get excited — we’re like UFOs to the people. They don’t see rappers come to Brazil and come to these other places. Sometimes fans get a little excited — that’s what that was about. The guy wasn’t beat up bad or nothing.” The incident was hardly the first time a fan has crashed a G-Unit performance. Back in 2008, a fan in Angola jumped onstage and endeavored to make off with 50’s Cent chain . Fif and company promptly jumped in the audience and recovered the merchandise. The man was later arrested after being turned in to police by his own parents. Related Artists Tony Yayo 50 Cent

‘The Hills’ Will Go ‘Out With A Bang,’ Audrina Promises

‘I wanted to come on and get people talking,’ her co-star Kristin tells MTV News before series finale airs Tuesday night. By Jocelyn Vena Audrina Patridge Photo: MTV So much drama has unfolded over six seasons of “The Hills.” In the last season alone, viewers saw Heidi Montag reveal her drastic plastic surgery makeover, Spencer Pratt begin to unravel and watched in surprise as Kristin Cavallari put herself out there, only to be rejected by ex-boyfriend Brody Jenner. But “Hills” castmate Audrina Patridge says fans should only expect more drama when the series’ farewell episode airs Tuesday night (July 13). “It’s our last season, so we’re going out with a bang,” Audrina told MTV News. And while friendship has been the focus of the reality-TV series, which premiered in May 2006, Kristin and Audrina admit that it’s the over-the-top mischief they’ve loved most about the show. And if anyone knows about trouble, it’s Cavallari, who first turned up halfway through season five, but has since made the sixth and final season all her own. “I was really nervous coming onto ‘The Hills,’ ” Kristin confessed. “I was the new girl. Going to Heidi and Spencer’s wedding, no one knew I was coming. But it ended up being pretty easy.” Cavallari also acknowledged that her now-infamous fight with Audrina at a “welcome back” party for Speidi may have sealed her fate as a “Hills” legend. “That was the whole point. I wanted to come on and get people talking,” Kristin said. “I knew that it was gonna stir things up. … I had no idea certain things, like that fight, would have such an impact.” As for one of her more memorable lines from that nasty fight — “I’m sorry I walked up here and you guys came at me like piranhas” — the “Hills” star says it was TV gold. “That was pretty good. It came out of nowhere,” she laughed. “I was proud of that one.” Audrina, on the other hand, couldn’t nail down one specific moment she’d remember most. There were simply too many to choose from over six seasons, she told us back in April. “There’s so many favorite moments,” Patridge said. “It’s funny because watching the show with the music, it makes it so emotional. So there’s been a lot of moments, fun moments, like going on vacation and just having fun with each other. There’s been so many dramatic moments and fights and tears and ups-and-downs of friendships and relationships, so really watching those — I mean, at the finale, we are probably all going to start crying. It is going to be a sad, sad moment.” What are your favorites “Hills” moments? Tell us in the comments! Join MTVNews.com on Tuesday, July 13, at 8 p.m. ET for a live stream from the red carpet of Hollywood’s Roosevelt Hotel, where the stars will gather for “The Hills Live: A Hollywood Ending.” Then tune in for the series finale at 10 p.m. ET on MTV and “The Hills Live: A Hollywood Ending After Show” at 11. Lauren Conrad’s Love Triangle, Lady Gaga’s ‘Hills’ Past And More On ‘The Hills: Revealed’

‘The Hills: Revealed’ takes a look at some of the biggest moments in the show’s history. By Jocelyn Vena Lauren Conrad on “The Hills” Photo: MTV Do you think you know everything about “The Hills” ? Have you been following the lives of Lauren Conrad and her gang since her days on “Laguna Beach?” Well, on MTV’s “The Hills: Revealed,” fans get the behind-the-scenes stories behind some of the show’s greatest moments. And, if you think you know, the show proved that you really have no idea. Long before Lauren Conrad lived in “The Hills,” she was high school girl caught up in a love triangle with Laguna Beach High’s Stephen Colletti and future “Hills” star Kristin Cavallari. But, it seemed that securing the elusive Colletti wasn’t as easy as “Laguna Beach” producers hoped that it would be. Colletti didn’t want to be on the show, and despite LC admitting that she liked him on her audition tape, it took some convincing to get Colletti to agree. Eventually he did, but there was a third puzzle piece missing: “We literally could not find Kristin,” MTV executive Liz Gately said. “We didn’t have any tape on her, didn’t have any pictures — our entire production was waiting on this girl.” Once “Laguna” producers found Cavallari, they had a show and everyone couldn’t get enough of LC. So, eventually “LB” came to an end and she moved to “The Hills,” where fans got the chance to meet Lady Gaga long before she was the superstar that she is now. At a 2008 fashion show, LC and her pal Whitney Port had to help style Gaga for a performance at the show. Gaga’s catsuit zipper broke, LC managed to save the day and from there a star was born. Speaking of stars being born, while Justin Bobby (whose last name happens to be Brescia) didn’t show up on the show until season 3, he had been in Audrina Patridge’s life for quite a while longer. They had met when Audrina was working at Quixote Studios and he was there, working on a shoot as a hair stylist. They dated on and off for some time, and while it was difficult for Audrina to get him to commit, it was more difficult for “Hills” producers to get him to agree to be on the show. So by the time he and Audrina decided to give their relationship another try, he had to agree to be on the show. “Third season comes around and he’s back in my life,” Audrina recalled. “So I’m like, ‘Well if you want to hang out with me you have to be on camera.'” He finally agreed, Lo Bosworth christened him Justin Bobby and the rest is reality-TV relationship history. Fans couldn’t get enough of Speidi, so when Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt decided to get married in April 2009, producers had to make sure that everything, including cameos by LC and Kristin, went just right. As if keeping the two girls away from each other wasn’t difficult enough, power issues in the church meant that they would have to work hours longer. Once they got the power restored, LC was able to reunite with Heidi one last time, Kristin was able to surprise everyone by strutting into the church, Speidi could finally get married — not to mention that LC could drive off into the sunset. Join MTV News all week as we look back at the best of “The Hills” and celebrate the series finale with the cast during our livestream from the finale’s red carpet on Tuesday!
