Kylie Jenner is about to turn 21 years old. But instead of celebrating the occasion with a glass of champagne, because she’ll be legally permitted to drink tomorrow, the reality star is celebrating in far more low key fashion*: Via a photo shoot with her precious daughter, Stormi. (*Okay, this is not entirely true. According to Radar Online, Kylie is actually spending $1 million to throw herself a total of five parties over this coming weekend; two at clubs and three at private residences.) Jenner took to Instagram on Thursday and posted two gorgeous portraits of herself and her first-born. There’s really no other way to describe these images. No matter what you think of Jenner, the snapshots are gorgeous. “bringing in my birthday tonight with my most special gift. What was life before you, Stormi. I love you my little angel,” wrote Jenner as a caption to the first picture, adding simply alongside the second: “My heart.” Those who follow Jenner on Instagram (all 112-million plus million of you) were likely surprised by these posts, considering Kylie has been sharing fewer and fewer pictures these days of her child. The same can be said of Stormi’s dad, Travis Scott, as well. Insiders have said that the couple is making an effort to shield Stormi from the spotlight, at least over the first few weeks, months and years of her life. “Kylie felt so protective of her baby when she was pregnant. This is why she didn’t share any bump pictures while she was pregnant,” a source said in June, during the height of Jenner’s hiatus from over-sharing. In early July, however, Kylie ended this self-imposed baby ban and started sharing fresh looks at Stormi with fans once again. Explains the same insider cited above, telling People Magazine why there was an influx of Stormi pictures and then a break in between the latest set: “After Stormi was born, Kylie was the proudest mom. She couldn’t wait to show off Stormi to her fans. She posted pictures because she was so excited to be a mom. “Unfortunately, social media is a crazy place [and] people have been making nasty comments” about Jenner’s little girl. If true, that really is inexcusable. You may have whatever opinions you possess about Jenner and her sisters, but what kind of person hurls shade at an infant? Thankfully, Kylie does not appear to be letting the trolls get her down. She’s remained mostly off the gossip grid ever since Stormi was born, content to relax at home and take advantage of this special time with her daughter. It is being reported that over the last three months the once favorite social media app has lost about 3 million daily users. Looks like Instagram is seriously eating Snapchat’s food and is one of the leading factors in the app’s downfall. The redesign that immediately turned off users and its constant issues with the Android app didn’t help its cause either and contributed to the mass exodus. User growth for the app is slowed down last quarter, and the spectacles which they hope would fly off shelves failed to latch on with users which led to the head of Snap Lab to step down due to restructuring. Snap Inc does plan to release a new and smaller version called Spectacles 2 in hopes of a different result. Now as of yesterday (August 7th), reports show the apps number of daily users have dropped from 191 million in the first quarter of the year, to now 188 million users. This news marks the first time in the company’s history that its user count has dropped. It’s not all bad news, Snap Inc CFO Tim Stone says active users are now actually up to 100 million in US and Canada, and the overall revenue is $242 million which is a 44 percent year-over-year increase and an 11.9 percent bump in from the previous quarter. In a prepared statement, CEO Evan Spiegel spoke on the numbers and put most of the blame on the app’s redesign and stated: “It has been approximately six months since we broadly rolled out the redesign of our application, and we have been working hard to iterate and improve Snapchat based on the feedback from the community.” He also spoke about Snapchat’s issues with it’s Android app: “Even though our iterative efforts to improve the existing application have helped increase new user retention on Android by nearly 20 percent since Q4 of 2016, we believe that rewriting the application presents a big opportunity because it takes advantage of the latest Android capabilities and has a modularized structure that will make it easier for us to innovate in the future.: Sounds good but will its recent updates such as new camera filters, group video chats and Harry Potter bitmojis and new spectacles work? Lets not also forget the impact of Kylie Jenner and Rihanna sharing their displeasure also hurt the app and the company’s value as well. They might want to get a big name on board to help with regaining its cool factor with the users that left the app. Cause as of right now Instagram is showing no signs of letting up at all. It will follow her life after the birth of her daughter Stormi,” a source tells Radar Online. “Fans are really interested in seeing Kylie as a mom to Stormi, and they are also really interested in seeing how she made such a massive fortune in such a short period of time.” Yes, it seems that the public perception of Kylie has changed dramatically in recent weeks, and her reputation has enjoyed a major rebound. “She is now a role model to so many women out there who think they cannot raise a baby and have a successful career,” says the insider. I like my women when they look in between the ages of 18 and 30 with some exceptions, most notably Christie Brinkley. So when I see Kylie Jenner and know that she is 20, I can’t believe anyone would pay money to look like that. She must have a mental illness. The two welcomed their baby daughter Stormi Webster into the world only five months ago, but the little one already owns more shoes than most of us regular folk. Jenner showed off the impressive collection via her Instagram stories on Tuesday. The youngest Webster has some heat in her closet, which includes Giuseppe Zanotti’s, Gucci flats and black cement Air Jordan 3’s. Daily Mail estimates the total value of the collection to be around $22,000…even though the baby is still months away from even taking her first steps. Kylie narrates the video saying, “Stormi can finally fit into some of her sneakers. So, I’m about to see if she likes shoes. Too cute.” While showing the collection, Jenner says that her better half is the one who selected the basketball shoes. The rapper has released multiple collaborations with Nike, so it’s probably not too hard for him to get ahold of some cute baby sneakers.
