Race Matters: Ignorant, Racist, A$$hole, Goes HAM On ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith Because Of Tim Tebow Criticism!

This Tim Tebow thing has gotten WAY out of hand!! Saturday night, Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos we’re humiliated at home by Tom Brady and the New England Patriots 45-10. A majority of this years NFL season was spent debating the merits of the first-year starting quarterback, and whether or not he can actually PLAY the position that he was drafted for. The humble, well-mannered, overtly-Christian, WHITE, quarterback quickly became a lightning rod for polarizing debates in offices, on trains, at dinner tables, and especially on TV. Stephen A. Smith is one of the sports pundits who is at the center of the Tebow controversy alongside his morning show partner Skip Bayless on ESPN’s First Take. People tend to feel very strongly one way or another when it comes to discussing Tebow and in most cases both religion and RACE are a factor in those feelings. As a “non-believer” in Tebowmania, Stephen A. Smith has found himself on the receiving end of the ire of Tebow fanatics. Today, he got a particularly disturbing message on Twitter that he shared with his followers of exactly HOW out of pocket some folks are. After posting this disclaimer, Smith retweeted the hate-filled message: This ignorant-a$$ tweet made us wonder…would Tim Tebow be received differently if he was a black quarterback?? Would the criticism be more harsh or less?? More On Bossip! Eff A Thug!!! Man Catches Fade With 50-Year-Old Grandma Because She Told Him To Stop Cussing At Chuck E. Cheese

This can’t be real life … A woman is in the hospital after witnesses say she was assaulted at a Chuck E. Cheese’s restaurant in Dearborn over the weekend. Family members tell FOX 2 the woman was celebrating her grandson’s seventh birthday Sunday afternoon when she asked patrons at a nearby table to clean up their language. “She said, ‘please don’t use that language with children,’” said the victim’s daughter. “They told her to ‘shut the f— up and turn around.’” That’s when the daughter says a man jumped over tables and started swinging at people. “He punched her in the face and dragged her by her hair,” she added. The 50-year-old victim was taken to nearby Oakwood Hospital where family members say she underwent a CAT scan and was treated for lacerations to her face and mouth. FOX 2 has learned the family was refunded their money by restaurant management. The incident is the third time in recent months FOX 2 has reported violent encounters at different Chuck E. Cheese’s in the metro Detroit area. Dammit, Detroit! Source More On Bossip! Get Your Life Together: Friends Think “Little Miss Slizzard Slutshine” Rih Rih Needs Rehab Break Up To Make Up? Kanye West: The Anatomy Of A Twitter Spree

Have trouble connecting the dots on Kanye’s string of tweets? MTV News breaks it down. Kanye West Photo: Getty Images Kanye West has never had a shortage of ideas, and on Wednesday night into Thursday morning (January 5), the rap star spoke — or, rather, wrote — his mind on Twitter in a 91-message manifesto. ‘Ye, who is currently in London, went off on a gang of topics, including his women’s fashion line , the Grammys, his design dreams for the MTV Video Music Awards and the vision for his new 22-division company DONDA. Unorganized but informative, Yeezy put the string of tweets into context on his 39th post, writing: “This is just a train of thought .. but figure it’s better to read than trained thoughts.” If you had trouble following ‘Ye’s 24-hour stream of creative consciousness, don’t worry — MTV News has you covered with this breakdown: Wednesday, 1 p.m. A gracious Yeezy takes to Twitter to thank everyone for supporting his women’s fashion line , which he unveiled in Paris back in October. Two hours later, ‘Ye corrects reports that the line is called DW. Key Tweet : “The name of the line is Kanye West not DW… The Dw was a design element placed on the invite in homage to my mom : )” Wednesday, 7 p.m. With plenty of time lapses between tweets, no one could have guessed what West had in store in the hours to come. He clearly started off slow, quoting Da Vinci for his fourth tweet of the day. Key Tweet : ” ‘Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.’ – Leonardo Da Vinci” Wednesday, 9 p.m. This just in: Kanye West is without representation after Cara Lewis got her Jerry Maguire on. Key Tweet : “More clarity… I have no agency representing me currently… William Morris was fired after Cara lewis quit. I love Cara Lewis : )” Wednesday, 11 p.m. West picks up the action. Inspired by his fashion workspace, Yeezy talks about how challenging and fun it is to work on clothing designs. It’s been an eight-year journey for the Louis Vuitton Don, who turned down offers to do an urban clothing line in favor of something more upscale. How are his fashion endeavors funded, you ask? All the Kanye concert tickets you’ve bought, of course. Key Tweet: “I did the first fashion show out of my own pocket and used the money I made touring to follow my passion.” Wednesday, midnight ‘Ye goes on a tear during the midnight hour, sending a whopping 48 tweets. It was approximately 5 a.m. in London, and Kanye couldn’t sleep because his dreams kept him “woke.” And what dreams he has. The rapper recounts his days hopping from Japan to Rome to Paris, interning at Fendi, working with Louis Vuitton, being courted by Versace and designing his Air Yeezys for Nike. What, you thought West was a newbie to the fashion game? No, he learned how to design shoes at the Giuseppe Zanotti factory and broke bread with fashion luminaries like Azzedine Ala

WTF Was THAT: Kid Crudi Tries To Out “Runaway” Yeezy By Murking The French Language (And Some People) In New “Short Film”

If you’re a fan of HBO’s original programming, you already know that Kid Cudi likes to think he’s an actor and is actually tolerable in “How To Make It In America.” So, hyped up by the dozens of “Domingo” groupies who have probably entered his life, Crudi decided to make a movie. An artsy movie. With all original music. Where he doesn’t really say much, and what little he says is in no way, shape, or form intelligible. Sounds like something someone else did around this time last year, doesn’t it? There is one major difference between “Runaway” and “Maniac” though: while Kanye just chose to be criptic with the language, Cudi decided that he and his fellow American co-star Cage needed to speak entirely in French during the whole movie, which was shot in New York. Problem is, you don’t even have to speak French to know how HORRIBLE these two are at it. In any case, here you go: Kid Cudi’s “Maniac,” directed by Shia LaBoef. By the way: if you don’t like violent and bloody things (or you’re under 18) you shouldn’t watch this.

Anna Kournikova’s Tight Belly Flash

Here’s former half decent tennis player Anna Kournikova showing off her tight little body in a shot for Maxim magazine. Nice. Although I’ve seen her on The Biggest Loser and her weird Americanized accent completely ruins the whole thing. Chicks who sound like they can barely speak the language are hot. Sadly I’ve only got the one picture, which sucks on my part, but to make it up to you I’ve also got a video of Anna doing a little condom shopping. I know, kinda random. Enjoy.

‘The Thing’ Star Previews ‘Terrifying And Disgusting’ Prequel

‘There’s one [scene] in particular that stands out to me that’s just horrific,’ actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead says in our Fall Movie Preview. By Eric Ditzian Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Joel Edgerton in “The Thing” Photo: Kerry Hayes/Universal It’s a horror-movie question almost 30 years in the making: What the hell happened to the Norwegian researchers discovered toward the beginning of the 1982 John Carpenter cult fave “The Thing” ? Kurt Russell and his crew do end up stumbling into some terrifying answers, but Carpenter’s flick concentrates on the alien horrors the Americans endure. The 2011 fall movie season, however, is set to uncover what really happened before Russell touched down in the Antarctic, as director Matthijs van Heijningen Jr. delivers a prequel story, also called “The Thing,” to theaters on October 14. As part of MTV News’ Fall Movie Preview, we’re not only debuting an exclusive clip and photo from the horror flick about an alien able to mimic the likenesses of other life forms, but we sat down for a chat with star Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who plays a young researcher confronting the extraterrestrial danger. She spoke about the pressures of remaking a classic, the criticism from some corners about introducing a central female character to the action, and the challenges of reinventing an alien creature while staying true to its original form. MTV : What’s the bigger threat for you on set in Canada? Is it losing your voice from screaming all the time or losing your fingers from frostbite? Mary Elizabeth Winstead : I think it was fainting from nearly hyperventilating. That was the biggest thing. Also, by the end of it, we were shooting in the summer and we were acting like it was freezing cold and we were all in parkas and layers and layers of gloves and hats, and it was humid and hot outside. There was a lot of heat exhaustion setting in. It was kind of crazy — we had to act cold. I didn’t have to do a lot of screaming in this, which was good. It was just a lot of that kind of heavy breathing, where you’re trying to keep your composure and trying not to fall apart. It’s that really small, fast breathing and take, after take, after take of that kind of thing, you start to get lightheaded and start to get a little woozy. MTV : There are a lot of remakes and new takes on cult classics, and I think a lot of people feel, “I’m OK with it, if they get it right.” For you guys on set, was that sort of pressure on your minds? And do you think you did get it right? Winstead : There was definitely a lot of pressure, because everyone involved is a fan of the John Carpenter version. None of us wanted to mess it up and none of us wanted to sully the legend of the John Carpenter film. We wanted to add to it in a positive way, a fun way, and make something that could go hand in hand with that film. And that’s what we did. I think we made a film that’s a really great standalone film, but also something that’s really cool if you’re a fan of the John Carpenter version, just to get a little insight into what may have occurred before. I think it’s just a good movie regardless of how you feel about remakes and prequels and all of that. At least you can go see a good film and hopefully put that aside and just be there and go along for the ride. MTV : Since this is a prequel, we presumably know what’s going to happen at the end. How did you keep the suspense going? Winstead : I think that it’s exciting to wonder who is a Thing and who isn’t, and that’s really where the suspense lies. A lot of films in the genre, you kind of know it’s not gonna end up well. I don’t think anyone is really expecting a happy ending. But that kind of going along for the ride and being in the suspense of the moment is what’s really exciting. Our story is so great and it’s one that could be played out in so many scenarios, and I think with bringing in completely different characters from completely different backgrounds and countries brings a whole other level of paranoia. It takes it into a different direction, having this language barrier between the characters and having a lot of “us” vs. “them” between the Norwegians and the Americans and things like that was an interesting take on it, made it a not straight-up remake. And it was exciting to me to put a girl in the mix, which people have different opinions on it. But for me, that’s what differentiates it from the John Carpenter version in a big way and makes it a different film, makes it a unique film and one that stands on its own. MTV : What do you mean by different opinions? Do you think people are skeptical of a woman battling aliens? Winstead : I read a lot of comments, which kind of surprised me, to be honest, of people who were really upset that we would dare put a female in “The Thing” when the John Carpenter version was all men. I do think it was an interesting dynamic to see men, grown men, all living together and dealing with this paranoia and isolation. But I also think it’s interesting having a young woman thrown into the mix trying to take control of the situation where nobody trusts her opinion. It’s a very different and interesting dynamic and it’s not gonna be the same as the original version, but that’s what’s great about it to me. MTV : Anyone who’s seen Ellen Ripley [Sigourney Weaver in “Alien”] do her thing knows that a woman can take on an alien. Winstead : What’s cool about it, for this character, a lot of her strength lies in her intellect rather than her muscles. It’s not like one of those characters where I come in and act like I can kick everybody’s ass. It’s not realistic. All these guys are bigger than me, stronger than me. But my character has a really strong intellect, which gets her far in this film. MTV : So you didn’t have to hit the gym? Winstead : No, none of that, which was nice. MTV : How does this one build? How long before, you know, sh– gets bad? Winstead : It’s a definite slow burn, which is great. It makes it feel like a classic horror film. You really set up the characters and you really build the fear slowly, and once sh– hits the fan, it gets crazy and it doesn’t stop. It’s super-intense, the last half of the film. You just hold your breath and you don’t breathe again till the credits roll. That’s really great. The first part of the movie is really slow and foreboding, and you feel this slow dread building because you do know what’s coming. You know that something crazy and horrible is gonna happen to these people, but they don’t know it yet and kind of having that feeling as the audience is one that’s exciting and creepy and terrifying. MTV : Carpenter’s movie really was horrifying and just gross. Really gross. Are you guys taking the same angle? Winstead : The “assimilation scenes” are definitely terrifying and disgusting and just creepy as hell. There’s one in particular that stands out to me that’s just horrific. I can’t really describe it in too much detail because I don’t wanna give anything away. It just blows your mind. Just seeing it being filmed, because we have a lot of practical effects stuff there, which is great and kind of seeing the beginning of it on set was terrifying in itself and disgusting. They just took it to a whole new level, the stuff they added in postproduction. MTV : We get a glimpse of the creature in the trailer. Because it’s a prequel, do you guys have to stay very true to the first one or do you have room to play? Winstead : I think they definitely kept the John Carpenter version in mind when it came to the creature design. Definitely it is still that same world, but there is a somewhat new look to it and somewhat different take on it. It’s sort of the 2011 version, but still with that spirit of practical effects. It certainly doesn’t look exactly like the John Carpenter version. As awesome as those effects are, they are out of a certain period. And when you see that, you can kind of tell like, “Oh, those are really awesome ’80s effects.” So you can’t really go exactly for that. You have to bring a little of the modern element in to it too, but hopefully keeping that real tangible quality the ’80s effects had as well. Mila Kunis: I Had Butt Double in Movie, Was Scared To Show My Tiny Cakes On Screen

Mila Kunis reveals that those aren’t are cakes in new movie “Friends With Benefits”: Via Radaronline: Sorry guys, that super sexy butt you see in the movie Friends With Benefits doesn’t belong to Mila Kunis. The 27-year-old star of the upcoming film told Ryan Seacrest that she just wasn’t ready to show off her butt on film. “I showed side boob and I figured I can’t just give everything all away at once,” Mila said on 102.7 KIIS FM. “I gotta let it all out in little pieces here and there.” Starring in the romantic comedy with Justin Timberlake, Mila admitted that they hired a butt double for her nude scene. “These young ladies came in and they were in a casting room, the director and the casting director and my makeup artists and these lovely women had to show us their derrière and we chose the one that resembled my body the most without looking like it is fake.” Hmmm…that booty of hers isn’t much to write home about anyway, so….

When Pigs Fly: NFL Player Reps Reportedly Meeting Monday To End This Shady Lockout

Seems like this NFL Lockout situation will never be resolved… ESPN has upped the language and certainty of their report that says the process to end the lockout will start with a vote Monday. No longer is a meeting between the NFLPA* executive committee “expected.” Now the players have bought tickets and are flying in Sunday for a Monday meeting. No longer are there a few minor points left to figure out. Adam Schefter reports the two sides “have reached agreement” on the remaining issues. “Despite the fact the new deal will require a majority vote from the players, that part of the deal between the two sides is considered a formality, according to sources,” Schefter writes. The timeline we laid out last night remains. While it’s not official, some teams could potentially report to their team facilities Wednesday. The two sides would hope to have enough players officially vote to open free agency and training camp next Saturday. These dates remain subject to tweaking, but the report of an agreement apparently does not. We’ll believe it when we see it. Source
