Justin Bieber Enlists Kanye West, Drake For Next Album

He also reveals to Capital FM that the project will be called Believe and should be out ‘very soon.’ By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber Photo: MTV News Justin Bieber may be less than a week away from the release of his holiday album, Under the Mistletoe, but he’s already thinking about his next project. We know it will be heavily influenced by another Justin — Mr. Timberlake — and now we’re learning a bit more about it. In an interview with Capital FM , Bieber said he’s getting some high-profile folks to work on tracks for the album. “Very soon [it’ll be released], after my Christmas album,” JB revealed. “It’s going to be coming out. It is called Believe. I’m working with a lot of cool people. I’m working with Kanye [West]. Drake is going to work on the album with me.” It’s hardly the first time Bieber has been in the mix with Drake and Kanye. Bieber recently put his spin on Drake’s “Trust Issues,” and while Drake wishes JB had left the track uncensored , he had high praise for his fellow Canadian. “He’s like a talented kid … from Canada, so to hear him even remix that song is crazy,” he said. “That’s incredible.” Plus, let’s not forget that Kanye remixed Bieber’s track, “Runaway Love,” just last year. “He’s such a cool guy, and he’s just really laid-back and just nice, and at the end of the day, he’s just a nice person,” Bieber said at the time about the MC. Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, chatted with Billboard about the upcoming album, which he said will include tracks mostly written by Bieber himself. “He’s pretty adamant about writing a lot of [the album],” Braun said. “And he played me some stuff that he’s been doing on his own. He wrote this amazing song that sounds like a Jodeci record. I’m really excited for him. This kid can sing his ass off. He’s coming into his own.” When we spoke with Bieber earlier this year, he said he really wanted to be the main producer on the record. “[I’m] writing about how I feel and producing. I’ve been producing on my laptop and on my computer,” he said. “I’ve been really into it and, hopefully, this next album will be huge.” What are you expecting from Justin’s next album? Steve Jobs Made Computing An ‘Emotional Experience’

‘Geeks always felt empowered with new technology … but he was able to bring that experience to everyone,’ one tech blogger tells MTV News. By Gil Kaufman Steve Jobs Photo: Getty Images For tech bloggers and digital gearheads, Apple co-founder Steve Jobs was Yoda, Gandalf, Dumbledore and the ultimate dungeon master rolled into one. The tech guru, who died at age 56 on Wednesday after a long battle with pancreatic cancer, didn’t just make cool gadgets; he visioneered elegant, sculpture-like machines that made computing fun, exciting and effortless. Remember Steve Jobs’ many innovations by flipping through this photo gallery. “Steve Jobs was the first person who was able to turn computers and computing into an emotional experience for everyone,” said David Pescovitz, co-editor of BoingBoing and research director for the Institute for the Future. Pescovitz, who began a lifelong love affair with all things Apple more than 30 years ago in the basement of his Cincinnati home, where he would write rudimentary code on an Apple IIc, said the two crucial things Jobs did were to empower the individual with technology and create a new kind of technology experience. “Geeks always felt empowered with computers and new technology and it was always an emotional experience for them, but he was able to bring that experience to everyone.” Jobs, a notoriously detail-oriented taskmaster, demanded perfection from the legion of Apple employees who worked to create such landmark devices as the Macintosh computer, iPod, iPad and iPhone. Determined to break out of the bland, gray boxes produced by his rivals, Jobs brought that heart-touching experience to the masses by seamlessly weaving together technology, design elegance and engineering into devices Pescovitz said you wanted to “hold, touch and experience.” There were other MP3 players before the launch of the iPod in 2001, but John Gruber, an Apple enthusiast and founder of the technology blog Daring Fireball , said Jobs’ insight was making music personal again . “Your favorite music — all of it, with you everywhere you go,” he said of the devices that have become the standard-bearer for portable music storage. It’s easy to forget now thanks to the ubiquity of iTunes and the more than 10 billion songs sold since the store opened in 2003, but Eric Garland, CEO of leading online media metrix company Big Champagne , said for a time, the Apple boss was spurned by the major record labels. “It’s funny now to think of the notion of 99 cent downloads or paid downloads as an utterly noncontroversial one, but it’s hard to remember just how contrarian this play was eight or nine years ago,” Garland said. At a time when Garland was facing intense pressure from the record industry to stop seemingly “legitimizing and encouraging” music downloading (both legal and non) by measuring download numbers, he said Jobs seemed to be his only kindred spirit. “The most powerful people in the industry said, ‘This [downloading] has to stop and go away,’ and they intended to keep litigating it until people stopped downloading on the Internet.” While Garland admitted that he didn’t have the clout Jobs did in arguing that the genie was out of the bottle already, he recalls hearing from one executive after that music boss had been paid a personal visit by Jobs during the initial iTunes pitch. “He said to me, ‘Hey, you may be right,’ ” Garland said. ” ‘Steve Jobs was showing us this thing, and we think it’s the future of the business.’ And that was iTunes. Looking back, Jobs saw that this was not just the future of the music industry but, as has now been demonstrated, the future of all media and, in fact, connectivity among netizens.”Though the labels initially said no, Jobs persevered and Garland said that when people wonder how Apple was able to convince the labels to do a 180 on their position, the answer is simple. “He wouldn’t take no for an answer. It was the strength of Steve’s passion, persuasive gifts, persistence and personality that managed to change hearts and minds,” he said. President Obama, Nicki Minaj, Bill Gates and more remember Steve Jobs. Jobs’ unwillingness to compromise or settle until the design met his level of taste made the Apple CEO unique, but Gruber said it was his ability to give each of his new devices a unique purpose that really set Jobs apart from his peers. “Think about the dramatic shift from the personal computer being this beige thing on your desktop that you wanted to hide to something people treated as an objet d’art, that they admired like they would a finely designed chair or an Eames recliner,” Pescovitz added. “The reason the iPod did so well was because it was a product that told its own story. It beckoned to you to want to engage with it and interact with it. That came from the design and simplicity of it and the very idea that it would dramatically change your relationship to music.” Steve Jobs’ impact went way beyond computers. Check out his innovations in the film industry. And while the science fiction-like idea of having every song you ever owned in your pocket was forward-thinking enough, Pescovitz said a counterintuitive move Jobs made shortly after introducing the iPod made us rethink how we interact with our music all over again. “When he released the first iPod Shuffle [in 2005], people thought, ‘How could I use this without a screen?’ The point was to shuffle. You could fill it with several thousand songs and continually be surprised by the next song you heard.” The concept of putting your music on shuffle now is another part of our modern digital lexicon that Jobs almost singlehandedly invented, creating yet another new relationship between people and their music collections. And, with the recent addition of the iCloud to the Apple universe, Pescovitz said Jobs made the crucial leap that cybernauts have been waiting for since the Internet became a daily part of our lives. “The cloud plays against this notion that cyberspace is a place you go to through your laptop,” he said. “Cyberspace is overlay on top of existing reality. Media can and should be everywhere all the time. The kind of emotional experience that you’re able to achieve sitting at a desk or in front of your home stereo can now be achieved wherever you are. It drastically changes your relationship to media and the world.” Steve Jobs changed the world, but how did he change you? Tell us on Facebook. Related Photos The Steve Jobs Legacy

This is my first Bieber experience. Last friday afternoon,…

This is my first Bieber experience. Last friday afternoon, Justin posted on his Twitter that he was going to be in Atlanta. I live in Atlanta so I started freaking out! I found out he was going to be playing in a basketball game for charity about 40 minutes from where I live.  I clicked on the link thinking tickets were going to be like $100 or something. When I saw the tickets were only $10, I flipped! At first I thought it was a scam but I mean Ludacris AND Justin posted it so I was sure it wasn’t a scam. I ran downstairs screaming and told my mom everything! She said go get my laptop and she got me and her tickets! I immediately messaged my friend Courtney on Facebook and she was like NO WAY! She asked her mom and her mom got her a ticket as well. We went after church on Sunday to the game! We were so excited! We sang Justin Bieber songs the whole way there! When we got there, it was SUPER crowded! We saw Justin’s black cars so we were immediately freaking out! We got into the arena and were disappointed because we had to sit on the very very top row. We brought our signs (we were very lucky to have taken them in cause some got theirs taken away) Our sign said, “TEAM BIEBER” and “BIEBER FEVER” on the back. We also had a sparkly white one that said, “COME MEET US JUSTIN” and on the back “TEAM BIEBER”. We met some other Bieber fans and had a great time! We went down a little bit so we were only 30ft from Justin! We were screaming our lungs out! Justin waved at his fans twice! We screamed during a quite moment and he looked over at our signs and WAVED! We were not sure it was at us, but then we were FOR SURE when we went back to our seats and s ome girls said, “Did you see him wave at you” We were like OH SNAP! Anyways it was a great game! The score was 134- 132! WE WON! Justin went CRAZY! He was giving hugs to all his team members and took a picture with the $10,000 check they were giving to Ludacris’ charity. Then he left immediately. He didn’t come up to meet any of his fans (probably because there wasn’t a lot of security). SCOOTER BRAUN played a little in the game and we saw KENNY HAMILTON! We were freaking out! After the game we stayed in the arena thinking he would come back out but we just left because it was too crowded. We went outside and saw some of the basketball players leave and some girl told us he had already left and that there were some girls that chased his car. We ate the Swedish fish we were going to give him and left. We wished we could have met him but we were fine with just seeing him. Justin if you saw our signs please DM me! It would mean the world to me!! That game was the BEST $10 I  have EVER spent! – @EllieKearney Go here to read the rest: This is my first Bieber experience. Last friday afternoon,…

Joran van der Sloot Charged with Murder of Stephany Flores

Joran van der Sloot has been charged with murder. The Dutchman was arrested in June of 2010 after 21-year old Stephany Flores was found bludgeoned to death in his Lima hotel room. He now faces a 30-year jail sentence and would have to pay a restitution penalty of $73,000 to the victim’s family if found guilty. According to van der Sloot’s attorney, his client would claim temporary insanity and plead guilty in exchange for a less harsh sentence. van der Sloot allegedly killed Ramirez because she glanced at his laptop and discovered his connection to 18-year-old Natalee Holloway, who disappeared from Aruba in 2005 and who van der Sloot is rumored to have murdered. He was arrested twice for the crime, but never charged, and it remains unsolved.

Dharun Ravi Apology, Actions Criticized in Tyler Clementi Case

Dharun Ravi, 19, reportedly sent a text message in which he apologized to Tyler Clementi, his Rutgers University roommate, on September 22 of last year. Clementi had taken his own life 14 minutes earlier. Prosecutors think Ravi’s apology – sent after he learned he would be disciplined by Rutgers for using a webcam to film Clementi’s romantic encounter with a male friend – was just a cynical attempt to avoid punishment from the school. “This was just one of many attempts by [the] defendant to dilute, cover up and explain, in other words to tamper with facts and to fabricate evidence that could be looked on as favorable to him,” Middlesex County prosecutors said. Ravi is charged with 15 offenses, including bias and intimidation. Prosecutors were responding to a motion filed by Ravi’s attorney to dismiss the charges. The prosecution cited instant-message chats, other text messages and emails sent by both Clementi and Ravi as more than enough reason to proceed. In one email to his resident assistant, Clementi allegedly wrote: “I feel my privacy has been violated and I am extremely uncomfortable sharing a room with someone who would act in this wildly inappropriate manner.” In one chat, Dharun Ravi allegedly wrote: “What if I catch him with a dude in my room. I’ll have Jarvis [a talking computer software program he installed on his laptop] warn me if he tries to rape me at night.” Ravi is not charged with causing Clementi’s death. Prosecutors say Tyler Clementi’s suicide is actually not relevant to their case. Still, Ravi’s attorney wants documents about the suicide to be considered as possible evidence that Clementi may have been depressed prior to his death. He killed himself by jumping off NYC’s George Washington bridge in a tragedy that helped launch the campaign against bullying by many celebrities.

I’d been watching videos, looking at tweets and listening…

I’d been watching videos, looking at tweets and listening to songs all to do with Justin for over two years. Never ever did I think I would get to meet him, being from the UK and not America or Canada! But as Justin always says, NEVER SAY NEVER! It was Friday 3rd December and I was at home on my laptop when I noticed that a girl I knew had posted on the internet she was going to meet Justin on Sunday! Immediately I asked her how this was possible, she was really nice and told me where to get a ticket. My heart was going so fast and I was crying where I was panicking, quite sad I know! My mum was shouting at me racing to get the tickets. After about 10 minutes the ticket was brought and printed off. I was going to meet JUSTIN BIEBER!  Never did I think this day would come! As the tickets were courtesy of HMV I thought the event would be in a HMV store but what they failed to tell us was that the event was at a secret location, in Highbury over the other side of London. I hadn’t even heard of Highbury let alone the “Relentless Garage”. As I am under 16 I had to have an adult accompany me and my dad wasn’t best pleased when he found out where the event was but he said he WOULD take me as he knows how much I adore the Bieber.  All weekend I was buzzing, yet when it came to Sunday I couldn’t contain the excitement! I was on my own with my dad as friends didn’t mange to get tickets but I met some lovely girls in the queue and we managed for all of us to have a photo with Justin! It come to 5pm and we still wasn’t inside. Justin was 3 hours late and most of all I was frozen and I’d been waiting for 5 hours. It had been snowing the day before and I only had silly little vans on. But the time came about 5:30pm and they was letting us inside. I got my black wristband and waited inside the venue. Here they played ALL Justin’s songs like OLLG, ONE TIME AND SOMEBODY TO LOVE. Then a guy called “Black wristbands to queue”. A billion girls began screaming and ran to the railings- here we had to queue for our turn to go in with Justin! Two minutes later our group was let in and we approached a door. I was at the front and looked through to see JUSTIN BIEBER standing a few steps away! I shouted just totally fangirl’ed and with that girls swarmed in front! The security guard let us in the room and we approached Kenny, “Go on girls, groups of four or five” he said- me and my new friends rushed to Justin’s side. I stood to the right of him, the other girls surrounding.   “Hi hun”, he said. I couldn’t speak all I said was “Hiya”. One girl asked where to stand and he told her to “Crouch down in front”.  I just remember starring at his nose and hair. He was quite a bit taller than me and totally gorgeous. The whole 4 minutes I was with him I just zoned out and watched him, it was amazing. Me and Justin put our arms round each other and the photographer took the photo. Justin then stepped back and it was time for us to go. Kenny shuffled us along and I managed to just say, “Bye Justin thank you!”. Not a lot but just showed appreciation. My time with Justin wasn’t as long as many other girls around the world but it was perfect. So to all the girls and boys who dream to meet their inspiration, don’t give up. I never thought I’d meet the boy that I’d been staring at through a screen for the past 2 and a half years. But it happened so it can always happen to you! (That’s me in the check shirt) -Annie @anniebiebs See original here: I’d been watching videos, looking at tweets and listening…

The Top 10 Missy Elliott Videos That Made Us Wanna “Work It”

See the original post:

Missy Elliott is one of the most creative, barrier-breaking pioneers in not only hip-hop but female hip-hop, as well. Missy made it okay to be funny and creative and, somehow, sexy to walk around in trash bags and jogging suits. She broke the stereotype that you had to be physically fit or a size 2 to be able to dance with the best of them. Long story short, she made it okay to be yourself in the music industry. Missy’s ability to dance, sing, rap and write songs makes her certifiably a quadruple threat, topping any other female rapper in history as far I’m concerned. I urge you to do your stretches before pressing play on these videos because they are sure to have you leaving scratches on your hard wood floor from dancing. Amber Rose is extremely affected by the leak of her explicit nude pics. Wiz’ girl released the following statement: “I was gonna wait until my radio show to address this but I want to say this now. I trusted someone that worked 4 me & allowed them to use my laptop a million times, I caught this person sending my pics to themselves and I fired this person immediately Wiz [Khalifa] & I & both of our families have known about this for 2 months now. We tried to prepare ourselves for this day. Those pictures r 2 1/2 years old just sitting in my computer. I’m really hurt & embarrassed because I have so many young girls that look up to me. I would never put those pics out of myself.” “The company that I was working with no longer wants to work with me because of these pics and that prevents me from getting money to take care of my family. Its a messed up situation when someone so evil comes into ur life and tries to destroy it. I know I’m not the only girl in the world that has taken pics like that but they were very private. I’m sorry for letting my young Rosebuds down. Pls understand this was a result of trusting a person that didn’t deserve my trust. I have cried for the past 2 days but I know this to shall pass. My name is Izabela. I have always been a belieber and I always…

My name is Izabela. I have always been a belieber and I always had a dream. It was to actually meet and get an autograph or a picture with my number one idol: Justin Bieber. Not until a couple days ago (June 23 2011) after all these years of trying to, I finally met him. I have always been entering contests and every opportunity that I had to meet him, I tried to accomplish it. But sadly not one gave me a chance, except for Jingle Ball 2011. I begged my parents for about a month or so to actually get a chance to go, and I even gave up tv and my laptop for a week. Honestly, the only reason why I wanted to go to Jingle Ball so badly was because Justin Bieber would be there. Once I got to Jingle Ball I saved my batteries on my camera until I saw Justin Bieber, although he was last to perform I didn’t mind. I saw him and that’s all that actually counted. Once Justin Bieber came up on stage to perform I was probably the most enthusiastic out of all the fans there, I was screaming, shouting, singing every song, and I even let out a little tear. From then on I was the happiest anyone can be. Then I heard about his My World Tour at Madison Square Garden, but I was in Europe at that time with my grandparents. The year after that (June, 21 and 22, 2011) I heard about winning Meet and Greet Tickets for Justin Bieber at Macy’s on Z100 but of course no hope. On June 22 2011, I heard about him being on the Today Show. I got my group of friends and we planned everything out. The next morning I woke up an hour late but nothing stopped me from going. I briskly got dressed at ran to the train station. Finally June,23, 2011 he came out to the screaming crowd and I was there. Standing behind the barriers to meet him, I was waiting impatiently until he came up to me. My heart stopped for a few minutes and I don’t even remember him signing my paper, and I let out the first few words, “Can I please have a picture with you”  and he just stood there and took a breathe and said “Sure” with a smile. My heart dropped, and I felt sort of bad because he was so tired and every girl was begging for something. One thing I do regret is not asking for a hug, but it’s okay, I’ll wait until next time!  Excerpt from: My name is Izabela. I have always been a belieber and I always…
