‘Hills’ Fans Want Lauren Conrad Back, Speidi Breakup In Final Season

Fans agree that Heidi ‘can do a lot better’ than Spencer; ‘The Hills: Final Season’ premieres April 27 on MTV. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Joel Hanek Lauren Conrad Photo: Getty Images While Kristin Cavallari and Lo Bosworth have weighed in on what they want to see happen in the final season of “The Hills,” premiering April 27, it seems that fans have two very specific ideas for what they want to see in the final 12 episodes: Lauren Conrad needs to return, and Speidi need to break up. “I’d like to see more drama between the castmembers and new locations,” Shelby told MTV News, with her friend Julia adding, “I’d also like to see Heidi and Lauren. … If they’re friends anymore or if they, like, get into a big, huge catfight.” It seems that getting LC to return is pretty high on most “Hills” fans’ wish lists. “I would like to see Lauren come back on the show,” Ally said. “She’s my favorite. She’s so cute and pretty and sweet. That’s pretty much all I would really, really want to happen.” Olivia added: “I’d still like to know what she’s up to.” And while a lot of fans want LC back, other fans want Speidi to go their separate ways. “Heidi and Spencer [should] break up,” Holly and her pal Charity agreed. “I don’t really like it. She can do better.” Meredith explained why she’d like to see the show’s most infamous pair call it quits: “I think Heidi and Spencer should break up because he’s a jerk.” “I think she can do a lot better,” Erin added. “I think he’s making her do a lot of bad things.” Chantelle had the perfect way to make all the fans happy: “Lauren needs to come back and maybe have a little affair with Spencer,” she proposed. ‘The Hills’ Stars Reveal What They’d Like To See On Final Season

By Jocelyn Vena Kristen Cavallari Photo: MTV News Now that it’s been announced that the new season of “The Hills” will be its last , some of the show’s stars are discussing what they’d like to see happen in the final 12 episodes, kicking off April 27. Will Lauren Conrad come back? Will Kristin Cavallari stir up some more relationship trouble? Will Speidi finally start a family? It seems like anything is possible as the cast bids a fond farewell. “I’ve had the best time,” Cavallari told MTV News about her return to reality TV at the season-finale party in December. So what does she foresee happening in the new season? “In two weeks, so much can go on. Already, it’s like night and day to what’s happen[ed]. So I have no idea. In the ‘Hills’ world, so much can happen in one day, so I have no idea.” Castmate Lo Bosworth, who entered the reality-TV world alongside Cavallari on “Laguna Beach,” said she’d like to see a little less drama for the show’s final season, though it feels like that might be an impossible dream. “I wish for a happier season next time,” she said in December. “I would like a little return to normalcy, actually, sort of like previous seasons. It was a little more — not naive, but had more charm to it, just ’cause we didn’t really know what we were doing.” And while last season was Lauren Conrad-free after she left the show to pursue other interests, does her bestie Lo ever think she might make a cameo? “Highly doubtful,” she said. “I think she’s very content.” What do you want to see happen in the show’s last season? Casey Reinhardt to Star in New Reality Show

Casey Reinhardt, the sister of Paris Hilton’s beau Doug Reinhardt and best known as the blonde girl on Laguna Beach not named Kristin Cavallari or Lauren Conrad , is getting her own reality show on E!, with Doug serving as producer. Got all that? According to reports, Doug is envisioning a Kardashian-style show for Casey Reinhardt and her girlfriends, in which he and Paris Hilton will also appear periodically. Why would E! possibly go for this? Insiders say the network hopes for wedding bells between Paris and Doug, which could deliver a big ratings bonanza similar to Khloe Kardashian’s tearful nuptials. Would you watch a Casey Reinhardt reality show? Over 3.2 million viewers tuned in last November to see Khloe marry Lamar Odom. E! hopes that Paris Hilton can pull in that many, or at least in the same ballpark. An inside source told the N.Y. Post , “Doug and Paris will also appear on the show, and executives hope that an engagement will happen in the next six months.” Hey, she’s already dropping hints . Reinhardt’s agent, Greg Weiss, confirmed, “Doug is producing the show, which will star his sister and her friends. But he and Paris will also make appearances.” As for Casey, the show’s supposed star? She’s a former beauty queen who’s a student at Pepperdine University and is working on her own cosmetics line. Jason Wahler Sprung From Mexican Jail Cell, Then Arrested Again For DUI Back in the U.S.

DMX had better watch his back. Former Laguna Beach and Hills star Jason Wahler was arrested last week for allegedly driving under the influence, having just been sprung from jail in Mexico! Newport Beach, Calif., police say Wahler was nabbed for driving a 2008 Chevy Tahoe while intoxicated. Hilariously, he described himself to police as “an actor.” He was released under his own recognizance. You may recall Wahler was arrested in Cabo San Lucas , Mexico and held there earlier this month after a bar fight. As for how he got back to the U.S., that remains shrouded in mystery. The U.S. Consulate is, for whatever reason, kept the reason for his release on the DL. Until he gets arrested, we always forget about him too . Jason Wahler was cuffed a week ago Thursday and thrown in the slammer after getting in a fight, yet no record of Jason was found during calls to various jails. The Consulate says he was released seven hours after being locked up after the ex of Lauren Conrad signed a document keeping the terms of his release secret. Who knew you could even do that, it’s news to us, and You have to wonder what he did to secure his release. You gotta love Mexico. According to Wahler’s father, no charges were filed against his son in Mexico. As for the Newport Beach DUI, he’s not likely to be let off with any secret bribe.

Goin’ Rogue Again: Sarah Palin to Pen Second Book

Sarah Palin’s memoir, Going Rogue , hit bookshelves and best-seller lists last fall. Then again, Lauren Conrad topped the N.Y. Times best-seller list too. Just sayin’. In any event, you betcha, the former Alaska governor will be runnin’ it back after HarperCollins announced today that it will publish a second book from Palin. If nothing else, the new book will help solidify Palin as the most high-profile failed V.P. candidate and not-even-one-term governor in modern American history. The currently untitled book is not a sequel to Going Rogue , per se, but in keeping with her memoir, it will be a “celebration of American virtues and strengths.” It will include excerpts chosen from and about people who have inspired her. Levi Johnston , Seth MacFarlane and David Letterman will team up on the prologue. AN AMERICAN LIFE : Sarah Palin sure is cashing in on hers! No wonder Sarah’s publicist quit – she gets PR 24/7 as it is. Whether it’s berating Family Guy , producing random documentaries , appearing on The Tonight Show , punditing away on Fox News or hypocritically trying to milk Bristol Palin and her teen mom status, Palin has become a media constant. Her latest book should keep fueling that trend, regardless of whether it serves as a prelude to a presidential run in 2012 (publicly, she’s still hedging on that topic). What do y’all think? Sarah Palin to Produce Alaska Documentary

The other night, Jay Leno asked Sarah Palin if she had any future TV plans, and she joked that she heard his position opens up every once in awhile. Well it turns out she already has a TV plan of sorts. The former Alaska Governor and Survivor creator Mark Burnett are shopping a new docudrama. Seriously. The TV project features a “planet-Earth-type look” at her home state of Alaska. We have no idea what that means, but it sounds … cool? We’ll assume it refers to the acclaimed Discovery Channel series Planet Earth . Which has sort of already done what they’re describing if so. Anyway. So much Sarah Palin on TV. Not enough hours in the day. Palin and Burnett had a meeting with Fox honchos yesterday, and are talking with ABC and CBS today and NBC Universal tomorrow. So this is legit. Whitney Port turns 25 today. Happy birthday, girl! Ever since we first got to know Whitney on The Hills , she’s been a favorite of THG’s. There’s a lot to love about the sweet, genuine, expressive SoCal cutie. While she began her reality TV career as BFF and co-worker of Lauren Conrad , she soon moved on to her own show, The City , chronicling her move to NYC. There, Whitney Port only endeared herself to us more, even if some of the men (Freddie Fackelmayer) and friends (Roxy Olin) in her life are exasperating. We look forward to watching her life and fashion career continue to evolve, and can’t wait for the new season of her hit series. Happy birthday, Whitney! Johnny Depp Draws New Attention To West Memphis Three

Actor will appear on ’48 Hours Mystery,’ urging authorities to re-examine the trio’s murder convictions. By Ryan J. Downey Johnny Depp Photo: Soul Brother/FilmMagic Johnny Depp added his name to the long list of celebrities and activists calling for authorities to re-examine the convictions of the West Memphis Three, a trio of young men convicted nearly two decades ago of murdering three children in West Memphis, Arkansas. The often press-shy actor will appear in a pre-taped interview on CBS’ “48 Hours Mystery” on Saturday. “I firmly believe Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley are totally innocent,” Depp said, according to a New York Post report. “It was a need for swift justice to placate the community. Damien Echols is on death row to be killed by lethal injection.” The “48 Hours” episode will discuss new DNA evidence and alleged juror misconduct that could potentially clear the West Memphis Three, according to the report. After the gruesome beating deaths of three 8-year-old boys shocked the small Southern town, many activists believe authorities rushed to convict the West Memphis Three based more on the trio’s dark clothing and love of heavy metal than facts. The sensational trial, conviction and aftermath — which has divided the community and the world at large for more than 16 years — were documented in a pair of acclaimed films by directors Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky: “Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills” and “Paradise Lost 2: Revelations.” The pair went on to make “Metallica: Some Kind of Monster” after the band provided music to their West Memphis Three documentaries. Depp and Metallica are joined in their support for the West Memphis Three by Eddie Vedder, Winona Ryder, Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks and Henry Rollins, who organized a benefit album for the trio a few years ago, to name a few. Last month, Demi Lovato offered her support via Twitter , writing: “Can everyone just take a second to read this please www.wm3.org a truly worthy cause. Show your support!!” followed by , “FREE THE WEST MEMPHIS THREE!!! :(.” Echols, Baldwin and Misskelley were teenagers at the time of their convictions. The verdicts have continuously been challenged through legal channels, but they all remain in prison, with Echols on death row. Many believe that circumstantial evidence seemed to point to other potential suspects.
