Amanda Seyfried Continues To Disappoint

I was hoping that Amanda Seyfried would sex it up little more when she heads out, the last time we had her on the site she was dropping some boxes off at goodwill for crying out loud, and now she’s walking around looking like this? This is not how you’re going to get noticed in Hollywood. Sadly, I can’t stop posting pictures of her doing nothing. I guess my feelings for her are a lot stronger than I thought, I must be in love. That can’t be right, I haven’t even seen her big sweater muffins yet.

Avril Lavigne Rocks Out In 3-D For ‘What The Hell’

‘It felt like you were live in a crowd,’ she tells MTV News of video’s special effects. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Kelly Marino Avril Lavigne Photo: MTV News Avril Lavigne is back , and she’s asking “What the Hell” on the lead single off her March 8 release, Goodbye Lullaby. In the video , which premiered on Sunday, she’s pursued around town by a guy whose affections she doesn’t seem to value quite as much as her own freedom to do what she pleases. The clip also has another dimension to it: It was shot in 3-D. When MTV News caught up with Lavigne to talk about the song, she was excited about the high-tech project. “The music video’s in 3-D, and my favorite part of the video is the rock-out scene at the end where I jump onstage and I’m with my band,” she said. “When we shot it and I got to watch it back in 3-D with the glasses and actually you can see the crowd’s hands, and it felt like you were live in a crowd, so it was kind of cool.” The song and the album are Lavigne’s return to the music spotlight. In the years since she released The Best Damn Thing in 2007, the 26-year-old had a high-profile divorce from Sum-41’s Deryck Whibley, battled her record label and found love again with former “Hills” star Brody Jenner. The album, she explains, reflects all that growing up. “[It’s] about saying goodbye to something sweet and familiar and taking a step forward and opening a new chapter in your life,” she explained. “This album overall is kind of bittersweet. It’s full of sad and happy emotions. The message overall is about moving forward and coming out of that and finding inner strength. The record’s a little more raw. It’s a more emotional record, and you can really feel that. I went for those raw, vulnerable moments, but having ‘What the Hell’ be the first single is more like my older stuff. It’s a good way to bridge it.” What do you think of the “What the Hell” video? Let us know in the comments! Related Videos MTV News Extended Play: Avril Lavigne Related Artists Avril Lavigne

Avril Lavigne ‘Really Excited To Be Back’ With ‘What The Hell’

Song’s 3-D video will premiere Sunday. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Kelly Marino Avril Lavigne Photo: MTV News Avril Lavigne is as bratty as ever on her new single, the catchy, almost bubbly “What the Hell.” The lead single off Lavigne’s upcoming release, Goodbye Lullaby , due March 8, has not only been burning up the iTunes charts, but it’s also gotten some Twitter love from Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. “I’m just really excited to be back,” the former teen star told MTV News. “It’s been a few years, and I’m excited to see that ‘What the Hell’ [is] doing good so far on iTunes and [with] the fans. The response has been really great, so I’m happy.” The song also just had an impressive debut on the Billboard charts , landing at #6 on the Digital Songs chart, beating Kanye West and Jay-Z’s new song, “H.A.M.” This Sunday, fans will finally get the chance to see the clip for the video when it debuts on ABC Family. “The music video for ‘What the Hell’: It’s kind of a guy chasing me around, and I hop into a random cab, and he’s chasing me,” Lavigne explained. “And I go through a clothing store and he chases me, but at the end of the video, it’s really just me having a bunch of fun with him, and he’s my boyfriend, so I like him in the end.” The video is special because it was shot in 3-D. “The music video’s in 3-D, and my favorite part of the video is the rock-out scene at the end where I jump onstage and I’m with my band,” she said. “When we shot it and I got to watch it back in 3-D with the glasses and actually you can see the crowd’s hands and it felt like you were live in a crowd, so it was kind of cool.” Are you a fan of “What the Hell”? Avril Lavigne Says ‘What The Hell’ With Infectious New Single

Video for first song from upcoming album coming soon. By Gil Kaufman Cover art for Avril Lavigne’s single “What the Hell” Photo: Sony Music Entertainment The wait is finally over, and all Avril Lavigne can say is: “What the Hell.” That’s the name of the first single from Lavigne’s upcoming fourth studio album, Goodbye Lullaby, which is due March 8. The singer has been vocal about how long she’s had to wait to get new music to her fans, and on the first salvo from the disc, you can almost taste her pent-up emotions. Opening with a bouncy retro keyboard riff reminiscent of garage revivalists the Hives and some power-poppy handclaps, the song has the rousing cheerleader energy of some of Lavigne’s catchiest hits. It also sounds like a declaration of independence from a former teen star who is storming back onto the scene after her first significant friction with her label and in the wake of a public divorce from ex-husband Deryck Whibley of Sum-41. “You say that I’m messing with your head/ All ’cause I was making out with your friend,” she sings in the opening lines amid a flurry of “yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah” backing chants. “Love hurts whether it’s right or wrong/ I can’t stop, ’cause I’m having too much fun.” The chorus explodes with a rush of big guitars and beats as she lets loose with the battle cry, “All my life I’ve been good, but now I’m thinkin’, ‘What the hell?’/ All I want to is to mess around, and I don’t really care about/ If you love me, if you hate me, you can’t save me, baby, baby/ All my life I’ve been good and now, what the hell?” Though Lavigne has been linked to Brody Jenner — and the pair have gotten matching tattoos — she revels in her freedom in the second verse, singing, “So what if I go out on a million dates?/ You never call or listen to me anyway.” The song got its live debut on “Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve” and fans got a chance to download it for free for 48 hours after that through Lavigne’s Facebook page. Its infectious groove and peppy vibe are reminiscent of some of the Canadian singer’s previous hits, most notably “Girlfriend.” And while it may sound familiar to fans, Lavigne promised that the song’s energy is not necessarily indicative of the rest of the material on the disc, which she described as a “departure” from her earlier work . “This album is different. … I’m older now, so I think that comes across in my music. It’s not as pop-rock, and it’s a little more mellow and it’s deep,” Lavigne told MTV News in November. “But my first single is very ‘up’ and pop-rock. The first single is very much like my older stuff, but the rest of the album is a departure.” Lullaby features production by Whibley; the singer’s former guitarist, Evan Taubenfeld; and frequent collaborator Butch Walker, as well as songwriter/producer to the stars Max Martin (Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson), who co-wrote the first single. Avril Lavigne Needs Women’s Clothing

Here’s Avril Lavigne out the other day running a few errands with her man servant. I’m just assuming that’s her man servant because he’s got a haircut like a Tibetan monk, he’s walking six feet behind her and he’s carrying all her bags like a good man servant should. Anyhow, Avril’s trying to work her little punk rock princess look like she’s still a teenager, but she’s something like thirty years old now and it’s beginning to look a little played. Short short and some heels will remedy the situation pretty quick.

Avril Lavigne Is Looking A Little Rundown

Divorce seems to have really taken it’s toll on Avril Lavigne , what happened to the hot little punk princess we used to love so much? Here she is at the American Music Awards looking a little like she’s on the hunt for her next bag of glue. I don’t really want to say that she looks like a junky, but I watch a lot of Intervention on A&E and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this chick before. Alright, I’ve just reviewed all the pictures and it’s only in a few of them that she looks like her teeth are going to fall out and her skin is crawling. Verdict: Probably not a junky. Case closed.

Avril Lavigne Experimenting With Hip-Hop, Alex Da Kid Reveals

‘It’s a mixture of pop/rock and what I do,’ producer says of new album. By James Dinh Avril Lavigne Photo: Todd Williamson/ Getty Images When Avril Lavigne splashed onto the scene eight years ago, the punk princess fueled her angsty, rebellious image with a pop-rock sound that had fans hooked. On her new album, the singer is ready to push her musical boundaries by mixing her signature sound with hip-hop elements, according to producer Alex Da Kid. “It’s a mixture of pop/rock and what I do,” the “Love the Way You Lie” hitmaker told Rap-Up TV . “We’ve got some things that are hip-hop leaning, and we’ve got some things that are more pop/rock leaning, so it’s what we both do just kind of combined into one thing.” The British producer explained that the songstress had her label reach out to him after hearing B.o.B and Hayley Williams’ mega-hit “Airplanes.” As hinted in the letter Lavigne posted on her website to her fans this past week, Alex suggested that the singer has experienced some hardships with her record label when it comes to the release of the yet-to-be-titled album. “I’m not sure what’s going on with the album, just because she’s been working on this album for a long time,” he said. “So I think there’s a lot of stuff going on politically and behind the scenes. “I really liked working with her,” he added. “She’s really cool and down to earth. It was a good experience.” He recalled their drunk studio sessions, but kept tight-lipped about other track details, saying, “We’re working it all out, so it’s probably too early to talk about it.” While he might not know exactly when the LP will drop, Alex knows all too well about fans’ pleas for new Avril Lavigne material. “Her fans hit me up on Twitter every day about ‘When’s the album coming out?’ ‘When’s the single coming out?’ so I know there’s a big demand for it,” he said. “Hopefully, it’ll be out soon, and we’ll see what happens.” Are you excited for Avril’s new album?
