Jane Doe Said She Was In Shock And A State Of Denial Depending on where you stand, some new information about the Derrick Rose case either looks really good or really terrible. TMZ found a police report Jane Doe filed after the incident where it’s alleged Derrick Rose and his friends gang raped the young lady. The problem? The police report wasn’t filed until two YEARS afterward. Granted, it’s not unusual for women who’ve been raped to take a while to walk through the legal procedures. Unfortunately, some might look at this as a ploy for that young lady to try and get one over on the former Chicago Bulls player. via TMZ The accuser in the Derrick Rose rape case filed a police report with the LAPD two years after the alleged incident … after she had already sued the NBA star in civil court … TMZ Sports has learned. We broke the story … a woman identified as Jane Doe is suing Rose for more than $20 MILLION, claiming he and friends gang raped her in 2013 after a night of partying. The obvious question … why didn’t she go straight to police? We asked her attorney, Brandon Anand, who says there’s a perfectly logical explanation. “She was scared and didn’t know what happened. She was in a state of shock and denial.” Doe filed her lawsuit in August 2015. Law enforcement sources confirm she filed her police report AFTER she filed her lawsuit. Anand says he can explain that too … the statute of limitations on civil suits was winding down and they wanted to file the lawsuit before time ran out. After that, they filed the police report. We’re told Doe tried to reach a settlement with Rose before she took legal action — “but [Rose] didn’t acknowledge any wrongdoing,” so she decided to get the authorities involved. The civil trial is set to begin in October. The criminal investigation is ongoing. We reached out to Rose for comment. So far, no word back. What do you make of this new information? We're not sure what to believe about Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna at this point. On one hand, the couple is covering the latest issue of People Magazine , gushing over each other and looking totally in love. Then, on the other hands, they are fighting, yelling at each other and questioning their future as a couple. WHICH IS THE TRUTH?!? Evidence that all is not peaches, cream and roses inside the Chyna and Rob relationship is on full display in the following trailer for Rob & Chyna. With the premiere of this program set for September 11, E! has given us our first extended look at what's on tap. And it isn't pretty. Well, some of it is pretty, such as when we get a glimpse of some serious bikini Twerking at one point. But a bulk of this preview features Rob and Chyna at each other's throats. “Yo, who is hittin' your phone over and over?” Rob asks Chyna as he looks through her cell phone in one scene. As you can imagine, she does not react very kindly to this invasion of privacy. “Why do you wanna keep going through my phone like you don't trust me?” the pregnant star asks her fiancé. “I just don't get why you even care!” Rob responds. Later on, Chyna screamed at her impending baby daddy, asking Rob why the heck he is still “texting bitches.” From there, we get talk about Depression with a capital D, as Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner both try to offer some expertise on their loved one and his relationship. Chyna also receives a talking-to, which results in may tears being shed by the reality star. In another scene, Scott Disick gets all profound. In another scene, Rob and Chyna enjoy family time with her son, King Cairo. And in another scene, the couple visits Chyna's old strip club. The promo ends with Chyna asking Rob a very important question: “You really wanna spend the rest of your life with me?” What does he say? Will these two make it? Will you tune in to find out? Okay, so maybe Luke Pell isn’t taking the whole Bachelor casting snub thing very well after all… On Tuesday night, ABC stunned viewers by passing over Pell (the presumed favorite) in favor of Nick Viall as the next Bachelor . Starting this spring with new episodes of the reality series, Viall will be given his fourth shot to find contrived love, following a pair of runner-up finishes on The Bachelorette and his current gig on Bachelor in Paradise. The selection came as a shock to those who watch The Bachelor online and who follow this franchise closely. At first, however, Pell seemed to take the rejection in stride. Just consider the following meme and message: “Thanks for all the love and support over the past few months, sometimes in life we are faced with unexpected changes,” Pell wrote on Instagram. A tad bit extreme, considering this “unexpected challenge” and this reference to God having a plan in centered on anchoring The Bachelor? Some might say. But it at least proven that Pell was handling the surprising selection very well. Now, however, Pell has come out and told Us Weekly that he was closer than folks could have possibly imagined to being named The Bachelor. And then it was taken away from him. “We were all satisfied, had agreed to the contracts and everything was moving forward,” Pell explains to Us Weekly . “I was checked in to my flight to come to L.A. I got a call from producers Sunday night at about 10 p.m. They said ABC had decided to quote-unquote go in a different direction. “I was supposed to fly out Monday morning at 9 a.m. I had my bags packed and everything.” And the Winner is? ABC executives have admitted that Viall was chosen at the last minute, but we didn’t realize it really was at the very last minute. According to Pell, far more than just an airline ticket had been purchased. “We had planned for intro filming and had planned to have my sister come on for a date and give advice as part of the show,” he says of how far into negotiations he got with the network. “I met with the wardrobe guys. Everything was moving forward. Everyone on the production level was expecting it to be me, as well.” Is Pell bitter over the way things went? Yes, clearly. Sort of at least. But he’s an alum of West Point. He’s come to “accept the decision,” he says, pointing to his military background in his response. “From all my years in the military, I’ve learned that some things are out of my control,” he told Us Weekly, adding: “I put it in the past, and I’m moving forward. It was a huge surprise, but the element of surprise and unexpected decisions is what the show thrives off of.” That’s very true. And puts it in perspective. Compared to some of the things he’s seen, done and prepared for in service to our country, this setback is pretty minor. Plus, he’s got his whole life ahead of him, reality TV or not. Would he do The Bachelor some time down the line if asked? Probably not at this point. For now, Pell is home in Nashville, Tenn., and says he’s focused on being “an entrepreneur and a songwriter.” He’s also still focused on finding a wife. It has been proven in a court of law that Jared Fogle participated in a child pornography ring. A little over a year ago, in July of 2015, the former Subway spokesman had his home raided by federal agents, with evidence eventually leading to 14 charges of sex solicitation from minors. In legal documents, Fogle was accused of traveling between Indiana and New York City in order to pay for sex with a multitude of teenage girls between 2010 and 2013. In November, Fogle was sentenced to 15 years in prison , with his attorneys trying to argue (in his favor, mind you) that Fogle was only guilty of “mild pedophilia.” That may be the biggest oxymoron since the term “plastic silverware” or “clothed Kim Kardashian.” In other words: Jared Fogle is a terrible human being. There is no denying this fact. Yet, incredibly, Jared Fogle managed to plummet to a new low this week. RUN, Miss Piggy and Kermit! Run away as far from Fogle as you can! Fogle has actually gone ahead and filed a federal complaint against the parents of an alleged victim who sued the ex-Subway pitchman after he supposedly received secret recordings of her changing her clothes and bathing. Yes, as part of Fogle’s sordid history, he paid for videos and photos of young teenagers in states of undress. Last March, parents of one of these teenagers filed a lawsuit against Fogle for emotional distress. They are seeking $150,000 in damages. In the lawsuit, the parents allege that Russell Taylor – the former head of Fogle’s charity – secretly filmed their underage daughter and other kids while they were changing clothes and bathing at Taylor’s house. He then passed along the footage to Fogle. In a motion filed Thursday, however, Fogle tried to turn the legal tables. He argued that the girl’s parents “through their actions, caused or significantly contributed to the injuries and damages alleged by Jane Doe in her Complaint against the Defendants.” Fogle isn’t denying his heinous actions here. He’s just having the balls to say the parents deserve blame for messing up their child, the one he grossly and illegally ogled. View Slideshow: 20 Celebrities You Probably Want to Keep Away From Your Children Fogle claims the parents were responsible for their daughter’s depression, anxiety and emotional distress due to their “hateful and abusive relationship toward each other, which included, but was not limited to, engaging in frequent fighting and arguing between themselves; abusing alcohol and getting drunk; and engaging in frequent fighting, physical abuse, and arguing with Jane Doe.” He also says these parents’ abuse and neglect caused their daughter’s alcohol and substance abuse, self-mutilation and suicidal thoughts. Earlier this summer, Fogle tried to argue that he isn’t that disgusting of a person. In an attempt to reduce his prison sentence, he filed a document with the U.S. Court of Appeals that claimed he only child porn to one person while in a hotel room. So, come on, he basically said! Give me a break! Fortunately, the judge wasn’t hearing it. A former student who impregnated a high school teacher was awarded $6 million in a settlement, officials in Redlands, Calif., confirmed. Vince Finaldi, an attorney for the former student, said the egregious conduct of the Redlands Unified School District warranted the payment. “The size of this settlement represents the gravity of the damage done to this young victim and his family,” he said in a statement. “It also highlights the extreme malfeasance and neglect by school officials who turned a blind eye to the criminal conduct of a teacher.” Administrators, he reiterated, “failed to protect a student.” Laura Whitehurst , 29, was arrested in July 2013 and charged with 41 felony counts of unlawful sex acts. Yes. Forty-one felony charges. That could have meant up to 29 years in prison. Ultimately, she pleaded guilty to four counts of unlawful sexual intercourse and two counts of oral copulation with a person under 18. Her sexual dalliances involved three boys at Citrus Valley and Redlands high schools during her tenure as a teacher in both locations. As part of a plea bargain in which she admitted having the student’s baby , she was sentenced to a year in jail and released after six months. On probation, she is a registered sex offender. Laura Whitehurst shares custody of the love child with the former high school student, who is now 21, according to the victim’s attorneys. In the lawsuit, attorneys for the student alleged that school officials knew of his romance with Whitehurst and failed to warn his family. Teacher Pleads Guilty To Having Sex With Students The lawsuit also claimed that a colleague of Whitehurst’s was aware of the relationship and that school officials questioned her about it. Despite the huge payment, district officials said they were admitting no wrongdoing by settling the lawsuit, blaming Whitehurst alone. Spokesman Tom DeLapp said the district is “not pleased with this” but settled “this tragic case once and for all so we can move forward.” “We felt there could be serious damage to the reputation of a very fine school district” if the legal case were to be drawn out, he added. Throwing a bit of shade, he said they ended this before “the plaintiff’s lawyers were allowed to drag the [school] through the mud all over again.” “In the long run, $6 million is high, but it could have been much higher if this had been left to an empathetic jury in another city.” DeLapp feared a jury “looking past the facts” to find a “financial scapegoat for the unprofessional, criminal actions of one individual.” He cited the explosion of media attention, noting “there was a picture of her in the birthing suite circulated to people at the school with the boy.” View Slideshow: 24 Teachers 2 Hot 4 Students The former student who fathered Laura Whitehurst’s baby said the relationship started in 2012 when he was 16 and lasted for a year. He told authorities Whitehurst began driving him home from school functions and spending long hours with him away from the school. On a trip to Disneyland, she grabbed his hand and told him she wanted to kiss him, and shortly after the trip, things escalated. Hard. She and the boy began having repeated sexual intercourse at her apartment, he said, and Whitehurst gave birth to their child in June 2013. The boy was in attendance for the birth. He said later that Whitehurst gave him alcohol and told him it was a “miracle pregnancy” as she did not believe she could get pregnant. Tupac Film “All Eyez On Me” Pushed Back Due To Music Publishing Battle We’ve all been waiting patiently to see if the upcoming Tupac flick , All Eyez On Me, is going to be any good. But according to TMZ , if some legalities don’t get worked out first, we may never know… One of the songs prominently featured in the Benny Boom-directed film is ‘Pac’s famous “Ambitionz Az A Ridah”. Problem is, Tha Dog Pound’s Daz Dillinger claims to own the rights to the song and BMG publishing ALSO claims to own those rights. The movie was originally scheduled to release in September and has now been pushed back to November to give both parties time to squash the beef. The negotiation could get a bit tense however, Daz recently sued BMG earlier this year for $75,000 in royalties that he believes he is owed.
