San Francisco 49ers Lineman Ray McDonald To Sue Woman Wrongly Accusing Him Of Sex Assault Can’t think of many things more despicable than lying on a man for rape… Via NYDailyNews NFL defensive lineman Ray McDonald, released by the 49ers in December in the wake of sexual assault allegations against him, will sue the woman who accused him of rape. McDonald confirmed the lawsuit Monday in an interview with ESPN, claiming the accusations that have yet to lead to formal charges cost him his job with the 49ers and have prevented him from finding a new team. “I am not this bad person that people are making me out to be,” McDonald said. “I’ve been fired from my job. I know some teams don’t even want to talk to me because of this past accusation. All I am trying to do is clear my name and move on with my life.” McDonald’s lawyer, Steve M. DeFilippi, issued a statement to the San Jose Mercury News claiming that video from his client’s home-surveillance system shows the accuser having “clearly consensual” sex with McDonald in his hot tub on the night of the alleged attack. Prosecutors haven’t filed charges against McDonald, but the case must be officially dropped in order for the 30-year-old veteran to regain elegibility to play in the NFL. Says his lawyer: “In the eyes of the NFL teams, the unresolved threat of charges being filed against him, even though factually unfounded, continues to present a roadblock to this remarkable athlete being able to move forward in his career,” DeFilippi’s statement read. “This lawsuit is intended to vindicate him … and return his good name.” The lawsuit alleges that McDonald’s accuser had sex “several times” with him on Dec. 13 but then went to police to cover up her actions by giving a false story that would easily be believed given the atmosphere of negative publicity surrounding disgraced NFL players like Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson and Greg Hardy. Must be 2 sides… That’s a radically different version of the events than the one given by the woman, who alleges that McDonald sexually assaulting her after she hit her head on the ground. She claims to have woken up naked in McDonald’s bed the next day with no recollection of what happened and got him to tell her that they had sex. McDonald, who had two domestic violence calls to his house last year, hasn’t said how much money in damages he’s seeking from the lawsuit, other than to confirm that amount is higher then the $25,000 minimum set by the court. Therese Serignese says Cosby drugged and raped her in 1976, and Linda Traitz alleges he tried to drug her and then sexually groped her in 1970. The latter two women joined the suit after it was filed, and together, the women all argue that Cosby has branded them as liars through his representatives. They are seeking an unspecified amount of money for compensatory and punitive damages, and perhaps just as importantly, to make their case publicly. Their lawyers have also claimed that the civil action allows the women to have their allegations heard since criminal statutes of limitation have expired. Cosby has denied wrongdoing and hasn’t been charged with a crime. He has, however, axed or postponed more than 12 shows on his comedy tour amid allegations by numerous women that he sexually abused them. His team’s statement that it will ask for the lawsuit’s dismissal came in a status update filed jointly by Cosby’s lawyers and lawyers for the three women. The sides have been in talks this month to resolve a number of issues related to the lawsuit, according to the filing, even though they have yet to settle it. Cosby’s motion to dismiss will deal with “any issues that by that time have not been resolved through conference” between the sides, says the brief. Lawyers for the accusers would have until March 20 to file a reply to the motion to dismiss. Cosby’s lawyers would then have until April 8 to respond to that. More than two dozen women have made similar claims against Cosby, although these three and Chloe Goins are among the few to pursue legal options. Black Man Sues After St.Louis Cop Turns Off Dashcam Before Brutally Beating Him During Arrest We’re barely 2 months into 2015 and there’s already been a slew of brutality incidents between black men and police officers across the country. via USA Today ST. LOUIS — A man has filed a lawsuit against the city’s police department after a dash cam video showing his arrest was turned off by an officer. The man arrested, Cortez Bufford, is claiming excessive force. St. Louis police say they pulled over Bufford and a passenger on April 10, 2014, after his car matched a description to a shots fired call. Police say they tried to get him out of the car, but he did not comply. You can hear a man screaming and see a struggle ensue in the police dash cam video. A few officers kick Bufford as he continues to fight back, then an officer uses a taser on him. They are on the ground for nearly two minutes when you hear an officer say, “we are red right now,” which means the camera is on, and then the camera shuts off. “Hold up, everybody hold up, we are red right now, so if you guys are worried about the cameras just wait,” the unidentified officer said. Bufford’s attorney said there was no reason for the police to pull over his client, and no reason for officers to kick him. Bufford was charged with resisting arrest, along with drug and gun possession, but those charges were later dropped. Stay woke and be safe, Bossip fam. Unarmed Black Carpenter Shot 8 Times By Police Awarded $2.5 Million In Settlement via Contra Costa Times The state of California agreed Tuesday to pay $2.5 million to settle an excessive-force lawsuit filed by an African-American carpenter who was shot at least eight times by a white CHP rookie during a traffic stop. The state offered the settlement on the first day of trial in federal court, after the officer who shot James Henry Ligon Jr. in 2012 testified that Ligon stepped out of his car and charged directly at him, shouting threats. The problem with CHP officer Joe Lafauci’s account was it did not match the physical evidence in the case, said Ligon’s lawyers, Jaime Leanos and Nelson McElmurry. Ligon was shot four times in the back, suggesting he was not coming at the officer. “Officer Lafauci immediately went for his gun, unlike his more experienced partner, who got out of the patrol car without even taking out his gun,” just his Taser, McElmurry said. Lafauci had only 14 months on the job when he emptied his service pistol of 12 rounds, at least eight of which hit Ligon. Ligon, now 37, said he had stepped out of his car after leading the CHP on a high-speed chase for three miles because he couldn’t hear what the officers were yelling and to show them he was unarmed. Details surrounding what led to the high speed chase reveal that Mr. Ligon was suspected of drunk driving at the time of the incident. According to Sunnyvale police, which investigated Ligon’s shooting, Lafauci and fellow CHP officer Cory Walczak tried to stop Ligon in a gold Toyota Corolla about 1:30 a.m. on southbound Highway 101 near Ellis Street, suspecting he was driving drunk. It was later determined he had an estimated blood-alcohol level of .25-.32, at least three times above the legal limit of .08. He was on probation at the time for possession of mushrooms for sale. Ligon did not pull over and instead drove onto city streets in Sunnyvale for about three miles to the 200 block of Alturas Avenue, near where his mother lived. He was driving her car and did not want it to be impounded, Leanos said. Ligon pleaded no contest to felony evading and misdemeanor DUI charges, after prosecutors dropped a felony resisting arrest charge. This case serves as a great example for how these types of incidents SHOULD be handled. No one is advocating that people breaking the law should get off scott-free (drunk driving and evading police is certainly a punishable offense) however, police officers shooting to kill should NEVER be the first course of action without consequence when a suspect makes it clear that he is unarmed.

This man must have a script he really needs put on the screen… Tyler Perry Files Protective Order, Lawsuit Against Alleged Stalker One of Tyler Perry’s employees wanted a one-on-one meeting with the mogul so badly that he refused to take no for an answer …allegedly crawling his way through Tyler’s studios via a suspended ceiling and barricading himself in an administrative office. Via AJC.com : A reputed stalker seems to have put a fright into movie mogul Tyler Perry right before Halloween. Perry filed for a protective order Monday in Fulton County Superior Court against Joshua Sole, 27, of Dunwoody, who was booked into the county jail Friday for criminal trespass at Tyler Perry Studios. Sole is trying to intimidate him, Perry says in the lawsuit. Sole had tried to contact Perry Thursday with no success, the lawsuit said. He apparently was so determined to get a face-to-face with the movie makerthat the lawsuit said he disengaged the power to disable the alarms and surveillance equipment at the studio in southwest Atlanta. Then he climbed into the studio through a suspended ceiling, the lawsuit said. Atlanta Police said they got a call about an intruder at the Tyler Perry Studio about 6 p.m. Thursday. When officers arrived, the head of security said an “employee Joshua Sole has been acting weird” and had barricaded himself in a room where the administrative offices were located, according to the incident report. At the time, the security chief was puzzled by how Sole had gained access to the room. It took police more than four hours to get Sole into custody. He was booked into Fulton County jail Friday early Friday morning. Perry is asking the court to ban Sole from coming within 500 feet of him, and to compel Sole to undergo psychological evaluation and treatment as well as pay Perry at least $100,000. The studio executive will let a jury decide if he deserves more compensation, the lawsuit said. The lawsuit doesn’t say whether Perry fired Sole or in what capacity he was employed. Perry says he is entitled to the money because of the “discomfort and annoyance caused by the diminished value of peaceful enjoyment” he gets from the property, according to the lawsuit. It is unclear why Sole wanted to talk to Perry. Attempts to reach Sole were unsuccessful. Uhhh…did Tyler pay this man enough to really expect $100k or more out of him?
