It’s back to school time and you know what that means. Your very vulnerable freshman daughter is being exposed to all kinds of dangerous situations and misogyny. Such as the scenario painted by this SMU chant which was part of a freshman week event that pretty much promotes underage forced sex … Here’s more info via CTV News : Student orientation leaders at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax will undergo sensitivity training after some of them were captured on video chanting about non-consensual sex with underage girls. In the video taken during frosh week activities and posted on Instagram, both male and female student leaders can be seen taking part in what a university spokesperson called a “sexist and offensive” chant. “SMU boys, we like them young,” the students can be heard singing at the start of the video. The chant includes the phrases: “Y is for your sister,” “U is for underage,” and “N is for no consent.” It was performed by student leaders in front of about 300 first-year-students on Monday. “This is a disappointing, discouraging and, quite frankly, an offensive video and we’re, I guess, taken aback,” Keith Hotchkiss, SMU’s senior director of student services, told CTV Atlantic. Jared Perry, the president of the university’s student association, which organizes frosh week activities, has apologized. “We’re sorry this went through,” he said. “Now we’re looking forward into the future and the chant will never take place again. We’ll be educating our leaders.” SMU spokesperson Steve Proctor told The Canadian Press that a less sexist version of the chant has been performed on campus in the past. St. Mary’s University Student Association President Jared Perry says he feels terrible and an investigation will be launched into the incident. Merrill Lynch Ordered To Pay $160 Million To Black Brokers In Lawsuit Settlement 700 African-American brokers who filed a racial bias lawsuit against Wall Street brokerage firm giant Merrill Lynch after learning that many of their clients were likely to prefer to deal only with white brokers, among other racially biased things, will be awarded $160 million in settlement funds. via NY Times Merrill Lynch, one of the biggest brokerage firms on Wall Street, has agreed to pay $160 million to settle a racial bias lawsuit that wound through the federal courts for eight years, including two appeals to the United States Supreme Court. When the suit was first filed in 2005, only about one of every 75 brokers at Merrill was black and most of them were considered poor producers. The lead plaintiff, George McReynolds, contended that black brokers received little help from their managers early on and were often ostracized by co-workers. The unequal treatment compounded their disadvantages year after year, he contended. Among the many twists in the case was the admission in a deposition by Merrill’s first black chief executive, E. Stanley O’Neal, that black brokers might have a harder time because most of the firm’s prospective clients were white and might not trust their wealth to brokers who were not. The payout in the suit, which was filed on behalf of 700 black brokers who worked for Merrill, would be the largest sum ever distributed to plaintiffs in a racial discrimination suit against an American employer. Man Has Forced Sex With Wife According to Mail Online A Silicon Valley real estate magnate has been accused of putting a spiked dog collar and leash on his pregnant wife before chaining her to the bed at gunpoint for two days and having forced sex with her with a golf putter. Details of the alleged horrific incident emerged in court this week during 74-year-old Clyde Berg’s preliminary hearing on charges of corporal injury of a spouse and sexual penetration by force. His Swedish wife Ellena Berg, 37, was found bloodied and bound in the couple’s San Jose home last year when she was nine-months pregnant and told police her elderly husband outfitted her with the leash and chained her to the bed while sexually assaulting her with the golf club. Berg is not the father of her child. She took the stand yesterday at Santa Clara County Hall of Justice to present her version of events to a judge who must now decide if there is enough evidence to hold Berg over for trial. The real estate magnate – who is worth $200 million – vehemently denies the charges and claims he’s the victim of a scam to get around a restrictive prenuptial agreement. He faces 15 years to life in prison. During her testimony yesterday, Ellena shocked the court by refusing to answer to key questions – one about a night in 2010 when she was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and how her two previous pregnancies ended. The San Jose Mercury News reported that when the 37-year-old said, ‘I refuse to answer that’, in response to one of the questions, the judge’s eyes widened. The Swedish native has claimed in a 43-page civil suit that the incident capped off ten years of physical and sexual abuse at the hands of her husband. The divorce papers state that Clyde Berg wielded his considerable power against her like ‘a weapon of mass destruction’ and claim she lived in virtual isolation ‘as a slave’ in fear of his unpredictable physical and sexual abuse. She said he made her drink out of a dog’s water bowl and dunked her head in the toilet after she vomited from morning sickness. There have already been doubts raised about her account of what happened on the night of September 4 after gynecological reports that arguably show Ellena Berg did not sustain the degree of sexual abuse she claims and questions were raised as to how she was able to call 911 while her hands were cuffed behind her back. Clyde Berg is the brother and business partner of billionaire Carl Berg, one of the richest people in the United States. Ellena Berg has also obtained a restraining order against Clyde Berg and has custody of Rudy, the couple’s beloved Weimaraner, whom she claimed was also abused by her estranged husband. She is his third wife. You would think with all that money, he could pay to “talk to someone” before going batisht crazy.

Kanye, time to give up those coins. Kanye Sued For Attacking Photographer At LAX Kanye beat the criminal case, but he’s about to get robbed ski-mask style. According to TMZ Kanye West left an innocent photog in crutches after a brutal assault at LAX last month — when Kanye attempted to wrestle away the pap’s camera — so says the photog himself, and now he’s filed a lawsuit against the rapper. Daniel Ramos appeared with his lawyer Gloria Allred at a news conference Wednesday, where Gloria announced the lawsuit for assault, battery, and interference with Daniel’s civil rights (in this case free speech). Daniel — who called himself a “filmmaker” — says he spent two weeks on crutches after the attack, and has been walking with a cane for some time. He says he’s still in pain. Gloria argued the attack sets a dangerous precedent for celebrity-on-photog violence, especially now that various celebs are actually celebrating unprovoked attacks on photogs. Gloria says she’s also asking the court to issue a restraining order against Kanye. Ramos is suing for unspecified damages. Kanye has to learn to not let these dudes get to him.
