Williams and promoter Live Nation are on the receiving end of a class action lawsuit filed by Brian Herline on behalf of everyone who went to see the comedian “perform” on November 16. According to the lawsuit — filed on the day before Thanksgiving in Alameda County, CA — Katt’s show ended after just 10 minutes … but not before he “confronted a heckler, took his clothes off, and attempted to fight at least three audience members.” The suit is seeking unspecified damages for “Katt Williams’ non-performance.” Williams has been stringing together one bizarre appearance after another as of late and was actually arrested in Oakland just two days before the show in question. Beyonce can’t dance away from a $100 million lawsuit this time around… Gaming Company Sues Beyonce Beyonce is performing at the Super Bowl halftime show next year, and there’s also a good chance she’ll appear in a New York court soon after for a potential jury trial . Via Hollywood Reporter : According to Gate Five Gaming, it had developed a technology that was better than the motion-driven video games on the market, that would track a far wider range of body movements than Nintendo’s Wii, and the game technology was presented to representatives for top-selling artists including Lady Gaga and the Black Eyed Peas, who purportedly expressed interest. Ultimately, the company signed a deal with Beyonce, but the contract had a termination clause requiring certain financing by a certain date or else the singer could back out. Gate Five alleges that it spent $6.7 million on the game and had a financier lined up to provide $19.2 million in financing when Beyonce exercised her termination rights, “the hundreds of millions of dollars in profits that Gate Five could have realized if she had honored the Agreement,” according to the lawsuit. According to the ruling, issues of fact remain as to whether Beyonce intended to forgo her right to terminate the licensing agreement. The appeals court points to the record showing that she never objected to the loan as it was closing. This lawsuit has been going on for a over a year. BeyBey might want to think about settling because putting folks out of work and flaking out of work is definitely not a good look for her public image.

According to TMZ : Halle Berry just lost big in court — a judge has ruled she cannot permanently move her 4-year-old daughter to France … TMZ has learned. Halle had been fighting tooth and nail with her baby daddy Gabriel Aubry to bring Nahla to Paris, where Halle wants to live with her fiance Olivier Martinez. Halle argued the L.A. paparazzi scene made life in California too dangerous for her and her daughter — but today the judge in the case ruled in favor of Gabriel, refusing to let Halle jet to France with their kid. The full details of the ruling are unclear — but one thing’s for sure … Halle did NOT get what she wanted. Halle has said from the beginning she never wanted to remove Gabriel from Nahla’s life — she merely believed France would be safer for everyone involved. This piece of isht doesn’t even have an argument to make in court … According to NBC News : DeMarco Myles, 19, wrote down his first name and cell phone number for a 19-year-old Howard University student after he allegedly raped her in her room at Bethune annex, an all-women’s dorm, Friday afternoon. Police tracked the number to a Fourth Street NW address where Myles lives with his mother and arrested him. The first attack took place in a Rhode Island Row apartment Oct. 26 in Northeast D.C. The victim, a 24-year-old consultant, was working from home when she got a knock at the door about 2 p.m. by a man who said he was promoting a party. He forced his way in to her apartment before allegedly trying to kill her. She said she screamed at the top of her lungs and fought back as he kicked and beat her and stabbed her at least 25 times. The Howard student told police the suspect appeared in her room and made casual conversation about 1:15 p.m. Friday, one week after the first attack. She told him to get out, but he didn’t. She began texting a friend, and the suspect pulled out brass knuckles with a purple blade, grabbed the victim’s phone, texted the victim’s friend and then raped the victim, according to court documents. Then he allegedly wrote the note, saying, “Since you don’t know me, here’s my number.” He tried to cross out the phone number, according to court documents, but detectives were able to read it. A man matching Myles’s description entered other rooms at Bethune but left when asked, detectives learned. Myles told detectives that the sex with the Howard student was consensual, but he admitted forcing his way in to the Rhode Island Row apartment and stabbing her after she resisted, according to court documents. He asked detectives if she survived, saying he didn’t mean to kill anyone. Thoughts go out to the victim and we can only hope this disgusting kid gets a reality check in prison soon!! Images via nbc
Must have been pretty brutal to pop one of those hard a$$ tiddays… Texas Woman Sues Police Over Ruptured Breast Implant During Arrest Via NBCDFW A North Texas woman who says a Pantego police officer caused her breast implants to rupture during an arrest is suing the town. Rebecca Van Hooser said the officer threw her against her car when he arrested her during a traffic stop on Bowen Road. The Pantego officer pulled her over on a headlight violation and arrested her after learning she had a warrant for an unpaid speeding ticket. “She gets out of the car, [the officer] grabs her, throws her against the car, spreads her legs — kicks — spreads her legs and grabs her arms and forcefully pulls them out and yanks them very hard behind her back,” said her attorney, Susan Hutchison. Hutchison said throwing Van Hooser against the car caused her breast implant to burst. “She’s screaming in pain, and his response is, ‘This isn’t supposed to be comfortable,’” Hutchison said. Apparently, the rupture has led to many other problems for Van Hooser. Her attorney said the rupture has led to health problems. “She’s had a number of surgeries,” Hutchison said. “She had two hematomas as a result, and she’s going to have to have a partial mastectomy, tissue transplant and a new implant.” Hutchison said the lawsuit is not just about her client’s medical problems. “We respect police officers,” she said. “We’re glad they’re out there protecting us. When you arm someone with a gun and a badge and the authority that they have over people, you’ve got to train them appropriately, and they have got to be able to react reasonably and responsibly.”

New York Man Sues Church For $3 Million Over Amputated Leg Via ABCNews After Delia Jimenez was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2008, her husband, David, often prayed before a large stone crucifix outside St. Patrick’s Church in Newburgh, N.Y. Devout Catholics, the couple credited Delia Jimenez’s recovery in 2010 to her husband’s fervent praying. They were so grateful that his wife asked the parish priest, Blady Socualaya, if her husband could clean the cross to show his gratitude. He said yes. On Memorial Day of the year of his wife’s recovery, Jimenez began to scrub the 600-pound marble crucifix when it became unhinged, toppled on him and crushed his right leg, his lawyer, Kevin Kitson, told ABC News. He was rushed to Westchester Medical Center, where his leg had been so badly mangled it had to be amputated. Jimenez, a Mexican immigrant, spent more than a month in the hospital, ratcheting up hundreds of thousands in medical bills. Kitson told ABC News that Jimenez had no health insurance and that the bills were paid by charitable trusts. According to Kitson, the statue had been inadequately anchored to the base. ”Somebody should have said, ‘Don’t go climbing up there, because we don’t know if it’s safe.’” Since losing his leg, Jimenez, a 45-year-old father of three who worked at a bakery and pizzeria, has been unable to work. Although the parishioners collected $7,700 worth of donations for his family, the Archdiocese of New York’s insurance company, Catholic Mutual Group, declined to offer Jimenez any kind of settlement, Kitson said. Catholic Mutual did not respond to calls from ABC News, but Frank Raia, a lawyer with Rivkin Radler, which represents St. Patrick’s Church, told ABC News that “The Archdiocese of New York and St. Patrick’s Church understand and recognize that this was a terrible accident. However, it is their position that they are not liable for the happening of the accident.” Jimenez has filed a $3 million negligence lawsuit against the Archdiocese. According to TMZ , Allred’s mission to a Boston courthouse tomorrow has to do with a very high-profile court case that Mittens was involved in! Mitt Romney was heavily involved in the extremely messy divorce of one of his key supporters … and the Boston Globe is going to court first thing Wednesday morning in an attempt to unseal the court file as well as lift a gag order … TMZ has learned. The divorce was between Staples co-founder Tom Stemberg and his first wife Maureen. We’re told the divorce battle lasted for years and was extremely ugly. Sources tell us Romney gave both a deposition in the divorce and testified in the trial. According to our sources, the Boston Globe got a tip that there was “juicy information about Romney” in the sealed documents. Romney, Stemberg and Maureen were all served papers by the Globe notifying them that the paper was trying to unseal the case and lift the gag order enforced on all parties. According to an article in the Boston Globe in 2005, Maureen received nearly 500,000 shares of Staples stock in the divorce … but sold half her shares before the company went public. Our sources say Tom has filed papers opposing the Globe’s motion. Romney’s lawyers have not responded. Tom has been a major Romney supporter, even speaking for five minutes at the Republican National Convention.We’re told Gloria Allred represents someone connected with the divorce and we believe — though we have not confirmed it — that is Maureen. If the gag order is lifted, Maureen and others could freely talk about the divorce … less than two weeks before the election. We’re pretty sure Wddnesday is going to be a huge day in news. Former manager Sam Lufti claims the pop princess went the bald route to cover up her junkie ways… Via NY Post reports : Britney Spears didn’t shave her head in a fit of rage — she did it so there would be no way to trace her drug use, a lawyer for her former manager claimed in court. Joseph Schleimer opened Sam Lutfi’s libel case against Spears’ parents and conservators by showing dramatic photos of the pop superstar with a shaved head and striking an SUV with an umbrella. Schleimer suggested to the LA jury that Spears was afraid a judge would order a test of her hair. If drugs were found, the judge could take away her two sons and give custody to ex-husband Kevin Federline. Schleimer claimed Lutfi tried to save the meth-addled Spears from a mental breakdown but lost control — and was blamed for her being hospitalized and placed under a court-ordered conservator. During a break when the jury was not present, Superior Court Judge Suzanne Bruguera warned Schleimer that his bold claims had to be supported by evidence. Schleimer said he would prove them through either “testimony or documentary evidence.” He told the jury that one of the first things he did when he was hired as Spears’ manager was to have drug-sniffing dogs scour her hilltop home — and they found crystal meth in a trap door. Spears almost certainly won’t testify because she remains under a conservatorship overseen by a judge who has ordered her not to appear for trial or a deposition. But Spears’ parents, Jamie and Lynne, both sat in the audience. Yesterday, a lawyer for Jamie told jurors his client went to heroic lengths to save Britney from drug addiction and mental illness. Lutfi agreed to work for Spears in July 2007 for 15 percent of her earnings — but only if she stayed away from drugs, his lawyer said. The court case is the culmination of a long-running battle between Lutfi and Spears’ parents. He is seeking millions of dollars from Spears and her family, claiming her mother’s 2008 book, “Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World,” lied about him drugging and isolating the pop star. He is also seeking a portion of the singer’s profits, claiming he was a key player in her 2007 album “Blackout.” Yikes… But meth is such a trashy drug. Britney did sing “Toxic”… Via TMZ reports : Britney Spears took a huge amount of amphetamines the night she was strapped to a stretcher and placed on a 5150 hold — so claims Sam Lutfi’s lawyer in the opening statements of his defamation case. Lutfi’s lawyer, Joseph Schleimer, told the jury, on January 28, 2008, Britney had an amphetamine script filled. Schleimer says she took 6 to 8 pills early in the day, and several more later and went off the rails. Lutfi’s lawyer also said he tried to get Britney to meet with a psychiatrist 2 days before she was 5150′d, but Brit refused. And there’s this … during Britney’s disastrous appearance on the MTV Awards in 2007, Lutfi felt she was such a mess she shouldn’t do it, because she was overweight and didn’t rehearse, but Britney wouldn’t hear it. As shady as this Sam character is, he seems to make some valid points. It’s obvious she was going through some serious drug/mental issues during this time, but if she was so messed up how is she competent enough to sign a contract making him her manager?
