There It Go: Juelz Santana Released To His Mama On $500K Bond After Airport Gun & Drug Arrest

Savenok/Getty Images for Spotify) Troubled Rapper Fighting For His Freedom After Drug & Gun Bust At NJ Airport After nearly a month in federal lockup, Juelz Santana is finally a free man. A New Jersey federal court judge agreed to release Juelz on $500,000 bond after his mother put up her northern New Jersey house, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office told BOSSIP. Although he’s no longer in federal jail, Juelz – whose real name is Laron James – has to adhere to a slew of strict conditions or risk going back behind bars. The “There It Go” rapper is essentially on house arrest. He’s under “24 hour home confinement” and can only leave his mom’s place to go to the doctor or to attend court. Under no circumstances can he record music at his studio or perform at shows, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office told BOSSIP. It was not clear Friday when he would be released. As of 4 p.m. he was still in custody. Juelz has been locked up since last month after TSA agents found a loaded .38 caliber pistol and eight oxycodone pills in his carry on luggage. Last week, we exclusively revealed that the Essex County Prosecutors Office agreed to drop the state level drug and weapons possession charges in order to let the feds prosecute the case. WENN Singer Apparently Evading Warrant For Allegedly Sexually Violating Woman He is wanted on charges that he raped a woman in Georgia earlier this month. But it appears that singer Bobby V. is taking his sweet time when it comes to turning himself in for the shocking alleged crime, BOSSIP has learned. Bobby V. – who was born Bobby Wilson – is wanted in Cobb County, Ga. for rape after an unnamed woman filed a police report March 19, alleging that the artist raped her the day before. However, nearly two weeks later, the “Slow Down” singer has yet to clear things up with local law enforcement, who told BOSSIP that as of Wednesday, Bobby still hadn’t turned himself in, and was not in custody. Bobby’s rep has denied the rape complaint and said the alleged victim is motivated by money. Meanwhile, the former “Mista” member seems to be hiding in plain sight and living a normal life in his native Georgia. One witness told BOSSIP they spotted the singer working out at an Atlanta-area gym.

Exclusive: DMX’s Lawyer Begs For Mercy Ahead Of $1.7 Million Tax Fraud Sentencing

DMX Rapper To Be Sentenced In Tax Evasion Case This Week DMX’s lawyer has begged for mercy from the judge as the rapper prepares to be sentenced in his $1.7 million tax fraud case, BOSSIP has learned. DMX’s lawyer Murray Richman wrote a letter to the court – which was obtained by BOSSIP – where he spelled out a ton of alternatives to prison time, like monitored restitution and even a stint in former NBA star Jayson Williams’ rehab center. Richman also cited X’s terrible childhood as the main reason why he couldn’t keep his nose clean, and said that the rapper didn’t really have a grasp on what taxes were. “We discussed his perception of taxes and he said ‘I grew up on welfare,” Richman’s letter says. “‘In my neighborhood on the first of the month, the mailman was robbed (because that’s when the checks came in). What do I know about taxes?’” The feds said DMX knowingly withheld paying taxes for years , and owes some $1.7 million to Uncle Sam. The rapper has been locked up since January after repeatedly failing sobriety tests, according to court papers. Federal prosecutors have asked the judge to make an example out of X and throw him in prison for five years. Instead of prison time, Richman suggested “trusteeship” as one possible choice as part of DMX’s sentencing, and said from now on, the government could garnish his future contracts into an escrow fund that would allow him to pay his back taxes, support his children and “to insure that he is paid by unscrupulous people as what has emerged as a definitive pattern of at best mismanagement and at worst larceny,” Richman wrote the judge. Earl Gibson III/Getty Images Ulysses Wilkerson Family Filing Civil Suit The family of an Alabama teen that was hospitalized after being beaten by police is filing a civil suit with help from a famed attorney. As previously reported the four police officers who were investigated for using “physical force to subdue” Ulysses Wilkerson on December 23 will not face criminal charges. What they still can face however is a civil suit and attorney Benjamin Crump famous for representing Trayvon Martin’s family, is joining in the fight. The Dothan Eagle reports that Attorney Crump, as well as Attorney Dustin Fowler and Attorney Steve Etheredge, are representing Wilkerson and a civil suit is on the way. “All I can say at this time is that we will proceed with litigation and we are moving forward with the civil suit,” said Dothan attorney Dustin Fowler, part of a legal team retained by the family of Ulysses KeAndre Wilkerson. We hope that the civil suit will prove to fair better for the family than the criminal investigation. There’s no way police should be allowed to do THIS to a teenager and not face some sort of repercussions.

Call Toni: Birdman’s Refusal To Pay Lil Wayne His Cash Money May Land Him In Jail For Tax Evasion

Lil Wayne is asking Birdman to either show exactly what he earned off Cash Money/Young Money between 2011 and now, or admit to evadinghis tax payer duties. The Blast reports that Wayne has asked the judge to sanction his play dad for refusing to turn over documents pertaining to the earnings of Drake and Nicki Minaj. He says Birdman turned on over 100,000 pages of junk papers that doesn’t show important facts needed in the case. Here’s exactly how it went down according to reports. On February 21, Wayne filed a motion to compel production of documents in his years-long $50 million-dollar lawsuit against Birdman’s Cash Money Records. Wayne accuses Birdman of misleading the court by pretending Cash Money has turned over all documents in their possession that the rapper has demanded they turn over. He says Cash Money produced 121,000 pages of documents but calls them mostly tediously accounting reports prepared by Universal Music, which the Cash Money is under. Wayne says Cash Money was ordered to produce documents but continues to refuse to turn over important information needed in the case. He points out while Cash Money claims that their company has earned over $200 million in cash flow, it has no accounting records, no general ledger, no bank account records and no tax returns at all. It sounds like Birdman is digging an even deeper hole by not paying Wayne, and he may end up in jail for tax evasion! Someone call Toni!

Tavis Smiley Sues PBS For Cancelling His Talk Show Over Sexual Misconduct, Claims It’s Purely Racially Motivated

Tavis Smiley Sues PBS For Firing Him Tavis Smiley is swinging back at PBS after they canned him and cancelled his 14-year-run talk show over multiple instances of sexual misconduct. The talk show host has filed a lawsuit against the network, claiming that the allegations against him were “trumped up” in an attempt to push him out for other reasons. If you’ll recall, Smiley was suspended from the network back in December. He almost immediately he admitted to having multiple sexual relationships with some of his female subordinates, sometimes even telling them in the interview process that he’d much rather date them than hire them…but still somehow defended his actions as not at all creepy or inappropriate . Either way, he was officially fired before the beginning of the new year. However, in his lawsuit, he claims that all his in-office booty-chasing had nothing to do with the “real” reason he was canned by the network. According to TMZ , Smiley claims in a new lawsuit that there was always racial tension at PBS. He says network bigwigs routinely: “…hassled Mr. Smiley when he had African American guests who espoused controversial positions and effectively tried to stop any such guests from appearing.” Meanwhile, PBS says this whole thing is a pathetic attempt to distract the public from the revelation of Tavis’ nastiness, and it’s absolutely “ridiculous and false” to claim that their decision was based on anything else. We’ll see how far this suit goes. Bottom line…you generally can’t smash half the office and think it will all be okay forever. Splash/Getty

Getty Jill Scott & Mike Dobson Splitting Following 15 Months Of Marriage Singer Jill Scott’s estranged ex snagged a victory in divorce court Thursday. A judge granted Mike Dobson’s request for a restraining order against Scott that bars her from trash talking him to her friends, the press and on social media. Dobson filed a motion for a restraining order against the “Golden” singer last month after accusing her of airing their dirty laundry on social media and outright lying to family members and others about his sexual orientation and being a a con artist. Dobson said in court papers that Scott had been posting subliminal messages on Facebook related to their split, including sharing and liking a video about having one life to live, and another video with the words “Now here’s a man who understands women.” The judge apparently sided with the City of Atlanta employee, and granted the order, according to public records. Scott already has her own restraining order against Dobson in place – meaning both are now under a court order not to harass each other. Scott filed for divorce last September, citing irreconcilable differences and “inappropriate marital conduct that such further cohabitation would be unsafe and improper.” Dobson countersued Scott earlier this month, accusing her of bullying him throughout their marriage and coercing him into signing a bad prenup agreement. Dobson asked for half the marital assets, along with $500,000 for the pain and suffering he allegedly endured.

Exclusive: Nelly Claims Alleged Rape Accuser Is “Scandalizing” Case; Woman Fires Back

(Photo by Samir Hussein/Samir Hussein/WireImage) Monique Greene Suing Nelly For Rape Nelly has complained that his rape accuser is filling her court filings with “scandalous” info that isn’t relevant to their sex assault and defamation case to hurt the rapper’s rep, but the woman said she is simply fighting fire with fire. Lawyers for the St. Louis rapper filed court docs Monday asking the court to bar portions of his accuser Monique Greene’s new complaint, arguing that she purposely put “impertinent, immaterial, redundant and scandalous” information in it – like a photo of Nelly in handcuffs and allegations from two more women who said Nelly assaulted them – in order to curry public favor and smear Nelly. Greene sued Nelly last year, contending his handlers lured her to his tour bus after a Seattle club appearance, where he raped her. However, Greene stopped working with law enforcement, and Nelly was not criminally charged. But Greene fired back in her own filing on Tuesday, and said she had no reason to overhype the alleged incident, because the circumstances around it were already lurid to begin with. Greene said Nelly has gone on a PR offensive to discredit her every chance he got, and even got his girlfriend Shantel Jackson in on the act. “This is a sexual assault and defamation lawsuit that is ‘scandalous’ by its very nature,” lawyers for the 21 year old club hostess wrote in court papers. “It involves a celebrity who chose a college student half his age to rape. It is a case that is of interest to the media which defendant Nelly has made full use of by having his lawyer issue media releases and appear on television; by not just protesting his innocence but threatening legal action against his victim during the initial stages of the criminal investigation; by having his girlfriend publish an alibi; and by having his spokesperson deliver legal documents to media outlets as soon as they are filed.” A judge has yet to rule on whether or not to strike portions of Greene’s complaint. Nelly’s Rape Accuser Moves To Have Judge Ban Him From Assaulting Women Nelly’s rape accuser is trying to make sure that Nelly keeps his peen away from unwilling women from now on. According to TMZ , Monique Greene has formally filed docs requesting that the judge legally bind Nelly from doing to other women what she says he did to her. As you surely know by now, Nelly’s accuser dropped her criminal case against the rapper , citing that the scrutiny from the public and threats from Nelly’s team were too much for her. Nelly admitted to sleeping with the woman without a condom and corroborated her claim that he tossed her $100 upon her distressed exit from the tour bus. Now, Greene claims that Nelly’s behavior is part of his routine of sexual assault against “beautiful women of color” that he handpicks from his concerts. She claims that he’ll have his entourage select women with “with beautiful faces and curvy figures” to invite backstage. She also claims that Nelly “is particularly attracted to women who were resistant.” Monique claims that later in the evening, Nelly will expose himself and masturbate in front of the women “with the expectation that presenting himself would entitle him to sexual gratification and that the women were drawn to and could not resist his penis.” She says Nelly “sexually accosts and/or assaults” the women who resist, and eventually ejaculates on the woman’s body. If you’re wondering how Greene knows Nelly’s drill so well, she claims she is now personally aware of at least 2 other women who went through the same thing she did with him. She says one claims that the rapper put his hand up her dress, and the other says he forced her to perform oral sex, then called her a “c-word” when she finally was able to get herself off of him. YIKES. We wonder if these other women will come forward with their own stories as well, or if the judge will have to go off of her word alone for this somewhat odd request… Splash/WENN
