Lindsay Lohan, wearing a dark grey suit, appeared sombre and concerned Monday when she conferred with her lawyer about attaching an alcohol-monitoring bracelet to her ankle and requiring drug testing every week in the Los Angeles area. Lindsay Lohan has posted bail in her DUI probation violation case, plunking down a fat $10,000 and will subsequently not be arrested, according to reports. The star’s bail had been set at $100,000, but when Lohan’s people dropped the standard 10 percent, the judge then recalled the warrant for Lohan’s arrest . Lindsay and her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, will be in court Monday at 8:30. Judge Marsha Revel will then set a date for a probation violation hearing. The judge believes there is probable cause to believe Lindsay violated the terms of her probation by failing to complete alcohol education courses this year. Lohan had been due in court yesterday, but was stuck in Cannes, France, after her passport was stolen (allegedly). Just a poor stunt to miss the hearing? Lindsay says no way – it was stolen all right, and in typical finger-pointing fashion, she says her estranged father, Michael Lohan, was behind the charade. “I always said my father had someone do it,” the delusional actress said. Lindsay Lohan has staved off an airport arrest … for now. The train wreck, who could face 180 days in jail if prosecutors throw the book at her and the judge agrees she violated her probation, is clearly in denial. Yes, Lindsay and Michael’s already-strained relationship has gotten more contentious in recent months, but his stated goal is to get her into rehab, not jail. If he did gank her passport, which would be a practical impossibility anyway, he would be fast-tracking her to the slammer, which doesn’t benefit anybody. He’s a tool, sure. But give it up, girl. He’s not behind this. His lawyer Lisa Bloom said as much. “Lindsay needs treatment, and jail is not going to help … Michael was working very hard behind the scenes to help.” Of the allegations, she says: “Lindsay is obviously angry with Michael because he wanted her to go to rehab for several months. She’s lashing out at him.”

At least one Lohan turned up in court this morning…unfortunately just not the one the judge was requesting. We were there at the LA court house, as was Michael Lohan but his daughter Lindsay, who’d been ordered to show for a probation progress report hearing, was not. She’s stuck in Cannes, France, claiming her passport was stolen and she has no way home until it’s replaced. Judge Marsha Revel though didn’t seem impressed, issuing a bench warrant for Li-lo’s arrest and setting bail at $100,000. Lindsay can stay free until the next court hearing as long as she does not drink any alcohol, wears a SCRAM bracelet and submits to random drugs testing once a week. Dad Michael spoke afterwards via his lawyer saying he agreed with the decision.

Embattled NFL legend Lawrence Taylor plans to claim masturbation was all that went on in the Holiday Inn room where he’s accused of raping a teen hooker. LT’s 16-year-old accuser says he was in the room, which he won’t deny. But his lawyer says there was no sexual intercourse, an element of third degree rape. As a source put it, LT engaged in a “masturbatory act” and that’s it . According to New York law, “A person is guilty of rape in the third degree when engaged in sexual intercourse with another person less than 17 years old.” But if there was no boning, as he says, was a crime still committed? Intercourse or not, Lawrence Taylor is accused of disgusting behavior . Interestingly … in the criminal complaint against the alleged pimp, Rasheed Davis , authorities allege Taylor engaged in “sex acts” with the teenage accuser. There is no mention of sexual intercourse, which is required for the charge levied against Taylor, who was arrested and charged with raping her last week. As for the condom allegedly found in Taylor’s Suffern, N.Y., hotel room? Taylor’s lawyers will argue the condom wasn’t his and he didn’t use it. His lawyer, Arthur Aidala, has denied any sex between Taylor and the girl happened. Will this argument hold water with a jury? Sadly, we may find out …

Jon Gosselin will drop his legal case against Kate Gosselin for custody and child support. Seriously. Even more shockingly, the two seem to be getting along. Sources connected to the situation also note that Jon never really believed Kate was an “absentee mom,” as his now-fired lawyer alleged earlier this month. Anthony F. List levied that charge and many legal threats against Kate while she was on Dancing with the Stars … Jon later claimed List was not his lawyer. Last week, List quoted Jon as calling Kate a shameless self-promoter who should be supporting her kids and not herself. That’s when he got the public ax. BURYING THE HATCHET : Did hell really freeze over? Regardless of who’s representing Jon, which not even he seems to fully grasp, he and Kate are trying to hash out a custody and child support agreement. A new one, and one that is more up to date than the one that is currently in place. Because Kate Gosselin is making serious money and Jon isn’t, face it. Also, he’s actually shown more of an interest in being with the kids than he did during divorce proceedings, so it’s a different situation now than before. Will Kate let Jon appear on the revamped Kate Plus 8 , or spin-off show, Twist of Kate? Hey, never say never … when a douchebag is desperate for cash.
