Madonna fell on stage during her Dallas concert this week. Ouch. Fortunately, the legendary singer will be alright. Take a look at the latest YouTube-worthy moment from her always buzz-worthy MDNA tour below: Madonna Falls on Stage Madge was mid-way through a rendition of “Like A Prayer” when she fell forward onto the floor, but then salvaged it by turning it into a roll and jumping to her feet. They don’t call her the Material Girl for nothing. NOTE: We have no idea what that means.
Morrissey? Not a big fan of the royal family. No stranger to controversy, the legendary Smiths frontman is slamming the monarchy in the wake of the Prince Harry and Kate Middleton nude photo scandals. He does not mince words. Like at all. “I wasn’t surprised by Prince Harry in Vegas because he’s always been an absolute idiot,” Morrissey said in an interview with the Herald Sun in Australia. “The monarchy is foremost a business.” “It’s important to them that the British public continue to finance the excessive luxurious lifestyles of the now quite enormous, wasteful and useless ‘royal’ family. I find it very sad.” The outspoken musician didn’t even spare the beloved Duchess of Cambridge, even though the infamous Kate Middleton photos were an invasion of her privacy. “They are all the most dysfunctional, unpleasant and arrogant people on the planet. A sour soap opera, and they should just resign and retire,” the 53-year-old added. “Can you imagine how the Prime Minister of Argentina viewed [ Prince Harry naked ] in Vegas? Or the Pope? Or the Archbishop of Canterbury?” We really can’t, no. [Photos: WENN.com]
Deadline reports that Al Pacino has been tapped to play famed Penn State fixture Joe Paterno, the legendary football coach who enjoyed the winningest reign in history before the Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse scandal marred his legacy. A little side-by-side photo comparison shows that Pacino bears a resemblance to the late coach, if you squint a bit; after a spotty run in film and TV of late (veering from the TV movie You Don’t Know Jack , which earned him an Emmy and Golden Globe, to the Adam Sandler comedy Jack & Jill — let’s not even talk about Dunkaccino ), JoePa’s rise and fall might offer some meaty material for the Oscar-winner. Though the project is still in development — ICM is shopping it around, according to Deadline — Pacino is attached, and a script will be adapted from Joe Posnanski’s New York Times bestselling biography Paterno . Stevie Wonder has issued an apology and an explanation following comments made in an interview with The Guardian . Asked about the admission by Frank Ocean that he’s been in a same-sex relationship, the legendary musician took his foot, placed it directly in his mouth and replied: “I think honestly, some people who think they’re gay, they’re confused. People can misconstrue closeness for love. People can feel connected, they bond. I’m not saying all [gay people are confused]. Some people have a desire to be with the same sex. But that’s them.” Stevie Wonder has just called to say he’s sorry. An unusual, confusing answer – and one Wonder quickly attempted to clarify in a statement. He told The Advocate : “I’m sorry that my words about anyone feeling confused about their love were misunderstood. “No one has been a greater advocate for the power of love in this world than I; both in my life and in my music. Clearly, love is love, between a man and a woman, a woman and a man, a woman and a woman and a man and a man. What I’m not confused about is the world needing much more love, no hate, no prejudice, no bigotry and more unity, peace and understanding. Period.”
The body of Rodney King was discovered at the bottom of a pool by his fiancee last month, with the cause of death listed as “accidental drowning.” That may technically still be the case, but the official death report has come out and it’s undeniable now that the man whose 1991 beating sparked riots in Los Angeles stumbled to his demise at the result of numerous substances in his body. It’s unclear if he jumped or fell into the water, according to the coroner, but King was “in a state of drug and alcohol induced delirium” at the time of his passing. “The effects of the drugs and alcohol, combined with [King’s preexisting heart condition] probably precipitated a cardiac arrhythmia and [King], thus incapacitated, was unable to save himself and drowned,” reads the report, which adds that King was lying naked in the deep end of the pool by the time EMTs arrived. Cynthia Kelly attempted to rescue her fiance with items such as a pitchfork, a hoe and a vacuum pool sweeper – all of which surrounded the area, the report confirms – because she considered herself a poor swimmer and was afraid of jumping in.
Something is wrong with Britney Spears. Observers have been saying this about the singer for years, dating way back to 2007 when she shaved her head and attacked the paparazzi with an umbrella – but now actual legal representatives for the superstar are making it official. Britney’s lawyers filed documents in court today relating to her four-and-a-half year conservatorship, requesting that certain records remain sealed because they are “highly sensitive” and would cause “irreparable harm and immediate danger” if released. Sources tell TMZ the documents in question are of medical nature and they concern Spears’ condition and treatment . Yes, Britney is doing “extremely well” these days, the insiders confirm, but her unidentified disorder can affect her personality and state of mind. As a result, there are no plans to end the conservatorship, which consists of Jamie Spears and Jason Trawick sharing responsibility for Britney’s personal life, while a more general business conservatorship handles the star’s fortune and career opportunities.
He’s a good guy, that Robert Pattinson. Faced with numerous opportunities to bash Kristen Stewart over the past couple weeks, the actor has refrained, most recently appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live and discussing everything in his life except the woman that broke his heart. And now comes the following news: Sources tell The Sun that Pattinson has volunteered to walk the red carpet alongside Stewart at November’s Breaking Dawn premiere. For what reason? “To save her from embarrassment and any female fans booing her,” according to the insider. “He is being professional and taking the higher moral ground.” That’s for sure. Stewart is reportedly breaking down herself over the couple’s split, and we can understand why: Pattinson really does appear to be just that awesome. The costars also expected to present together at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 6. Will that go down as scheduled? Stay tuned.
