Justin Bieber has taken down One Direction. Both the artist and the attractive quartet of Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Tomlinson and Liam Payne released new studio albums on Friday, November 13. But that’s where the similarities come to an end. Because Bieber pretty much blew his cute competition out of the water. By selling 522,000 albums in one week, “Purpose” joins “My World 2.0,” “Under The Mistletoe,” “Never Say Never: The Remixes,” “Believe” and “Believe Acoustic” as top-selling records for Bieber. This figure also makes “Purpose” the most popular album of 2015; the most popular in general since Taylor Swift’s “1989” last October; and the most popular since Eminem came out with an album in 2013. “OUR WORK IS DONE HERE,” Bieber’s manager, Scotter Braun, wrote on Instagram on Friday, adding: “#1 album #PURPOSE @justinbieber @sb_projects People stopped believing. We didn’t. Like I said…we love being the underdog. “Thanks for believing with us and believing in him. Congrats Jb. That’s one amazing album. Welcome back.” One Direction, meanwhile, sold 402,000 albums. Which is far from shabby. Both Bieber and One Direction had their moments at the American Music Awards on Sunday night: The former closed the ceremony with a medley of hits ; while One Direction won Best Artist for the second year in a row. It’s been well documented that the Queen gives her grandson the amount of space he needs in order to build a successful marriage with Catherine. In 2012 William told biographer Robert Hardman that Her Majesty told him to forget whatever wedding invite list aides had drawn up (full of stuffy royal relatives and the like), start from scratch and invite his and Catherine’s friends first. Secondly, if there are any “fractures” in the royal marriage, then let’s take a look at William and Catherine’s body language at engagements. As someone who’s made a living studying the British royal family, I am finding it very, very difficult to believe any of the quotes pulled from this story. And with their alma mater, St. Andrews University about an hour away, it’s very likely they spent the night. Kate Middleton, Beyonce Meet-and-Greet As far as a vacation to Mustique, that’s not likely to happen until January or February; for the past few years Catherine has joined her family on the island for a private holiday. No tropical vacations are believed to take place from now until the end of the year, since the royal diary is always jam-packed through the holidays. The quote about “plenty of nannies” being able to care for George and Charlotte is false because they have one nanny, Maria Borrallo , who graduated from the prestigious Norland College. As for Carole, what the Queen thinks of Catherine’s mom is anyone’s guess. The Middletons have been included in everything from the planning of the royal wedding to Christmas Day church service, so if the Queen is not in love with Carole, she’s not showing it. To summarize, the Queen is almost 90, and upon her death, Prince Charles becomes sovereign. All of these facts mean that William and Catherine will need to take on more royal responsibilities, leaving them with less time to lead a more private, normal life that they prefer. NYPD Cop Randolph Holder Dies After Being Shot In The Head By Gunman A beloved NYPD housing officer was killed late last night , shot in the head by a gunman during a chase and gunfight on a pedestrian overpass above the FDR Drive in East Harlem, says officials. Via NY Daily News : Officer Randolph Holder, 33, was shot in the forehead by the callous gunman, who had stolen a bike and was being pursued by cops along the promenade hugging the East River around 8:30 p.m., Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said. The brave officer died at 10:22 p.m. at Harlem Hospital. A suspect, shot in the legs, was arrested. Holder, who emigrated from Guyana, was a third-generation police officer, following in his father and grandfather’s footsteps in the line of duty, Bratton said during a somber press conference at the hospital. The unmarried immigrant joined the NYPD in July 2010 and worked in Police Service Area 5, wearing Shield No. 13340 as he patrolled the public housing projects of East Harlem. Such is the case for Holly Burt, who is gaining fame this week after being featured for turning her Amazon height into a modeling career. Via People.com reports : When Holly Burt was in middle school, she was bullied by classmates who called her “daddy long legs,” “tree” and “giraffe.” At 6-foot-5, Holly is now towering over all the body shamers who taunted her for her height.
