The star of Girls is having a fan girl moment. With Jamie Dornan cast as Christian Grey this week, Lena Dunham has taken to Twitter and made it clear: she’s on board with the selection of this British actor. Very, very, very much on board. “I’m a monstrous @JamieDornan1 fan,” Dunham Tweeted in response to the casting. She then referenced a BBC Two crime drama that featured Dornan as a serial killer and added: “Wasn’t allowed to be attracted to him on The Fall bc he played a sexmurderer. 50 Shades is my big chance… Wait, Christian Grey isn’t a murderer right?” Doran, of course, is taking over for Charlie Hunnam, who was originally chosen to lead the film adaption of this novel… but who then dropped out for unknown reasons. The 31-year old portrayed Sheriff Graham on Once Upon a Time Season 1 and has no major big screen experience in the States. But have you seen these shirtless Jamie Dornan photos ? The 72-year old celebrated 50 years of marriage to wife Marie last week by carving out 17 acres of his Ohio farm to resemble the couple’s 1963 wedding photo. “He did it with the kids. They kept it a secret. I thought they were nuts, but it’s actually turned out very well,” Marie told Good Morning America today, vastly under-selling the impressive achievement pictured above. They carved out John Glenn last year and the Twin Towers in 2010 out of respect for the 10-year anniversary of 9/11. They’ve also used the farm to pay tribute to their favorite sports team, the Steelers and the Browns. But this one may be the ultimate accomplishment for Paul. “They put it together very nicely, with the church where we were married at the top, and our wedding picture of the two of us in the middle and the old tractor at the bottom,” Marie says. Girls star and creator Lena Dunham wants Instagram to “get down with the nipple.” In other words, quit censoring/blocking breastfeeding photos. She kept friend and new mom Sarah Sophie Flicker’s breast covered up with a tasteful daisy to abide by Instagram’s no nudity rules, but not by choice. Dunham made it clear that she didn’t like having to do it. “My @sarahsophief feeding the brand new Dusty. I made the flower crown and she added the flower censor. Wish she didn’t have to cuz the nipple is dope,” she wrote. “Instagram, get down with the nipple.” Flicker, a performer and director with The Citizens Band, shared the photo on her own feed with a similar sentiment: “Found the best breast feeding get up.” “@lindseythornburg dress. Flower censor by me due to instagram’s super lame blocking of the breast feeding ladies.” Instagram community standards do indeed say nudity is grounds for removal, but the photo sharing site claims that breastfeeding photos are allowed. In June, after online breastfeeding community The Leaky Boob’s account was suspended, they actually apologized for what they called an error. “When our team processes reports, we occasionally make a mistake,” a representative said, though it happens enough that many moms are frustrated. Lena Dunham Breastfeeding Instagram Activists seeking to normalize breastfeeding in public and online have become increasingly frustrated with social media platforms removing such images. Jessica Martin-Weber who runs The Leaky Boob, started a Facebook group called “Instagram, stop discriminating against breastfeeding mothers and babies.” Fans of Amy Woodruff (also known as Naked Yoga Breastfeeding Mom ) started a #savedaughterofthesun campaign after her account was disabled. Ashlee Wells Jackson created the viral ” 4th Trimester Bodies Project ” highlighting what real moms’ bodies look like after childbirth called for changes. Her Instagram account was deactivated, and she was blocked from posting photos on Facebook for 30 days, so she created a petition on Change.org. Dunham, as her fans know, is a fan of nakedness. Now she’s lending her support for others’ right to show just a little bit online for a good cause. Lena Dunham may be a talented writer, she may have great concepts and a great sense of humour, but the fact remains that she is disgusting and if her parents were not in the New York art scene and she wasn’t some little rich kid hipster with a trust fund, the only people who would be reading her writing would be her cats and maybe her vibrator…or even some socially awkward dude who probably raped at least one person because getting with her requires sexual deviance….but that’s not the lottery ticket she was given…the lottery ticket she was given involved getting her projects funded and sold…and she became figurehead for ugly chicks to think it’s ok to be ugly, and that you’ll get on TV if you’re ugly, thanks to this whole anti-Cyberbullying bullshit…to make the losers feel like winners…even though society was built on survival of the fittest… Here she is with her mother, or what you’d expect her mother to look like, if you didn’t know that her mother is some well connected Kris Jenner who made Lena Dunham exist, probably out of guilt for the nuclear meltdown that was her and her husbands genetic incompatibility
Here at Skin Central every day is a party where we celebrate famous women getting naked, so we have to hand it to Lena Dunham who so frequently directs herself to get nude. Now her contentious creation Girls , is about to debut its second season, and Lena dropped by the Today Show to assure everyone that going au naturel is only natural: “It’s not that brave to get naked if you’re not stressed about being naked” This in the wake of the New York Post calling Dunham a “pathological exhibitionist” likes that’s a bad thing. We’d never encourage any actress to cover up, and any gal who wants to show off her ingenue num-nums is ok by us. So congratulations, Lena, and keep pushing that nude envelope!
Nude on DVD this week it’s the complete first season of the divisive HBO drama Girls . Narcissistic New Yorkers may not be your bag, but you have to give some one-handed applause to Lena Dunham who so frequently writes nude roles for herself. Also releasing is the French musical Beloved (2011), where nude scenes from Chiara Mastroianni and Ludivine Sagnier will erect an Eiffel tower in your pants. The Intouchables is France’s entry for Best Foreign Language Oscar consideration and has grossed $360 million worldwide, Deadline reports . Wearing a scarf resembling a Muslim hijab (below), Dunham wrote “I had a real goth / fundamentalist attitude when I woke up from my nap.” Lena certainly didn’t mean to insult anyone by it, but in the wake of the Wisconsin Sikh temple shooting , many were not amused: After people went crazy, Lena Dunham apologized, saying she hadn’t even heard about the shooting: “Been in production and completely not reading the news.” “Didn’t realize what a bad time it was to make a joke like that. Not a good excuse, but an excuse nonetheless. I’m glad you keep me informed and I’m deleting those tweets.” “Will spend tonight reading my pile of old NY Times, contemplating the boundaries of humor.
