It’s been a rough few weeks for Kailyn Lowry. Between fending off David Eason’s weird trolling attempts , and shooting down rumors that she’s dating Leah Messer , the poor gal’s barely had time to mourn her recently deceased dog. Kailyn just got an adorable new pup for the family, but fans are already jumping down her throat about it. On August 28, Kailyn saddened fans on social media with the news that her beloved Rottweiler Bear had died after facing serious health issues. “I think this is by far the worst week I’ve had in a long time,” Kailyn tweeted during the ordeal. The Teen Mom 2 star’s posts included a loving tribute that showed what a central part of the family Bear had been. But it didn’t take long for Kailyn to find love again. Just over a week later, Kail returned to the web to debut the newest addition to her family, a Cane Corso named Karma. Kailyn chose to introduce the pup in a tweet with a series of cute pics and the simple caption, “Meet Karma.” It was clear Kailyn was super excited about to add Karma to the family. She even went all out with a fake gender reveal, including a pink dog bed, blanket and balloons. Look, it’s not any dumber than when we do it for people. Puppies don’t appreciate the difference between blue and pink any more or less than human babies. The point is, Karma’s a girl, and she has a lot of pink stuff because Kailyn threw her a cute little party. But fans just couldn’t let Kailyn have this one nice thing. Twitter users immediately came for the 27-year-old and her little dog too, lambasting every detail they could find a problem with. Followers took issue with where Kailyn got the dog, when she got it, and most outrageously, even the shape of Karma’s ears! As is plainly visible in the phots, Karma’s ears are cropped. The Cane Corso naturally has longer ears that flop over, but the breed often has its ears cut into a smaller, upright shape. Many fans see this as a cruel and unnatural alteration to a non-consenting animal, and they definitely let their voices be heard. “Please tell me you didn’t clip his ears,” wrote one user, who clearly missed the gender reveal. “Wtf is wrong with you,” they continued, “I’m done.” We recommend knowing at least a bit of what you’re talking about before declaring you’re “done” with an argument you started, but hey whatever. Plenty of others had equally strong opinions about the practice. “That poor baby’s ears,” observed another user in the comments thread “SMFH. Anyone who crops their dogs ears should have it done to them,” they decreed. But some other users were in Kail’s corner this time, or at the very least were advocates of canine ear clipping. “Do your research on the ear cropping of this breed,” wrote one user who came to Kail’s defense. Another commenter did just that, and even had the good sense to post their findings in the thread. A cursory google search turns informs that for the Cane Corso specifically, cropped ears are in the best interest of the dog’s health and safety. “Ok I was going to slam you for the ear cropping,” wrote the user who looked it up. “But researched it first, and I’ll be damned,” they concluded, adding an emoji of a lady shrugging. Take notes, Internet users. We should all aspire to be like this commenter. If you have an opinion, do a bit of research before you present it to the world. Of course, other users disputed this information, and pointed out that breeders are gradually leaving behind the practice of ear cropping, even in breeds where it’s traditional. And for the record, we can totally understand why so many are opposed to the process. It does change the dog’s appearance, and the animal can’t give its permission. Just like human circumcision, there’s a hot debate as to weather it’s necessary for health and hygiene, or just mutilation for the sake of tradition. For her part, Kailyn Lowry is used to getting called out online. And she’s used to defending herself too Kail wants us to know she didn’t make the call on this issue. Karma came into her life with ears already clipped. “Either way,” she wrote, “the ears were cropped before I got her, so that was out of my control.” Of course, that wasn’t enough for some fans, who pointed out that by purchasing a dog with it’s ears cropped, Kailyn is still supporting the practice. “Beautiful dog, and I have no doubt you’ll treat it well,” replied one commenter, “but buying a dog with its ears cropped should be illegal.” We’re not sure we’d go that far. If it’s truly bad for the dog, maybe the practice should be illegal. But we’d hate to see a pup miss out on a good home just because its missing a few tiny pieces. Fortunately, that’s not an issue for Karma, who looks like she settling in beautifully to her new home. The new pooch has been a hit with Kail’s kids and even her other dog, a french bulldog named Gizmo. And naturally, plenty of followers had a problem with that too, finding it callous that Kailyn got a new dog only a week after losing her last one. But Kailyn’s snappy online response to the haters asserts that Karma “is an addition, not a replacement.” Other fans argued over weather or not the Cane Corso is an appropriate breed to be around young children. Still others blasted Kail for buying anything from a breeder when there are so many dogs that need to be rescued from shelters. Unfortunately, pretty much every choice is the wrong one when you live under the microscope like Kailyn does. But we’re glad that even in these rocky times, Kailyn’s family has a new source of joy in Karma. And for Karma, we’re honestly just glad she didn’t end up as Janelle Evans’ new family pet. The rock queen recently did an interview with The New York Times and although she endured a hectic life, she’s now just as carefree as ever. She has a musical about her life headed to Broadway, she’s married to music producer Erwin Bach , and she’s enjoying the fruits of her labor with 10 years of retirement. “I don’t necessarily want to be a ‘strong’ person,’” she told the Times . “I had a terrible life. I just kept going. You just keep going, and you hope that something will come.” Ms. Turner then gestures to her extravagant home in Switzerland, adding, “This came.” Spoken like a true legend. Turner also spoke about her notoriously abusive relationship with the late Ike Turner, shedding insight on how forgiveness manifests for different people. “I don’t know if I could ever forgive all that Ike ever did to me,” Turner said. Then she added, “Ike’s dead. So we don’t have to worry about him.” There you have it. Along with her tips on resilience, Turner also gave tips on just relaxing and doing nothing. Although she had great moments during her 50 years of performing, Turner is enjoying retirement and has no plans to return as a music artist. “I don’t sing. I don’t dance. I don’t dress up,” she said. After a life of pleasing other people, Ms. Turner has no qualms about living a little selfishly in her soon-to-be 80s. “I was just tired of singing and making everybody happy,” she said. “That’s all I’d ever done in my life.” The upcoming Broadway musical, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, first made its debut in London before coming to the U.S., according to Playbill. Actress Adrienne Warren will reprise the title role and she’ll be joined by Daniel J. Watts as Ike Turner. Acclaimed playwright Katori Hall wrote the book for the show. “Tina is such a powerful being—beyond an icon,” Hall told the cast on their first day of rehearsal. “[Tina] always said she wanted to use the poison that she had to take in her life in order to create medicine for others. I want you guys in this rehearsal to embrace the responsibility. The responsibility of telling this story that is going to transform people.” Tina will explore Ms. Turner’s life from Nutbush, Tennessee to international fame. Performances will start on October 12 at the Lunt-Fortanne Theatre and opening night is November 7.

The rapper finally dropped his highly anticipated debut album, announced a new tour, filmed a new judge-style television show for Netflix called Rhythm & Flow , and most recently, he welcomed a new baby girl into the world. Of course, these are all great things to have on your calendar, but one of those seems to have come at the wrong time for Chance: his upcoming North American tour. The Chicago native took to his Instagram page to make the announcement that his tour, which was scheduled to start in only a few days, was going to be postponed . This news comes directly following the announcement that his wife gave birth to their second child together. “I thought it over for the past week and I’ve decided to push back my tour. On Saturday (Sept. 7), a public ceremony was held at the Rose Hill Memorial Park and Mortuary in Whittier, California. Reports HipHopDX : According to several Instagram posts, Eazy’s new tombstone is more elaborate but contains the same text as the first one, “We Loved Him A Lot But God Loved Him More.” The updated version, however, features his signature red logo, autograph, the title “The Godfather of Gangsta Rap” written in Old English and several iconic photos of the late gangsta rap pioneer. Toward the bottom it reads, “We Put Compton On The Map.” Eazy-E reportedly passed away in 1995 from complications from AIDS— but not everyone thinks so . Meanwhile, Ghost learned that he can’t really trust anyone when Tommy popped up alive and well at his side chick’s funeral. To make matters worse, his soon to be ex-wife confirmed she knew his former business partner wasn’t dead. The episode closed out with Dre learning of Angela’s death which was the feds worst nightmare fearing he won’t testify against Alicia Jimenez. Dre Has More Than Nine Lives Source: Power / Starz T his week’s episode picks right up where last week’s left off. Jerry is getting ready to take Dre to testify against Alicia Jimenez. Before they can leave the house where they hiding Dre and his daughter, Jerry notices a shadowy figure creepy around the front door. As expected, Jimenez hitmen bust in the safehouse taking out the federal agents left and right leaving just Dre, his daughter and Jerry still alive. With some quick thinking, Jerry manages to take out the remaining thugs but does get shot in the process. Dre seizes the moment to pick up a gun from one of the deceased agents and with no remorse kills a begging Jerry in front of his daughter. With everyone dead, Dre decides to take his daughter and run because he knows the Jimenez will hunt continue to hunt him and his daughter. He doesn’t get too far and is arrested by agents at the train station, and they bring him back into custody. Saxe Is Under Some Serious Pressure Source: Power / Starz S axe is having a hard time trying to prove that Ghost was the one who killed Angela Valdez. The death of Jerry Donovan doesn’t help either and only puts more pressure on him thanks to his new boss. Warner tells Saxe that now it’s his business to see to it that Dre testifies against Alicia Jimenez cause if she somehow walks, Saxe is in big trouble. He also has that illegal bug he gave to Proctor’s ex-wife out there hoping he can get some info from that as well. Speaking of the bug, he hasn’t gotten that smoking gun he needs yet but almost does when Tommy stops by Proctor’s house. Before Tommy can say anything damaging to either him or Ghost, Proctor’s daughter comes back and takes the bookbag with the listening device attached to it upstairs. Saxe also has Dre in his custody now that Jerry is gone, so he plans to use him as well in his quest to get Ghost. Team Tate Is Shaken Up Source: Power / Starz R ashad Tate has big dreams of becoming Governor of NYC and won’t stop at nothing to get there. We saw just how ruthless he is last week when he beat up his campaign manager. This week Tate is knocking boots with the same campaign manager’s girlfriend or wife, either or Councilman Tate is totally foul. While he is having sex with her, he gets a call from the DNC, and they inform him they are sending him a care package to help boost his growing campaign. What Tate doesn’t know that the care package isn’t money, but it’s Ramona Garrity who walks in Tate’s campaign headquarters and fires half his staff. Her job is to “stress test” Tate’s operation on behalf of the DNC before they send any money his way. That also means she wants to know more information about his supporters, especially one James St. Patrick, who has been all over the news. The DNC really wants to win in New York and feel Ramona and her team can make that happen. Now unfortunately for Tate, Ramona popping up might be useful for Ghost. He’s already fed up because nothing is happening with the Queens Child Project building and he is also running low on funds. Garrity seems to have an eye for Ghost, why does it always seem to be the powerful women on this show have a thing for ain’t sh*t men? Ghost can sense the lust, and he’s obviously feeding off it and is working Garrity, so much to the point, she wants to use him and his estranged wife to hammer home Tate’s message locally. Ghost quickly tells Ramona that he and Tasha are heading towards divorce and her eyes light up a like a Christmas tree. Tate is stunned at the revelation, but he can’t go against Garrity. Now, this wouldn’t be Power if there was some sneaky mess going on right? Both Garrity and Tate meet up with Tasha to enlist her help despite Ghost telling them he wants to work alone. Knowing that they need her, Tasha uses the moment to get the daycare license and other things she needs to get her new “legitimate business” off and running. Riq Is Learning The Drug Game Is Hard Source: Power / Starz R iq, aka Ghost 2.0, is the big man on campus now. He’s got some money rolling and a reliable team, but he’s running out of pills to push. He has one stash of pills his dead mentor, Kanan gave him stashed in his deceased sister’s room, but he knows it’s not enough. Riq is quickly learning the drug game isn’t easy but gets comfort from his newest recruit, aka Tasha 2.0. The two have a heart-to-heart convo over a game of chess with Riq revealing a lot is going on in his life. Especially with his dad knowing he lied to him about knowing Tommy was alive. Riq also opens up about his sister’s death and how he feels alone after losing his twin. His new friend/associate assures him she is here for the troubled teen. Before the scene closes, Riq tells her that he has no more pills because his drug connect, Kanan is dead. Will Jason’s Plan To Kidnap Alicia Jiminez Somehow Unite Ghost and Tommy? Source: Power / Starz Jason is really taking advantage of the beef between Ghost and Tommy. Last week he found a way to get money from the former friends and now this week he is using them to take out the competition. Jason hatches a plan to kidnap Alicia Jimenez from federal custody while on her way to trial. Instead of carrying out the scheme himself, he recruits Tommy and Ghost separately giving each of them an incentive if they successfully accomplish the goal. While we really have no idea what Ghost planned to kidnap Alicia, it was Tommy and his goons surprisingly who had the best scheme to capture the drug lord. After Alicia takes a sip of a spiked glass of water that sends her to the bathroom, Tommy’s new ride-or-die chick, Keisha sends her boo the message that Jimenez is passed out in the bathroom. 2-Bit and Spank show up disguised as EMT workers and wheel here out on a stretcher and load her up into a stolen ambulance. Ghost in his very lame disguise is watching all of it go down right before his eyes in disbelief. He immediately wraps up his attempt at kidnapping Alicia and hops in his escape vehicle. Before he can leave he sees Tommy, and they make eye contact with Egan acknowledging he outsmarted Ghost with a tip of his hat. When the drugged Alicia wakes up, she refuses to reveal her trafficking network, her decision to not talk earns her a bullet to the head. With her dead, Saxe no longer needs Dre and threatens to take his daughter away, but if he agrees to help him nail Ghost, Saxe will pull some favors him. Dre reluctantly agrees and even points out he saw Ghost at the courthouse, but Saxe doesn’t believe him. Looks like Dre has his work cut out for him once again. Ghost, of course, is furious and runs to go talk to Proctor about his failed kidnapping attempt. While breaking the down the entire situation to his attorney tells him that Tommy stopped by asking for the same info. Ghost also reveals to Proctor that he is broke and needs money as soon as possible. Proctor tells his client to think slowly and asks him who can lend him money? With desperate times come desperate measures with Ghost reaching out to Simon Stern for help.
