VCG/VCG via Getty Images LeBron Is Very Proud Of The School He’s Opening In His Hometown LeBron James has made it clear that his charitable foundation’s most recent project is the most important thing he’s ever done. The Akron native said on Thursday, “It is. Besides having three kids and marrying my wife, putting my mom in a position where she never has to worry about anything ever again for the rest of her life, this is right up there. Championships, MVPs, I mean, points, rebounds and assists, that stuff is, whatever.” The LeBron James Family Foundation is set to open the “I Promise School” in the fall, and it will be specifically for third and fourth graders in the Akron Public Schools system who are at risk of falling behind. The James foundation’s plan was approved unanimously by the Akron School Board this week, and on top of that, LeBron’s entertainment company will also be producing a documentary on the opening of the school. The mission with James’ foundation, since 2010, has been to improve reading skills and eventually graduation rates for children in Akron Public Schools. He has said time and time again that he wants to help children who faced the same challenges he did growing up. Shoutout to Bron for being so dedicated to helping his hometown grow!
A star of The Big Bang Theory has some very big news to share: She’s engaged! About a year after we first wondered whether Kaley Cuoco would get married to boyfriend Karl Cook, the beautiful actress has gone ahead and answered our question. Well, she answered his question, to be accurate. And that question, of course, was whether she wanted to be his bride. In an emotional video Cook actually shared to Instagram, Cuoco breaks down in tears upon hearing the words she wanted Cook to say, barely able to even utter a response. “We’re engaged!” Cuoco tells the camera at one point, to which Karl replies: “You still haven’t said yes yet.” Yes! I say yes! I say yes!” she says back. Based on the way she acted afterward (getting a tattoo of Sweeting’s name removed, however, it seemed as if Ryan dared to cheat on Kaley. She later told Cosmopolitan that the divorced “[changed] the way I look at marriage, and that makes me sad.” Thankfully, though, she has now found a man that makes her happy. Cuoco and Cook first sparked romance rumors in March of 2016. A month later, Cuoco shared a cozy picture of her with her boyfriend on Instagram, writing: “That’s what happy looks like.” The two share a love of horses in particular and animals in general. “They seem to be in a good spot right now. She is always traveling with him. It’s not as much her schedule but more so his,” an insider previously told E! New, concluding: “She is super smitten.” And we’re super smitten for her! We previously reported , Carey asked for $50 million in court after her split from her ex-fiance, claiming the relationship inconvenienced her by forcing her to uproot her life in New York to move to LA. The case also noted a leg of her tour that was apparently cancelled due to Packer. The death knell of their relationship was an argument in Greece involving Packer and Carey’s assistant that ‘traumatized’ the ‘Butterfly’ singer. Now that the dust has settled, Carey reportedly walked away with between $5 and $10 million, and gets to keep her massive engagement ring–allegedly worth less than the $10 million dollars it was originally appraised for. Though rumors continue to swirl that she could be one of the stars of The Real Housewives of Orange County getting fired , Meghan King Edmonds continues to have plenty of fans who are happy tor updates on her life. And, well, she has a pretty major life update: She’s pregnant! And she’s expecting a … Meghan King Edmonds posted a very lengthy announcement on her blog, writing: “So we’ve made it to the announcement: Aspen is going to be a big sister!” That’s exciting! Though we’d point out that this announcement came on Aspen’s first birthday (yesterday), so she won’t be much older than her younger sibling. “It was so hard for us to keep it a secret from everyone especially since we shared our entire IVF journey with Aspen on RHOC from the very beginning.” And there’s a lot of detail about her latest IVF journey in this post, as well. “Tonight on the RHOC reunion you’ll see that I’m only one month pregnant, but that was filmed five weeks ago: we are now ten weeks pregnant (and I’m feeling every bit of it)!” Awww, that’s wonderful news! “Because you won’t see any of our current journey on RHOC, I’ll share our beautiful journey with you here!” Maybe she just means because, you know, the show doesn’t quite film back-to-back, but some are reading that line as confirmation that Meghan King Edmonds won’t return to RHOC next year. Her post continues: “When Aspen was only a few months old, Jimmy and I knew we wanted to add another baby to the mix.” Wow. Most parents of infants are too tired to tie their shoes properly, let alone make major life decisions. “Yes, Aspen has half-siblings but we wanted her to be able to share in the joy of waking up to a sibling every day of her life.” It’s good that she reassures readers that she’s not pretending that Aspen’s an only child. And then some: “Plus her half-siblings are completely enamored by Aspen and they LOVED the idea of expanding our family even more.” Little siblings are very exciting. “I had reliable companionship this time around with Jimmy by my side, my trusty furry companion Girly Girl and of course, baby Aspen.” She mentions them for a great reason. “It may seem silly to mention Aspen and Girly Girl but this support system was everything to me during round 2 of IVF.” There’s nothing silly about a support system! In case anyone had forgotten, she recapped her previous struggles with IVF. “Side note: If you remember from RHOC, during my first round of IVF I entered the worst depression of my life, probably due to the erratic hormones combined with loneliness.” Guys, if you know anyone who’s had hormone treatments, you know that it can have devastating effects on mental and emotional health. Remember when you were 14 and had all of these feelings and they all seemed so important? Well, imagine suddenly being plunged into that again as an adult, but magnified. Meghan King Edmonds talked about how she was able to cope: “I was able to wean off my depression meds halfway through my pregnancy with Aspen which directly corresponded with when I got Girly Girl, and I haven’t been on a lick of antidepressants since then.” We hope that all of this weaning was done under a doctor’s supervision. “Dogs are truly woman’s best friend and medicine for the soul… and apparently clinical depression!” Not all depression can be cured with a pet, of course — but some specific issues can totally be addressed with a pet. Now, she goes into great detail into the IVF process … which is great for anyone wondering what that’s like. And then she talks about where she is now: “Fast forward to today and I am pregnant! I’m not feeling the greatest but we know that it will all be worth it in the end.” Surrogates are always an option to a couple of means. Just saying. “Aspen will make a fabulous big sister at only a year-and-a-half old in June 2018!” So we already know the (very approximate) due date! Though we could have puzzled it out with the knowledge that she’s 10 weeks pregnant. “Oh, what about the biggest question: Boy or girl? In an interview with Girlgaze Zine , Willow Smith candidly describes her life in the public eye as, “excruciatingly terrible.” The 17-year-old singer told the mag, “Growing up and trying to figure out your life…while people feel like they have some sort of entitlement to know what’s going on, is absolutely, excruciatingly terrible. And the only way to get over it, is to go into it.” Although Willow and her brother Jaden are both following their parents’ famous footsteps by pursuing careers in entertainment and music, she says having people in your business 24/7 is often damaging for celebrity kids. “I feel like most kids like me end up going down a spiral of depression, and the world is sitting there looking at them through their phones; laughing and making jokes and making memes at the crippling effect that this lifestyle has on the psyche.” Willow’s rise to stardom began at the age of 10 when her popular dance hit “Whip my Hair” crushed the charts in 2010. Well, it’s that time of year again. On Thursday, millions of Americans will gather to spew mouthfuls of mashed potato at their loved ones as they get all red in the face at the sight of kneeling football players. Thanksgiving can be especially daunting if you’re half of a new or newly engaged couple, as you may wind up getting raked over the coals by relatives you’re meeting for the first time, or ones who are just now taking you seriously because there’s a ring on your finger. Are royals exempt from this sort of awkward encounter? News. So now she’s through with work obligations and free to focus on her royal future. Many fans are wondering if Harry will be joining Meghan and her family for his first stateside Thanksgiving. Not surprisingly, the answer is … no one really knows. Insiders say Harry is planning to join Meghan in LA, but that hasn’t been confirmed by any sort of royal schedule. Whatever the case, Markle will reportedly be making yet another major change in her life immediately following the holiday. “It’ll then be time for Meghan to move to London and into Harry’s place,” the insider says of Meh’s Black Friday agenda. We’re hoping Harry will be joining the Markle clan and trying to make sense of American football on Thursday, but if he opts out, that may be for the best. Many fans of Teen Mom: OG may have been shocked by the tweet Catelynn Lowell posted moments ago. But ultimately, they rallied around the beloved reality star, offering crucial support as she faces the struggle of a lifetime: Last year, Catelynn checked into a rehab facility to be treated for depression and anxiety. Today, she revealed that she’ll be seeking further treatment following a recurrence of symptoms: “Well today I thought of every way to kill myself.. so I’m going to treatment #makeChesterProud @TalindaB #KeepTalkingMH #thiswontlast,” Catelynn tweeted Friday afternoon. Catelynn tagged the wife of late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington in her tweet. Bennington took his own life in July at the age of 41. Catelynn did not reveal how long she’s been struggling this time around, but she seems hopeful about her future. She posted the above photo of her daughter’s toy on Instagram, along with the following caption: “Well Nova buddy is coming with me… and I’m gonna hold it close to my heart the whole time… #thiswontlast #thiswontstopme” Again, fans responded with an outpouring of support. “Oh Catelynn. You are a strong, amazing woman. I’m so glad you’re getting help with this. That makes you even stronger to admit that you need it. I know you will get through this. Sending so much love and support your way.” commented one fan. “Just being open about it proves to me that you are incredibly strong! You can overcome this! I wish you all the best.” Other stars of the Teen Mom franchise have publicly offered messages of love and encouragement to Lowell, as well: “Thinking of her,” Javi Marroquin tweeted, linking to an article about Catelynn’s struggle. “Incredibly proud of my wife…when she thought she had no choices left, she reached out & decided to LIVE today!” tweeted Catelynn’s husband, Tyler Baltierra. “My life would be desolate without her in it. You are beautiful, strong, worthy, & loved,” he added. We’d like to add our voice to the chorus of well-wishes for Catelynn. By being open about her struggle, she’s turning a potentially deadly negative into a positive that may well prove life-saving. Wendy Pepper, a memorable contestant who competed on the very first season of Project Runway, has passed away. She was 53 years old. According to The Washington Post, the reality star – whose real name was Anne Eustis Pepper Stewart – died peacefully on Sunday surrounded by her family members and loved ones. The cause of her death was not revealed in the newspaper’s obituary. But here is what a portion of the memorial article said: A finalist on season one of Project Runway, Wendy designed and hand-sewed exceptionally beautiful clothes for children and adults. She was a chef, a writer, and a life-long entrepreneur. Her wit and humor were unmatched, as was her generosity of spirit. Wendy is survived by her parents, Anne Livingston Emmet of Washington and Charles Willing Pepper of Palm Beach, FL; her loving daughter, Finley M. Stewart, of Middleburg, VA; her brothers Wing Pepper, Stacy Lloyd and Thomas Lloyd; her sister, Edith Pepper Goltra; and many adoring nieces and nephews. Pepper advanced to the finals at Fashion Week and ultimately came in third on the opening Project Runway season. While on the program, she won numerous challenges, including the change to have one of her designs sold at Banana Republic and the opportunity to design Nancy O’Dell’s Grammy dress. She was a fan favorite for sure. Along with the inaugural run of Project Runway, Pepper also made an appearance during the second season of Project Runway All Stars, which aired in 2012 and 2013. Moreover, she appeared on a pair of other Bravo reality shows: Celebrity Poker Showdown and Battle of the Network Reality Stars. The late chef and designer was born in Dayton, Ohio. She graduated from Potomac School, the Madeira School, and the University of Washington. Said Pepper in a Project Runway All Star video many years ago: “I realized I was a designer when I was living in Nepal. “Dyeing some yarn, I suddenly turned to these people that I was living with and I started to drape the yarn. Oh my gosh, this is so much fun, I am creating this whole sort of experience with these women. For me, fashion is communication…That’s when I knew this was my life’s work.” She also said Project Runway taught her that “if you really want to succeed, you’ve gotta be willing to throw yourself into the arena.” Pepper will be laid to rest at a Georgetown church on December 1.
