Megyn Kelly Issues Statement on Fox News Departure: What Did She Say?

Megyn Kelly is no longer the female face of Fox News. In a move that caught many viewers by surprise, the long-time reporter decided on Tuesday to sign a contract with NBC . She will debut on that network later this year, anchoring her very own program Monday through Friday; hosting a Sunday evening series; and also contributing in general to NBC political coverage and any kind of breaking news. Reports indicate that an offer of $20 million per year from Fox News was not enough to entice Kelly to stay. Is this really all that shocking, considering Kelly claims former Fox News Corp. Chairman Roger Ailes sexually harassed her on numerous occasions shortly after she was hired a decade ago? And also considering the fact that Kelly clearly has no respect for Sean Hannity ? And also considering that Kelly is not a very big fan of Donald Trump, the impending President of the United States who will have the full support of Fox News and its unfair and non-balanced reporters? It really shouldn’t be. In fact, this move should have been an obvious one to see coming. But still. We understand the idea of Megyn Kelly appearing on any network other than Fox is jarring. And Kelly clearly understands this as well. That’s why she has issued a lengthy Facebook post in response to her decision going public. “Over a dozen years ago I started at Fox News in a job that would change my life,” she wrote this afternoon, continung: “Now, I have decided to end my time at FNC, incredibly enriched for the experiences I’ve had. I have agreed to join NBC News, where I will be launching a new daytime show Monday through Friday, along with a Sunday evening news magazine program. “I will also participate in NBC’s breaking news coverage and its political and special events coverage.” Concluded the 46-year old: “While I will greatly miss my colleagues at Fox, I am delighted to be joining the NBC News family and taking on a new challenge. “I remain deeply grateful to Fox News, to Rupert, Lachlan and James Murdoch, and especially to all of the FNC viewers, who have taught me so much about what really matters. “More to come soon. … Happy New Year, and God bless.” Megyn Kelly Throws Shade at Roger Ailes In announcing the hiring of Kelly, Andrew Lack, chairman of NBC News, said the following: “Megyn is an exceptional journalist and news anchor, who has had an extraordinary career. She’s demonstrated tremendous skill and poise, and we’re lucky to have her.” And while Kelly’s contract at Fox runs through this summer, it sounds as though she’ll be let out of it early. We still aren’t sure when she’ll first appear on NBC, but Fox News has announced she will only anchor The Kelly File through Friday, January 6. Added Rupert Murdoch, the executive chairman of 21st Century Fox: “We thank Megyn Kelly for her 12 years of contributions to FOX News. We hope she enjoys tremendous success in her career and wish her and her family all the best.” Megyn Kelly Cracks Up Over Donald Trump Kelly has hinted at not just a move away from Fox for some time, but a move away from primetime. Hosting a daytime show will allow her to spend more time with her children – Edward, 7, Yardley, 5, and Thatcher, 3 – whom she shares with husband Douglas Brunt. This was allegedly a major selling point for NBC. The question now remains, though: Will Kelly have the same sort of following at NBC that she had at Fox News? WILL YOU WATCH MEGYN KELLY’S NEW SHOW ON NBC? Yes, I love her! No way, Fox News 4 lyfe! Who is Megyn Kelly? View Poll »

Dear Bossip: My Husband Cheated & Left Us Because He Thinks He’s Going To Die

Dear Bossip , My husband and I have been together going on 24 years. I recently found out he cheated on me and it floored me. I have always been a great wife and always kept it sexy till today. I never let myself go, and I am always at the gym. I also make sure our household is on point. We have 4 kids – My oldest son who he raised since he was 2 years old. His twins that I raised since they were one year old, and, our own child. My husband was recently diagnosed with heart problems and had to have stents put in his heart. His brother had a heart attack at 30 years of age and passed away. His father died of a heart attack at the aged of 56 years of age, and his mom has stents put in her heart. His older brother has also had heart surgery. Once this happened, things really changed in our relationship. He started hanging out more and staying out. I spoke to someone who said he is going through a mid-life crisis. I sat and spoke to him and he stated that he feels he does not have long to live and wants to enjoy life. I can understand that, but when the fun turns into missed calls, not answering your phone, and making up lies now we have a problem. And, then, I became a detective. I found out he cheated and I told him we were done and he needed to leave. He went to stay at his mother’s house and he has been there for the past 6 months. We keep in contact, but I feel now that he is doing way more out there, and he is saying “THE HELL” to out 24 year relationship. I am finding out thing and I don’t like it. He tells me he loves me with all his heart and that he doesn’t want to hurt me, but he also says that he needs to find himself. I haven’t been with anyone, not because I can’t, it’s because I don’t want too. I truly do love him and want my marriage to work, but it cannot be one sided either. As a man, if I just leave him be, is there a possibility to reconnect in order to create a new bond, strengthen the old one, build a friendship and go back to what once was that brought us together? Do you think me just leaving him alone is right, meaning, don’t ask questions, don’t keep tabs, don’t act jealous, and don’t bring up the cheating? Should I just do not bother him and just give him his space? Do you think he will realize what he had? You keep it so real and to the point that I truly do value you honest option. – Still Hoping For The Best Dear Ms. Still Hoping For The Best , Your husband is gone. He has checked out of your marriage. He has checked out of your relationship. He has checked out of life. He would rather run himself into fast and quick into the ground, rather than focus on the positive things he has in his life, such as your marriage, his family, loved ones, and the love that you and he built for 24 years. Sadly, he has witnessed his own family members die from heart attacks, and another sibling and his mother have stents in their hearts, so, he doesn’t see any hope or future for himself. He has accepted a fate that he feels is determinate and will ultimately lead to nothing gained, ventured, or lived. So, he’d rather live out his days fast, hard, and doing what he feels is a life of no regrets. It is sad that he doesn’t realize the wonderful life he has built with you for 24 years, and the children he has helped to create. He could be spending lots of time with his children building and creating memories that will live forever with them, but he can’t see that. He can’t see how this will affect them in the long run. He has become selfish and self-absorbed thinking only of himself. He would rather throw 24 years down the drain. Unfortunately, he sees things differently than you, and he doesn’t see the pain, and hurt he is causing all those who are around him and love him. He is committed to self-destruction, but his self-destruction seems eminent because for him it’s “I’m going to die anyway, so I may as well live how I want to live.” I don’t think he will realize or recognize what he has done or is doing to you until he is on his deathbed and he sees you, his children, and all those who love him surrounding him. He may beg and ask for forgiveness at that time, but it will be too late. He has already done the damage. So, your question is there a possibility to reconnect in order to create a new bond, strengthen the old one, build a friendship and go back to what once was that brought us together? Ma’am, I don’t know. But, I do know it will never go back to what once was that brought you together. That will not happen. I am all for new possibilities, but unless he is willing to see the possibility to reconnect to create a new bond, then it won’t happen. He has to be willing to change, to turn around, and come back home. You would think that this wake up call would cause him to create a new bond with you, his children, and his family. But, it hasn’t. He has turned to doing him and doing him at any and all costs. He has turned his back on you, and is not interested in building a friendship, or strengthening what you once had. He is about himself. Next you want to know that if you should just leave him alone, meaning, don’t ask questions, don’t keep tabs, don’t act jealous, and don’t bring up the cheating? Well, you’re still married. He is self-destructing right before your eyes. You’ve caught him cheating, and you know he is in the streets doing whatever and with whom. So, why ignore it? You are his wife and he is your husband. He is destroying your family, and your household. He is causing you grief, pain, and agony. You can’t just ignore what he’s doing. He is still responsible as a father, a husband, a family man to be committed to you and his children. No, you shouldn’t let him off the hook. No, he doesn’t get a pass simply because he wants to live life to fullest, and it doesn’t include you. His actions and behaviors do affect you. Why be an a**hole? Why treat you all horribly? You all have not done anything to him. I don’t understand his rationale that he needs to find himself. Uhm, sir, you’ve had ample amount of time to find yourself. You don’t get married, create a family, build 24 years of a marriage and then decide you need to find yourself. No, that’s not how this works, and this is not how you go about doing things, especially when you’ve brought other people into your life. They didn’t ask for anything of this, so why would you treat them like this? I get that he has a life scare, and he is not sure of the amount of time he has. But, why not take care of yourself, find resources and understand your health choices and decisions and how these may prolong your life. Why not invest in ensuring you live longer so that you can enjoy life with those who love you, and those whom you claim you love? Ma’am, your husband has been gone for six months, and it’s time to consider your options. You either get divorced and let him do him. Let him find himself, and let him run himself into the ground. Or, you and he have a serious talk. You don’t hold back anything, and you let him know how all of this is affecting you, his children, and those who love him. You let him know what 24 years of marriage has been built upon, and remind him that his marriage vows are for better or worse, and in sickness and health. He can’t abandon you all. That’s not what he agreed upon when he asked you to marry him. So, hold him accountable. Then, you get into therapy/marriage counseling, and then you find treatment plans and doctors who can give him options on how to extend his life. If he is not on board with any of these, then, you have to let him go. Let him go and do him. You can’t stop living your life and chasing after him and playing marriage detective. You have children to raise, a family to look after, and your own mental, emotional and physical well-being to be concerned with. Your children need at least one sane and healthy parent, so, don’t let him lead you down a path of destruction following him and worrying about him. – Terrance Dean Hey Bossip Fam, what do you think? Eva Amurri Lashes Out at Critics: Parenthood is Not a Competition!

Earlier this week, Eva Amurri Martino made a startling confession: In a blog post she penned on New Year’s Day, the actress revealed on her website, HappilyEvaAfter.com, that her 10-week-old son Major James, “ cracked his head on the hardwood floor ” after the family’s night nurse fell asleep while holding him. How awful, right? Martino explained what happened and the aftermath as follows: “He suffered a fractured skull and bleeding on his brain, and was transported by ambulance to Yale Medical Center. “I spent two harrowing days with him to receive emergency care and further testing. To say these were the most traumatic and anxious two days of my life is an understatement.” We can only imagine. Our only reaction to this story was to send Eva and her husband our best wishes and our hope that their child makes a full recovery. But some folks out there felt differently. They took issue with Eva having a night nurse in the first place, questioning how she can consider herself to be a responsible parent if someone else is holding, feeding and rocking her baby at home. Why? Because people suck. They think that an Internet connection gives them a right to share every asinine opinion that comes into their head. In response to the incident, her sharing of it and the response it has received, Eva at first showed gratitude to her fans. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has reached out with words of comfort or to share their own stories the past 24 hours,” she wrote on Instagram today, as the opening to a lengthy caption. She continued: “It is so moving to know there are so many of you who are wishing our sweet boy well, and who are rooting us on as a family.” The daughter of Susan Sarandon then addressed her critics. “I’d like to say one thing, which is that Parenthood is not a competition. Nobody gets an award at the end of all of it for doing it the best or most perfect way. “All that matters is how we make our children feel, how we feel about them, and how we feel about ourselves as parents.” Really. Shouldn’t this be obvious? “To those who have expressed judgement, cruelty, and criticism of me, my choices, or my fragility during this time- I’m not going to justify myself to you,” she concluded. “But I sincerely wish that 2017 brings you enough self love and confidence that you no longer feel the need to tear down another person during their darkest moment. “Peace, please. Xx EAM.” She’s a bigger person than we are. We’d have likely used certain words in our reply that our children will hopefully not learn until their teenage years. We’re not above making fun of certain parents out there in a jovial manner. See what we mean below: View Slideshow: 18 Cute Kids Who Deserve Better Parents But when a mother just say at her baby’s hospital bedside for days due to a simple accident? You really need to question her life choices if you hide behind a computer and give her crap after that.

Eva Amurri: My Night Nurse Dropped My Baby!

Eva Amurri has opened up about the possibility of her suffering from depression in the aftermath of a freak accident which resulted in her son having a cracked skull .  The freak accident occurred while Eva and her husband were asleep and their night nurse was looking after Major James.  “A couple of days after Thanksgiving, our Night Nurse fell asleep while holding Major and dropped him, and he cracked his head on the hardwood floor,” Amurri Martino, 31, wrote. “[Husband Kyle Martino] and I were sleeping at the time and were awoken by the sound of his head hitting the floor, and then hysterical piercing screams. Added Amurri Martino, “He suffered a fractured skull and bleeding on his brain, and was transported by ambulance to Yale Medical Center where I spent two harrowing days with him to receive emergency care and further testing. To say these were the most traumatic and anxious two days of my life is an understatement.” This is genuinely one of the most shocking, heartbreaking stories we’ve ever reported on. When you leave your child in the care of someone else, you don’t expect anything of this nature to happen.  Thankfully, it seems like Major James is making a good recovery.  “But here’s the good part: by the grace of all of his many angels, and every God one cares to pray to, MAJOR IS FINE. Completely fine,” she wrote. “He has been healing well, hitting milestones, cooing, smiling, and generally showing us that he is and will be ok as he grows and develops.”  “I chose not to share [for] fear of judgement. The internet can be a peculiar place, where some people forget about humanity and go for the jugular. I know that this news might reach many, and of those many there will always be the people who say that this accident was my fault,” she wrote. “That if it had been me in there holding him instead of a Night Nurse, that this never would have happened. That I deserve this for allowing my child to be in the care of somebody other than me.” “Well, let me tell you– the guilt I bore in the days and weeks after this accident was more intense and more damaging than anything I would wish upon my worst enemy. I had all those same thoughts and more.” She continued, “I wept in the hospital, telling anyone who would listen that it should have been me. That I was to blame. The truth is, even this woman who came so highly recommended, with a perfectly clean track record, could make a very human mistake. It ‘could happen to anyone,’ and as they told me repeatedly in the hospital, it DOES happen to anyone. More often than you’d like to hear.” View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Welcomed Babies in 2016 “Obviously, the (extremely upset and remorseful) nurse is no longer working for our family, though we forgive her. And even though I finally made peace with the fact that this freak accident could not have been avoided by me, it has continued to effect me to my core and in all aspects of my daily life.” The actress then revealed that she did not trust anyone to look after her child anymore. “It’s nearly impossible for me to trust anyone but myself to take care of Major now,” she wrote. “Hearing Major cry hard immediately triggers my memories of the moments after the accident and instigates an immediate panic attack – my heart races and tears spring to my eyes.” Eva took to Instagram just yesterday to wish her fans a happy new year, with a cute picture of herself and her family.
