It’s been over five months since Demi Lovato suffered an overdose that nearly claimed her life. Lovato checked into rehab after the incident and spent 90 days dividing her time between two top-notch facilities and two teams of experts. These days, the singer is out of treatment, and insiders say she’s fully committed to the hard work of recovery. Lovato has been sharing frequent updates with her fans on social media, and yesterday, she took to Instagram to post some holiday photos. While it appears that Demi had a very merry Christmas, she’s also experienced some frustrations as of late, and she took to Twitter last week to clear the air. “If I feel like the world needs to know something, I will tell them MYSELF,” the singer tweeted on December 21. “Otherwise people stop writing about my recovery, because it’s no one’s business but mine. I am sober and grateful to be alive and taking care of ME. “Someday I’ll tell the world what exactly happened, why it happened and what my life is like today.. but until I’m ready to share that with people please stop prying and making up shit that you know nothing about. I still need space and time to heal.” Lovato continued: “I would love to set the record straight on all the rumors out there but I literally don’t owe anyone anything so I’m not going to. All my fans need to know is I’m working hard on myself, I’m happy and clean and I’m SO grateful for their support. “I’m so blessed I get to take this time to be with family, relax, work on my mind, body and soul and come back when I’m ready. I have my fans to thank for that. I’m so grateful, truly. I love you guys so fucking much thank you.” While fans have been eager for updates on Demi’s health, most of the responses to her tweets were messages of support and promises to respect her privacy. It’s certainly understandable that Lovato would prefer to avoid public scrutiny during her healing process, and given her close relationship with her fans, we’re sure she’ll offer more information when she feels the time is right. When Jersey Shore fans first met Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, he was a cocaine-fueled party monster who lived to create drama. These days, Mike has done a complete 180 and turned his life around in truly admirable fashion. Unfortunately, in the eyes of the criminal justice system, The Sitch still has much to atone for. Back in Sorrentino pled guilty to tax fraud . Federal investigators allege that the 36-year-old had failed to pay taxes on more than $9 million in earnings. In October, Sorrentino was sentenced to 8 months in prison. He’ll be able to spend the holidays with his family but must turn himself in to authorities on January 15. That’s the bad news. The good news is that Mike recently celebrated a major victory in his battle against substance abuse. Mike posted the above photo to Instagram this week, allowing with the following caption: “Big daddy Sitch celebrating 3 years of sobriety & teaming up with @discoveryinstitute_nj to bring a holiday meal to Phoenix Recovery House in Eatontown NJ for Christmas,” Sorrentino wrote. Yes, in case you had any doubt that The Sitch is a changed man, he decided to celebrate his sobriety to giving back to others. In his latest Instagram story, Mike wrote, “2019 will be your year of advancement … God is taking you to another level.” Despite the hardships ahead, it seems Mike is genuinely optimistic about his future — and with good reason. Last month, Sorrentino married Lauren Pesce , the college sweetheart, whom he’s been dating on and off for more than 15 years. “He just wants to get his time done, come home and start his life over. The wedding has been a great distraction for him,” a source told Us Weekly just prior to the wedding. “He and Lauren are just focusing on getting ready for their wedding,” the insider adds. “Once it’s done, he really wants to spend as much time as he can with her before he leaves. “He’s looking forward to working up until he goes away.” We hope he’s been able to do exactly that in the weeks to come. Back in July, Demi Lovato had a drug overdose. It was really a very scary time. We still don’t know every single detail of what happened, but we do know that she was found unconscious in her home , and that she was rushed to the hospital where she spent several days recuperating. At first, reports alleged that she’d overdosed on heroin, but other outlets insisted that wasn’t the case. One woman, a nurse who claimed she treated Demi, insisted that her problem was methamphetamines. We do know that she was given Narcan , a drug used to block the affects of opioids, when paramedics showed up at her home. That, along with reports that track marks were seen on her arms at the hospital, makes it sound like she really could have been doing heroin. When she left the hospital, she went straight to rehab , and she stayed there until November. After that, she reportedly began dating a designer named Henry Levy — they were photographed kissing earlier this month . A lot of people think that this relationship isn’t the best idea, since it’s often advised that addicts avoid new relationships in the early days of recovery. Also because Henry is an addict himself, and word is that Demi even met him in rehab. It’s just a sticky situation, and according to a report from last week, “she has not been keeping up with her recovery commitments and seems to be falling back into her dangerous old L.A. lifestyle” since getting with Henry. It doesn’t sound good, right? But last night, Demi herself hopped on Twitter to set the record straight. And she’s obviously not happy about the things being said about her. “I love my fans,” she began, “and hate tabloids. Don’t believe what you read.” “People will literally make up stuff to sell a story. Sickening.” She continued by saying that “If I feel like the world needs to know something, I will tell them MYSELF.” “Otherwise people stop writing about my recovery, because it’s no one’s business but mine.” “I am sober and grateful to be alive and taking care of ME,” she insisted. I’m so grateful, truly. I love you guys so f-cking much.” So … OK. She’s absolutely right in that she doesn’t owe it to anyone to give the details on what happened with her relapse and her overdose. It’s great that she feels comfortable taking a break to get herself back together, and she should stay out of the spotlight until she’s truly ready to come back. But Twitter ranting is rarely the sign of a truly healthy, happy person, you know? If Demi is really so happy — and we honestly hope she is — then we’d just hope that she wouldn’t feel the need to go off like this on social media. Just live your life, girl, please. This week DJ Franchise and Landon Levarius do a deep dive into Jennifer Lopez’s new movie, Second Act , which hit theaters on December 21, 2018 and is directed by Peter Segal. The film is about Jennifer’s character, Maya Vargas, who is a Value Shop assistant manager and desperately wants a promotion for her 43rd birthday. With the help of her friend Zoe, played by Vanessa Hudgens, Maya Vargas enhances her less than stellar resume to match her street smarts and reinvents her life and her life-story for the job of her dreams. The film got a 57% on Rotten Tomatoes and The New York Times said that “Jennifer Lopez Deserves Better” but what does Global Grind think? Franchise and Landon dig into the movie and surprisingly when it comes to J. Lo’s acting, they’re actually impressed by her skill. As far as her ability to act and portray a homely, minimum wage worker turned high level exec, Jennifer Lopez was able to execute the role flawlessly. DJ Franchise had a few things about the film that he wasn’t in love with. One of which was what he called the “Disney fee”, which you likely will get from most romantic comedies. He also feels that the film would have been even better if Jenny was actually from the block. Otherwise, according to our resident bully DJ Franchise, Second Act wasn’t half bad. When you really think about it, it's impressive: Just when we thought Jenelle Evans had humiliated herself in every possible way, she discovers a new and bizarre method for making herself look like a damn fool. As you probably already know, Jenelle has been feuding with Kailyn Lowry for years. And you're probably also aware that her animosity toward Kail has caused Jenelle to engage in some behavior that's truly bonkers — even by Jenelle Evans standards. But Jenelle's latest attempt at revenge might be her most bizarre and hilariously misguided to date. The whole thing is classic Jenelle — pointlessly mean-spirited, potentially dangerous, embarrassingly try-hard, and above all, very, very dumb. Take a look: 1. Better Days It wasn’t all that long ago that Kail and Jenelle were close friends. These days, however, the Teen Mom 2 co-stars are bitter rivals. 2. Trying Her Best Kail is still no fan of Jenelle’s, but she seems to have arrived at the conclusion that there’s no need for two grown colleagues to engage in non-stop petty squabbles on social media. 3. Genuine Concern And so, when David Eason was flashing his guns and threatening elected officials on Instagram last week, Kail reached out to Jenelle in order to ensure she was safe. 4. No Luck Lowry wasn’t able to get in touch with Evans, but she still tried to mend fences with her co-star and former friend. 5. The Gift That Keeps on Giving And so, Kail sent Jenelle the only gift that could warm the Carolina Hurricane’s cold, cold heart. We’re talking, of course, about weed. 6. But Seriously … Okay, Kail didn’t actually give Jenelle the gift of cannabis. Instead, she sent samples from her Pothead haircare line, which features products made from hemp-derived CBD oil. Now that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have reached a custody deal at the eleventh hour, what’s next? Apparently, Angelina is planning to expose exactly what sort of man her famous ex-husband really is. Per reports, she is planning to do a tell-all interview on television. But there’s a twist. … RadarOnline reports that Angelina Jolie is planning to do a tasteful tell-all on television. She and Brad have settled their divorce and even reached a custody agreement, but the anomisity lingers. Even so, don’t expect her to directly insult Brad. “Part of their settlement includes a clause that prevents them from directly trashing each other,” an insider reveals. The source continues: “but Angie’s smart enough to find a way around that.” Good for her. We have all seen the way that Angelina has been demonized in the press during her divorce from Brad. So many people seemed convinced that she was some sort of monster for keeping her kids from him as much as she could. “These two hate each other still with a passion,” the insider shares. That much has been very clear from their court battle. “And,” the source continues. “She’s very keen to set things straight, even if it’s done subtly.” So she probably can’t tell the world exactly what Brad did on that fateful plane ride that caused her to file for divorce and report him tot he FBI for child-abuse. Maddox will be an adult soon and perhaps he’ll feel like sharing his story then. In the mean time, Angelina will find her own way to indirectly get the point across. “When she goes on TV,” the insider reveals, she has a plan. “She’s likely to promote charities that support women after abusive relationships, single moms dealing with deadbeat dads,” the source says. “That type of stuff,” the insider notes. “That’ll be indirectly aimed at Brad.” Brad has appeared to do his best to push his sob story. In so many reports, he’s portrayed as a victim whose family was destroyed by Angelina’s capricious whims and who just wants his kids back. While we don’t know exactly what happened, it’s safe to say that Angelina didn’t wake up one day with a sudden impulse to turn her life upside down. It appears that everything that she has done since filing for divorce has been for the couples six children. No matter what, of Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 10, all come first. To that end, she’s been portrayed as a heartless villain. Perhaps, with her planned tell-all, this will change. Of course, is it really a “tell-all” interview if she cannot, in fact, tell all even if she has the desire? Doing an interview and promoting some extremely worthy causes is hardly the same as calling out your ex. Of course, that may be exactly why Angelina is reportedly so keen on doing it. If she doesn’t mention Brad in any negative way at all, it will give her total plausible deniability. But even if Angelina doesn’t say anything, people will doubtless read into her every word — and into what she doesn’t reveal. Hopefully, the truth will come out eventually. In earlier teasers, we knew that Jazz Jennings' gender confirmation surgery had a complication . As this trailer makes clear, viewers will see the drama before, during, and after her surgery. On top of that, we'll see Jazz tackle a difficult interview … and the new man in her life. This new season of I Am Jazz is going to be full of major life milestones. Notably, Jazz undergoes a challenging genital surgery. “I’ve been waiting for this my whole life,” Jazz gushes about her upcoming procedure. “And now it’s time.” While we know that Jazz is doing great after the operation, there were a number of problems for surgeons. “The surgical team haven’t figured out what approach they’re going to take to building my vagina,” Jazz admits in the trailer. Not every transgender person gets bottom surgery — the term for gender confirmation surgery performed upon genitals. It's expensive, there are risks, it can be imperfect, and most importantly, gender and genitals are not synonymous. But it's not a new procedure, and there have been great strides towards protecting the process during recent decades. Still, one of Jazz's surgeons admits that giving Jazz a vagina will be “the most difficult case that I have encountered.” Why? It's complicated. Jazz was lucky enough to have a supportive family as a child, so she was able to go on puberty blockers and then the right hormones. This spared her the indignity of going through the wrong kind of puberty and meant that she was able to grow her own breasts. However, that meant that her genitals never grew, which means that doctors have less tissue with which to work. Resourceful surgeons ultimately decided to use part of the lining of her peritoneum, which is located in her abdominal cavity. This was a source of extra tissue and is also regenerative. But there's more to Jazz's journey this season than her bottom surgery. She turned 18 this past year, and while fans have seen her dip her toes in the dating world before, it looks like things are more serious now. “I feel like I’ve been ready to fall in love for so long,” she tells her brother in one scene. Jazz describes love: “It’s like the ultimate connection.” Yep. She has a specific boy on her life — and his name is Amir. “There’s a boy in the picture now,” Jennings reveals. “Amir just gets me, and I get him.” “Have you kissed him yet?” one of Jazz's friends asks during the trailer. Jazz is almost surprised by the question, and says: “I’ve kissed him a lot.” That is an extremely age-appropriate answer. The new season of I Am Jazz premieres on Tuesday, January 1, at 10pm. Other elements of this season teased by the new trailer include a difficult interview that she gave in 2018. Additionally, she has a spiritual consultation that seems to urge her to put off her surgery by just a short while. Jazz had to wait her entire life, so we'll understand if she didn't heed that advice.

Not only did Kanye attend Travis’ concert at The Forum in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, but on Thursday, Rolling Stone released their latest cover with who else but La Flame himself. And of course, in the article, Scott touches on his relationship with Ye following everything that’s been going down in the media recently. Among other things, Scott addresses Kanye’s affinity for donning a Make America Great Again hat for those couple of weeks earlier this year, and how that made him feel as a fan and as a friend. “I mean, s**t, I’d tell him, ‘Bro, chill. What you gotta understand is, young black kids are looking up to you, and the message you used to preach in your earlier music? It’ll make a young black kid—it’ll make any kid —confused,’” Scott explained to Rolling Stone . “That s**t was — come on. But when Ye get on some shit, he on some shit. I don’t know if that n***a just liked the hat or what, dog. Ye deals with different s**t in his life. That’s family. You don’t wanna desert your bro. Everybody go through s**t. He still a dope musician. But he’s definitely hit me up about it, and I’ve told him, ‘Man, you got kids looking up to you, feel me?’” Scott’s comments in Rolling Stone mimic many of Kanye’s friends, and arrive shortly after Pusha-T addressed the same subject in his appearance on The Daily Show .
