Christina and Tarek El Moussa are over as a couple. But as reality television personalities, they’re just getting started. This summer, we told you that Christina El Moussa is getting her own show in addition to the new season of Flip or Flop . Now, she’s been spotted filming the new series, and we know a lot more about it. The Daily Mail reports that On Wednesday, Christina El Moussa was spotted in Anaheim, California. She was apparently all smiles. The 35-year-old Flip or Flop star and mother of 2 was filming her new show. Christina on the Coast will begin with 8 episodes. This new series follows her as she expands her design business in Southern California. Her goal is to totally transform more outdated properties into “high-end showplaces.” Nice! Fans who are concerned that Christina’s new show will be all business needn’t worry. Earlier this summer, Christina told The Hollywood Reporter that her family is going to play a role. “Each episode is going to show a glimpse into a real life,” Christina assured fans. That will include fans seeing her “selling my home in Yorba Linda, house-hunting and moving into my new place.” “It is going to show me trying to balance it all with kids and work,” Christina says. And, it is expected, fans will also see her real-life romance with boyfriend Ant Anstead . Christina on the Coast will premiere in early 2019. In a statement about the series, Christina set the stage by providing a little context. “The past few years have brought a lot of change into my life,” Christina says. “And,” she continues. “I am so excited to see what the next stage has in store for me both professionally and personally.” “There is so much to look forward to,” Christina concludes. “And this is only the beginning.” Christina and fans aren’t the only ones who are hyped for this new series. HGTV and Food President Allison Page has also spoken about why this show makes so much sense. “Christina’s design style is very popular,” Page says. “So it’s a natural progression for us to expand her visibility with a new series.” “Her fans also are deeply vested in her personal life,” Page understates. “And eager to see what happens next.” Fans are, in fact, deeply invested in the El Moussa family. “So,” Page concludes. “We’re bringing them the opportunity to share in these real-life moments in a way that no one else can.” Tarek El Moussa may be getting his own series, too. Of course, Tarek and Christina are both sticking with Flip or Flop . Despite the drama (Tarek had a gun and Christina feared that he would take his own life) that led to their breakup and ultimately their divorce, they’re working together. For the fans, for the show, and of course, for the money. (There’s nothing wrong with that, folks) Romantically, however, they have both moved on. Of course, their two children remain the centers of their world. Fans don’t need their shows to know that — both Christina and Tarek make that abundantly clear on social media. “Our kinda Sunday Funday,” Christina wrote beside a recent glimpse at a family bike ride. “Loving beach life.” She added: “P.S. Swift just dropped this IG note on her political views and, spoiler alert: she’s voting democrat. I’m writing this post about the upcoming midterm elections on November 6th, in which I’ll be voting in the state of Tennessee. In the past I’ve been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now. I always have and always will cast my vote based on which candidate will protect and fight for the human rights I believe we all deserve in this country. I believe in the fight for LGBTQ rights, and that any form of discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender is WRONG. I believe that the systemic racism we still see in this country towards people of color is terrifying, sickening and prevalent. I cannot vote for someone who will not be willing to fight for dignity for ALL Americans, no matter their skin color, gender or who they love. Running for Senate in the state of Tennessee is a woman named Marsha Blackburn. As much as I have in the past and would like to continue voting for women in office, I cannot support Marsha Blackburn. Her voting record in Congress appalls and terrifies me. She voted against equal pay for women. She voted against the Reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, which attempts to protect women from domestic violence, stalking, and date rape. She believes businesses have a right to refuse service to gay couples. She also believes they should not have the right to marry. These are not MY Tennessee values. I will be voting for Phil Bredesen for Senate and Jim Cooper for House of Representatives. Please, please educate yourself on the candidates running in your state and vote based on who most closely represents your values. For a lot of us, we may never find a candidate or party with whom we agree 100% on every issue, but we have to vote anyway. So many intelligent, thoughtful, self-possessed people have turned 18 in the past two years and now have the right and privilege to make their vote count. Giving a voice to the voiceless and speaking out against injustice was in the boxer’s DNA. According to the Washington Post , new genetic research shows that one of Ali’s ancestors was a slave who fearlessly fought for freedom. Alexander, who according to DNA evidence was Ali’s great-great-great grandfather, escaped from slavery and was instrumental in secretively providing the Union Army with information during the Civil War era. While enslaved in Missouri, he was owned by an individual who believed in Confederacy. Alexander risked his life sharing news about the Confederate troops’ whereabouts and plans with Union soldiers, ultimately saving several lives. After it was discovered that he was providing information to the Union Army, he made his escape and went to St. Louis where he worked for Washington University’s co-founder William Greenleaf Eliot who protected him from slave catchers. Alexander’s heroic efforts are symbolized by a statue dubbed the Emancipation Memorial in Washington, D.C.’s Lincoln Park. Keith Winstead , Ali’s cousin, was the one who discovered the genealogical connection. “The beautiful thing about Ali is that he acted all along as if he were royalty, that he had a claim to greatness,” author of Ali: A Life Jonathan Eig told the news outlet. “Ali spent much of his life attacking racist ideas. If he had known that his great-great-great grandfather was such a brave and intelligent man, it surely would have strengthened his argument.” His daughter Maryum Ali says that he would have been proud to know that Alexander was one of his ancestors. Although Ali passed away two years ago, his family continues to carry on his legacy by speaking out against injustice. A year ago ago at this time, we were unsure if Alaskan Bush People would return for an eighth season. To be frank, we were unsure whether Ami Brown would even be alive right now. The veteran reality star had been diagnosed with stage four lung cancer and her prognosis was grim. But here we are now, and, we’re so very happy to say, here Ami is now: still alive, still kicking, still starring on Alaskan Bush People. The Discovery Channel hit recently wrapped filming on Season 8, which focused on the family moving from Alaska to Washington because Ami had to be closer to doctors who could assist with her pressing medical needs. It hasn’t been an easy adjustment, especially because the Browns can never go back home , but it beats the alternative, right? Again: Ami is alive. And now we’ve received word that the show is as well. Alaskan Bush People is coming back for Season 9. With Ami on the mend, the central storyline will move from her health battle to the struggles of Matt Brown, who announced last month that he is headed for rehab . This is bad news for the family, but actually positive news from the view of Discovery Channel executives. It has given them new content for future episodes. “Everyone is interested to see if he is able to overcome his addiction battle,” an insider tells Radar Online of the reaction to Matt’s admission. Upon confirming he is seeking professional assistance, this is what Brown said to People Magazine: “I struggle with substance abuse, and after a year of ups and downs, I decided to return to treatment. “I’m really grateful for everyone’s support and hope to have my life back on track soon.” Matt is the oldest of all Ami and Billy’s children. Back in 2016, he checked into treatment after being arrested for DUI in Juneau, Alaska. According to Radar Online, he remained on the straight and narrow, fully on the wagon… until last year, when he started drinking again to cope with his his mother’s tragic diagnosis. A terminal illness for a parent is an understandable trigger for anyone that has dependency issues. In an interview with People, Ami touched on Matt having to go to rehab prior to the Season 8 finale being shot and said: “It’s hard not having one of my babies here with us. When Johnny Depp and Amber Heard finalized their divorce back in January of 2017, the actors signed a nondisclosure agreement that prevented them from speaking to the press about their marriage. Sources say both parties considered it the best path forward, as it would enable them to focus on their careers and avoid public conjecture about their personal lives. But unquestionably, no one benefited as much from the arrangement as Depp. Heard had accused Depp of abuse , and photos of the injuries she allegedly sustained at his hands stunned the internet. In the current climate of Hollywood, it seems very likely that if we knew all of the details of Depp’s behavior toward Heard in the final months of their marriage, he would never work again. And that’s a large part of why those details were supposed to be forever buried by that NDA. Which is why it’s so bizarre that Depp continues to make counter-claims against Heard, thus dragging the whole messy situation back out into the open. Back in June, he hinted at being unfairly denigrated by Heard in a bizarre, rambling Rolling Stone interview. And this week, Depp spoke with British GQ and claimed it’s not possible that he could have been physically abusive toward Heard, as he’s not that “dumb.” “To harm someone you love? As a kind of bully? No, it didn’t, it couldn’t even sound like me,” Depp told the magazine. Lawyers for Heard promptly issued a statement accusing Depp of continued psychological abuse: “Mr. Depp is shamefully continuing his psychological abuse of Ms. Heard, who has attempted to put a very painful part of her life firmly in her past,” their statement reads. “One need only look at the physical evidence to draw the proper conclusion.” Depp’s attorneys quickly shot back with a statement of their own, claiming that they’ll soon reveal in a London courtroom that Heard was violent toward Depp on multiple occasions: “In UK court proceedings next month, we will be submitting clear evidence of the violence committed serially against him by Ms. Heard and the serious injuries that he suffered,” Depp’s lawyer Adam Waldman said in a statement released on Wednesday night. “We will also submit overwhelming evidence that Ms. Heard faked the abuse allegations against Mr. Depp.” This is not the first time that Depp has claimed he was physically abused by Heard. The actor previously claimed Heard punched him in the face in front of multiple witnesses after flying into a rage because he was late to a party. He also says Heard defecated on his bed as an act of revenge. Again, we’re baffled as to why Johnny would air all this dirty laundry in public. Tonight, millions of Americans will tune in to see their favorite gang of guidos return to their original stomping ground as Jersey Shore Family Vacation relocates to Seaside Heights. And tomorrow morning, one of those hard-partying fist-pumpers will go before a judge and learn his fate. Yes, as you may recall, Mike Sorrentino pled guilty to tax fraud back in January. Under the terms of his plea deal, the Situation faces five years in prison and up to $250,000 in fines. Sorrentino is due to be sentenced at 11:30 on Friday morning. Legal experts who have followed the case say it’s unlikely that he’ll receive the full five year maximum — but he’ll almost certainly do some jail time. Back in February of 2014, Mike and his brother Marc were indicted for failing to pay taxes on $8.9 million in earnings. They were accused of covering up their crimes by filing false tax returns in connection to Mike’s business ventures. Mike was hit with additional charges of tax evasion and structuring funds to avoid currency transaction reports in April of 2017. He pled guilty to one such charge as part of his plea deal, with the understanding that doing so would likely land him behind bars. Needless to say, Sorrentino has quite a bit working against him. But there’s also a lot that might help him in the eyes of a sentencing judge. Mike entered rehab and got sober back in 2015, and he got engaged to Lauren Pesce in April. The Sitch has been on his best behavior on the current season of Shore , and you can bet his lawyers will remind the judge of the many ways in which he’s turned his life around. In the days leading up to his sentencing Mike, has celebrated his sobriety and prayed for a beneficial resolution to his legal woes. “God grant me the serenity to stop beating myself up for not doing things perfectly,” Sorrentino tweeted this week. Sorrentino is due to marry Pesce in November, but no matter what happens tomorrow, he won’t immediately be taken into custody, so prison shouldn’t interfere with those plans. Nicolas Cage’s career has survived a number of bizarre rumors and scandals, but the latest allegations against the famously eccentric actor could mean that his acting days are over. According to court documents obtained by Radar Online, Cage’s ex-girlfriend, Vickie Park, accused Cage of assaulting her while “severely intoxicated” at the SLASH Film Festival in Vienna last month. According to Park’s filing, Cage “abused” her on September 20. She attributed the actor’s behavior to a combination of alcohol abuse and mental illness. “I am already aware of his alcohol addiction, depression and mental illness as his mother is also currently still facilitated in mental ward,” Park wrote. Park says that in addition to that incident, she has been the victim of a sustained and targeted harassment campaign carried out by Cage’s ex-wife, Alice Kim. Park says she feels unsafe in her own home, adding, “I am afraid for my life because of the stalking and harassment of his jealous ex-wife Alice Cage.” According to Park, the harassment began immediately after she started dating Cage in June of 2017. Park claims Kim has gone to great lengths to undermine her relationship with Cage and to damage her reputation. “[Kim] stalks my Instagram page which I now had to make private because I am afraid of her/ she sends Nic messages about me — spreading lies and rumors about me all over Los Angeles and Las Vegas as well,” Park claims. In her increasingly bizarre filing, Park goes on to claim that she became unwillingly caught up in a bitter divorce battle when she started dating Cage: “I am afraid and distressed from their toxic relationship being projected onto me — physically and mentally,” she says. “Currently they are in a divorce battle where she is requesting more than $30 to 40,000 dollars a month solely for herself without signing a contract without documenting how much of the money is going to their son, Kal.” Unfortunately for Park, the judge in her case found insufficient evidence to grant her a restraining order. According to the judge’s ruling, the facts of the case, as presented by Park, “do not sufficiently show acts of violence, threats of violence, or a course of conduct that seriously alarmed, annoyed, or harassed [Vickie Park] and caused substantial emotional distress.” For their part, Cage and Kim issued the following joint statement through their lawyers: “Nicolas and Alice Cage categorically deny the absurd allegations listed in the filing of a temporary restraining order against Alice Cage, which was denied by the court.” We’ll bring you further updates on this situation as more information becomes available.
