Adele Back At #1 On Billboard Chart, Pushing Britney Spears To #2

Spears drops to #2 as sales of Femme Fatale trail off in second week. By Gil Kaufman Adele’s 21 Photo: Columbia Records It’s a bit early to call it a changing of the guard, but British songbird Adele will make a strong case that she is a major force to be reckoned with on the Billboard charts next week when her album 21 retakes the #1 spot. Thanks to sales of 88,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan, Adele pulls the feat off — her fourth non-consecutive week at #1 since the album’s release in late February — while forcing last week’s #1, Britney Spears ‘ Femme Fatale , down to #2. Spears’ highly anticipated new effort suffers a steep drop-off in its second chart cycle , plunging 73 percent on sales of 75,000, for a two-week total of 352,000. In contrast, Adele has pushed past the 1 million mark in seven weeks to notch the best-selling album of 2011 to date. Also losing a significant amount (70 percent) of business in its second week is rapper Wiz Khalifa ‘s Rolling Papers , which falls three spots to #5 on sales of 59,000. Masked rap-rock crew Hollywood Undead scored their best chart debut ever with American Tragedy, which comes in at #4 (66,000), while little-known metalers Asking Alexandria come in at #9 on sales of 31,000. The rest of the top 10: Radiohead , King of Limbs (#3, 67,000); Chris Brown , F.A.M.E. (#6, 51,000); the iTunes Songs for Japan compilation (#7, 51,000); Mumford & Sons ‘ Sigh No More (#8, 34,000); and Kirk Franklin ‘s Hello Fear (#10, 31,000). Jennifer Hudson ‘s I Remember Me slips four spots to #11 as sales dip 46 percent to 31,000, while Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and former Band member Robbie Robertson scores a #13 debut (22,000) for How to Become Clairvoyant, his first studio album in 13 years. Rapper Jim Jones hits #20 with the debut of his latest, Capo (21,000), indie faves The Kills come in at #37 with Blood Pressures (13,000), and superstar DJ Ti

Foo Fighters Remain ‘Badass’ Making Wasting Light, PJs And All

Band’s raw new album — recorded in Dave Grohl’s garage — is in stores now. By James Montgomery Foo Fighters Photo: MTV News By now, you probably know all about how the Foo Fighters’ decided to make their brand-new Wasting Light album, in stores Tuesday (April 12), but you might not know why. After all, it’s not every day that a globally famous rock band decides to ditch the comforts of the studio for a cramped garage and trade in computers for a reel-to-reel tape machine. But, as Foos frontman Dave Grohl explained to MTV News, that was precisely the reason they did it. After all, the Foo Fighters aren’t your average globally famous rock band. “There’s some sort of nobility in being that band that can sell out a stadium, and then you make your record in a garage — like, to me, that’s badass — and to tape,” he said. “Because I’m sure most people would go and get the newest stuff and work in the nicest studio and spend a trillion dollars and just, like, try to make these computer hits. I like that we’re a band that, when we play live, we don’t have, like, computers and stuff behind us making half of what you’re hearing. And you know what? Sometimes we suck. Sometimes it sounds like, ‘Oh, wow, that guy’s not singing in key,’ or, ‘Whoa, that guitar’s out of tune.’ And I like that, because to me, that’s rock and roll.” That rough-around-the-edges spirit can be felt coursing throughout much of Wasting Light, the Foos’ rawest album to date. From knotty first single “Rope” and the neck-snapping pace of “White Limo” to the aching “I Should Have Known,” it’s an album that lets everything bleed — much to the dismay of the team of engineers brought in to helm the production. “It was my idea to do it to tape, which nobody does it to tape anymore, everyone uses computers, and computers are rad and whatever, but tape, you have to actually play, and you have to be good. You can try to make it sound as good as it can, but at the end of the day, you get what you get on tape, that’s it,” Grohl said. “When I first brought it up, I said, ‘Hey, I want to do this to tape,’ and everybody was like, ‘Well, can you do that?’ and I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s the way we used to do it,’ and Butch [Vig], the producer, he produced Nevermind, like, 20 years ago, and that was tape. … “But the first song we recorded, they were editing the tape, and as they wound it back, the tape just fell apart,” he continued. “And everyone was like, ‘Oh, we can’t use tape, we’ve got to go to computers.’ And I basically said, ‘If I see one computer in my house, you’re fired.’ Why go 99.9 percent of the way? If we’re going to do it, let’s go all the way.” Then again, Grohl will be the first to admit that, despite all the noble aspirations, there was another, deeply selfish reason he decided to record the album in his garage — one that had everything to do with his own comfort. “The making of this album was kind of the most fun we’ve ever had making a record, because it was so laid-back,” he smiled. “I wish every album was like this, where I didn’t even have to get out of my pajamas. Dude, it was in my house. … I liked doing it this way. Let’s leave it at that.” Will you check out the Foo Fighters’ latest? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists Foo Fighters

Tyrese Gibson: “It’s Expected Of Men To Cheat” [VIDEO]

Tyrese Gibson just messed it up for all men during an interview on Wendy Williams ‘ talk show. The singer/actor said that men are expected to cheat on their women. Wendy asked Jody Tyrese, who was on the show promoting his new book How To Get Out Of Your Own Way , why men cheat… “I don’t have all the answers, but I can say that most mothers raised their daughters to believe that if you cook, clean, thoroughly take care of your man and go all out for your man, that should keep him home. Unfortunately that’s not the truth, but I will say to my daughter when she gets old and starts dating is, if you end up being cheated on, don’t own the cheat. Don’t make the cheat yours. It’s something in that skirt and those legs and whatever the case may be, and [he] decided to dip off. Does he see the value in his woman at home? Yes, but if he ends up dipping off, that spaghetti couldn’t keep him at home.” Wendy then asked if his wife cheated on him, would she get pass… “No way. See, it’s expected of men to cheat, even though all men don’t cheat. I can’t just generalize and say all men cheat, but it’s expected because it’s a part of our upbringingno listen if your in high school or in college, if one dude has sex with ten different women he is a hero, he’s the champion of the campus. If one woman has sex with ten different guys, they’re all kind of things in the book right?[…]Its just a part of what instilled in us growing up.” Watch the video below! Kendra Wilkinson Lesbian Sex Tape: It’s Out There!

Kendra Wilkinson can’t seem to escape her wild past. The latest development in the former Playboy centerfold’s saga is the discovery of yet another Kendra sex tape, this time starring another girl! Reports say the new tape shows Wilkinson, her ex-boyfriend Justin Frye and Kendra’s friend, Taryn Ryan , going to town for close to an hour. Sources who have seen the tape say it’s reminiscent of Paris Hilton . “Kendra and Taryn started fooling around and then Kendra wanted the light turned off,” a source said. “But the camera recording it had night vision.” “It looks like the Paris Hilton porn tape. Everything is completely clear.” That’s … awesome? Probably depends if the first Kendra sex tape was your cup of tea. Like that one, this leaves “nothing left to the imagination.” In May 2010, a sex video surfaced showing Justin Frye feverishly tapping that. Dubbed Kendra Exposed , it was subsequently released by Vivid. While Kendra told media outlets that she was “humiliated” by this “nightmare,” she made a cool $680,000 from it and even shopped it herself . It’s unclear if she’ll profit as handsomely this time around, but here’s some additional descriptive material about the girl-on-girl style romp: “The girls are laughing at first, and the guys encouraged them to kiss. They started kissing while giggling and then things got hotter.” “It’s a long tape, about 45 minutes. Nothing left to the imagination.” Just tell us where to enter our credit card number now, right guys?
