Lindsay Lohan: Scared of Court!

Did the light bulb finally go on? Sources say Lindsay Lohan is “freaked out” over her court date today. For good reason, obviously. Girl is in deep $h!t. But is she actually cognizant of this fact?! The train wreck has a pretty serious problem in the alcohol education department, having been required to complete 13 classes by last Thursday’s court date. She did not. Then she got stuck in Cannes, claimed her passport was stolen, and missed the hearing. A warrant was issued for her arrest (and later rescinded). Lohan posted bail, avoiding a hectic arrest upon her return to the U.S. yesterday, and a new hearing is set for today. Passport issues aside, she’s still in deep . She has only completed 10 of the 13 classes, violating a court order to attend at least one a week on numerous occasions. She’s also a drunk, coked-up mess . Lindsay Lohan will face the music later this morning. Technically, that doesn’t play a role in her compliance, but it’s unlikely she’ll be seen as a sympathetic figure when she’s blowing off alcohol education to party. This all stems from a DUI case in which Lindsay avoided jail time by agreeing to undergo alcohol education classes. If she violates the probation terms, though? Judge Marsha Revel has already made it clear she was expecting full compliance. Lindsay Lohan has already made it clear that she could give a rat’s a$$. So … People in the know say that today, the judge will probably prohibit Lindsay from drinking or doing drugs. That’ll be tough, as she likes to satisfy cravings fast . For once, Lindsay seems to actually comprehend the mess she’s in, rather than living in denial , and is reportedly scared $h!tless about what’s gonna go down. Her hearing is set for 11 a.m. EST, so expect an update afterward.

‘American Idol’ Top Three: What Should They Sing?

The judges’ picks for the finalists have been revealed, but we have a few suggestions for their choices. By Eric Ditzian “American Idol” top 3 Photo: FOX Crystal Bowersox, Lee DeWyze and Casey James are back in Los Angeles after jetting off to their hometowns last week. Come Tuesday night (May 18), though, it will be time to shut out those memories of parades and concerts and instead concentrate on the task at hand: convincing America they deserve the chance to transition from famous names to successful recording artists. It’s a task for which the “Idol” top three and the judges will be sharing responsibility, as each crooner is set to perform two tunes: one selected by the judges and one picked by the contestants themselves. We already know what Simon Cowell and his pals have decided on; what we don’t know is what the contestants, freed from any theme-week requirements, have lined up. Here’s what we’d like to hear from the finalists. Crystal Bowersox The first thing MamaSox should do is thank Ellen DeGeneres for choosing Paul McCartney’s “Maybe I’m Amazed,” a tune that could be all sorts of awesome when shot through with a bit of Crystal’s bluesy soul. We have visions of a performance akin to what we heard earlier this season during “Long as I Can See the Light” and “Me and Bobby McGee.” So what should Bowersox choose for herself? After covering McCartney’s classic-rock territory, we encourage the singer to go gonzo and pick something contemporary to show she’s not just an oldies singer. A stripped-down, acoustic-guitar-driven take on Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” would simply be amazing. Another killer choice would be Madonna’s “Music,” taken in a funky, country-fied direction. Lee DeWyze The 24-year-old singer’s sweet spot all season has been slow tunes that allow him to concentrate on nailing (or attempting to nail) his vocals. When it really works — as during “The Boxer” — we begin to see why DeWyze has made it this far in the season-nine competition. Leave it to Cowell to understand Lee’s strengths and weaknesses, as the Brit judge has picked “Hallelujah” for the singer. The Leonard Cohen song has been covered countless times and with diverse arrangements — including Jason Castro’s take on Jeff Buckley’s version in season seven and Tim Urban’s version earlier this season. That arrangement seems like the best fit for DeWyze. For his second song, DeWyze might be thinking that he should delve into a hard-charging rock song. That’d be a mistake. The original version of his melodious new single, “Princess (Reprise),” however, gives us hint of another style that works well for him. The original song reminds us a lot of Death Cab for Cutie’s “I Will Follow You Into the Dark.” And that’s exactly what we want to hear from DeWyze on Tuesday. Casey James The most predictable and least interesting of the judges’ picks comes by way of Kara DioGuardi and Randy Jackson, who selected “Daughters” for Casey. Among the many problems with this tune, we fear, is that James will be accused of doing very little by way of rearrangement. And when it comes to a straight-up comparison between James and John Mayer, the “Idol” contestant is not going to come off on the winning end. Thus, the 27-year-old singer is faced with the biggest challenge on Tuesday. His best bet is to return to terrain he plumped so successfully with John Lennon’s “Jealous Guy.” James essentially turned that song into a Bob Seger tune, and it worked. This time around, he should just go all the way and bust out Seger’s “Night Moves.” What do you think the contestants should sing? Share your suggestions in the comments! ‘Lost’ ‘Across The Sea’ Episode Draws Mixed Reactions Across The Web

Some bloggers and Twitterers thought it ‘stunk on ice,’ while others felt it was a necessary chapter in the concluding series. By Adam Rosenberg Matthew Fox, Evangeline Lilly and Terry O’Quinn in “Lost” Photo: ABC Did you watch ” Lost ” on Tuesday night? If not, stop reading. Seriously. Spoilers ahead. OK. If you’re still here, you either watched the revealing episode, “Across the Sea,” or you don’t care if major plot points are spoiled. To summarize, it was entirely focused on the origin of Jacob and his nameless friend, the Man in Black, on the mysterious Island at the center of the series. It was revealed that the two are fraternal twins. Their pregnant mother washed up ashore and was killed by a native (Allison Janney) after delivering them. It was also revealed that the Island’s protectors — first the mysterious native, later Jacob himself — are charged with keeping safe a cave housing a bright, golden light, which is described as “the warmest, brightest light you’ve ever seen or felt … a little bit of this light is in every man.” If the light goes out, POOF! So do we. The episode garnered some mixed reactions around the Internet, with a variety of celebrities chiming in to give their impressions on Twitter. “Human Giant” creator Paul Scheer was reminded of a classic moment from TV’s past. “Tonight’s LOST reminded me of the 3rd to last ‘Cosby Show.’ Esp. with the light cave and that scene where Mrs Huxtable kills Theo.” Everyone remembers that little chestnut, right? “The Brothers Bloom” writer/director Rian Johnson seems a little confused about who the key players are. He tweeted, “Man, LOST is almost over and I still don’t know whether to trust Sirrus or Achenar,” referring to the classic PC game “Myst.” (Suffice to say, Sirrus and Achenar are brothers who are at odds with one another.) Elsewhere in the Twitterverse, “Puss in Boots” writer Brian Lynch summarized his dissatisfaction with the episode by lumping it into the same category as a notable film flop from Hollywood’s past. “LOST: THE PHANTOM MENACE was really stirring,” he wrote. “Tropic Thunder” actor David Pressman echoed the sentiment in his own tweet , but more succinctly: “Well that episode of ‘LOST’ stunk on ice.” MTV News’ own “Lost” expert Josh Wigler shared the general feeling of dissatisfaction that reverberating around the blogosphere, as stated in both Tuesday night’s recap and his morning after reassessment . JOpinionated blog editor Jo Garfein felt similarly unexcited . “I enjoyed the reveal of certain island mysteries, but was not overly excited by the episode as a whole,” she wrote. “Frankly, ‘Across the Sea’ would have been better timed and suited as a companion piece to ‘Ab Aeterno.’ With only a few hours left to wrap up the entire series and story, it was disruptive and odd to switch gears from three major, dramatic deaths to island mythology from one week to the next.” Entertainment Weekly ‘s PopWatch recap was more forgiving. ” ‘Across the Sea’ was an unconventional outing that deserves props for benching its stars to give us a story that felt absolutely necessary for establishing the Big Picture context for the final act that is at last upon us,” writer Jeff Jensen writes. “Still, I can’t say I loved it. I thought it was a collection of Grade A ideas in a Grade B package.” What did you think of this week’s “Lost”? Do you feel it’s leading to a satisfying series finale? Easy Way to Make Your Cell Phone Battery Last Longer

here are the step by step how Make Your Cell Phone Battery Last Longer 1. Turn the phone of f. This is probably the most effective and most simple way of conserving your battery’s power. If you don’t plan on answering the phone while you’re sleeping or after business hours, just turn it off. Do the same if you are in an area with no reception (such as a subway or remote area, since constantly searching for service depletes the battery fairly quickly. Some phones have an automatic power save feature, but it takes about 30 minutes with no service to kick in. By then, much battery power has been used. 2. Turn off Bluetooth. It will drain your battery very quickly. 3. Switch off the vibrate function on your phone, and use just the ring tone instead. The vibrate function uses up a lot of battery power. Keep the ring tone volume as low as possible. 4. Turn off your phone’s back light. The back light is what makes the phone easier to read in bright light or outside. However, the light also uses battery power. If you can get by without it, your battery will last longer. If you have to use the back light, many phones will let you set the amount of time to leave the back light on. Shorten that amount of time. Usually, one or two seconds will be sufficient. Some phones have an ambient light sensor, which can turn off the back light in bright conditions and enable it in darker ones. 5. Avoid using unnecessary features. If you know it will be a while before your phone’s next charge, don’t use the camera or connect to the Internet. Flash photography can drain your battery especially quickly. 6. Same goes for WIFI, GPS, and infrared capabilities, if your phone has these features built in. Keep them off; save more power. 7. Use GSM – Using your phone in 3G / Dual Mode will drain the battery quicker than if you just use GSM mode – have a look at your phones spec and you’ll see it will quote two different battery life times – normally 50% more for pure GSM use. Charge your battery correctly, in accordance with its type. Most newer cell phones have lithium-ion batteries, while older ones generally have nickel-based batteries. Read the label on the back of the battery or in the technical specifications in the manual to determine which yours is. Who Deserves to Win RuPaul’s Drag Race?

Some reality competition shows are over the hill — and it shows — but the comparatively young RuPaul’s Drag Race is so fun and fresh-faced that it doesn’t even need to make use of its own gauzy lenses. Tonight, we’ll find out whether Jujubee, Raven, or Tyra Sanchez will take home the top prize, and frankly, I’m more invested in this outcome than I ever was in the shows that Drag Race parodies (like America’s Next Top Model and Project Runway ). Here’s what the three remaining queens have going for and against them:
