Knowing that I’ve met my idol after years of supporting him means the world to me! We had around about a three hour car journey. It went SO slow, but it was all leading up to the most amazing day ever! We weren’t crying, we were just really happy and thinking “Is this a dream?!” As we arrived at the venue, we got a bit lost at first, but then we followed a few people, then we had arrived. We got in line to get our M&G package/wristbands but then we saw the merchandise table, so we went over and got loads of stuff. Then this American dude came over and started telling everyone with M&G’s to get into lines. If you paid, you got into one line, if you won them, you got to go into another line . At this point, it still hadn’t sunk in! After getting everything from VIP we felt like the luckiest girls in the world. Justin was late for the M&G so we didn’t know when he or the crew were in the building. After about 10 minutes of waiting, we saw Kenny! We didn’t want to move from our space, as we were near the front, but just seeing him made me the happiest girl. Then we started to walk down to the M&G room! We had to walk down about 6 flights of stairs before we reached the ground floor where Justin was! The M&G room was so different to what I expected! I expected it to be 1 huge long line, but the line was just like a snake. There was around 50 of us and about 200 who won them, so we all went in first. Before, when we collected our VIP lanyard, wristbands, they handed us a raffle ticket to win some of Justin’s things! They were reading a number out and it was exactly the same as mine, apart from the LAST NUMBER which was ‘4’, I was so close, I was number ‘5’. Then I realized that the winning ticket was my friend Sophie’s! Then as everyone was talking, Justin popped his head out of the curtain at said, “I’M HERE!” Everyone started screaming at that point! The American dude also started saying some more stuff about when we meet him, he also said about how they had to cut the ‘Meet and Greet’ wristband off, so we couldn’t sneak in again. All that was left to do now was wait. I had also put a voice recorder in my back pocket to record me meeting Justin. The queue started going down so fast! A man said to me, “Are you excited?!” I was like “YES!!!!” He then said, “Who are you with?” I replied, “By myself,” and he opened the curtain and I walked through. Justin was taking a picture with someone when I first walked in! I just started at him in amazement. It didn’t even look like him. He looked like a moving wax work, he was so perfect, it was unreal. I tried to drop my bag, but security was tight and said, “KEEP YOUR BAGS.” I just kept looking at Justin, I didn’t know whether I had to move forward at this point, but then security pushed me to move. I went and gave him the hugest hug ever! I tightly hugged him, then security got my back and tugged me a bit. I then took the picture with him! I’m so glad I hugged him and got a PICTURE! It was the most crazy thing ever and was the best moment of my life. As soon as I left the room, I burst into tears! My face was bright red, I looked a mess! I honestly couldn’t stop crying! I then waited for my friends Sophie and Becca to come out. We all started bawling our eyes out just thinking what happened to us. What more could you ask for?! When everyone had finished meeting him, we went into the place where the concert was held. We went to our seats and got a wristband since we were first row, to say that we could go anywhere next to the barrier! We had been planning where to stand for months now. Security told us off for standing up, since the concert hadn’t started, so we had to go to our seats and wait for the lights to go down! When we were waiting, we put some neon body paint on our face to make us stand out and glow. IT OBVIOUSLY WORKED! As soon as the lights went down, we RAN to our spaces to wait for Cody Simpson to get on-stage! Before he came on stage, Kenny Hamilton came on to introduce him. He also came on again to introduce Carly! I only knew one of Cody’s songs, so it was a bit awkward. He looked directly at me so many times! I was so happy! We waited for a little bit for Justin to come on stage and that’s when I got a picture with the tank-top Sophie had won. Then after other beliebers saw me with it, she had a queue lining up to take a picture with it (sorry, Sophie). During Carly’s performance, we saw Dan Kanter standing at the side for the stage. We were taking loads of pictures of Dan, and he smiled at us and pointed at Carly, who was on-stage at the time! I did feel bad for her, as we were making more of a fuss over Dan than her. We took Dan’s advice and we started dancing to Carly’s songs. When Carly went off stage we knew it was soon going to be time for Justin. The countdown came on! THE CROWD WENT CRAZY! When it got to 20 seconds, I literally burst into tears! He came on stage with his angel wings and he was so close. I could properly see his face and he looked directly at me! I couldn’t stop crying throughout the show! We also saw Scrappy and Alfredo at one point on the side of the stage. At the end, I caught loads of confetti and put it into my bag , I have mountain-loads now! I can’t forget to mention that I also aw Justin shirtless in front of me. At the end of the night, Dan came on stage just before we were about to leave and chucked some guitar picks! It was a crazy experience! I love you Justin and you have completed my life. On October 27, 2012 my dreams came true. I met my idol. I’m the one on the right (Justin’s left). I bought my front row/meet and greet tickets in May and I sobbed and just paced my room. But anyways, the moment I woke up on October 27, I started crying. I cried all day. I got inline for the meet and greet and it didn’t hit me that I was meeting him until I got to the front of the line. They pulled the curtain back and there he was. I started to cry and he goes, “Aw don’t cry.” I hugged him and said, “I love you,” while he hugged me back , with his hands on my lower back. He told me he loved me too and pulled me into the picture by my waist. We took the picture and I noticed Alfredo was taking our picture so I said, “You follow me on tumblr.” He looked at me and said, “Awwww.” I’m not sure if he knew what I said though. As I was leaving Justin said, “Don’t cry,” again and looked at my mom and said, “Thank you.” I got back to the hotel and sobbed like this for an hour straight. I only stopped because I was about to throw up. I then went back to the arena for the concert. I got to my seat. I was in the corner in the front row. If Justin was looking out at the crowd, I would be to his right. Cody and Carly were amazing. Cody leaned down and sang to me for a couple of seconds! I was the first person Carly held hands with in the crowd! Justin came out and I was in so much shock. His performance was flawless. I was also the first person he held hands with in the crowd. Not only did he hold my hand that one time, but again during She Don’t Like the Lights! The concert was amazing and I do not regret anything. There’s so much more to that day, but it’s all a blur. It’s about damn time! After five days of no electricity or hot water , hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers have been waiting for this moment. According to The Daily Mail : Jubilant New Yorkers took to the streets tonight as Con Ed began restoring power to lower Manhattan after repairing the East 14th Street subway station that exploded when Sandy hit on Monday night. Electricity began coming on to more than 65,000 customers in parts of the East Village, SoHo and the Lower East Side at around 6pm while thousands of residents in Chelsea and the so-called Madison Network were able to switch on their lights again about an hour later. People took to the streets cheering on Prince and Lafayette in Nolita as the lights finally flickered again after days of darkness. Power was restored north to south between Canal Street and Broadway, and East to West between the East River and 14th street. At 6pm the Chelsea network went back up between the Hudson River and Fifth Avenue, and 31st Street on north and 15th street. The news comes as a huge relief to the hundreds of thousands of people who have been without power since Monday night. Many of them had left the so-called Dark Zone below 39th street but there are still tens of thousands of people living in increasingly difficult conditions. Con Edison let customers know the good news with a flurry of proud tweets on Friday evening. Starting with the restoration of power for 65,000 in the East Village and the Lower East Side at around 5.45pm, the company then boasted at about 6.45pm: #ConEdison just restored power to 25,000 customers in the #Chelsea network. At around 7pm, Con Edison tweeted that another 8,000 customers in the #City Hall network were back on the grid – from Broadway to the East River and Canal Street to Frankfort. This announcement quickly followed with the news that over 30,000 homes stretching from 31st to 14th Streets and Fifth Avenue to the East River were restored. But Manhattan wasn’t the only borough the electricity company was concentrating on. As the announcements were coming thick and fast on the island, Con Edison tweeted just before 7pm that more than 122,000 Brooklyn residents had electricity back up and running and more than 39,000 customers were rejoicing as they switched on their lights in the Bronx. An additional 29,000 households in Queens were also powered up again before 7pm and 85,000 in devastated Staten Island, for the first time since the Superstorm savaged New York. The electricity company said things should be back to normal for most residents in these areas though it couldn’t guarantee that individual customers’ equipment had not been damaged in the storm, which would delay their return to power. And, with only days left on the massive Up All Night jaunt, 1D-er Niall Horan, recalled with MTV News the “absolutely nuts” time they’ve had. “It’s been, as you can see clearly, it’s been absolutely nuts. We’re still trying to get out head around it,” he said, hours before hitting the stage in Charlotte. “It’s been crazy. We’ve had a lot of fun … we’re doing these things called sheds, so they’re outside and inside. There are like 20,000 people on an outdoor gig and they’re really good to do. They’re really fun. It’s really warm outside and the crowds, they’re amazing.” With fans doing anything they can to get the guys’ attention while they’re on stage (including throwing bras at them ) Niall says that the last few shows have included far fewer undergarments being tossed at the stage. “They’ve kind of toned it down a little bit. It was worse. Now it’s kind of iPhones and keys, which are kind of dangerous. “When we were in New York, we were on our day off and me and Liam [Payne] was going down the street with one of our security guards and we got absolutely mobbed by like 600 people in Times Square,” he said. “I thought ‘There is literally not one place I can walk down the street.’ ” But, it’s not just screaming girls who are turning out to see the guys. Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell tweeted about attending the 1D show in Atlanta, a show that just happened to be one of Niall’s favorites (or at least the loudest). “We didn’t have a clue what we were singing. We couldn’t hear anything,” he said. “We’re very lucky we’ve got amazing crowds. We never have a bad crowd. We’re very lucky we kind of get the adrenaline rush off them.” While Atlanta may have been the rowdiest show, New Jersey remains Niall’s favorite for the opposite reason. “Harry [Styles] got the crowd to take their phones and lights out of their pocket and we turned off the lights so you couldn’t see the crowd and all you could see are the lights swaying,” he said. “I think that was a special night cause we thought it’s all very high-energy, but when the show is taken down like a somber level it’s quite nice.” Are you planning on seeing One Direction on tour?
