Ted Nugent. Piers Morgan. The gloves came off again in a debate on gun control this week, and whichever side you’re on, it’s hard to deny that these two squaring off makes for quality TV. Piers Morgan-Ted Nugent Debate Piers and Ted sat down in Texas, where Morgan visited a gun range and tried out a rifle similar to the one used by Adam Lanza in the Sandy Hook massacre. While admittedly “exciting,” Piers cited his experience with the weapon – easy to use, fairly accurate – as justification for an assault weapons ban . NRA member Ted bristled at that notion, accusing Piers of an “obsession” with guns and gun owners and imploring him to “leave us the hell alone.” Nugent offered his typically spirited defense of gun rights, arguing that they actually prevent crime and any that attempt to curb them is unconstitutional. Ted accused Piers of using misleading statistics about gun-related deaths and offered some figures of his own, which Morgan derided as “bull.” Nugent’s usual vitriol against President Obama was actually subdued by his standards, but he made his vehement opposition to his views clear. Two new posters for Spring Breakers feature Selena Gomez and James Franco… in very contrasting states of dress. First, Selena basically tells Justin Bieber to eat his little heart out, as she poses in a bright blue bikini that leaves little to the imagination. Next, Franco – who plays a drug dealer in the film – crosses his arms and exposes his gun. Colorado Rockies first baseman Todd Helton was arrested on charges of DUI this morning, with new details pertaining to the incident making it even more embarrassing for the hitting star. According to the Thornton Police Department, the 39-year old was found stumbling out of a gas station, breath full of alcohol and lottery tickets in hand . Yes, lottery tickets. For a guy who once signed a $141.5 million contract. Helton “made spontaneous statements about drinking two igloo cups of red wine,” police say, and was booked on three counts of drunk driving. To the ball player’s credit, he was “respectful and professional” throughout the ordeal, authorities conclude.
Lindsay Lohan showed up to an amfAR event at Fashion Week last night dressed to the nines and … well … her lips aren’t small. This can’t be normal, can it? While Lohan didn’t show up in totally ridiculous fashion, at least by her exalted standards of couture, it’s hard to take her very seriously in that hood. Or when you look at the rest of the Mean Girls cast then and now . The 26-going-on-45-year-old reportedly showed up at the shindig with Saudi film producer Mohammed Al Turki, who was executive producer on Arbitrage . Needing a break from her latest legal troubles, and always looking to save money when she’s broke, Lindsay Lohan jetted off to Dubai with mom Dina Lohan. Not before the star and her belongings were searched at LAX, however. Lohan was stopped by TSA agents at LAX’s security gate, who then proceeded to rifle through her Louis Vuitton bag, among other carry-on luggage. Somewhat astonishingly, she was allowed to go on her way! Good thing, too, because she can scarcely afford any legal trouble. She’s so far in the hole now, it’s a small wonder she has a roof over her head. At least LiLo ‘s UAE trip may be a positive one financially. She is reportedly en route to the United Arab Emirates metropolis to reportedly do some promotional work for an energy drink she endorses, Mr. Pink. No word if Mr. Pink is made from refined crack rocks.
Lindsay Lohan SWEARS that until a few days ago, she had NO IDEA she owed her former lawyer Shawn Holley money, let alone a small fortune. Easy mistake. It’s not like they ever see each other. Oh wait … Now that she’s aware of what she owes, the troubled star has supposedly put Shawn at the top of her list of creditors … and boy is that a long list. How she could actually be unaware of this fact is amazing and probably impossible, even for her. First of all, the amount is AT LEAST $150,000. Not exactly a tab you forget, unless you’re utterly clueless. Second, celebrity gossip sites have been reporting on Holley’s outstanding bills for two weeks. All you have to do is go online, girl! Lohan has been money of late from appearances, endorsements, photo shoots and some acting gigs, but she’s also been spending it like a madman . First class tickets, expensive hotels, restaurants, clothes. It’s like the cautionary tale of what not to do that they teach you in credit counseling class. This is a girl who ALSO owes $130,000 in back taxes. She claims she’s cutting back so she can pay that and Shawn. We’ll hold our breath, no doubt. The financial factors that have Lindsay Lohan broke and/or deep in the hole are manifold, but Holley at least managed to keep her out of jail. Now that LiLo inexplicably fired her, the star’s future is far less clear. Since doing so, she’s made a desperate plea to win Shawn back, to no avail. 2013 should be quite a year.

Lindsay Lohan just got her second half-sibling in less than three months! Michael Lohan and Kate Major have welcomed their first child together. In November, it was revealed that MiLo fathered Ashley Horn 18 years or so ago. The man is fertile, ladies and gentlemen! While Lindsay was booking it to court this morning in L.A., Kate Major went into labor at a Florida hospital. Son Landon Major Lohan arrived at 11:39 a.m. The stats: 19 3/4 inches, 7 lbs., 5 oz. Michael Lohan was with Kate Major – who he impregnated in violation of a restraining order against him last year – the entire time and cut the umbilical cord. It’s his sixth child, after Lindsay Lohan , Ali Lohan, Dakota (Cody) Lohan, Michael Lohan Jr. and Ashley Horn (by his former mistress Kristi Horn). Michael, Kate and Landon are all doing great. Congratulations to the happy couple!
