The newly-free Lindsay Lohan went out for dinner in Malibu to celebrate her birthday last night. This outing was notable because it marked her first birthday and lawful venture out of the house in some time! Here’s the actress, 25 going on 37 … Passing on any sort of wild party, but still making sure she went somewhere in full view of the paparazzi, Lindsay opted for a relatively low-key dinner out in Malibu with her sister Ali, brother Michael Jr., and a few friends. Nice to see Lindsay partying her freedom away . In honor of her special quarter-century milestone, here are just some of our many favorite Lindsay Lohan pictures from THG’s archives …
Look out, every nightclub in Los Angeles: Lindsay Lohan is a free woman. Following 35 days under grueling, sprawling house arrest, the troubled actress had her ankle monitor removed at 10:20 a.m. local time today. At last check, she remained inside her Venice Beach, California condo, but was on her way to fulfill community service obligations at any moment. “I spoke with her yesterday and she told me she is eager to return to fulfilling her community service obligation which she has been unable to perform during house arrest,” Lindsay’s rep tells E! News. It was a difficult month-plus for Lohan, who was stuck inside her $2.25 million estate and forced to give interviews from the comfort of her living room sofa. We have no doubt she’s learned her lesson, scale back on her partying, resurrect her career and… darn. We almost got that out with a straight face. [Photo: WENN.com]
Lindsay Lohan is really getting screwed over by the criminal justice system. Serving her jail sentence inside a $2.25 million, 3,000 beach house in Venice Beach, Calif., where she relaxes , parties and gets paid big bucks to shoot commercials? That’ll teach her! In a new interview , Lohan opens up about her tough life. “I’m a very social person, and I like being outside, especially in Venice Beach. I’d like to get out more – just go out and have dinner,” Lindsay says. “I was really upset not being able to go to see my little brother (Dakota “Cody” Lohan) at his birthday party. He just turned 16. That bummed me out.” Of course, there are silver linings. Like NOT BEING BEHIND BARS . “I’ve been having a lot of work-related meetings. Sometimes my friends come over. And I get to see my sister, Ali, which is nice,” Lindsay admits. “When my friends come over, they’re not drinking,” notes the star, wearing an ankle monitor. “Alcohol is not in my house, it’s not part of my life.” But, have no fear, celebrity gossip photographers. When Lindsay is “released” on June 29, it won’t necessarily mean the end of nightclubs for her. “I don’t think you should ever say never,” she explains. Great. Only time will tell, but Lindsay is steadfast that she’s clean for good: “I’ve grown up and I’m willing to do what I have to do to prove that.” “This may come as a shock, but I mean it: I want to start my community service. I want to finish that so I can work in August and September.” “You go through experiences. I do understand that I need to gain some of the respect back, but I’m willing to work hard for that. I understand this is a situation I have put myself in, and I don’t want to go back to that.” [Photo: Pacific Coast News]

Actress Lindsay Lohan appears in court at the Beverly Hills Municipal Courthouse in Beverly Hills, California in this July 20, 2010 file photo. Lohan turned herself in to Los Angeles jail authorities early on May 26, 2011 and has begun serving a sentence for jewelry theft under house arrest, officials said. Due to jail overcrowding, the actress Lindsay Lohan, 24, will serve about a month in her Los Angeles-area condo after pleading no contest to misdemeanor grand theft. She faced the music,
I haven’t been following the Lindsay Lohan story at all..I just don’t care cuz I’ve replaced my soul mate from Lindsay Lohan to Amanda Seyfried after Lohan totally went weird and boring…seriously, any story that has to do with her fucking sucks, she’s an amazing set of tear drop implant titties gone horribly wrong, she’s had the potential to do sex tapes, hot movie roles, really exploit herself like her parents and everyone around her have been exploiting herself, but instead, she went to rehab, became obsessed with a really unattractive controlling chick, and now all she’s got going for her is her left breast in a tight dress in court…Sucks to be Lohan…but it what sucks more is that Lohan’s not suckin’ no more…
NBC has chosen an unusual time to make the following announcement: Christina Aguilera will join Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine as a judge on The Voice , the network’s upcoming response to American Idol . Just a day after the singer was arrested for being unable to stand up in public , producer Mark Burnett has officially tapped Christina for one of four spots on the judging panel. Christina, Christina, how drunk are you right now?!? “Christina has a once in a generation talent – her voice is phenomenally distinctive and instantly recognizable,” said Paul Telegdy, Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, NBC and Universal Media Studios. “Her journey as an artist, who started so young in the music business, will be an inspiration to the talent she coaches on the show.” The Voice will premiere in the fall and offer $100,000 and a recording contract to the winner. No word yet on what sponsors have been lined up. We hear Christina is pushing for Jack Daniel’s.
Michael Lohan is checking into rehab. Of course, it’s Michael Lohan, and he doesn’t so much as breathe if it doesn’t get him some publicity, so he’s going to Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. The troubled father of Lindsay has already started filming the addiction reality show, which airs on VH1 and has a perfectly mediocre success rate. Sorry, Jason Davis . Michael has spent time in rehab previously and did time in prison in the ’90s when he was involved in an insider trading/contempt of court scandal. He and Lindsay Lohan have gone through periods of estrangement, but MiLo has been an outspoken advocate of his daughter and publicity lately. Here’s hoping he gets the help he needs, although that’s a tall order. Michael Lohan Jr. is changing his name for a reason. We’re just sayin’ …
Who knows if it will persuade the D.A., but a surveillance video at least partially backs up Lindsay Lohan’s account of her infamous, alleged jewel thievery. The accused felon was in no hurry to bolt Kamofie & Company the day she allegedly ganked the thing, blabbing with the owner for a bit before peacing out. According to sources who have watched the tape, Lohan wore the $2,500 necklace she’s accused of stealing almost the entire time she was in the store. What goes on in the mind of Lindsay Lohan? [Photo: Pacific Coast News] Video clearly shows Lindsay trying on the necklace, checking herself out in the mirror, and appearing to ask her friend and the owner for their opinion. There is no audio on the tape. Reports say Lindsay took off her own necklace to try on the store’s necklace, which she never took off in 45 minutes. According to sources, before walking out of the store, Lindsay put her own necklace back on, but not in a way that obstructed the store’s necklace. Even better for the train wreck, with the store’s necklace still in plain view, Lindsay is seen talking to the owner for a couple of minutes before leaving. Doesn’t sound like the actions of someone that tried to steal a necklace, right? Or is she just that calculating to make it look like a misunderstanding? In rejecting a plea bargain last week, Lindsay indicated confidence that she will be vindicated by the legal system. Perhaps this is a big reason why. Of course, a probation violation could land her in jail regardless. This is what happens when you’re a total mess and constantly run afoul of the law. What do you think of her story in light of this report?
