Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson Make Bank On Forbes List

‘Twilight’ stars, plus Daniel Radcliffe, Anne Hathaway and others, make ‘Hollywood’s Best Actors for the Buck’ list. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images It wasn’t too long ago that Forbes declared Eddie Murphy and Drew Barrymore box-office poison, but there’s better news this week for actors like Kristen Stewart , Robert Pattinson and Daniel Radcliffe , just to name a few. The young Hollywood heavyweights top the money magazine’s Hollywood’s Best Actors for the Buck list of stars, which weighs the actors’ salaries against their movies’ box-office return on investment. With three weeks at the top of the box office for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1,” it’s no surprise that the “Twilight” stars have landed on the list. Stewart, whose films earn $55.83 for every $1 she’s paid according to Forbes, sits at the top of the list. Pattinson sits at #3 because, the magazine argues, “he has branched out more, so only one of his ‘Twilight’ films is eligible for this list.” “Eclipse” was the only “Twilight” film the magazine counted for Pattinson, alongside films like “Water for Elephants” and “Remember Me.” His films earn $39.43 for every $1 he’s paid. Anne Hathaway sits in between the two “Twilight” stars at #2. For every $1 she’s paid, her films, including “Alice in Wonderland,” earn back $45.67. “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe ranks at #4 on the list. For every $1 he’s paid, his films earn back $34.24. Rounding out the top five is “Transformers” star Shia LaBeouf. His films earn back $29.40 for every $1 he makes. Rounding out the top 10 are “Iron Man” and “Sherlock Holmes” star Robert Downey Jr. ($18.74 for every $1), Matt Damon ($15.83 for every $1), Cate Blanchett ($15.17 for every $10), Meryl Streep ($13.54 for every $10) and “Pirates of the Caribbean” star Johnny Depp ($12.48 for every $1). For Your Information: 7 Of The Worst Paying Jobs That STILL Require A College Degree

With the economy as bad as it is, even having a college degree isn’t enough to get by… College graduates with student loans owed an average of $25,250 in 2010, an all-time high and a 5 percent increase, according to a recent report. What makes matters worse is that students graduating in 2010 faced unemployment of 9.1 percent, the highest annual rate on record, according to the Project on Student Debt’s report. Given the grim figures facing college graduates, 24/7 Wall St. reviewed wage data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics to identify the seven occupations that require at least a college degree and pay the least. Jobs that pay poorly and require a college degree or higher have at least one thing in common: the wrong industry. Some industries, including those in mental health, academic research, the arts and publishing tend to pay poorly. The entry level jobs in these fields and on this list do not pay well. Reporters starting out make less than $20,000 per year. Many of the people employed in the jobs on our list will have a hard time paying off their student loans. The occupations on the list earn less than $40,000 annually. In every case, jobs paid far less to start. A quarter of the people employed as survey researchers, for example, earn less than $24,000 annually. 24/7 Wall St. examined wage data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Occupational Employment Statistics Database, to identify the major occupations that make less than $40,000 annually. BLS’s Occupational Outlook Handbook was used to identify educational requirements and long-term job prospects. O*Net Online, an independent career research and advisory site, was used to determine the percentage of people in each occupation with a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD. The seven occupations on our list required a bachelor’s degree or more from most employers. Our best suggestion for those going about to go to college would be to pick a major that you’re passionate about with the understanding that it may be tough for a few years while you attempt to move up past entry level. For those who are about to graduate college, you may want to think about grad school and additional forms of education…just a thought. Source Flip the script to see the list…

Bradley Cooper Named People’s Sexiest Man Alive

Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling and Liam Hemsworth also make 2011 list. Bradley Cooper Photo: Alberto E. Rodriguez/ Getty Images Bradley Cooper may find himself in a hot-guy hangover this morning. On Wednesday (November 16), People named the movie star 2011’s Sexiest Man Alive . Beating out the likes of Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling, George Clooney and Liam Hemsworth, the 36-year-old actor tells the magazine he’s a bit surprised by the recognition over his good looks. “I think it’s really cool that a guy who doesn’t look like a model can have this [title],” he said. “I think I’m a decent-looking guy. Sometimes I can look great, and other times, I look horrifying.” He added, “I’m waiting for Dax Shepard to come out, and that it’s an episode of ‘Punk’d.’ ” This year has been kind to the actor, who starred in blockbusters like “The Hangover Part II” and “Limitless.” Though he is currently single, Cooper has been linked to some of Hollywood’s A-list ladies including Renee Zellweger and, most recently, Jennifer Lopez. Of his bachelor status, he said, “If you’re a single man and you happen to be in this business, you’re deemed a player. But I don’t see myself as a ladies’ man.” These days, the woman who might be most excited to learn about his status is the one and only Mrs. Cooper. “First thing I thought was, ‘My mother is going to be so happy,’ ” the actor shared. Cooper’s not the only mama’s boy on the list. Evans also opened up about his mom in the issue, saying, “We’re incredibly tight. Mom can hang — she’s on the level.” And, humility certainly seems to be a trait shared by many of the hotties on this year’s list. “Community” star Joel McHale had this to say about making the list: “I made it because there were a lot of people who were out of town.” Do you agree with People ? Drew Barrymore, Eddie Murphy Top Forbes Overpaid Actors List

Will Ferrell came it at #3 on tally of Hollywood stars who aren’t worth the salaries they bank. By Jocelyn Vena Eddie Murphy Photo: Getty Images On the same weekend that Eddie Murphy opens his comeback flick “Tower Heist” comes the news that he joins rom-com queen Drew Barrymore atop a list of Hollywood’s most overpaid actors in the business. Forbes makes the case that these two movie stars aren’t worth the bank they are making. The site used an involved equation to figure out which celebrities would make the list. Celebrities qualified for it based on a set of criteria. One: They had to earn a large salary. Two: They had to have at least three films released in at least 500 theaters in the past five years. (Animated flicks and films released after May 1, 2011, didn’t count.) But wait, it didn’t stop there. Using their Celebrity 100 list, Forbes calculated each star’s earnings and then looked at film budgets and returns to figure out the income for the movies. All caught up on that? OK, so here’s how it shook out. Barrymore lands at #1 on the list. Her recent box-office failures “Everybody’s Fine” and “Lucky You” only racked up $24 million combined. While her ensemble film “He’s Just Not That Into You” netted $180 million globally, the publication didn’t count it towards her profit margins since she wasn’t the sole marquee name in the flick. Barrymore returns 40 cents for every $1 she makes. Despite the success of “Shrek,” which falls in the animated category, Murphy landed right behind Barrymore thanks to films that billed him as the headlining name. “Imagine That” and “Meet Dave” earned $72 million combined and cost a combined $115 million to make. So what does that mean? It means that Murphy returned $2.70 for every $1 he was paid. Coming in at #3 is Will Ferrell, who had topped the list for the past two years. Reese Witherspoon is #4 on the list and Denzel Washington finds himself at #5. For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .

Michael Jackson Top-Earning Dead Celebrity

Forbes magazine predicts Cirque du Soleil tribute show ‘Immortal’ will put King of Pop in the lead again next year. By Gil Kaufman Michael Jackson Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage For the second year in a row, Michael Jackson has topped Forbes magazine’s list of top-earning dead celebrities. The King of Pop, who died unexpectedly at age 50 in June 2009, earned an estimated $170 million over the past year, making him the second-highest-earning pop star this year (behind U2) — dead or alive. The megabucks came in from sales of his music, as well as his stake in the lucrative Sony/ATV catalog, and while impressive, was a big step down from the $275 million the Jackson estate earned in the year after the singer’s death. Songwriters who own their work tend to place high on the Forbes list because their catalog sales often remain strong after their death, one of the reasons Jackson’s posthumous career has been so lucrative. The magazine speculated that Jackson is likely to top the list again next year thanks to the recent launch of the Cirque du Soleil tribute show “Immortal,” which, if successful, could net more touring income for the singer in death than he earned in life. In a distant second was the perennial chart-topper in the Forbes tally, Elvis, whose catalog and merchandise sales (not to mention his pricey Cirque show, “Viva Elvis”) helped bring in $55 million from October 2010 to October 2011. Two late Beatles, John Lennon and George Harrison, placed fifth and 13th on the list, respectively, at $12 million and $6 million, also thanks in part to catalog sales and the proceeds from a Las Vegas Cirque show, “Love.” Fifty years after her death, blonde starlet Marilyn Monroe was #3 with $27 million, followed by “Peanuts” cartoonist Charles Schulz. Actress Elizabeth Taylor tied at #5 with Lennon at $12 million, mostly due to the perennially strong sales of her perfumes, just ahead of renowned genius Albert Einstein ($10 million) and Theodor “Dr. Seuss” Geisel ($9 million). Tied at #9 are guitar god Jimi Hendrix, “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” author Stieg Larsson, actor Steve McQueen and songwriter Richard Rodgers ($7 million). Harrison was at #13, tied with pin-up icon Bettie Page and pop-art legend Andy Warhol ($6 million). Related Artists Michael Jackson
