Although she had a shaky (almost LoLo Jones fight having) start, Tamar Braxton was victorious on “Celebrity Big Brother.” Tamar won becoming the first Black person to win Big Brother and also became only the second person to ever win a U.S. Big Brother season unanimously after she beat out Ricky Williams. Tamar spoke on her big win that includes a $250,000 prize to Entertainment Weekly and told them that she’s buying a house for herself and her son little Logan. According to Tamar, she’s been living in an apartment as her divorce is still pending from Vincent Herbert and she promised Logan they’d get a house. “Well, right now, I’m in an apartment. I just … I don’t even know if I’m divorced. [Calls out to the room] Does anybody know?” PERSON WITH TAMAR ANSWERS: No, you’re not. [Laughs] Okay, when everything went down with [being let go from] The Real, a lot of things changed. And, unfortunately not really in my favor. But, I’m grateful for the person that I’ve become from all the hardships that I’ve been through. And the growth that I have received from all the changes that has been made. And so my son and I are going to be moving to a house. And every day he asks me to go back to his old house and that’s just not available to him anymore. And I promised him a month and a half ago before I moved into the house that mom will be working hard to not replace it, but build towards our future and getting us a new house. Because we do live in an apartment and that’s nothing that I’m ashamed of. Sometimes you’ve just got to start over to start right.” Tamar also told Entertainment Weekly that she’s glad she and Kandi rebuilt their friendship while in the house although things were rocky at first. Remember when Tamar told Kandi she “did something to her” on The Great Xscape tour and burst into frustrated tears? “Yeah, we got it back because we wanted it. We wanted to make amends more than we wanted to fight and that’s for the both of us. I just think that’s a testament to life. When you want to get along, when you want to do something, and it’s another person involved, they’ve got to want it too. You’ve got to work at it. And we constantly worked at our relationship in the house. I wasn’t too happy to see her face, I’m not going to lie, when I first saw her. But, in the end I’m really grateful that she was there. Bill Cosby is having an “amazing experience” in prison apparently With recent talks about mass incarceration and prison reform, many folks across the country are having deep conversations about what justice looks like. Bill Cosby ‘s experience in prison is sure to stir the pot, especially since his lawyer, Andrew Wyatt , says Cosby is having an “amazing experience” behind bars. Wyatt spoke to WCAU-TV about Cosby’s time in maximum security at a facility near Philly. Cosby is serving up to ten years after being convicted of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand back in 2004. Wyatt said Cosby has high spirits while in prison, and he’s even talking to other inmates and encouraging them. “Despite the circumstances, he said, ‘This is an amazing experience,’” Wyatt said. “Mr. Cosby had prepared himself… He’s mentally strong. He’s just a strong man.” Wyatt and Cosby even maintained his innocence amidst sexual assault accusations from over 50 women. “When I visit him, it’s nothing sad about it,” Wyatt said. “He’s not sad. He’s not remorseful because he did nothing wrong.” Cosby’s “amazing experience” brings to question whether the women accusing him of rape really got the justice they needed. It’s a peculiar thought that might not have an answer right now, but one thing’s for certain… The strange times don’t stop.
YNW Melly , the Florida rap star who was set to appear at Warehouse Live at the end of the month has been arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the October 2018 shooting deaths of two men described as the rapper’s close friends. Miramar, FL police tweeted that Melly, real name Jamell Demons shot and killed two men, Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr. and that Demons along with an associate, Cortlen Henry, staged the murder to resemble a drive-by shooting. Celebrity Big Brother crowned a winner on Wednesday night’s two-hour season finale. At the top of the episode, we had the second to last HOH competition, and Ricky realized it was time for him to start winning things. He opted to put Kandi and Dina on the block after complaining that both women would not hesitate to take him out of the house. The dude had never watch Big Brother before because he was all about people doing whatever he told them to. Tamar was quick to tell Kandi that she needed to win the veto competition or she was likely toast. Lolo won the veto and during the live telecast decided to leave the nominations the same. With Ricky and Tamar being her only allies, this was the best course of action. During the live eviction, Lolo decided to evict Kandi, while Tamar went with Dina. This was to force a 1-1 tie. Ricky sent Kandi packing. That left us with the final four, and the final HOH competition of the season. Round 1: Everyone gets a point Round 2: Ricky & Tamar get a point Round 3: Lolo, Ricky, & Tamar get a point Round 4: Lolo, Ricky, & Tamar get a point Round 5: Lolo, Ricky, & Tamar get a point Round 6: Ricky gets a point Round 7: Lolo & Tamar get a point Tiebreaker: Final HOH is Ricky! Winning two back-to-back HOH competition was a big move, but Ricky had to evict two houseguests on the spot. Ricky decided that Tamar was his best option, sending Dina and Lolo packing ahead of the final vote. Dina took it well, because, well, she won zero competitions in the house. Lolo on the other hand, well, she was pissed! “Fifty thousand dollars, after he gets second [place] — after taxes and his agent’s fee, it’s really not much,” Lolo complained to Julie. If anything, this solidified the fact that Lolo is not a team player. Her attitude throughout the game has rubbed a lot of fans the wrong way. The funniest part of her being out the house was putting her hand up for Ryan Lochte to hit it. It was like she forgot the way she treated him. She flipped the bird at him, cussed at him, and told numerous lies. Her behavior was bizarre. They had been living for 9 days without hot water, heat and warm meals during one of the coldest days of the year. It hurt her just to see them live this way and on her social media pages people wrote that because they’re locked up they deserve what they get. She mentioned that most of these men are awaiting trail and deserve basic human rights like the rest of us. Smith even spoke about how some said the only reason she was helping those prisoners was because her husband, Mendeecees Harris is in there. This Is Us viewers are forced to break out multiple boxes of tissues on a weekly basis. The NBC drama is darn good, but darn sad and sentimental as well. Now, however, due to a bit of shocking news from showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Dan Fogelman, fans of the series are likely to lose their emotional $hit for reasons that have nothing to do with ongoing storylines. This is a long-winded way of saying the following: This Is Us is coming to an end!!!!!! In, like, three years. But still. In a revealing interview with Deadline, Aptaker and Fogelman say pretty clearly that the show will likely wrap up after Season 6. “We’ve got multiple seasons mapped out,” Fogelman tells the outlet of his beloved drama, which is currently in Season 3. “I think this season has been a lot about redemption, but also a lot of rebirth. Next season is a season of new beginnings and restarts.” Fans can expect interweaving timelines to play an even more prominent role in 2019-2020, the producers promise, but they also reveal that the plan all along has been to conclude This Is Us after six seasons. Explains Aptaker: “From day one, Dan came in with his master plan for the big picture stuff of the show and said, ‘I think this is where we end up. I think this is what I know. Let’s figure out the rest together.’ “So all of the writers and the actors really know everything. “We’re all pretty good at keeping secrets by now, it’s been three years, but it’s a total open book for everyone who works on the show, so there are no secrets from each other.” Naturally, of course, NBC may have something to say about this plan. The network renewed This Is Us for two additional seasons during its initial run, making it clear that it saw long-term potential in the stories of Jack, Randall, Kate and company. If the series maintains its popularity, and executies offer Aptaker and Fogelman enough money to stick around, who the heck knows? This Is Us could air 17 seasons in the end. For now, however, arcs and stories are being written with the sixth season end date in mind. And it sounds like the two men in charge know exactly how they want to say goodbye. “I would hope that it’s elegant,” Aptaker told Deadline of the series finale, which he’s already thought about it.” He continued: “That’s what we’re going for. I would hope that when we reach our ending, people think it’s a really satisfying end place, that makes sense, and it feels like they’ve watched something that is a complete piece of work because that’s really how we’re trying to plan it. “Almost like you would a book, or a super-long movie. “We’ve had this end in mind for a long time, so we’re able to plan for it, and try to make it feel like it’s a whole, as opposed to a series that’s going to go endlessly.” This Is Us – which stars, among others, Sterling K. Brown, Justin Hartley, Chrissy Metz, Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia – airs Tuesdays at 9/8 c on NBC. It will definitely make you cry. But it’s pretty fantastic.
