Someone may try to harm you for clicks. This is what happened to a YouTube star recently, according to details of his restraining order. With over 300,000 subscribers, allegedly he was physically attacked and stalked with cameras by another YouTuber. According to The Blast , on January 16, Sam Pepper filed court documents seeking protection against Brandon Hampton, calling him a “stalker.” He claims, “Brandon has no regard for the law and will do much crazier things to me if I don’t have the protection.” Pepper says Hampton was “punching me in the face to make a video to post online for attention, turning up at my home location uninvited while live streaming to his viewers, and in the latest attack turning up at my home while videotaping and vandalizing my vehicle to which I called the police.” The judge granted the request and ordered Hampton to stay 100 yards away from Pepper and his home. At this point, just about every star in the Teen Mom franchise has threatened to quit the show over clashes with producers and/or fans. Thus far, none of the moms has actually made good on her threats. That’s not surprising, as it’s easier to talk about walking away from a cushy six-figure gig than it is to actually do it. These days, Jenelle Evans is threatening to quit , and she may be the first to actually cut ties with the show by choice. After all, no cast member has ever generated nearly as much controversy — or attracted as much negative attention — as Jenelle. In a new trailer for the upcoming season of Teen Mom 2 , Jenelle engages in a heated discussion with her mother, Barbara Evans. (Most of Jenelle’s conversations are with Barbara this season, as her husband, David Eason, was fired from the show, and she’s not on speaking terms with her most recent ex, Nathan Griffith.) “This will probably be my last season,” a tearful Jenelle tells her mom in the clip below. And while we would be somewhat surprised to see her cut off her family’s sole source of income (David remains unemployed nearly a year after losing his TV gig.), Jenelle has been signaling that she’s fed up with the show for quite some time now. And with all the negative attention she’s been drawing to herself lately, stepping away from the spotlight is probably the best thing Jenelle could do. Well, divorcing David Eason and fleeing with her kids to safety is the best thing Jenelle could do, but lowering her public profile is the second best thing she could do. There have been so many David and Jenelle scandals in recent months that it’s difficult to decide which is the most horrendous. Obviously, David (allegedly) beating Jenelle and leaving her hospitalized is a strong contender. But Eason posting terrorist threats on Instagram and being investigated by the Secret Service is pretty f–ked up, as well. After that tense promo for Season 8 of Sister Wives , fans are questioning if Meri Brown will even stick around. In real time, however, she just celebrated her birthday. And Kody was right there to celebrate it with her. Take a look: Meri Brown shared this cheerful photo of her with her husband, Kody. In the captions of the Instagram picture, she provided the happy context. “So Kody and I went out for my birthday the other night,” Meri begins. “And,” she shares, the two of them “found this hidden gem in Flagstaff.” “I mean, maybe it was hidden,” she admits. Meri then presents an alternative: “maybe we’re just new to town lol!” As you may recall, the Sister Wives officially moved to Arizona in September of 2018. So, what was this possible hole-in-the-wall that Meri and Kody discovered? “#BlackBartsSteakhouse and Musical Revue was so fun,” Meri raves. “And,” she continues. “We got to experience the musical talents of students from #NAU.” Live music hit or miss, so we’re glad that they enjoyed it. “Definitely a win!!” Meri concluded. During the Season 8 promo, Meri was crushed when Kody refused to give her a down payment for the bed and breakfast that she wants to open. She and Kody were in conflict after that, and Meri seemed — once again — like she wanted to make a change. “Part of me wants to just stand up and say, okay fine, I don’t need you guys,” Meri said. Some interpreted that as Meri saying that she had one foot out the door already. Others believed that she was simply resolving to open the bed and breakfast on her own. There was more, however, as Meri spoke to her sister-wife, Christine Brown. “You don’t feel comfortable around me,” Meri accused. Christine was then shown speaking into the confessional. “The sister wives relationship is super tricky,” Christine admitted. Christine explained that this is “because you’re trying to be best friends with the woman who has a relationship with your husband.” That makes sense. Some polyamorous relationships feature everyone involved in a relationship with everyone else. That is not the case for Mormon polygamy. They are each married to Kody and Kody to them. Jealousy and favoritism have been major thematic issues for the Sister Wives . Part of that tension remains rooted in Meri’s six-month online relationship — one that turned out to be the result of Catfishing. “I didn’t know how to get out of the situation without putting myself, family, and friends at greater risk,” Meri admitted. “It was a very difficult time,” she confessed. “I had a lot of anxiety.” “My family was very concerned for our safety,” she continued. “And angry that we had been targeted.” Some fans have been rooting for Meri to get away from Kody, whom many consider to be a creep. Source: Anisa Pennie / Anisa Pennie BOSSIP Editor Takes On 5K For Disney’s RunDisney Race Weekend Y’all know we love a good trip , so when iOne’s Pop Culture division Senior Content Director Janeé Bolden had the opportunity to take part in the 26th annual Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend presented by Cigna, she signed up for the 5K right away. For those not already in the know, RunDisney is one of America’s most popular destination races. What started out with just 8,200 runners in 1994 has grown to over 100,000 athletes and spectators. It’s a great opportunity for athletes at all levels too. The four-day race weekend offers activities for runners of all ages and levels including the 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon, runDisney Kids Races and runDisney Health and Fitness Expo. After arriving in Orlando Wednesday, January 9th, Janeé’s first stop was the Boardwalk Inn Resort, where she stayed for the race weekend. After checking in and securing her MagicBand, (Disney’s bracelet that serves as a room key and access pass to the parks) Janeé headed to the Health and Fitness Expo to grab her bib and race shirt. The expo offered up all kinds of goodies for sale; like compression socks, colorful kicks and costumes (after all, this is Disney where even athletes like to get in the spirit). Next stop was an early dinner because the 5K was set to start bright and early at 5:30 am and racers are expected to line up at the starting line beginning at 4:30. A word to the wise — when choosing costumes for runDisney we highly advise you to think of something that incorporates LAYERS! At 4:30 am the temperatures in Orlando were a breezy 46 degrees. Shout out to the brave couple who dressed as Jasmine and Aladdin! Everywhere we looked there were group of people in themed costumes — there was one group dressed as a monorail (complete with a speaker that made train conductor appropriate announcements), a family with shirts exclaiming that their dad made them run together and all kinds of Mickeys, Minnies and Goofys… There were also more than a few folks rocking Dopey Challenge shirts. The Dopey Challenge is for folks who are up for the task of running a 5K on Thursday, a 10K on Friday, a half marathon on Saturday and a marathon on Sunday. Source: Disney / Disney The 5K takes runners through Epcot Center and for the folks in the last group, it’s pretty spectacular watching the sun rise over the park while gasping for air. Fortunately there are plenty of reasons to pause along the way — including to get in line for photos with Scottish Donald Duck and other characters. Like many other racers, we took advantage of being up early to visit Disney’s parks after the 5K. Thursday we hit up Animal Kingdom, where we enjoyed the Flights of Passage ride in Pandora twice before heading over to Asia to ride Mount Everest — also twice. We took advantage of Park Hopper tickets, so the second half of the day was spent at Hollywood Studios where we rode the Tower of Terror before finishing the night at the Fantasmic show — a spectacular showcase of the many popular Disney characters and songs that includes lights, boats, projections and fireworks. The race has a 5:30 start time too but there are a lot more groups racing. We watched the race via live feed and waited at the finish line for the winners. The male winner Fredison Costa took the gold for his 7th time! Costa is a native of Brazil, like the female winner Gianna Martins. Both racers were nice enough to talk to BOSSIP about their wins… And Fredison was so excited he hugged everyone at the finish line. We’re wishing him good luck because he’s got another marathon ahead next week — he’ll be competing in the London Marathon. One thing about runDisney is that it may be at the happiest place on earth and the athletes might get into character but it’s still a very serious race because it serves as a qualifier for the Olympics and other important races. With the recent drama that Dame Dash caused when he tried to throw Jay-Z’s reputation under the bus , this has become the current situation. In a recently unearthed video, former Roc-A-Fella in-house videographer Choke No Joke actually corroborated Funk Master Flex’s allegation that Dame Dash tried to steal Beyoncé from Jay-Z during an interview with Star. When asked by the OG radio personality if something ever happened between Dame Dash and Beyoncé, Choke confirmed that Dame indeed tried to get it popping with Bey behind Jay’s back, but ultimately nothing happened. “Yup. mean nothing happened like he kissed or sexed her. Did he try to holler at her? Yeah. That’s the same thing he did with Aaliyah, but Aaliyah fell for it. He also wasn’t gonna violate Jay like that. Here is what we learned from after watching the reveal event. The New Graphics Engine If you thought Mortal Kombat X was the ceiling for the franchise graphically, you were dead wrong. After viewing Mortal Kombat 11’s reveal trailer, it’s clear that the vicious fades, bone-crushing action, level design, and character detail takes the game to another level. Thanks to the improvements in graphics and gameplay we can now customize the characters more than ever before down to the slightest detail like changing Scorpion’s spear. Anyway, we revisit Annalise’s trauma from losing her baby. Last season ended with Nate beating Miller to death and Bonnie finishing the job by smothering him as he tried to cling to consciousness. Bonnie is distraught and the only person comforting her right now is Frank. Frank mentions that Gabriel knows her ex is dead and they need to figure something out. Of course, Frank calls Annalise to ask her to talk him through the whole thing and Annalise basically tells him, “Nope!” She has a whole ‘nother demon to deal with. Gabriel broke into her house demanding answers about Sam. Annalise pours him a drink and tells him everything. She tells him that she’s not the reason his mom and Sam broke up, that Sam abandoned his mother before he was born (and lied to Annalsie), and then she reveals that Wes killed Sam and even plays what’s supposed to be an audio confession. Gabriel doesn’t seem to want to let it go. Throughout the episode, Annalise convinces him to move on from the past and even says, “It’s better to have a dead father than a bad one.” Ouch But you can’t blame her. Because this entire episode incorporates flashbacks of Sam being awful, but hold that thought. Laurel informs the crew that Gabriel is Sam’s son. They’re all disturbed by this revelation because they think he’s investigating Sam’s death so they’re trying to figure out what to do. But of course, they jump to conclusions and assume he’s dead already, especially when Michaela mentions seeing blood on Bonnie’s leg at the wedding, and the fact that they haven’t seen him in a while (but we know where he is). Later on, they reach out to Frank to see if he killed Gabe, but Frank tells them to stop panicking and that he’ll probably turn up in the morning. Then we flashback to Annalise and Sam returning from the hospital after her c-section. Sam helps her get in bed and pretty much abandons her. He looks up a Vivian Maddox in Chicago and gives her a call. In case you haven’t figured it out, that’s the woman he abandoned. She doesn’t answer the phone but he leaves an apology message, talmbout how he wants to meet his son and how he misses her and how they were together and how he never stopped loving her. Later on, Annalise tells Frank she wants to adopt a baby and he’s adamantly against it. They get into a screaming match and Sam says she won’t adopt if she wants to stay married to him. Annalise says she’s going through with it with or without him. He says then it will be without him and leaves. He was going to leave anyway, but being an emotionally abusive prick makes it easier for him to storm off. This fool actually goes to Chicago. He lies and tells Annalise that he’s going to spend some time with his sister. Vivian’s mom greets him after he knocks on the door and tells him to go away if he really wants to do what’s right, but on his way out he runs into 11-year-old Gabriel coming back from playing outside. He’s holding his basketball and the only exchange they have is Sam asking if he’s a Bulls fan. The answer is yes. Hopefully, that was the day Gabe learned to be like Mike, not Sam. Annalise’s kids know by now that Gabriel is alive but they’re concerned that he’s trying to find new evidence in the Sam case that he can bring to the DA. Asher says they’ll be okay because they have friends in the da’s office, specifically citing Miller…who they don’t know is dead. Of course, they have good reason to be suspicious of Gabe! Hold that thought. Annalise tries to kill herself after learning that her bid for adoption didn’t go through. She calls Frank, who doesn’t answer the phone, surprise, and begs him to come home, but he’s trash. It’s actually Bonnie who finds her unconscious from an overdose on pain pills and subsequently saves her life. Frank confronts Sam when he finally returns home and gives him a piece of paper. Sam wants to know how Frank got ahold of if and Frank says he knows all about Sam’s Lying King shenanigans and tells him to just get rid of it and be the husband Annalise needs. Sam finds Annalise and pretends to care. The episode ends with us hearing Sam’s voice reading an email, the same email that Frank printed out and handed to him. It’s an apology letter to Vivian for abandoning she and her son and all that jazz. He basically repeats all the stuff he said about still loving her, etc. Nate finally reappears during this montage. He heads to Bonnie’s house and tells her not to feel bad—that Miller’s death is his fault. Next, Gabriel calls someone and says he screwed up because they found out who he is. But again, we knew he was the ops. Now it’s a matter of figuring out who he’s working for. Finally, Annalise’s ex-girlfriend, Eve, comes to visit Frank in the past, hands him the email and says she needs his help. We have no idea how she got it, but then we cut to the future where Eve has given Annalise the email and says Sam never deserved her. I mean, she’s not wrong.
