Right after West met with President Donald Trump and a weird Apple store “keynote speech,” the Chicago superstar traveled to Uganda t o a resort where he and his team erected a futuristic outdoors recording studio. The Blast reports : In a video he titled, “Spaceship calling earth| 3 Domes Uganda,” West started off sitting inside one of the tents before wandering outside. At one point, West gets a little annoyed when a sound engineer stops the music before he had a chance to start rapping. One particular lyric stood out from the rest: “Relax your mind, let your conscience be free, no matter what they say, I’m a still be me. Be free, be free, be free!” For all you “Poopy-di scoop” fans, we have good news — the infamous non-sensical lyric makes a return in this new video. Source: Maria Aufmuth / Getty Serena Williams Reveals She Struggles With Self-Doubts As A Mom Serena Williams was one of several speakers at the Pennsylvania Conference for Women where she talked motherhood , disparities in health outcomes between black and white moms, and more. You’ll recall Serena nearly died after giving birth to her adorable daughter, Alexis Olympia . In an article written for CNN back in February, she revealed: “First my C-section wound popped open due to the intense coughing I endured as a result of the embolism. I returned to surgery, where the doctors found a large hematoma, a swelling of clotted blood, in my abdomen. And then I returned to the operating room for a procedure that prevents clots from traveling to my lungs.” At the time, Serena also spoke about Black moms-to-be not getting proper care: “According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, black women in the United States are over three times more likely to die from pregnancy or childbirth-related causes. But this is not just a challenge in the United States. Around the world, thousands of women struggle to give birth in the poorest countries. When they have complications like mine, there are often no drugs, health facilities or doctors to save them. If they don’t want to give birth at home, they have to travel great distances at the height of pregnancy.” Now, according to The Philly Voice , she told some 10,000 women on Friday: “I did some research and I was alarmed that our black mothers are not being taken care of. It’s in this country that is supposed to be so technologically advanced. Why are we treating out mothers like this?” Adding, “It’s really unacceptable…I feel like if I can help save lives—that’s one of the best things that you can do.” Source: Gilbert Carrasquillo / WireImage / Getty In the process of gushing about how supportive her husband, Alexis Ohanian , has been, Serena also told the crowd she has some insecurities: “I always have these insecurities that I’m not good enough as a mom. We all go through these different emotions that we all don’t feel comfortable talking about. But I think we should.” You’ve got to love her.
RODRIGO ARANGUA/AFP/Getty Images Friends And Family Are Left In Shock A woman in Panama City met a tragic end when she tried to take a selfie on a balcony. According to Metro , 44-year-old Sandra Manuela Da Costa Macedo was trying to take a selfie on the 27th-floor balcony of a building last Friday. Police sources say a gust of wind must have knocked Macedo off balance and she fell to her death with her selfie stick still in hand. Nearby, construction workers filmed the whole incident, worried that Macedo would fall during her photo session. You can check out the distressing video they filmed here . Macedo, who is said to be a teacher and mom of two, had just moved to Panama City from Portugal. Friends and acquaintances posted tributes to her online when news hit of her tragic death. Erick Alzate, a witness who lives on the same block the incident took place, gave more insight into the tragedy. “She had been taking selfies for a couple of minutes and construction workers on a block opposite were shouting to her to be careful,” said Alzate. “She decided to sit on the railing for the last selfie and that’s when she went over the edge.” Many of the reactions on social media ranged from condolences to disappointment, according to Metro . One person wrote, “Rest in peace. Such a stupid way to die,” while a Jose Guillermo wrote, “Peace for her soul and strength for her family.” Maria del Carmen wrote, “Such a tragedy that such a beautiful lady like you loses their life this way. My sincere condolences for your loved ones.” After Macedo’s tragic incident, Panama’s Fire Service posted a warning on its official Twitter page which said, “Don’t risk your life for a selfie. It’s more important to lose a minute in life than your life in a minute.”

So it was a given that Saturday Night Live would recreate their bizarre at best lovefest. With Alec Baldwin once again playing Donald Trump and Chris Redd portraying Kanye West, the jokes were flying. The conclusion, Yeezy is the Black version of Cheeto. “Oh my God, he’s Black me,” said SNL Trump (in his inner voice) after witnessing a man with an ego and narcissism to match. All things considered, where is the lie? Worth noting is that Baldwin also included a nod to his headass notion that Black people love him because of Trump portrayal . Also, props to the SNL writer who include the “scoopity dee whoop” Yeezy lyrics slander (see: “Lift Yourself”).

Photo by Jayne Kamin-Oncea/Getty Images Former American Idol Star Antonella Barba Arrested For Heroin Distribution Former American Idol contestant Antonella Barba has been busted for alleged distribution of heroin, according to the people over at TMZ . The publication is reporting that Barba was arrested earlier this week, on the morning of October 11 while in Norfolk, VA. She is being charged with heroin distribution of more than 100 grams, which is a felony in the state along with carrying a sentence of up to 40 years in prison–some pretty serious business. The time that Barba spent on Idol wasn’t very long, but she still managed to make a big impact on fans. The singing hopeful made it to the cusp of the show’s top 12 round before being eliminated in a season that ultimately ended up being won by none other than Jordin Sparks. Antonella’s short stint on the competition also managed to stir up a bit of controversy after photos of her posing in a wet t-shirt while in Washington D.C.’s National World War II Museum Memorial fountain were surfacing around the internet. Since being eliminated from the competition so many years back, Barba has only appeared on national television a few more times. She competed on Fear Factor in 2012, where the show oddly made absolutely no mention of her being a former American Idol contestant at all. She also appeared in a recent sketch on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that pulled together former Idol contestants for a musical “Where Are They Now?” segment. This also isn’t Barba’s first confrontation with the law–Before her Fear Factor appearance 6 years ago, she was busted for shoplifting in New York City in 2011. As far as American Idol goes, the original run of the program lasted 15 seasons before Fox pulled the plug back in April 2016. The show returned for a 16th season on ABC earlier this year, with its old panel of judges wiped out and replaced with Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie.

The sketch comedy show once again had Alec Baldwin play Trump while Chris Redd played an exceptionally kooky Kanye. A C-Span introduction noted that the two discussed prison reform, education, alternate universes and flying cars before “Trump” introduced Kanye and downed rumors that this was a publicity stunt. Baldwin: “Thank you all for joining us today for this important discussion. It’s in no way a publicity stunt. This is a serious, private conversation between three friends, plus 50 reporters with cameras.” Redd: “Yeah, that’s right. I flew here using the power of this hat.” Baldwin: “And Kanye, I want to thank you for giving me a pair of your sneakers. They’re perfect for me because they’re white, they’re wide, and they’re never going to be worth as much as you say they are. I’m sure that Kanye wants to make one or two brief, lucid remarks. Redd: “First, let me begin with the idea that time is a myth, infinite amounts universe, and I’m a prisoner in a different dimension. Her J-Setting, prancing and stepping was all the way on point. One fan tweeted , “ @Beyonce gave us a HBCU homecoming performance, just so y’all know. I mean the whole homecoming. Step show. Band. Dance. Concert. I’m telling you. You better do your research and then enroll! You won’t regret it.” And unlike some stars who steal from the lesser known without any form of compensation, Bey gave away 100,000 worth of scholarships to HBCU students . Some fans even joked that the Queen Bey didn’t get to live out her dream of being the HBCU dance team captain because she had to be Beyoncé. Whether that’s facts or not, we don’t know —but what we do know is that the power of the HBCU band dancers is not to be underestimated. From the outfits, to the music selections to the flawless routines, band majorettes are and integral part of not only the Black college experience, but Black culture as a whole. A Magnum P.I. lookin’ white woman has been dubbed “Cornerstore Caroline” after calling the cops on a 9-year-old Black child who she claimed sexually assaulted her by grabbing her butt inside a New York bodega. A Facebook user was walking down the street and began to record the woman as she was on the phone with the police while the crying boy and his mother stood by. Thing is, the boy did not “sexually assault” this beyotch. In fact, there is security camera footage of EXACTLY what happened and it exonerates the child of any wrongdoing whatsoever.
