Kathy Griffin has some things to say. And, as you’ll see, that’s actually a massive, massive understatement. Back in May, as you’ll surely remember, Kathy did a photo shoot in which she held the decapitated head of Donald Trump — a Halloween mask covered in ketchup. It caused quite a stir: she was fired from multiple gigs, and she was even the subject of a federal investigation. Shortly after sharing the photo, she apologized , explaining that sometimes with comedy, lines can be crossed, and this was one of those times. But in the months since, she’s retracted her apology because “The whole thing got so blown out of proportion.” She said that the photo didn’t only cost her jobs, but friends began turning against her, she and her family started getting death threats. And now, five months later, she’s still dealing with the backlash. Earlier this week, it was announced that Andy Cohen would be replacing Kathy on CNN’s New Year’s Eve special, and when Andy was asked about it by TMZ, he replied with “Who? I don’t know her.” Meaning that he didn’t know Kathy — you know that classic Mariah Carey move. Except that Andy and Kathy definitely know each other, since she had a show on Bravo for years. She addressed that in a pointed tweet. “Even when it’s on tape, there are doubters?” she wrote. “He is NOT kidding w paps. Was my boss for 10 years. Treated me like a dog. Deeply misogynistic.” She was so upset by Andy’s words that she did a 17 minute video in which she went after him, TMZ boss Harvey Levin, and all the people she’s ever interacted with in her career that did her dirty. She kicks the video off by explaining that the fallout from the Trump photo is still going on , and it’s actually gotten worse. To prove that, she shares a voicemail she’d gotten from Harvey — he asked her to call him back for a chat and left his phone number, which she doesn’t disguise at all in the video. The reason for releasing his phone number, she says, is because after the Trump photo was released, she was doxxed mercilessly — and she feels that since Harvey is “in bed with everybody from Hollywood to Donald Trump,” he deserves similar treatment. From there, she jumps on to Andy Cohen, who she says was a “miserable boss” during her years at Bravo. She mocks him a bit for being an executive who then gave himself his own talk show — “seems to get picked up every season,” she joked. After that, Kathy jumps back to Harvey for a moment — she seems a little scatterbrained throughout the video, honestly, but we can’t really blame her. She claims that Tyler Shields, the photographer who took the photo, told her that two different people from TMZ told him that Harvey speaks with Trump multiple times a week. “Is that OK with you guys?” she asks. “The president talking to a gossip blogger?” Back to Andy, Kathy alleges that the two times she appeared on Watch What Happens Live, he offered her cocaine before filming began. So there’s that. About TMZ, she says that the website itself is extremely misogynistic, and that ageism is a big problem, too. “Harvey Levin, have you ever done anything honorable, ever?” she asks. “What do you do besides tear women down and make a bunch of money?” She actually refers to him as “the gay male version of Kellyanne Conway.” All throughout the video, she names people — not famous people, just people she’s worked with in the industry — who she feels let her down in some way. After all this, at the end of the video, she explains that she recorded it in the first place because she’s currently on a world tour, and she’s leaving Australia soon for Singapore. She’s been advised that she’s on multiple international lists, and that she’s been detained at every airport she’s been to in recent months. “So when I go to Singapore, if I just don’t return, I just want you guys to know, that’s why. Because I took a picture of a mask with ketchup on it.” Thoughts?
Audrey Roloff has given Little People, Big World some fun insight into her daughter. First, the beloved TLC star shared a new photo of her baby girl. And, what can we say, it’s downright adorable… Second, Roloff has written something interesting about Ember Jean, who is just over six weeks old. Following a general status update on Ember upon the occasion of her one-month birthday, Audrey is now here to tell us what song her child likes to hear most often. Along with what change Audrey has made to the lyrics. “I sure do spend a lot of time in bed, but never actually sleeping of course,” Audrey wrote as a caption to the photo above. And it’s true: She and Jeremy Roloff have mentioned on multiple occasions that Ember isn’t exactly a great sleeper. Not yet, at least. But Audrey wasn’t trying to criticize her child with this post. Quite the opposite, really. “How could you not want to just cuddle in bed all day with a face like that?!” she continued, adding: “Ember likes it when I sing to her – and she’s probably the only person on the planet that does – but for some reason I can never think of any other songs to sing except amazing grace!” That is a classic. And it’s appropriate for someone as dedicated to her faith as Audrey Roloff. Added the mother of one: “They other day I was singing it to her on repeat and I suddenly had an urge to replace the “me’s” with “you’s.” “This verse became particularly encouraging as I sang it over her instead of myself, “The Lord has promised good to YOU His word YOUR hope secures; He will YOUR sheild and portion be… “As long as life endures, Yet when YOUR flesh and heart shall fail, And mortal life shall cease, YOU shall possess, within the veil, A life of joy and peace.” It’s been so nice to see Audrey open up a lot more of late when it comes to Ember. For a little while there, the reality star admitted that the adjustment to parenthood was a struggle, but she’s been sharing more and more photos recently of her bundle of joy. And Ember has even gotten out of the house to enjoy some special trips . We’re grateful to Audrey and Jeremy for opening up their lives in this kind of manner to their fans and we continue to wish their family health and happiness. But the question that fans seem most obsessed with is that of whether or not Blake and Gwen will ever expand their family. Yes, it seems that not a week goes by without one tabloid or another reporting that Stefani is pregnant , trying to get pregnant, or looking into adoption. This week, it’s Us Weekly ‘s turn, and the magazine is going all-in with “quotes” from a “source” who says getting pregnant is Gwen’s top priority these days. In fact, the tipster claims that baby making is number one on the singers’ agenda, even taking precedence over getting married. “[Gwen and Blake] will get married one day,” a Shelton insider tells the Us, “but right now they are hyper-focused on getting pregnant.” So what’s the hold-up? For starters, Gwen is 48 years old. Sure, we live in the age of Janet Jackson popping out babies at 50 , but that doesn’t mean getting pregnant in middle-age is commonplace or uncomplicated. “Starting a family has not been easy for them,” says the insider. “It’s something that they really want and it’s just not working out the way they wanted it to.” So why not just adopt? Well, it seems Blake really has his heart set on having biological children of his own. “Blake told Gwen he does want kids of his own,” says a Shelton source, “and Gwen was willing to try. “With her, Blake has the exact relationship and family life he’d hoped to have with Miranda. Gwen’s everything he wants,” says the insider. He has everything he wants, but … he just wants a little bit more? We’re starting to think that either Blake’s confused, or this insider is. Anyway, while the struggle to conceive brings many challenges with it, Gwen and Blake apparently believe the whole experience is only making them stronger. “They struggle they’re facing is making them stronger,” says the Shelton insider. “They are so committed to one another and protective of one another.” Hey, whatever works. Teddy Geiger has made a very personal admission. The singer-songwriter responded to a question by a follower on Twitter today by coming clean about something that has apparently been on his mind for a long time. “Tell us, why do you look different lately?” the commenter wrote, to which Geiger responded very simply and straightforwardly: “ Okay… because u asked nicely… I am transitioning. Oh. Wow. The artist didn’t delve into too much detail, or explain precisely what he means by “transitioning,” but the safe assumption is that he plans to live life as a woman in the near future. Will this mean plastic surgery? Gender reassignment surgery? We’d just be speculating right now if we were to say. Added Geiger, who appeared on the VH1 reality competition In Search of the Partridge Family in2004 and went on to release the 2006 album Underage Thinking: I started talking about it with a couple of my close friends and family about a month ago and it’s given me the courage to start the process. I feel like the next step is to tell all y’all. So here goes. Love it or hate this is who i have been for a looooong time. I love u guys. Talk sooooon byeeee. The singer has a Top 40 single on his resume with 2006’s “For You I Will (Confidence).” Geiger has also performed on Hilary Duff’s 2005 tour Still Most Wanted and appeared in the 2008 film The Rocker. In recent years, his own singing career has taken a backseat to his songwriting career. Geiger has penned a slew of major tracks for A-list acts, including the following singers/band and singles: One Direction (“Where Do Broken Hearts Go”) Shawn Mendes (“Stitches,” “Treat You Better,” “Mercy,” “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back”) Maroon 5 (“Who I Am,” off the group’s upcoming album.) We salute Geiger for taking this brave step. We hope he finds happiness in living life as the person he truly believes himself to me. Awhile back, of course, Caitlyn Jenner made major headlines when she made a similar transition. Super producer Ryan Murphy, meanwhile, has announced that his next FX series (“Pose) will feature five transgender actors in series regular roles, the largest number to ever grace the screen in a scripted TV program. It’s becoming far more socially acceptable for individuals in these situations to embrace their true selves and to talk about it openly in public. Which is pretty refreshing, isn’t it?
