Not too many people can pull of crude, slapstick comedy quite like Adam Sandler — just add Jennifer Aniston to the mix and you’ve got yourself the perfect comedy flick. Last time the dynamic duo teamed up was back in 2011 with the now cult classic Just Go With It . But the hilarious pair have join forces once again for Murder Mystery . The Netflix original film tells the story of a New York cop and his wife who go on a European vacation to reinvigorate the spark in their marriage, but end up getting framed and go on the run for the death of an elderly billionaire. And needless to say, the film was clever and funny AF — all one hour and 37 minutes of it. I caught with Adam and Jennifer and they dished on murder mysteries, Saturday Night Live, and of course, Friends. When asked about his favorite Friends episode, the Happy Madison Productions founder said: “The one where Rachel spills hot coffee on herself. That was the best one. Come on, do it again!” As for Jennifer’s favorite SNL skit starring Sandler, she quickly answered: “Oh I love Opera Man! Love it. It was so good.” Adam joked, “I use to wear the Opera Man wig, and sing to Jen!” If you haven’t seen Murder Mystery, then what are you waiting for? Catch the Kyle Newacheck directed film on Netflix now. Check out the full video above to see what else the stars had to say.
Tori Roloff continues to be very open about her second pregnancy. The popular Little People, Big World star announced back in mid-May that she was expecting her second child. But Tori and Zach did even more than this at the time: they also announced the baby’s gender and approximate due date. “Zachary and I are so excited to announce that Jackson is going to be a big brother! We are expecting a sweet baby girl this November,” the tandem said this spring, adding as a message to fans: “Thank you so much for always supporting our family and loving us!” Since this time, Roloff has posted several snapshots her growing baby bump , telling followers that it’s bigger than it was at this stage with son Jackson and that she feels self-conscious about the excess weight. It’s a feeling to which millions of women around the globe can likely relate. Now, via her Instagram Stories page, Tori has basically provided fans with their very first glimpse at future Little Girl Roloff… … sonogram style! Tori didn’t include a caption along with this image, but what is there to say about it, really? We just appreciate Roloff being so constantly candid about her expecting state and her baby to come. Just a few days ago, she actually grew more honest than ever, admitting that her stomach made her feel fat and ugly , despite the miraculous reason why it has been growing at such a rapid rate. “This pregnancy has been a lot harder on me than the last,” Tori wrote on Instagram, careful not to throw herself too big of a pity party by adding: “Don’t get me wrong-I’ve been so lucky… im not sick (anymore) and I haven’t had any complications (thank the lord). However I have had a harder time accepting my body this go around. “I’ve gotten bigger a lot faster than I did with Jackson and I’ve become a lot more insecure.” To Roloff’s amazing credit, however, she is using this insecure feeling as a way to build up others in a similar situation. “Hearing people ask me if I’m sure it’s not twins definitely does not help (for all our sakes-don’t ever ask a woman this question. Like ever),” she continued. “It’s been hard to really enjoy this pregnancy because I’ve let my own body image issues get in the way. Us as women are so badass. Like we can grow babies.” It’s true, fellas. Never forget this. Concluded Tori in this post/message: And I know I need to give this up to God right and be thankful for this gift-and I’m trying trust me. But for all those women out there-pregnant or not- you need to hear this just like I do: you’re beautiful, you’re strong, and dang it love yourself no matter what. I know someone besides just me needs to hear that today. So excuse me while I go try my best to live out these words and continue growing a freaking human being. We so admire Tori for speaking out on this topic and for encouraging other pregnant women across the Internet. One of those women is actually her sister-in-law because Audrey Roloff is also expecting child number-two. “Baby #2 is coming in January!!!” she wrote in online on July 1, keeping it simple and straightforward and concluding: “Ember is gonna be a big sister! We are so grateful and excited for this little blessing to join our family.” We send our very best to both Roloff women. Source: Frederick M. Brown / Getty Looks like Jermaine Dupri has caused quite a stir on Al Gore’s internet. The music industry vet usually stays pretty low key, but as of late, he’s been a little more publicly vocal than usual. Earlier this week, JD chatted with People Now and dished on his feelings about the current state of female hip hop. “I feel like they’re all rapping about the same thing. I don’t think they’re showing us who’s the best rapper. For me, it’s, like, strippers rapping. At some point, somebody is going to have to break out of that mold.” Boy oh boy, did that strike a nerve. Many people assumed that JD was talking about Cardi B when he made the comment, and apparently so did she. The stripper turned rapper went off on Dupri during an Instagram Live session on Thursday. “First of all, I rap about my p— because she’s my best friend and second of all it’s because it seems like that’s what people want to hear. When I did ‘Be Careful‘ people was talking mad s— in the beginning like ‘What the f— is this?’ ‘This is not what I was expecting” She went on to name a slew of female emcees that don’t rap about “vajayjays” and stripping. “I feel we need to put these girls in more magazines and blogs. Radio DJs play these girls. These girls can rap they asses off and they don’t rap about their vaginas and sucking d—.” View this post on Instagram SUPPORT SUPPORT SUPPORT A post shared by MOSTHATEDCARDI (@iamcardib) on Jul 11, 2019 at 1:48pm PDT And Cardi has a point. You’d think that someone has seasoned as JD would do a little more research before discrediting an entire demographic of artists. But this just further proves that some folks are just out of touch with what’s going on today. But don’t worry JD, we got you. Hit the flip for a list of DOPE female rappers whose subject matter will literally blow your mind.
N avigating adolescence was an uphill battle for South Carolina-bred entrepreneur TiffanyJ . The pressures of fitting in with her peers, her ongoing struggle with low self-esteem and depression and dealing with the complexities of a torn family that had been ravaged by divorce led to her first suicide attempt at 12 years old. Sadly, stories similar to TiffanyJ’s have become far too common amongst Black youth today. According to a study released by JAMA Pediatrics , the suicide rate for Black children is twice the rate of whites. Further research revealed that the suicide rate amongst Black girls between the ages of 13 and 19 increased by 182 percent between 2001 and 2017. While the experiences of Black youth are not monolithic and there are several different factors that come into play that shapes their lives, the alarming trend must be addressed. TiffanyJ is on a mission to prevent other Black children from becoming statistics and has been dedicated to using her creativity and artistry as a source of empowerment through her brand Super Beauty . The music artist, motivational speaker and business owner has always been passionate about using her own experiences to help others heal from their trauma. As a teen, she coped with her depression by turning to songwriting. In adulthood, she continues to utilize her creativity to heal. In 2018, she launched the Super Beauty doll line. The plush doll was created to empower Black girls who have found themselves in the same shoes that TiffanyJ was in as a child. Designed to help youngsters overcome depression and other forms of mental illness, the doll says over 20 positive phrases of upliftment. The Super Beauty mascot travels around the country to speak to young girls at schools, churches, and camps. For TiffanyJ, it’s all about representation. “The most rewarding thing about this journey is the responses that I get from what I’ve created. I can honestly say it has been an overwhelming flood of positivity. The joy people get has been the best part of it. It’s confirmation that you’re operating in your purpose,” she told NewsOne. “There is one girl that has every piece of merchandise that we’ve ever sold. She ran up to me at a festival with so much joy. Those types of interactions keep me inspired and motivated.” In 2019, the entrepreneur has taken her brand to new levels. Continuing her mission of empowerment, in February she launched a book called ABCs for the Culture which aims to teach youth about Black history. The book features Black facts from A through Z; some of which won’t be found in regular school curriculums. In the book, “B” stands for the Black Power Movement, “N” is for natural hair, and “S” is for soul. “Paying homage to Black history and culture and sharing our culture with others so they understand the richness of being Black was my ultimate mission. I wanted to inspire and empower our children to be proud and unapologetically Black,” she said. Source: TiffanyJ / TiffanyJ As far as what’s on the horizon for TiffanyJ and the Super Beauty brand, she plans on creating more books and dolls. She also wants to create Super Beauty bedroom decor and coloring books. Cognizant of the struggles faced by Black boys TiffanyJ is developing a character named Handsome Hero so they see themselves reflected. All in all, the entrepreneur wants to continue to help Black youth overcome depression. “Mental health is such a taboo in our community and that’s our biggest hurdle. We have to start showing people that it’s definitely okay to not be okay and we can’t shame them into silence,” she said. “Sharing your story is really powerful. It builds a sense of community and lets individuals know that they’re not alone.” SEE ALSO: Entrepreneur Creates Line Of Dolls To Help Black Girls Who Suffer From Depression Healthy Roots Dolls Empower Black Girls To Embrace Their Natural Hair [ione_media_gallery src=”https://newsone.com” id=”3881857″ overlay=”true”]

Source: Bea De Costa / Bea De Costa At Harlem’s “Field Trip” Rice Is The Star Of The Show Harlem’s celebrity chef JJ Johnson has opened a new eatery uptown where the rice takes the center stage. The humble grain is elevated at “Field Trip,” which showcases how rice has been overlooked, yet remained a staple in countries in the African Diaspora for thousands of years. Field Trip officially opened for business on July 10, hawking rice bowls that incorporate flavors from places like China, India, South East Asia, the Americas and West Africa. “Noodle bars have been getting love – why not rice?” Chef Johnson said. “We’re just trying to bring some more respect back to it. I don’t think it’s unfamiliar because we all eat it, but for it to be the center of the show, we haven’t seen that.” Source: Bea De Costa / Bea De Costa The restaurant serves rice bowls topped with ingredients like braised beef, spicy black beans and turmeric yogurt or salmon, pineapple and edamame topped with Piri Piri sauce. The bowls range in price from $8.99 to $11.99 and there’s a half-price option for kids. Source: Bea De Costa / Bea De Costa The mains are paired with inventive sides like crab pockets (fried dumplings filled with crab and garlic herb cream cheese) and there’s a dairy-free rice milk hibiscus raspberry ice cream for dessert. Source: Bea De Costa / Bea De Costa Field Trip is housed in a historic building on Lenox Avenue, and its exposed brick and a stripped back aesthetic gives the place an almost industrial feel. And it’s playlist features only Harlem-born artists. Chef Johnson said that he grew up eating rice, and got the idea for his restaurant after traveling the world as a young chef and seeing how other cultures incorporated the grain into their dishes. He said his rice varieties are freshly milled heirlooms that aren’t bleached or enriched. Source: Bea De Costa / Bea De Costa The rice-forward concept went over well with customer Marita Monroe, who lives a block away, gave “Field Trip” two thumbs up. “Finally, the community has a place to feel welcome,” Monroe said. “It’s not intimidating. And the pricing is great.” “Field Trip” is located at 109 Lenox Ave. in New York City.
Late last month, Amy Roloff made the astute observation that social media is not real . Many users out there pretend to be happy by sharing photos of them smiling or traveling or doing something cool when, in reality, these folks are living very regular lives or, sometimes, very un happy lives. Now, meanwhile, the long-time reality star has made headlines for saying something else is not real… … Little People, Big World itself! Amy has starred on the TLC program since the very beginning. It features her, ex-husband Matt and now, after son Jeremy left the series last summer, daughter-in-law Tori and another son, Zach. For the most part, Little People, Big World has been a huge success not because it depicts a great deal of drama between these Roloffs — but because it simply gives viewers an inside look at a cute family that seems to love each other a lot. But this isn’t always the case. And Amy just cited an example of when producers edited footage to make it appear as if something scandalous was afoot… when everything was actually just fine and dandy. On the most recent season, cameras followed Amy during a vacation she took with boyfriend Chris Marek. “I’m definitely enjoying the trip, but we did get into an argument,” Amy said at one point on this episode, adding: “When we were having dinner, he just left, and he was gone for a long time, and I was left by myself. I had no idea where he was, what we was doing… Ugh, I was so mad at him.” Fast forward to yesterday and the pictures – above and below – that Amy shared from a motorcycle ride she recently took with Marek, her serious boyfriend of about three years. When one fan asked: “Did he leave you alone in a restaurant again?” Amy replied: “No, and it’s amazing what editing can make a story into.” Wow, huh? This may not seem like a huge deal, but you almost never hear of a cast member flat-out admitting that the very show on which she stars is, essentially, fake. We can’t help but wonder how TLC executives are reacting to this quote. Not that it’s the first time such a thing has happened. Back in July of 2016, Jacob Roloff walked away from Little People, Big World, trashing his family members and also this same sort of editing in the process. “For the sake of ‘the episode’ and ratings I’ve seen a lot of STORYLINES drawn up (loosely) about our lives,” Jacob confessed at the time , adding in even more accusatory detail: “And when I was standing here, behind the scenes and watching it from an outside perspective I just couldn’t stop laughing. Laughing at how hard the producers have to try to get us to follow the talking points, and at how ridiculous the talking points are.” He even added: “The family that is filmed is not my famil. They are the Roloff Characters and I have scarcely anything in common with them, nor do I want to be a character myself.” Jacob has since made up with his loved ones, although he never really took back these remarks and no longer appears on the show. As for Amy? She’s been throwing unexpected haymakers all over the place these days! In a section of her new memoir, for example, Amy says Matt cheated on her with current girlfriend Caryn Chandler . “Matt and our farm manager, who had been working for us a number of years by then, seemed to have more than just a working relationship or friendship,” Roloff writes in this biography, adding in one charged chapter: “I saw messages, pictures, and other things that should not have been shared between people who just worked together and were still married to other people. “I was devastated.” Between this passage and Amy’s comment about how the series is edited… we’re suddenly more excited than ever for the new season of Little People, Big World. Source: Paul Archuleta / Getty This week on “The Real,” the ladies spoke about a topic that comes up quite often on the show. Good sex. Jeannie was saying that she really appreciates the way men open up conversationally after they’ve been physically, sexually satisfied. In response, Adrienne Bailon wondered if any of the other ladies had experienced a man being so emotionally overcome that he shed tears. Jeannie : When a man is in bed with you and he’s happy and he’s satisfied, he opens up and there’s thing and you get to talk to him about things where he’s not trying so hard. He’s just being him. Adrienne : Anybody ever cried after? I love that. That’s bomb. Tamera : Oh, the guys cries? Adrienne : They’re just overwhelmed with how much they love you, or how they feel about you or how bomb you were. They’re just like, sniffles. ‘That was amazing. God is good.’ This is going to get weird. Have you ever seen the movie Stella Got Her Groove Back and she’s in the shower and she sheds a tear. Has that ever happened to you? Tamera : Cuz it was so good…Yeah. Adrienne : I can’t be the only one. It’s not like [sob] literally a tear just comes out of your eye. I don’t even know how it happens. Jeannie : I don’t know if I cry. Because in that moment and it’s so good and you’re happy it’s like, ‘Yes Hunnay!’ Adrienne : You’ve never been so tense where just one tear.. it’s not like an intentional…it’s not emotional. Jeannie : No, no. Adrienne : I pray that upon your life. I really do. Text “RICKEY” to 71007 to join the Rickey Smiley Morning Show mobile club for exclusive news. ( Terms and conditions ). The story blew up because you know, sex is salacious and we often don’t think about men connecting to sex emotionally. But according to several sources, it’s a normal occurrence. And the reasons for the tears are varied. According to Healthline.com , tears during or after sex are quite common. They could be tears of joy, relief, melancholy, or they could be—as Adrienne stated— a purely physical reaction. You can be overcome by your emotions and the physical release, coupled with the emotions you feel for that person could result in tears. maybe you’re grateful for the physical sensations you’ve just experienced. I think we underestimate how big of a role human touch plays in our lives. Then there’s the reverse where feelings of uncertainty, instability or regret can result in not so happy tears.
