First Annual Cat Video Film Festival Winner: Revealed!

The Internet is run by cats. This is a scientific fact. As such, it was really only a matter of time before all the cat videos online were honored in some officially-sanctioned capacity, and the first annual Cat Video Film Festival at Minneapolis’ Walker Art Center this week did just that. More than 10,000 were on hand as Henri 2, Paw de Deux (below) was crowned the winner of the people’s choice award, a.k.a. The Golden Kitty!

An ad for the fake online relationship site was posted on Reddit earlier today in all its Caucasian glory. The most hilarious part – besides the surprisingly in-depth breakdown of the different shades of white – is that to a non-white individual, this is probably what most ads for legitimate dating sites seem like … as well as The Bachelor .

Insane Clown Posse Breaks Down "Call Me Maybe" Video

Thanks to the Carly Rae Jepsen smash sweeping the nation, we’ve been treated to a number of hilarious Call Me Maybe covers . But Insane Clown Posse members Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope have now filmed the first-ever Mystery Science 300 -esque breakdown of that track’s music video – and it’s downright awesome. The face-painted artists sit around and breakdown the action in front of them, from commenting on whether they’d get it on with Jepsen… to the video’s unrealistic portrayal of a gardener… to the band’s resemblance to the CreditScore.com guys… to the “twist” of an ending that seems to truly take the duo by surprise. Who came up with this idea? We have no clue. But let’s hope it isn’t the last we see of Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope serving as music video critics.

The classic pull-the-tablecloth-out-from-under-the-plates stunt is always a winner when done correctly, and the two youths clearly perfected the technique. Kanye West in Talks to Join American Idol?

Just when you thought American Idol had narrowed down its selections for the Season 12 judging table to a few names… According to TMZ, producers have reached out to Kanye West about sitting alongside Mariah Carey on the Fox juggernaut – and the rapper has expressed interest in the gig. West, of course, would bring major legitimacy and name recognition to the show. Although he’s really only been in the news these days because he’s dating Kim Kardashian for some reason. Insiders say Kanye is “on the fence” because he isn’t sure if Idol would be a solid fit for his brand, while those behind the program would need to consider writing another huge paycheck. West would not take a penny less than Carey’s $17 million/year, sources say. Nicki Minaj, meanwhile, is considered a near lock for one of the judging positions, much to the chagrin of Mariah . Would you want to see Kanye join them?

Grandma Chases Away Burglar With BBQ Fork, Reenacts Scene For Local News

Margaret Jackson of Houston taught some young miscreant a lesson he will never forget … by chasing him off with a BBQ fork after he attempted to rob her daughter. The 73-year-old grandmother was at her daughter’s house when the dog started barking at the door. Outside, an intruder was trying to shimmy open the door. An intruder who never saw this coming. Margaret thought, “I need to get a strategy!” Oh, did she ever get a strategy … and a giant ass fork. Watch her reenact it below:

Joey Kovar Dead of Suspected Drug Use

Joey Kovar, a former cast member on Real World: Hollywood who also appeared on Celebrity Rehab and struggled with substance abuse for years, was found dead inside a friend’s Chicago home today. He was 29. The reality star’s rep tells TMZ that Kovar’s body was discovered by an acquaintance early this morning, blood coming out of his ears and nose. The woman called 911 and EMTs pronounced Kovar dead at the scene. Kovar departed the Real World about halfway through his season in order to seek help for alcohol and drugs. He then admitted on VH1’s Celebrity Rehab that he often used cocaine and ecstasy. Due to his history and the state in which he was found, family members reportedly suspect elicit substances of some kind played a major role in Kovar’s death.
