Lady Gaga surprised London’s Moth Pub with an impromptu performance on September 9 when she took to its tiny stage and sang through her new single “Perfect Illusion.”
Last month, Australia actress Sophie Monk hosted a Q&A session with Bridget Jones’s Baby stars Renee Zellweger and Patrick Dempsey. Monk posed for a photo with the stars and posted it to her Instagram, but one tabloid was more interested in seeing if they could stir up a little trouble. According to the National Enquirer , Dempsey’s wife, Jillian was furious that the former Grey’s Anatomy star was “all over” Monk and “very touchy-feely” with her at the event. The Delux beauty co-creator is, according to the source, “ready to ditch him and walk away with half of his $40 million fortune.” Gossip Cop debunked the rumor , citing the Dempseys’ appearance with their children at the world premiere in London on September 5th. In January 2015, Fink filed for divorce from Dempsey after 15 years of marriage. “It is with careful consideration and mutual respect that we have decided to end our marriage,” a statement sent by the couple to Us Weekly read. “Our primary concern remains the wellbeing of our children, and we ask with profound gratitude that you respect our family’s privacy at this very sensitive time.” The couple did not have a prenup when they first got married, and Dempsey’s net worth is estimated to be $40 million. Reports suggest that Dempsey’s obsession with race-car driving is what put serious strain on their marriage, ultimately forcing her to file. The proceedings, however, were dropped , after the Dempseys were spotted holding hands in Europe last year. “For the past year, Patrick and Jillian have been working on getting to where they are right now. They are not dating anyone else, and only each other,” a source told People this past January. “They seem very happy and are spending a lot of time together. They go on dates and are also involved with the kids together.” When a journalist with ES Magazine asked if they were back together in May, Dempsey had an odd, if not cheeky answer. “Yeah, I think so,” he said. “You have to work at everything. And you cannot do everything. Something has to be sacrificed.” Dempsey’s focus is more on his three children than on racing these days. “I’ve sort of stepped back – I’m the team owner, but time goes by so quickly with my kids that I don’t want to miss that,” Dempsey said. “Last year we had a good team, and a good car, it was the right moment … where I could focus 100 percent on doing a full season. “Now it’s time to put that personal philosophy into my kids, allowing them to find their goals, their passions.” A source told People that the divorce “made Patrick miserable. It was definitely a wakeup call.”
I know some people will probably try to say that walking around in short shorts for the paps doesn’t count as “hard work,” but personally, I’m impressed by Pixie Lott ‘s dedication. Here she is continuing to put on her daily leg shows in London, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she needs a nice long vacation after all the work she’s been putting in. Let’s just hope it’s to a beach with a whole lot of paparazzi. Photos: WENN.com
Here’s the hardest-working pop star in England Pixie Lott continuing to do what she does best: walking the streets of London 24/7 with the paps looking smoking hot. And it’s nice to know that in case this whole music thing doesn’t pan out, Pixie has a very promising future as a hot nobody. But I’m telling you, if she worked even half this hard at being a singer, I bet she’d be #1 on the charts by now. Photos: WENN.com

After six successful season, Downton Abbey may be over, but that doesn’t mean its characters stopped existing. While series creator Julianne Fellowes prepares for the Emmy Awards ( Downton is nominated in two categories ), he spoke to Deadline Hollywood at The London Hotel in West Hollywood about the impact his show has had on the American audience. Fellowes is quite proud of the way he wrapped the British series. Instead of leaving viewers hanging as he’s done in the past, Fellowes ended things on a high note. “I feel that if an audience has been loyal to you for six years, they deserve to go away from the last episode feeling good,” he said. “And Edith, especially, deserved a happy ending. I had teased people, with the end of the series before the Christmas special—with once again, it had all gone wrong. But it came right in the end, and I wanted her to outrank Mary.” Edith had fallen in love with a man who ended up inheriting a Marquess title from his late cousin, making Edith a Marchioness, which meant she ranked higher in the British aristocratic hierarchy than Mary, who was only a Lady. Don’t worry about Mary, though. “It’s never “poor Mary,” Fellowes insists. “She would survive the 1917 Revolution. She’d become a Commissar.” What sort of life does Fellowes’ leading lady live post- Downton ? “My own belief is that Mary, whether you like her or dislike her, is a hard worker, and she’s practical. I think she will employ the kind of advice that she needs,” Fellowes predicts. “She would probably have opened the house to the public in the 1960s, as so many of them did, and she’d have retreated to a wing, and maybe only occupied the whole house during the winter.” Many families with stately homes opted to open their doors to the public, treating the estate as a sort of museum. The money raised from admission fees would then help to keep up with the costs of running a place such as Downton Abbey. “My own belief is the Crawleys would still be there, just as the Carnarvons are today [in the real Highclere Castle, where Downton was filmed],” Fellowes said. “George [Mary’s son] would have gone to the Second World War, and of course the fear is that he would be killed. “We know that Mary is pregnant, so there’s going to be another child. “As for the title, I don’t know where it would go beyond George, but let’s hope he gets through the war and has children of his own,” Fellowes continued. “George was born in 1921, which makes him nine years younger than my father, and he only died in 1999. If he lived to the same age as my father, he’d have died in 2008, which takes us right into the modern age.” Well, there’s seasons 7-10 right there. Somewhere on the Highclere estate, Lady Mary’s great-great granddaughter is sneaking a cigarette with her equally naughty friends. Downton Abbey Cast Performs Scene in American Accents
Despite all the people talking smack from their couches, the world is still very much in love with Gabby Douglas. And the opportunities for this young woman keep rolling in. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Olympic gymnast will join the judges’ panel for the 2017 Miss America Pageant. The Miss America Organization, Dick Clark Productions and ABC said that the athlete would also be joined by singer Laura Marano for the September 11 event. Angel Brinks Exclusive Interview Basketball Wives LA returned with a bang this season, and the claws have already come out — just a few episodes in! We caught up with Angel Brinks to talk about what it’s like to be thrust into a group with all their existing drama, and go more in depth into her emotional episode last Sunday . This is only your second season on BBWLA, so you’re still a bit of a newbie. What was it like being thrown into this catty reality TV world? Something in the back of my mind was off, obviously, because I thought coming into it that we were going to form some kind of sisterhood. You know, we’ve all been linked to professional basketball players…I figured they know ins and outs of this world and they could teach me a few things and we’d form a bond. But once I got thrown in I was like “Hold on — this wasn’t the plan!” I’m optimistic, I thought my personality and positive attitude had the capacity to change how they’d react to me or warm them up. But but they were just so mean! Draya brought you into the group, but then abruptly left mid-season and decided not to return. Do you miss having her around to navigate interactions with all these new ladies — especially in the crazier situations? I really wanted her to stay, I thought we could have had fun together. But even though she decided coming back wasn’t right for her, she encouraged me. She tells me to see it through and just don’t quit. The other ladies, they don’t know her like I do, and she’s a really great person. Plus, she brings so much life to the show! So yes, I was sad to see her go, but I understand. To get a little more serious, you shared some dark experiences from your past on this last episode. How have you dealt with sharing info about your late husband with your son as he’s gotten old enough to understand, and how has he been processing that? When [my son] was born, I had close family with me and they told me not to worry about the future, and to instead focus on the present and enjoying my baby. Basically, we could deal with it when the time comes. Then he hit preschool, then school, then the questions started to come. He’d watch cartoons, see situations there and wonder “where’s my daddy?” And since my husband was a rapper, I’d tell him “God needed him to come and play music for the angels.” But eventually he’d wonder “Doesn’t God know I need him too?” It’s been very difficult as he’s aged. As he got older, I had my daughter and We’d travel with Tyreke [Evans], and he’d look out at the clouds and ask if this is where God lives. I’d tell him yes, and he’d get all excited, looking out the window hoping to see his Daddy. He’ll still say he wishes his Daddy was here. What got cut from the show, and the reason we really began crying together, he said “I’m happy for my sister. I look at her and I think at least she has someone that loves her.” I had to tell him, “No, we ALL love you!” It’s sad, because even though he has uncles, cousins, grandparents, all of us — but that father figure is missing in his life, and there’s a void. I’m not sure what’s harder — when fathers are in your life and leave or die or never knowing them at all. When someone passes, at least we knew them and had them in our lives. As a parent I struggle with that. It’s hard to talk about certain things with him. He plays several video games where he sees characters die then come back to life, and I think some part of him still believes that his Daddy might come back. It’s just very hard. How have fan reactions been since Sunday’s episode? I feel like what’s going on in the world is so bad with all the hate we see. So, I didn’t think I would get so much support after this episode aired. I’m so glad and truly thankful that so many people reached out to support me, and many could actually relate to what I went through and have had similar experiences. This is what I want for the show. People look at something like Basketball Wives and see “Ohh, they have fancy cars, nice homes, clothes, etc.” and even though I’m not a basketball WIFE, I share in that lifestyle as well. BUT Behind all that, there’s real life and relatable issues, we’re able to give a voice to that. I just have to thank everyone so much for all their support. So, can you give us a little preview on what’s coming up for you the rest of this season? Do you end up clashing with anyone in particular? I really wish I could tell you! Of course I can’t speak much, but I do have my five-year anniversary party for my fashion line in an upcoming episode. There were several celebs there — Floyd Mayweather came, Lil Kim. I actually wasn’t going to celebrate, but people pushed me. 5 years is a milestone in a business. BUT, what you would think would be a beautiful setting didn’t exactly turn out to be. So there are a lot of twists and turns for the show and me getting into it with some people you wouldn’t necessarily expect. There’s a lot of surprises coming up. I will say that it’s a very emotional season for me, so I’m apologizing in advance for the tears *laughs.* But this is my real life. Nice! Don’t forget to tune into Basketball Wives next week to find out what happens next! Vh1/Instagram
